Mr. Ostcliffe opened the door and three people stood before him, all dressed in sleek, black combat-like clothing. A woman stood at the forefront wearing knee-high boots with four-inch thick heels.

"Where's Bo?" The woman asked as she stepped ahead of the rest of her entourage.

"And you are?" Mr. Ostcliffe asked.

"Kenzi." Then she marched in past Mr. Ostcliffe followed by her two Agents.

"Milady is in the Main Drawing Room. Allow me, please." Mr. Ostcliffe said as he shut the door behind them and then led the way down a couple of hallways to the first set of double doors. When he opened the doors, the guests were still there talking amongst themselves, but Kenzi could readily see Bo amongst them.

"Milady! A…Kenzi is here." Mr. Ostcliffe announced. Bo turned and smiled broadly. Kenzi knew not to extend her courtesies as she wasn't sure who was whom, but the two Agents behind her did which caused the guests in the room to look straight at Bo.

"Is she Royalty?" Bridgy asked.

"Is that her private security service?" Raggie added. Bo, however, bee-lined it straight for Kenzi.

"Kenzi! I'm so glad you're here!" Bo greeted as she extended her arms and they embraced.

"Glad to be here." Then Kenzi leaned forward and whispered, "They called you Milady. What am I to call you here?"

"Bo. And I'll explain about the rest later."

"Cool."

"Pardon? But are you Royalty?" Dori asked.

"Of a sort." Livia quickly replied.

"Of a sort? What's of a sort? How is Royalty of a sort? You're either Royalty or not." Dori challenged but she was quickly hushed by Javier.

"The amigos?" Kenzi asked.

"Back at Grimley with Mary and Maddy." Bo replied. Kenzi leaned in again.

"Why not you-know-where?" Kenzi whispered.

"Lauren's order." Bo replied.

"Say no more." Kenzi replied.

"The famous Ms. Malikov." Gareton greeted as he came up to them.

"Dr. Beattie." Kenzi answered.

"So now I understand. Everything." Gareton said. Kenzi smiled.

"Glad to hear, but my next concern is Dr. Lavoie." Kenzi said as she scanned the room. "Where is he?"

"Vespy? Why are you looking for him? Need him for something?" Gareton asked.

"Need to ask him a couple questions. That's all." Kenzi replied.

"Why he should be…" Gareton started as he scanned the room. "Hm. He and Margot should be around here somewhere. Mr. Ostcliffe, see if you can find Vespy and Margot."

"Yes sir." Mr. Ostcliffe replied. Kenzi glanced back at the two Agents behind her.

"Go with him." Kenzi directed. They both nodded and followed Mr. Ostcliffe out of the room. Gareton narrowed his eyes.

"What's going on here, Ms. Malikov?" Gareton asked. But Kenzi was saved from responding when Trick walked up with Eva and greeted her with a nod and lovingly grasped her arm. She returned the gesture with a rub on his shoulders.

"Glad you're here." Trick said to Kenzi who smiled.

"Glad to be here." Kenzi replied then returned her attention to Bo.

"We should talk but with not as many ears around." Kenzi said.

"Yeah, let's go out onto the balcony." Bo replied. Gareton was about to follow when Eva stopped him.

"Where's Livia?" Eva asked.

"Speaking with the authorities." Gareton replied.

"She should join us when she's finished. In the interim, it might be wise to keep guests less curious." Eva softly directed.

"Yes, you're quite right." Gareton replied and then turned and rejoined his ever-more curious guests who all quickly huddled around him.

Bo, Kenzi, Trick and Eva found a corner out on the long balcony and huddled, and Bo brought Kenzi up to speed about the Beatties learning about the Fae, and their confrontation with Dr. Lavoie just prior to Lauren's arrest.

"It was ballsy for him to show up. Double-ballsy for him to say what he said." Kenzi replied when Bo finished.

"No doubt." Bo replied.

"So, what's our play here?" Kenzi asked.

"With regard to Dr. Lavoie we've got to contain him somehow and quickly before he contacts his allies, and have the Fae completely take over both Zandri and the Plato Foundation, and destroying the lives of Lauren's parents in the process." Bo replied.

"That could trigger a war. Doesn't he realize that?" Kenzi said.

"I don't think he really cares, especially now that the Human Plane is now under Presidium rule. We have to stop him." Then Bo looked directly at Trick. "I need to find my mother."

"Aoife? Is that wise?" Trick questioned.

"She one of the last Fae alive who knows about the origins of this so-called grand conspiracy against The Queen, and now it involves Lauren's parents, and threatens war." Bo replied.

"She's still in hot water with Her Majesty, remember? You find her and you just might be condemning her to death." Trick reminded.

"We need answers, so we can figure out who is at the heart of all this." Bo replied.

"Okay. So, what about Lauren?" Kenzi asked.

"We need to let it play out." Bo replied.

"Huh?" Kenzi let out not quite sure what she had heard.

"Lauren and I thought out all they ways it could play out, but they were all crazy." Bo replied.

"Yeah, but we do crazy well." Kenzi said.

"Ain't that the truth." Trick replied.

"In the end, Lauren felt she needed to stop running. Face the music." Bo said.

"Welp! Doesn't mean we can't help." Kenzi replied.

"I agree. That's why I called for Dyson and Tamsin too, and Tamsin is calling The Glaive." Bo replied.

"Does Their Majesties know what's happening?" Kenzi asked.

"Yes." Bo replied.

"Bet they're not pleased." Kenzi commented.

"No, but they understand this has to be dealt with." Bo replied.

"Why aren't we allowing the Presidium to intervene directly?" Eva asked. Bo took in a deep breath and exhaled.

"I asked the same thing to Lauren myself." Bo replied.

"And?" Eva prompted.

"Lauren wants to be judged." Bo said. The punch of that statement silenced everyone for a few long moments.

"From what I understand, it wasn't her fault." Eva replied.

"But she feels it was her responsibility and instead of taking responsibility at the time she ran. Now she feels she must stand and face the consequences, no matter the outcome." Bo said.

"They're going to throw her in jail." Kenzi replied.

"That's what I'm afraid of." Bo said.

"She's the presumptive Companion in Rule. They are not going to throw the presumptive Companion in Rule in jail." Eva stated.

"That's at the Presidium." Kenzi clarified. "Here on the Human Plane, she's considered just a good-ole, runaway terrorist." Then Kenzi shifted tone and looked at Bo. "How are you holding up?"

"As well as can be expected." Bo replied.

Just then Gareton and Livia came out onto the Balcony, and right behind them were Dyson and Tamsin. Bo ran up to Dyson and Tamsin and hugged them both.

"Boy! You guys got here fast!" Bo said.

"You rang. We came." Tamsin replied. Dyson and Tamsin then exchanged greetings with Kenzi, Trick, and Eva.

"The band is back together." Kenzi commented.

"Any word on Lauren?" Bo asked Livia.

"She's fine for now. I spoke with the District Prosecutor. They're keeping her until her hearing first thing in the morning when we will learn the formal charges." Livia replied.

"No such thing as bail, huh?" Kenzi quipped.

"No special considerations until morning. In the meantime, our lawyers are there with her. I also asked my Chief of Staff, Dr. Bromley to go over there. Help keep an eye on things. She has a background with Interpol." Livia replied.

"We also have The Glaive heading there as well." Tamsin informed.

"The Glaive?" Gareton queried.

"The Glaive is the one who makes and defends Fae law." Trick replied.

"This is a Human Court. How is a Fae trained in Fae law supposed to help?" Gareton asked.

"He's known to the Human world as Justice Lars Saunderson of the Chambers Section at the International Criminal Court. His very job is to ensure fair trials." Trick replied.

"I see." Gareton said.

"And the Police reported there are a number of guards posted around the station. It's disconcerting to the Police having that many guards posted outside. They asked if we could pull them back, but I told them it was her private security, and they were not going to leave her."

"Damn right!" Bo said firmly.

"Well, apparently the number of guards is making a bit of fuss. Especially, Cibor who seems to have posted himself inside right at the entrance to the holding cells. They know he's private security but it's not appropriate. He won't move. The only reason why they haven't arrested him is because he's not being belligerent and because she's my daughter."

"And because he's nearly seven feet tall and 400 pounds." Kenzi replied.

"I'll see to it." Tamsin replied.

"Thank you." Livia said to Tamsin who smiled and was about to leave when Mr. Ostcliffe appeared and behind him was His Serene Highness Jock Prescotti.

"Sir, Madam! A Jock Prescotti." Mr. Ostcliffe announced and then turned and left. This time everyone extended their courtesies to the surprise of Gareton and Livia, except Bo who walked up to Jock.

"Jock! What are you doing here?" Bo asked.

"Who are you?" Gareton asked.

"I am Jock Prescotti, son of Their Majesties, and a member of the Pillar of Law for the Presidium. When Their Majesties learned that Dr. Lewis was again in peril they decided to dispatch assistance."

"Again?" Gareton and Livia said in unison.

"Yes. In the hopes of pre-empting any bloodshed." Jock said matter of factly. Gareton and Livia's yes went wide.

"What do you mean by bloodshed? Has this happened before?" Livia asked, but Bo jumped in.

"Let's not go into all that right now." Bo replied.

"I agree. Not right now, but we will and in short order." Livia said firmly. "I'm going to dismiss our guests and when I return, I want real answers!"

"I'll go with you." Gareton said. But before they could leave, Mr. Ostcliffe came back out onto the balcony.

"Sir, Madam. Both the Footmen and the Agents swept the house. Dr. and Mrs. Lavoie are nowhere to be found. They also checked for their vehicle and that too is gone." Mr. Ostcliffe reported then turned and left.

"Why would they leave without saying something?" Livia asked as she looked to Gareton. Kenzi, however, quickly went into Agent mode and brought her hand up next to her ear.

"Gunnar!" Kenzi called.

"I'm here." Gunnar replied in her ear.

"We've got ourselves a runner!" Kenzi announced.

"Dr. Lavoie?" Gunnar asked.

"Yep!" Kenzi confirmed.

"We'll start with Zandri Labs." Gunnar said. "Meet you there?"

"Will do." Kenzi said then touched her ear again then looked at Bo. "Gotta go."

"Let me know what happens." Bo replied.

"I will." Kenzi replied, then turned, jumped over the balcony followed by her two Agents. In shock, Gareton and Livia ran straight to the balcony edge and watched as Kenzi and her two Agents disappeared into the woodline and into the night.

"What? How? How did they do that?" Livia asked as they turned to face Bo, but something caught their eyes, which made Bo and the rest follow their gaze. It was their guests gawking at them all. Bo shoulders dropped in exasperation. Bridgy stepped out onto the balcony.

"Livia! Gareton! Qu'est-ce qui se passe?" Bridgy asked confused.

"This evening just keeps on giving." Bo muttered to herself.
