There were a few rules that the dragon lived by, live and let live and enjoy life and all it had to offer are the two Elsa had learned were apart of her true character. She had stored the pain that her dragon felt and tried to carefully address it whenever she was able.

However if the situation was uncalled for of such behavior she did not.

Whenever she wanted to bring forth the pain of touch and all the subtle implications that had been accompanying it in the past she found it inappropriate as her new companion had been busied with the inhabitants of forest.

Currently she was balanced on a sturdy branch crooning for a baby bird to join her family in the sky who had abandoned her. The bird's mother could not be faulted Elsa concluded as she had limited time and other young to care for and teach to find food.

She did give quite a significant amount of prompting to the chick before taking off, more than what Elsa had seen inspired by determination to help her young to fledge but despite all her efforts they were ignored.

The dragon decided to become a participant in the lesson climbing the tree and after some strong convincing became either a non treat or an inevitable variable in the chick's untimely demise.

After some attempts to demonstrate how flight was achieved the dragon much to the chick's detest began nudging it gently out of the nest, paying heed to not destroy its delicate structure.

Elsa's anxieties rose as she did from her rock perch as it neared the edge of the branch trying to hop Over the dragon's rounded snout. She hugged her arms and hair in a learnt behavior to curve her negative emotions which increased.

The dragon hadn't waited for the robin chick's consensus to draw the conclusion it was ready to. She had seen it, it was not sick, weak, or suffered any inflictions it simply didn't want. That was why she persisted so not willing to let the chick waste the precious life it had been gifted.

Upon the edge the dragon used her tongue to nudge it forth. The chick drawn out a pleading squeak upon the long fall to ground, yet it never met the ground and instead in the rampant effort of flapping met the end of a snout underneath.

Deposit the safety net she provided the dragon had remained powerless in whether the bird would survive but instead increased its chances by not allowing it to drop too low whenever they failed to catch their weight with their wings. After an hour of falling, flapping, and catching the bird had learned how to navigate the air as a novice.

Elsa didn't know why she was hesitant to glance to right where the dragon who was too busy overwatching the bird's flight. Perhaps it was the conclusions her mind regarded no matter how foggy they may be.

Her gaze became magnet when the dragon turned her head to her. Why had she been so nervous? It was comfortable stare they held together.

It chirp broke their regarding of one another. Instead of dwell in the moment the dragon drew forward lifting to her hind legs. The noises she let out were exclamatory in pride that made the woman jealous as they represented everything she wished for growing up.

They definitely inspired the bird to leave the wood heading for the open fields. Their tutor started in the direction, turning as if sensing Elsa's lack of following she summoned her with a growl and head jerking in the direction. She was obeyed.

In the field what was to be respected as the bird's family resided to which they joined gaining height. The dragon flapped her wings instinctively wanting to join but with great restraint held back. She had not developed to the same understanding with the other robins as she had with the fledgling.

After a couple of minutes of watching the family take the sky Elsa approached however shyly to her companion and nudged her flank unsuccessfully moving her in any manner physically. "Their amazing, want to see some other friends of mine?"

The contemplative ooh said yes as the dragon followed the spirit back to the forest. They walked longer than Elsa would have expected had it not been for the multiple stops they made along the way to say hello to some very frightened brown rats, a few stoats, and some toads which the dragon tried to copy by hoping along in the streams creating splashes Elsa avoided.

Elsa denoted their arrival with a waving gesture over her arm to a bees nest which bustled so busily they're arrival had not been noticed. She placed a halting hand upon the eager dragon's chest spreading her fingers causing an involuntary shiver.

"I don't think they're as eager to be your friend as the stoats were."Her voice chastened, as she felt the strong and powerful inhales and exhales of the creature. Reminding her of life's very essence, to take in each moment and live it fully. Was that what it meant to be a dragon, to know oneself and be just that?

Her dragon had unapologetically introduced herself, nothing but herself, to other creatures wanting to know more of them while also showcasing who she was to them hoping that they would like her. If they did they learned much more than if they hadn't known her and if they weren't interested it was a loss however sad not debated long enough before she moved on.

They observed the bees before Elsa continued. "Humans work alot like bees, everyone fulfilling their respective roles. However fulfilling and empty those roles may be." The dragon met her eyes with a question that could not be avoided. The spirit felt more critical of herself reminding her of when she affronted among family gatherings or even during political events.

Her body deviated from their respective spots as an audience trailing away.

"Sometimes it all makes sense when it happens, you fall into it, and it fits you perfectly. And... Then you feel selfish for wanting more, and you wonder if anything will ever be enough, after you get that... What if you just continued to want more?" Elsa reign herself in at seeing the dragon contemplate her words. She had reprimanded herself for voicing such whimsical woes to someone who hurt so thoroughly. She wasn't the last of her species, she wasn't the one being hunted possibly for her whole life, or being mutilated-

A pulling vociferate draw her in from her mind. The dragon's expression was readable if it had lasted for longer than a few seconds before she turned to the beehive exhaling loudly. Elsa's cheeks reddened at her spacing before joining her once more. She decided to guide the one-sided conversation to a more lightening direction.

"The beautiful thing about humans is unlike bees that we know of is we value individualism much more. Spectacular individuals that break from the norm in remarkable ways are held in a high regard

Pontificating eyes filled Elsa with the wonders of all the things she got to expose dragon to in the times to come. Not just with knowledge but the art and inventions that existed only in the human world.

If her companion took in consideration the simplicities of a beehive something she had probably seen so purposively than how would she intake Arendelle's selective collection of art of a species whom had hurt he so viciously.

Turning away the dragon had turned to Elsa who hadn't noticed her hand resting upon the dragon's right flank and blew a considerable amount of white warm smoke upon her face.

The spirit coughed shortly before joining the creature in her departure toward the beach. A place she frequently vacated at night Elsa noted.

"Your majesty, I do not wish to doubt you or your decisions-"

"Yet you do just that." Anna mumbled as she sorted though files. Silence had informed her that either her snarky comments or her lack of usual replies had drawn them to company that was less than cantankerous than what was offered by their queen whom they would not win any argument with rather due to her ability to be a skilled contritairent than rank.

Anna had both a beloved and conniving way of always asking why in a discussion that if not favored to her people or family she was less and less inclined to listen to. Despite her inclination to lead with her heart than head in alot of decisions, much to her advisors admonishment, were not finalized until they went through Elsa or Kristoff making them very valuable allies to have in a discussion.

"Knock knock," Anna smiled seeing Kristoff half way through the door leaning against the frame with dinner.

"Come in." Anna sang eyes going back to the papers littered upon her desk.

Kristoff considered the papers setting the plate where they had not lie. "Mattias had gone over with me the other militant's concerns from Ruskland lords and weasletown." Anna inhales deeply as her husband's hands had run over her arms still facing the desk.

"You can't blame them," Kristoff continued in his massage. "We may be small but Arendelle is a scary ideal to those not accustomed to magic." He managed this conclusion putting himself in the shoes of a commoner who had not been native to the magical elements and land Arendelle possessed. Now that their sovereign had garnered even more attention than two sisters unmarried, to a sister married with no political gain with another apparently immortal being counted among spirits of magical nature ready at attention to defend their land. Such a promise of gain could not be ignored even by someone as obtuse as Kristoff.

So they had to divy up their attention to actual courts who pledged their allegiance in veneration to kiss asses who wanted nothing more than protection from larger powers with prestige.

Anna had been knee deep happily aiding her people in such discussions brining forth what some had considered a new age of wealth and trade which benefited everyone down to the lower class of people. She was less inclined to bullies who tried to force their way into Arendelle's way of life.

Kristoff was the last one to be approached by those his wife would impetuously reject, but he much to their dismay, would proceed to discuss the issues with her and at times with Elsa, Anna's reasoning versus the present argument.

When Kristoff could not get through to her despite his biased opinion Mattias spoke for not only the people but also their past which Anna, no matter her protest, was beguiled to listen to.

"It's difficult to take another's word for peace when they hold such a position of power." The major general began careful to not offend the already peeved Monarch.

"They're frightened of us..." He took the route of boasting about Arendelle rather than bring it down. A stance he and Anna could find a commonplace upon. "As they should be, we are a terrifying nation as we have ever been before, it would unwise to provoke already negative stereotypes they hold, in fear about us. Let's prove them wrong. Show them we are above the greed and hunger of power they believe us to be."

This appealed to Anna's contrarian nature even more so. If other's thought her sister a monster than let them be proven wrong time and time again.

She moved to speak to the woman who was not there. An ordinary occurrence more than what she was comfortable admitting. Nodding, Anna dismissed her general, looking out to night with her arms still wrapped around her body, as of it were secret that her fingers anxiously pricked at her dress and loose hanging hair.

Kristoff shot him a grateful smile turning afterward to his wife.

Anna spoke into the silent invention he gave as if the very important diplomatic matter that concluded was nonexistent to them.

"I can still sometimes smell her in the air of the castle when I go through the halls, as if she had just walked by. Does that make me crazy?" Kristoff opened his mouth to answer but was stopped as Anna continued not noticing and giving him time to answer.

"You know if we had that relationship... That we do now I would have told you you were crazy but now instead of thinking of all the impossibilities of it, I can't help but think of the possibilities it. Of all the things I wish I said to her. I rehearsed them so much as if they were a memory instead of a figment of my imagination." He definitely did not expect this turn of conversation since conclusions like these always geared towards the spirit and also... Actually no he expected this fully since said spirit was contextual to the conversation prior.

"And yet I get jealous of the words I never got to say the first time around compared to the ones which would be told her by her lover." Okay, this definitely wasn't the direction her consort had been anticipating.

"They'll get to say all the right things to her the first time that set off that flame and get to feel all the butterflies she gives them, not knowing how deep her river runs. They'll get her without any strings attached! And I know that it's wrong that I can't move on past this but no matter who Elsa ends up with I can't shake the feeling that no matter what they won't deserve the sweet, sensitive, patient, brave person she's become! What if they take advantage of her? Or don't appreciate her properly?" Anna spun to him now speaking in a tone the servants would most likely gossip about the next morning but to her it mattered not. "I got to see it, how she's grown and they won't! They won't truly know everything even if I myself tell them!"

Kristoff joined his wife unsure where the conversation derailed from Elsa and her fellow spirits posing a threat to other nations to her love life which was as far as he was concerned nonexistent. Truth be told he would rather discuss his and Anna's. Nothing was the trouble in paradise truth be told but Bulda had always told him that there was always room for improvement.

Still he held her there between his chest and arms which covered her back, rocking back and forth. Whatever she needed he'd promised he'd be that no matter what.

A gasp drew his attention downward atop her head. Her tear stained cheeks beamed with the same heat he hated and loved whenever she got an idea.

"That's it." Anna whispered as the train of thought took root. She pulled away slightly still resting her arms upon his upturned biceps.

"We can help Elsa find her one and only!" Oh god it was worse than what he had imagined her conclusion would be somehow. "Oh ho oh ho yes! If we hand pick her beloved and made certain that he loved her than things can't help but go perfectly."

"Okay, first of how do we know her type let alone what she's looking for?" He held up a second finger. "Second of how do you know she's looking for that right now?"

Anna still had a solution to both. "I'll ask her and second of course she is plus if I get this done and delt with I won't have to worry about it as much as I do."

Before he could ask her how much thought she donated to this Anna held up her finger to his lip. "Quite alot and imagine how hard it was to find my true love, I had to fall off of cliff."

"You knew then?" Kristoff spoke between the pressure of the finger, his lips puckered.

Anna took another bite ignoring the coldness of the meal, speaking between a forkful.

"Actually I knew on our sixth date but whose counting?"

"You apparently."

The sky was particularly awake as if aware an observance had been gathered. The dragon's eyes absorbed every small detail of it not taking a second to look at Elsa as she spoke as if trying to memorize the stars in her head.

Throughout the day they had showed each other the wonders they each had been exposed to during their stay in the enchanted forest. One discovery more beautiful than the last. .

Elsa had learned of amazing powers an aggressive stream had upon fish who risked their lives to go up it, starting the cycle of life once more and taught the fact that plants had an equally aggressive deterrent to keep from being touched. A lesson she regretted illustrating after consuming a plant who had released spices upon her tongue a effect that did not effect her dragon. The steam created delighted her partner to the highest degree who created her own display of steam to match Elsa's which she blew in her face.

Now appraising eyes took her in before speaking. "You were born on the fourteenth." This was not said as revelation as it was confirmed in the low hum that took in more of the July sky and its constellations.

"I chose a name for you." she began a knot settled in her stomach as she wrung her fingers. "Ryu. It's Japanese but you probably already knew that." Maybe Anna was right and calling the dragon, dragon but in a different language was a foolish idea.

Elsa continued considering the dragon's careful wide eyes as she considered more of the sky and the aurora that danced above them. She hadn't done much that day if her actions were reaccounted by others. Taught a bird to fly, made friends with stoats, saw some bees, flying about in the sun, and traveled to beach, before taking in all Heaven had to offer as if it were made specifically for her. The infinite was rare and too beautiful, too vast for Elsa to write down but she'd be damned if anyone would stop her from seeing Ryu see it.

From her seeing it.
