Chapter 20
Harry couldn't help but smile as he watched Daphne getting dressed. Luckily she had brought her school robes to the room, as her dress was torn to pieces. The young werewolf felt guilty at first when he came down from his orgasmic bliss and looked at the state of her clothes and neck. Maybe he had let just a little too much of his wolf emerge during their lovemaking.
"Harry, don't worry…" Daphne said after taking a sip from a potion when he brought it up. "I am as guilty as you, and I don't regret it; it was perfect…" The girl finished in a dreamy voice, kissing his lips, then landing soft kisses on his jawline. Harry looked at the potion on her hand and raised his eyebrows. He had taken this kind of elixir too many times to recognize the smell of a pain-relieving potion.
"Did I hurt you?" Harry could hear the concern in his own voice.
"Goddess, how cute are you, and how concerned. No, Harry, it was amazing, all three times, but I need to walk back to the e dungeons, and I will be somewhat sore tomorrow. Better safe than sorry." Daphne's smile was contagious, Harry could not only smell her happiness, the pheromones in the air, but he could see the magic colors dancing around them. Daphne was glowing in his eyes, and it was beautiful. Unable to resist, he leaned down and kissed her.
The kiss was passionate, carrying, and full of promises that not even he understood yet. Harry felt the beautiful witch melting in his arms and loved the feeling. He was starting to realize something about himself. Harry was beginning to see how the feelings of protectionism, almost possessiveness, the boy felt about them helped him move forward. But weirdly, they were different from what he initially thought.
The werewolf didn't want to control or boss them around; no, he loved how they melted and moaned and smiled at him. Not only that, it was not only his girls. He liked how he could help Neville and how he was there for him in return. How happy he was for Blaise and Ginny. Harry realized that his instincts pressed him to help them move forward, to protect the pack, just like Katie had said.
But Daphne, Katie, Fleur, and Hermione, to some stand, were different. They were special and connected to him in a way he couldn't yet explain. Even the thought of living without one of them was painful. Yet he was doing it, living in pain for the last few weeks.
His emotions were a mess. And the full moon was not helping.
Harry took the invisibility cloak and wrapped it around Daphne and himself.
"Hum… here, I was afraid you would ask to pop me out." The witch said with a radiant smile that sent a warm wave through his magic.
"Now, what is the fun in that? That way, I can keep touching you a little more." Harry said as they walked, running his hand up her tight and under her robes, giving her naked bun a soft squeeze, marveling by how fit it was.
"You are a pervert wolf, you know…" she said with false indignation.
"Guilty as charged…" Harry gave her a mischievous grin.
As they reached the dungeon's entrance, Harry sighed and held Daphne's chin, making her look at him. He needed to talk to her. "Daphne, tonight was amazing, but…"
"I know, Harry. But I am not giving up on you." Daphne said. "consider it a first step towards fixing things."
Harry smiled at her and kissed her lips again. "I have dreamed about you for a long time, but my emotions are a mess right now. I am broken, Daphne. I don't even know if I can be fixed… no, let me finish. Right now, I can't decide, but after the full moon, I will fix it, one way or another. I promise." Harry kissed her again. A deep passionate kiss for all the stolen years.
.oOo.
Daphne watched as Harry disappeared inside his cloak, ending what had been the best night of her life. "So far…" she thought hopefully. Harry was her's, and she knew it. Daphne had already made peace with the fact they would never be alone. Even without Fleur, Katie would always be there. Right now, after tonight, she didn't care, as long as she also knew he was hers.
Yes, he was a broken man, someone had done that to him, but the girl felt she could help him mend. But Daphne also knew she couldn't do that alone. But right now, for the young witch, all that mattered was the feeling of joy she was feeling; not even the little hint of pain between her legs could spoil it. Harry had totally accepted her, all the things the girl liked and wanted, and he responded in kind, making her feel beautiful and wanted. And goddess, how she had cum. A lot. The witch was exhausted, and he didn't even flinch. Once again, Katie was right.
Daphne opened her double dorm door, trying to be as silent as possible but to no avail. She had barely entered the room before being assaulted by the arms and questions of her jumpy roommate.
"Oh my goodness, it's so late! So it worked? Did you guys shag? Was he good? Did it hurt? How did you manage it?" Tracey shot in rapid succession with a silly smile.
"Calm down, Tracey…"
"Holy crap! You are glowing!" Tracey's eyes went wide.
"What?"
"Not metaphorically glowing, I mean, that too, but actually glowing with magic! Just like Fleur!" Tracey explained. "Is like… beautiful!"
Daphne gave her a shy smile.
"Ha! he shagged you rotten! So long, ice queen! Long live the ass queen!" Tracey made a mocking toast.
"Shut up, Tracey! Yes, it worked, yes, we made love, and yes, it was good…" Daphne sighed.
"Hum, too good, it seems… I want the sordid details, the graphic details. But first, Hermione asked me to pass you that." Tracey gave her a note. "Also, Blaise is worried, and he said Draco is acting weird. Guess he will talk to you in the morning."
Daphne nodded and took the note. Draco was troublesome and had been exhibiting erratic behavior over the last weeks. If he was somehow planning something against Harry, he was in for a world of pain.
"Enough with that, now to the more serious stuff, tell me every fucking thing!" Tracey said, grabbing Daphne's hands.
Daphne sighed. She knew there was no escape.
.oOo.
Daphne woke up feeling sore. The witch quickly retrieved a pain relief potion from her personal and secret stash and let the refreshing wave wash over her body. The memory from the last night came back to her, and the pain was totally worthed. She made a mental note to talk with Katie after the little get-together Hermione had planned for lunchtime. Maybe Daphne and the chaser could work something together to learn more about the pack magic and finally get Harry to come back to the two of them. But those were plans for later.
Now she was just starting.
The dark-haired girl shook her friend over on the next bed, not so subtly. "Wake up, Tracey." and then left for the bathroom.
Daphne looked at herself in the full-body mirror. Did she really look different? The girl didn't think so. But she certainly felt different, like something long overdue was finally back in place.
"Get it together, Daphne…" She thought. " We are not together yet, which was just a step forward, and we still have a long way to go. And there is Fleur."
She frowned, thinking about the French veela. It hurt to admit, but Harry did love her as well. And she was a fierce woman. Tracey entered the bathroom, giving her best friend a knowing smile and wink. "Looking well shagged!" The blonde girl said, making Daphne roll her eyes.
They walked to the common hall together and sat beside Blaise. The tall, dark young wizard gave her a piercing look. Something was wrong. Daphne nodded to him. The three of them got up and walked to an empty classroom on her way to the day's first class. Blaise quickly locked and silenced the door. "I think we may have a problem…" The boy started saying
"Do tell."
"Draco. It seems he is really back to his old self, and even Parkinson is attached back to his arm…"
"Really, when did that happen?" Tracey asked
"A couple of days ago, you would have noticed if you weren't so busy fucking Potter." The tall boy glared.
"Burgger Blaise!" Daphne waved.
"I am just saying, this shit is not normal, the way his behavior is shifting. He was bragging to Nott about something his father is going to get to help the Dark Lord."
"Did he tell what it is?" Daphne asked. That was bad.
"No…"
"Is Parkinson still fucking Weasley?"
"Yes." Tracey answered. "If I didn't know better, I would be tempted to say she is in love, but I don't know if pug face is capable of that."
"Does Draco know?" Daphne asked.
Double negative.
"Good. Blaise, keep an eye on Draco; something is definitely not right. Let's go to class while I think about this." Daphne finished, the pieces were moving, and the full moon was close.
.oOo.
Fleur stepped out of the carriage to a sight she had missed for almost a month now. Harry was there, leaning on a tree and looking at the lake. The young veela watched his messy hair flowing with the wind, round spectacles, and feral eyes. The full moon was close, bringing the wolf almost to the surface. The wizard turned at her with worried eyes but with a smile.
Fleur somehow knew why he was there. Daphne. Maybe it was the bond, or perhaps the pack magic, and she was not sure how; she just knew. The veela was feeling angry and jealous. And guilty. Did Harry know about Hermione? She had no idea how much of the bond he could still feel.
Harry walked toward her, and Fleur had to fight the urge to run into his arms. The werewolf somehow looked almost stable. "Fleur, can we talk?" he asked.
"Sure 'arry." They walked to a tree trunk next to the lake. Fleur looked at him, gazing right back at her, and the veela got lost in the glowing green orbs. So many different emotions were staring back at her: fear, anger, and most of all, love. Harry was a mess.
"Fleur, before anything… I miss you, I really do, and I understand if you never want to talk to me or look into my face anymore. I understand if you want to be with Hermione even…"
The veela was taken aback. "You knew it…"
Harry just pointed at his own nose before running his hand through his hair, the way he used to do when he was nervous. Fleur wished she was the one doing it to calm him down.
"Fleur, don't worry, I know it, I'm… ok with it, I think. No, I am an idiot, a hypocrite, and a bastard." Harry raised his hand before the girl could speak. "Hear me out; I did something last night."
"You sleep with Daphne," Fleur said in a sad voice. The girl felt angry and jealous, but hadn't she done the same with Hermione?
Harry looked surprised. "Yes, I did…" the boy looked down. Fleur had to fight her anger. She was feeling the fire starting to burn inside herself. But why was that? It was because it had been Daphne? Had it been Hermione or Katie, she would be so angry? "I know you must hate me now…"
Fleur realized she was afraid of losing him, and she was fearful of losing him to Daphne. "I don't hate you…" Fleur finally said as she started to calm down.
"you don't?" Harry asked in disbelief.
"You hate me for being with 'Hermione?" Fleur asked, afraid of the answer.
"No, of course not. You are the best thing that ever happened in my life Fleur. Even if you don't want to see me ever again, I will never hate you! I love you, Fleur, and I ever will!" Harry was quick to answer, and Fleur could sense the honesty in his words.
All the rage was subtly gone from her, and she could feel the emotional turmoil, the truth of his words. Harry really did love her. "I love you too 'arry. With all my heart. I can never hate you. I am angry and hurt, and so are you, I know. But I love you." Fleur finally said.
"Aren't you afraid of me?"
"The only thing I am afraid of is living without you!" That was all she could answer.
"Fleur, I am a mess right now. I can't think straight. If I hadn't slept with Daphne, I would not even be able to speak with you. I don't know what will happen to us. But I can tell you this. I do love you, and after the full moon, I will fix all the bloody mess I put us all in. I can't promise it will all work out. But I will fix it, one way or another…"
Harry was rambling, and Fleur could see he was at a breaking point. Without thinking, she wrapped her arms around him and put her lips on his.
Like the first time they kissed, it seemed like the world had stopped. When their tongues touched, she felt like melting, and he was her wolf. At that moment, full of rage, lust, and love, Fleur made a decision.
With or without Daphne, she would complete the bond.
.oOo.
After eating and refreshing herself, Daphne walked outside the castle, the spring finally starting to take away the last chilling winds from the winter days.
Harry had talked with Fleur like she expected he would do. The boy was honest, and she loved him for that. Daphne knew he loved the French girl as much as he loved her. Being a pureblood witch, growing up with Tracey, and having only her sister as a sibling, Daphne knew being a second wife was always possible. To say she was happy with it was a stretch. The witch would prefer Harry only for herself, especially after last night. Still, after finally passing the time with the wizard and getting to really know him, she understood he would be miserable without Katie and Hermione in his life. Katie and Hermione would always be there, one way or another.
The witch arrived at the quidditch field, looking around to see the strange weeds growing for the third task. One more thing she had to deal with. Her man had enemies, deadly and powerful ones, and Harry needed all the help he could get.
Daphne always had considered herself a powerful witch, and she was competent and a fast learner. The witch was always in the top tier of her peers. Only Hermione would usually score higher, but after seeing Harry and Fleur, and, in a different way, Katie, she understood they were not her peers in magical prowess. They were in a different league of their own. They leak power, and she finally understood the likes of Dumbledore or the dark lord. If Harry survived, he and Fleur could be as powerful as the older wizards, maybe even more if they were together.
No, Daphne's power was different, like the other Greengrasseses. The girl was intelligent and ruthless, and she had information. Daphne knew things and how things were done. And Harry needed that knowledge if he wanted to make changes. Being lord Potter and heir of the Blacks, two of the more influential families, both in the so-called light and dark sides of the mote, was a power he was only starting to understand. Being married to the heir of the Greengrass, the most influential grey family, would make the alliance a force to be reckoned with. That FLeur was the daughter of one of the most influential politicians in France only helps. People would love and hate him. Harry will come to realize that change, lasting changes at least, were not made only at wand point.
The fact that Fleur was half veela, and if word got out that Harry himself was a werewolf would cause an immense backlash. And he would need Daphne to help him to fight against it. That was her power. But, for any of this to come to fruition, he needed to survive. And she would make sure of it. If there was something Daphne shared with the other witches, it was that.
Thinking about it, she finally saw the other girls, sitting on the benches around the forming maze. What a weird group, the Gryffindor who was brighter than Ravenclaws, the werewolf chaser, the veela princess, and now the snake who didn't believe in blood purity (and slept with lions, she reminded herself with a grim). Daphne got up to their side. Hermione smiled at her, but Fleur glared at her, and Katie gave a deep sniff and a confused look.
"I'm glad you made it, Daphne." the bushy-haired witch said in a weird cheerful voice.
"Of course, I wouldn't miss our little get-togethers for nothing. But why here, Hermione?" Daphne asked m
Hermione pointed at the growing maze. "Devil's snare. It will help Katie, as the full moon is tomorrow."
"I still don't think that is a good idea…" The chaser said.
"Well, I guess we all know why we are here…" Hermione started with her lecture tone, waving away the werewolf girl's concerns.
.oOo.
"That will not work…" Katie thought with a sigh. As much as the devil's snare numbed her senses, it was not enough, especially so close to the full moon. Worse yet, both Daphne and Fleur had Harry's scent all over them. The werewolf tried to force herself to pay attention to Hermione's words.
"So, I think I am safe to say that everyone here worries about Harry." The bushy-haired girl looked at the other three. "More than that, I would go as far as to say everyone here loves him in one way ."
There was an uncomfortable silence. Katie noticed that Daphne and Fleur refused to look at each other's faces.
"We all also know he is in danger. First of all, there is the psycho wraith around, but I believe there is more than that. Someone put his name on the goblet, and I firmly believe the tasks were rigged, and I am pretty sure chief Bones think the same."
"That is obvious," Daphne said. "The wizardry world is really averse to change, and anyone with half a brain can see that Harry is a powerful force for that."
"I will not lie…" continued Hermione. "I think it will get worse before it gets better. So, if any of you want out, now is the time." No one moved, and Fleur even scoffed.
"Great, so I was studying the book written by Katie's ancestor and also did a lot of studies on some other forms of bonding…"
That was a little too much for Katie.
"Wait, wait, wait, Hermione… if we are going to discuss that, don't you think we are missing one essential person?" the she-wolf asked.
"I don't think so, and we can solve this amongst ourselves; Harry would not understand…" Hermione said.
"What? Damn! Why not?" Katie was fuming at this; how could Hermione say that after what she had done?
"Erm… Harry has some… problems in the emotional area…" all three girls glared at Hermione. "And he is a boy…"
"Man," Fleur said.
"ok, he is a male…"
Katie crossed her arms and potted. "That is dragonshit! You are the one who acted behind his back!" The girl got up to leave.
"Wait, hear me up!" Hermione pleaded.
Katie was angry, her breath was fast, and her body temperature was getting high. But she trusted Hermione. More than this, Harry trusted her. She tried to calm herself and listen.
She soon discovered how hard it would be.
.oOo.
Fleur looked at Katie. The veela couldn't help but to agree with the beautiful she-wolf and to admire her loyalty. The veela herself was feeling something very similar. A hint of guilt came to the French witch. Was this the pack bond? Did she underestimate their connection so much, just as other people tend to do with the veela bond? All because of jealousy?
Fleur looked the girl in the eyes. Katie also had the wolf eyes Harry had, although hers did not glow and were almost yellow now. But they were beautiful nonetheless. Fleur smiled at her.
"I think Katie is right, and Harry told me he would try and solve things after the full moon… I don't know if it is fair for us to discuss without him."
Hermione rolled her eyes. "Of course, he will try; that is what Harry does; he tries to solve and fix things, too many things on his own. Tell me, Fleur, do you want to come back to him?
"Oui, of course!" Fleur felt almost insulted by the question. Daphne and Katie looked at her, then at Hermione.
"Daphne, what if he says he wants you?" Hermione asked, and Daphne kept a cold expression and just nodded.
"Harry is my alpha, and I would never leave him," Katie answered before Hermione even asked.
"But you want more?" Hermione asked.
"Damn yes!" Katie said in an angry tone.
"Would any of you be willing to give him up?"
Daphne shook her head, and Katie waved her hand and scoffed.
"you know I can't 'ermione…" Fleur said in a soft voice
"Wait," Daphne finally said. "What does that supposed to mean?"
This girl, why did this girl make Fleur so angry? The veela could almost feel the fireballs on her hands. Then it hit her; she was afraid of Daphne and losing Harry to her. She had hit her when she told Fleur may not be there next year. Fleur was not there before and could not be there when Harry needed her again.
Daphne made her feel guilty.
"I'm trying to get there. The thing is, not one of you, of us, would give him up. But some of us want more than just to be at his side. I think that is the pack bond forming. I have watched the bonds forming closely, and I am almost sure this is what is happening here."
"I always thought this kind of thing was a myth…" Daphne whispered.
"Soulbonds are a myth, but we have many other kinds of magical bonds. Magical marriages, business, and house alliances, of course, he has this effect on us because we all have strong feelings for him even before. But we are not the only ones." Hermione continued. "For example, look at how Blaise and Neville started following him. Of course, he was already a natural leader in my eyes, but his magic accentuated it. Kinda like the headmaster does." the girls nodded.
Fleur was sure her feelings for Harry were not a product of some magical compulsion. Neither was his for her. She remembered their letters fondly and how they grew at each other. On the contrary, the magic was the result of their feelings. But was it true for the others as well?
Hermione continued, and Fleur had to agree with Harry; her lecture tone was kind of funny. "So, after some research and some arithmancy equations…"
"Wait, you calculate the bond? Is that even possible?" Katie asked.
"Not the bond exactly, but how it grows and its effects, and everything can be turned into equations." Hermione giggled. "I was saying, yes, the werewolf pack bond seems to work like a coven bond…" all girls were taken aback. Covens were powerful and rare, and most people thought of them as dark magic. "But not exactly the same, Katie; no need to kill me. The thing is, Harry is powerful, that is the reason you see him as an alpha or the center of a coven, but there is another wild card there."
Fleur knew what was coming next. The witch thought about asking Hermione to stop but decided it was better to let it all in the clear. Those girls needed to understand her feelings for her wolf. But was she able to understand theirs?
"See, Harry's pack bond is not a pure one...because he is in another bond already, and it has influenced him profoundly," Hermione said, and Even Fleur was taken by surprise by this. "I think the magic of both bonds intertwined and affected each other…" Hermione said, looking at Fleur.
"Wait, hold on, what are you talking about? What other bond?" Daphne asked.
Hermione looked at Fleur, and the veela just nodded. "Fleur is forming a veela bond with him…" the bushy-haired witch said.
All hell broke loose.
.oOo.
Hermione watched as both Daphne and Katie opened and closed their mouths a few times, and Fleur just looked at them with a prideful defiant gaze. Hermione was ready to start talking again, but Daphne beat her to it.
"Wait, you are bonding with him?" It has been only a few times that Hermione saw Daphne that emotional. "I hope the stories they tell About the bloody veela bond are not true!"
"I have to say they are. ALL OF THEM!" Fleur said defiantly.
"Damn!" Katie said. "Hold on, does Harry know?" Fleur turned her defiant gaze at the werewolf. "Fleur, does Harry bloody know?"
"Non… but I think he suspects…" Fleur said in defeat.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" Katie roared, her eyes looking even more feral and taking the girls by surprise. " When will you people stop making this to him? When will you stop making decisions about his life without telling him!" Both Fleur and Hermione flinched at this, and Hermione felt a pinch of pain in her chest. Was Katie right? Did she trust Harry so little with his own life?
"Would it have made any difference?" Hermione asked. "The bond occurs almost naturally when the veela finds and loves a suitable person…"
"Of course, it would…" Daphne said in a more neutral tone. The witch had recomposed herself But hearing the condescending tone of her voice, Fleur snapped.
"What would have changed!" The blond witch got up, and Hermione could see her veela hereditary coming out in her eyes and flowing hair. "It would have stopped you from sleeping with him? I know it wouldn't, as you did it anyway, using the full moon to convince him!"
Hermione was taken aback; Daphne had sex with Harry. How would that change things? Had she really used the proximity with the full moon to lure him?
"It may not have stopped her…" Katie said. "But would have stopped him! Damn! Nothing like this would have happened!"
"How do you know? He may have wanted it anyway, and I know Daphne wanted it!" Fleur said.
"Yes, just like you slept with Hermione! Yes, Fleur, I know, and he knows! He really thought he had lost you!" Katie answered. " Do you really think it wouldn't have made a difference?"
Fleur covered her mouth with her hand. Hermione tried to talk, to defend FLeur; she was the one who had gone to the veela. Fleur was in a fragile moment, and they had been connected closely through the pack bond since the second task. But again, Daphne was faster.
"Wait, you are willing to share Harry with Hermione but not with us?" the girl narrowed her eyes to the French. "Is this because we are not witch's witches? Because we are not interested in you that way, and she is? How egotistical is that!"
Hermione looked wide-eyed at Daphne, her eyes darting from one witch to another like a tennis match. Was that true?
"No!" Fleur actually screamed, with tears in her eyes. "Nom, it's not that…"
All the girls went silent, watching the prideful veela cry. For a moment, she looked as fragile as any of them. Not the perfect model, the magical prodigy, or the tournament champion, just a girl like them.
"Then why Fleur? You know he can legally have more than one wife, he could be with all of us, and you know he needs us… why?" Daphne finally asked.
"Because… I didn't want to share because I was afraid… the bond allows me to read Harry's emotions…" Fleur looked at Hermione with something like pity in her eyes. "Sorry 'Hermione, he does really love you, he desires you… us, like, you will always be there, one way or another" She turned to the other girls. "But Harry profoundly loves you two, really loves you, even if he didn't realize. He can't let you go… is not just desire… I was afraid of losing him to you…"
Hermione felt tears burning in her eyes. She knew that she could feel what Harry had with the other girls was different, but to listen to it be said was hard nonetheless. Would he ever be with her? Would she want it?
In the silence that followed, she decided it was not important right now.
.oOo.
The girls stayed in silence for a long time. Daphne let it all sink in. The bond, Fleurs fears, her love for Harry. He loved her back. She knew it. With a deep breath, Daphne got up, walked to Hermione, and sat beside her. With a smile, the Slytherin girl hugged the Gryffindor. She felt Hermione's tears on her shoulder and whispered at her after a couple of minutes. "He probably loves you even more than any of us, even if it is in a different way. You always have been there for him, and he will always be there for you. Besides, there is time…"
Daphne allowed Hermione to stay hidden on her shoulder while looking at the other girls. Harry loved them, all three of them. It warmed her heart, but it was also something they would have to deal with.
Fleur sat on the other side of Hermione and caressed her back from top to bottom, trying to reassure the girl. The veela took a deep breath.
"Harry… has problems. I don't really know exactly what happened in his childhood, but it left more than his physical scars. Harry is profoundly damaged. I can sense it through the bond. He tries to hide it with humor and bravado, but he is hurt. He thinks he is not worthy of other people's love. Every time someone shows him affection, he gets lost. He just started healing with us, and it will take a long time for him to heal if he ever completely does. I know. I am the same on a lesser scale. After the allure manifested, I was lead to believe every sign of affection outside my family was fake, and it was someone driven by the aura or trying to get some from me…" Daphne listened carefully as the beautiful girl opened her heart out. "Harry showed me that I can be loved for who I am."
Fleur looked at Daphne and Katie. "And I think he did the same for you, non? Despite who you are, he embraced all of you." her voice suddenly recovered the usual prideful and commanding tone. "I have made a decision. After the full moon, I will explain the bond to him, and if he still wants, I will complete it."
The other girls looked at her. Hermione finally lifted her head. A new determination in her eyes. "Yes, you must complete it!"
"But isn't the veela bond what is interfering with the pack bond?" Daphne asked.
"Yes, but it is already part of Harry by now. And I made the calculations. After Fleur and Harry bond, because of her magic, combined with his, the pack bond will be even more powerful. Both Harry and Fleur are really powerful, and their feelings for each other potentialize the veela bond."
"That is why I kept feeling the wolf even after being away from him…" Fleur wondered.
"Yes, usually only the full bonded veela get the echoes of her mate's magic, but that was happening because he had chosen you, us, to be his inner circle." Hermione gestures with her arms.
"That explains a lot… Why did this happen?" Katie asked.
"ok, now I am just doing an educated guess. It has to do with the very nature of Harry and the magic around him. Harry always adapts, and magic around him does the same. It is like something instinctive, a way to ensure his survival. I think that is the reason why he struggles with theory in most subjects other than runes but excels in practical magic. I think it is a way he developed to respond to the dangers he encountered in his life, even before Hogwarts."
The three other girls nodded. Daphne noticed that even Katie had all her senses. l focused on Hermione now.
"When Harry was bitten, and Katie encouraged him not to take wolfsbane, allowing the pack bond to start forming, he embraced it. He had nothing to lose, and I think he was more than a little dazed by the sex…"
"Sorry, his scent is so good, and I always had a crush on him… to know that he could keep up… I swear I tried to keep it casual. For a time, I lied both to him and myself…" Katie confessed
"Then why did you told me you would stop if I asked?" Fleur said
"I really believed I could. I thought you were the perfect match for him… you smell of power and leadership, but I didn't knew how jealous and possessive you would be… sorry for saying that…" Katie said honestly.
"It's ok… I think…" Fleur answered.
"But I thought we could work around it. You were the perfect match for the alpha… still is, but then something changed…" Katie looked at Daphne. "When you came back from the Yule holiday, your scent had changed, your colors had changed, it was more powerful, almost like Fleur's, but different, it was when you two started colliding with each other. It was like you had a new resolve and had grown through that time."
"Something indeed happened. I discovered that I tried to be with Harry way before this year, but someone had used altering memory spells on me… more than once…" Daphne explained her situation, and the other girls looked horrified at her. "Someone didn't want me to get closer to Harry, and I think the same persons who always kept the Delacours away and Sirius in jail."
"That is terrible…" Fleur whispered.
"Yes, I felt like someone stole my life from me. Susan and I fought because of it, and Harry thought I hated him!" At this point, the ice queen mask was gone entirely, tears burning her eyes. "And I decided to take it back. Sorry, Fleur, I was so furious, and I wanted him so bad, I ignored everyone's feelings."
Silence took them again until Daphne said.
"But I don't regret it. And I don't regret last night, and I want him again!"
.oOo.
Hermione had to admire these girls. The courage they had for ripping their hearts open to one another, discovering their differences, and how much they had in common. This was working even better than she had thought.
The girl watched as Daphne and Fleur looked at each other, and she could almost see something changing. Fleur sighed. "I can understand that, and I would do the same. But that doesn't change my decision."
"It wouldn't change mine either…" Daphne gave her a tired smile.
"So, I guess you know, if he takes me, I am not going away, just like Katie," Fleur said.
"I never asked for you to leave… Harry needs a lady Potter anyway." Daphne shrugged. "so, Hermione, you were saying why it's important for Fleur to complete the bond…"
"right. So, after the veela bond is complete, both Harry AND Fleur will act as the center of the pack, amplifying its effects. Kinda like a hybrid bond." Hermione continued.
"But how would that affect us?" Katie asked.
"Well, first of all, I think we will come closer and will be able to support each other emotionally in better ways. Also, as Harry and Fleur are both powerful, I think we will all get a bust on our own magical prowess. We will not be like Harry, but practical magic will be easier. Also, we will be able to learn from each other quickly. Harry and Fleur will also receive that same augment, making both even more powerful."
"Of course, we are not talking about Dumbledore or Merlin levels here, at least not yet. Harry is young, we are young, and I think Harry's emotions hold him back…"
Hermione looked around. "Well, there are also rituals. We will be so in tune that every ritual we try will have better results than normal… that can ensure our growth and Harry's survival."
"So, where is the catch?" Katie asked.
.oOo.
Daphne watched as Hermione blushed. All the scholarly air left her. "Well, how does the veela bond get stronger and stable, Fleur?" She asked, although Daphne was sure the bushy-haired girl already knew the answer.
Fleur frowned. It seemed like she realized something. She looked right into Daphne's eyes and answered. "Intimate physical and emotional contact… love, and sex…"
"Again, this is all theoretical, but when I kissed both Harry and Fleur, I could feel it. did you feel something when you…" Hermione looked at Daphne with hopeful eyes. "When you and Harry…"
"Fucked, Hermione, they fucked…" Katie said in exasperation, the moon making her usual short temper even worse.
"Yes… I did." Daphne said, remembering the connection she was still experimenting with the boy she loved. "And I still do… So, we all would need to be intimate, even if Katie and myself have no interest in other witches?"
"Although I don't mind watching!" Katie said.
"No, just with Harry; his connection with Fleur would do the rest. If you wish to be with her as well, maybe it gets stronger, but it is just a theory…" Hermione finished.
Silence took over them again. Each girl was lost in their own contemplation. So much had been shared, and so much could happen. This could be huge. Daphne could see both Katie and Hermione's excitement and thought about her own.
Then, she saw Blaise quickly walking in her direction and noticed the sun was almost down, and they had been there for hours.
Noticing Blaise, Fleur got up. "I need to think, and I think we all need to. But my decision has been made. It is up to 'Arry to accept the bond with me or not. If he does… we see from there…"
"Fleur, just out of curiosity, how does he finalize the bond…" Katie asked.
The French blushed but smiled. That was something very intimate for the veela. "he must accept it willingly, and then we have to service each other… with the intent of bonding…"
"Ok, sounds fun…" Katie smiled.
Daphne rolled her eyes at the werewolf and hugged Hermione one last time. "I am not leaving him." she simply said in a neutral tone before leaving in the direction of the dark boy approaching. With a glance at his sharp eyes, Daphne knew something was wrong.
"Daphne, we need to do something… whatever Malfoy was planning, it is happening today, and it involves Potter and You know who…"
"Shit, today of all days, it seems almost on purpose. Did he spit out what it is his father is doing?"
"No…"
Daphne thought for a couple of seconds. "Come with me, let's find out, and Blaise, I guess now you have chosen a side after all." she gave him a grim, and Blaise sighed.

Narcisa walked, caressing her burning red cheek, where Lucius had just slapped her. The witch was sure she could feel the contours of his house ring on her face.
"Bastard, that will end today. I will leave and take my son with me!" The woman furiously thought, walking through the empty hallway. If the old man's plan worked, Lucius Malfoy would spend the first of many nights in Azkaban today. After that, the first thing she would do was owing or call Sirius, asking for him to dissolve her marriage, then start the long climb back to his trust. It would take time, but it was worth it.
Narcisa thought of James. Lately, she had been thinking about him a lot after seeing his son at the wizengamot. His and Lilly's. James had promised her. To marry her as a second wife and to save her from her parents. The woman didn't want the same destiny Bellatrix had but was not brave enough to follow Andromeda's path. All he needed was to convince Lilly.
Lilly Evans, or Lilly Potter, to be precise, everyone loved her, with her muggle morals and values. She refused to accept their world. Saint Lilly had condemned Narcisa to Lucius Malfoy.
Suddenly Narcisa heard a crashing sound from one of the rooms, like furniture being thrown to the walls. She ran down the corridor, worried about Bellatrix. She was still her sister, after all. Grabbing her wand, she opened the door. The witch just could not believe what she was seeing.
The room looked like a war zone, furniture broken and scattered everywhere, and the mattress was turned to the side, but nothing could compare to the sight of her sister. Bellatrix Lestrange was pinned with her face against the wall, her hands clenched in fists, with an expression of both anger and pleasure. Her dress was lifted above her waist, and Fenryr Greyback was forcefully pulling her hair with his enormous hands while pounding his rigid member mercilessly against her pussy. With each powerful thrust, the pale witch was pushed against the wall. Narcisa just stood there, stunned. She could not believe that her sister, the sick blood purist, had been fucked by a man who was no better than a beast.
Bellatrix opened her eyes and looked straight at Narcisa with a scary smile, full of yellow teeth. "Seem… something… you… aaaah… like… lil'sis…" The crazy witch said before the wolf pulled her hair even more forcefully,, making Bellatrix elbow him.
"Lu… Lucius said for you to… get ready."
"Right… Now GET LOST! AAAAAH… FUCKING ANIMAL, that's good!"
Narcisa closed the door, cursing her fate. But everything was about to change.

Pansy was a pile of nerves. She had executed the instructions given by her tutor to the finest details. Even Draco played his role well, bragging like an idiot to the other death eater spawn. Luckily he had always been so obnoxious that no one suspected he was actually following her orders. Even so, she was not sure it was going to work. It looked like Potter hadn't heard, or worse, didn't care about Draco anymore, and her tutor had been emphatic that this was the night everything had to occur.
Later, Pansy would curse herself for her carelessness. The girl was so worried that she became distracted. She had just met Ronald Weasley for a quick shag in a broom cupboard for some stress relief and was making her way to the dungeons when a spell hit her. The whole world became dark all of sudden.
Pansy woke with a jump. By another spell, she recognized the sensation of the enervate spell running through her body. The girl quickly realized she was sitting in a dark classroom. And she was stuck to the chair, unable to move. There were three people in the room with her. One was right in front of her, another a little behind, and the third one was guarding the door. The one in front of her was none less than the Ice Queen, in full persona.
"What the fuck, Greengrass! Are you crazy?" Pansy screamed.
"What and where is going to happen, Parkinson?" Daphne's voice was neutral and emotionless, making it all scarier. Behind her, Tracey Davis had her wand out, with the tip glowing.
"What are you talking about!" Pansy tried to lie.
Daphne quickly approached her, and Pansy readied herself for the slap in the face. But it never came. The girl's heart was pounding like crazy. "Don't… do this, Parkinson. It is insulting to both of us. I will ask again. What and where."
Pansy decided that this was not a game worth playing. It was better to simply change tactics.
"Why would I tell you that? There is nothing for me in this…"
"Well, you are right. There is nothing for you to gain." Daphne lightly waved her hand. Her expression never changed. "But there is a lot for you to lose."
Pansy scoffed. "Are you going to threaten me
with violence now, Greengrass, I know your father is a smuggler, but that is too low even for you."
"I totally agree. You see, I am not your red-haired gigolo." Daphne waved. Pansy swallowed. How did she know? "I could say I would go to your betrothed. But we both know you did something to him." Pansy narrowed her eyes, watching the dark-haired girl walking around her as if she had won. How did she know so much? "But, I doubt Malfoy Sr would like it. Not only did you do something to his heir, but you are also betraying their terms of the contract, with a blood traitor nonetheless… Tell me, how much does your family owe to the Malfoys again? How much are you worthed?"
Pansy clenched her teeth. "Damn bitch." Then she cleared her mind. "No, this can still work in my favor. I just need to word it right." Taking a deep breath, she glared at Daphne.
"Ok, you win. Lord Malfoy plans to steal something, and he plans to take it to the dark lord. Both he and Draco believe the dark lord will be back. Greengrass, Daphne…" Pansy was almost whispering now. "It's something that has to do with Potter."
"Where?" Daphne hissed.
"Department of mysteries, hall number sixteen…." Pansy spelled.
Hearing that, Blaise, who had been totally silent so far, got away from the door with a concerned expression.
"Daphne, I need to talk to Potter now! Mr . Weasley is working there today".
Daphne nodded to him. Pansy felt her body being free before Daphne looked at her again. "It's a shame, Parkinson; I really admire what you did to that monster. But we all have to choose our sides."
Pansy smiled. There's only one side that mattered. Hers.
