Bo, Lauren and the children pulled up to the entrance of the Presidium Great Banquet Hall in the Beast and the Presidium greeted her with a combination of thunderous applause, joyous laughter and shaking heads. Bo knew the Presidium did not care for the Beast belting carbon monoxides in the air, but they also understood how important the car was to her - a tie back to her home, the Human Plane. Both Maddy and The Seneschal awaited their arrival at the bottom of the long stairs and helped their children out of the Beast and up the stairs leading to the double doors where the Ruling Family and dignitaries awaited them inside. Bo had changed out of her Installation Ceremony regalia and into a cream pantsuit with a duster-style coat that went to her knees. To Bo's surprise, Primus Mira Levassuer of the Intelligence Pillar greeted them at the top of the stairs.

"Primus?" Bo greeted.

"Congratulations, Your Royal Highness on your Installation!" Primus Levasseur returned.

"Thank you!" Bo replied.

"Are those mini…chairs in the back seat?" Primus Levasseur asked.

"Car seats. We just outfitted new ones for their second birthdays." Bo replied then returned her attention to the Primus. "I don't mean to sound rude but is there something wrong?"

"I would like a word after you make your entrance." Primus Levasseur replied.

"Can it wait? I have a list of meeting requests from here to eternity." Bo informed.

"I would imagine on this day of days. But it cannot wait beyond this evening. I will find you and then we can discuss." Primus Levasseur replied.

"Can I least know what it's about?" Bo asked. Primus glanced over to Lauren who attention was occupied with the children.

"I do not wish for your mind to be pre-occupied. We can discuss it later in the evening." Primus Levasseur smiled then turned and quickly disappeared into the crowds.

"What was that about?" Lauren asked as she came up with the children.

"Another meeting request." Bo replied then took Lauren's hand and squeezed it tightly. "Let's get inside and do this."

When they entered the foyer of the Great Banquet Hall, they were immediately met by The Ruling Family, Regent Saladin, Rana McCorrigan and Taioseach Sandalli.

Protocol dictated Bo lead the processional inside the Great Banquet Hall, followed by The Ruling Family, The Tetrarch, The Regency, The Grand Strategum, The Taioseach, flanked by representation from the Combined Armies, the Regnant Guard, and the Knights of the Guard. Traditionally, Lauren and the children were supposed to be already inside the Great Banquet Hall awaiting Bo's arrival, but the Ruling Couple wanted to make a further statement they supported Bo's family and ensured Lauren and their children were included in the processional.

As they awaited the announcement of their entrance The Regnant turned to Trick.

"Rana McCorrigan." The Regnant prompted.

"Your Majesty?" Trick prompted.

"This day is just as special for you as it is for Bo. Please." The Regnant motioned Trick to the front of her.

"Your Majesty, you do me great honor." Trick replied. Then Ethan toddled over to Trick with both arms up, but Trick said "Later, and then we can play", so Ethan settled for holding his hand as Trick stepped in front of Their Majesties but behind Bo and Lauren.

"Do you mind if we escort one of them in?" The Regnant asked Bo and Lauren.

"Please!" Bo and Lauren replied in a chorus.

"May we have your hand, little lady?" The Regnant asked Char who looked between them, smiled, and took both The Regnant's and The Queen Consort's extended hands.

When the doors opened to welcome the Processional Party, the applause started, and when Bo stepped out first with Mary-Aoife in hand, there were murmurs of surprise followed by louder applause and then more cheers as Lauren followed with Ryan, and then Trick with Ethan, and finally The Regnant and Queen Consort with Char in between them. They were followed by the Ruling Children, The Regency, The Grand Strategum, and The Taioseach all while flanked by representation from the Combined Armies, the Regnant Guard, and the Knights of the Guard.

They arrived at Bo and Lauren's table to find 150 guests standing at the table awaiting their arrival to include Kenzi, Dyson, Tamsin, Crystal and Mirabel. Bruce and his three brothers along with Janet and Zachery from the Dal. Julia Jenkins, Lise Chauncey and Connor Bridgeford, all Humans from JJI. Sylvie, Logan and BJ Lucarrelli were also there. Savina Yordanka, Beatrice Skally, Ryan Lambert, Liam Kavanaugh and Vex. The Lead staff from the JFM were also present to include Drs. Danna, Padameshi, Gardholt were there along with Nurse Jobina and her husband Wilford. However, Dr. Lina Rosati, deputy of the JFM stayed behind at the County to keep an eye on the place. Erik Lykke was present but Reed and Clio stayed behind to hold down the fort. The most notable guest at the table was Stella Nashira who guided Bo through her Dawning. "She thought you would be dead by now." Trick said as he laughed after he informed Bo of the extended invitation. Bo recalled Stella thought her so bull-headed during her Dawning preparations that she found Trick's comment to be unsurprising.

The Regnant and Queen Consort handed Char off to the Seneschal who were waiting to seat the children, greeted everyone at Bo's table with a nod and smile then turned to head to their table.

"Your Majesties? You're not sitting with us?" Bo asked.

"This is your day to spend it with your family and friends." The Queen Consort replied.

"I, however, would gladly listen to Char describing the ceiling tiles over listening to the Argestella Delegation and their infernal whining about how the package agreements never seem to favor their region." The Regnant complained. They all chuckled.

"Dear, we are in public." The Queen Consort softly admonished.

"This is why I'm married to Helen. She helps me keep my feet out of the muck." The Regnant replied. Everyone smiled. Then the Regnant turned to the crowd.

"Everyone! Please take your seats and enjoy your evening!" The Regnant announced. The crowd exchanged curious looks and murmurs. "Please!" The Regnant assured and the crowd took their seats with the sole exception of Bo's table and the surrounding tables who still seem to feel it was not appropriate to sit yet. The Regnant assured the surrounding tables and they all took their seats, except Bo's table which remained standing. The Regnant turned to them. "That means you all as well." Everyone at Bo's table promptly took their seats. Then Bearnard and Chione both approached and extended their courtesies.

"Your Majesties! Your Royal Highness!" Bearnard greeted.

"You are the best brother-in-law ever!" The Queen replied as she acknowledged their courtesies.

"Don't encourage him, my love." Helen replied. Bearnard and Chione righted themselves and greeted the Ruling Couple with hugs and kisses.

"I knew you all wanted to be rescued from all that pomp and ceremony." Bearnard said after the embraces were concluded.

"Thank you for the rescue!" Bo replied.

"They would have kept on for another hour, and make no mistake, Your Royal Highness, the Sanctuary will have me pay penance for interfering, but you're a rogue, just like me, so I knew you wouldn't mind." Bo broadly smiled. Bearnard went over to Lauren, took her hand and kissed it to a mixture of approvals and murmurs from the nearby guests.

"Milady." Bearnard greeted. Lauren blushed and nearly teared up at the gesture.

"Your Grand Serene Highness. You do me high honor." Lauren returned.

"Of course, I do!" Then Bearnard turned and bellowed "And I want everyone to know it!" Then Bearnard bent down and waved at the children who all smiled in return.

"Dr. Lewis! How are you holding up today?" Chione greeted.

"It's a lot of activity in a day, Your Grand Serene Highness." Lauren replied.

"And it's not even half over." Chione said.

"Your Grand Serene Highness, I was wondering. Could speak later on about a Missions idea I put forward before the CHP?" Lauren asked.

"Oh?" Chione prompted.

"As you may know, I have to conduct 11 Missions as a result of my court hearing." Lauren replied. "Depending on the need of the area, I can tailor the missions accordingly, so to help pave the way for the transition, I want to partner my first mission with the CHP."

"It would be my pleasure!" Chione said. "Where's your first mission?"

"Switzerland. That's a small country in the European geographic region on the Human Plane." Lauren replied.

"Well, I look forward to seeing this Switzerland." Chione said.

"Your Grand Serene Highness, I meant…" Lauren began to explain.

"I know you meant for me to only consult, but it would be my pleasure to join you on your first mission. Besides, how could I miss an opportunity to visit the Human Plane." Chione replied.

"Your Grand Serene Highness, you do me high honor." Lauren replied.

"You saved my sister's life. There is no greater gratitude I could give." Chione replied.

"I hope that invitation is extended to me as well?" Chancellor Vastras asked as she approached.

"Chancellor!" Lauren greeted.

"I am just as curious. Besides, I want to get a good look at the JFM." Chancellor Vasteras added. Lauren looked down the long table for Dr. Danna who nodded enthusiastically.

"We all look forward to it, Chancellor." Dr. Danna chimed in.

"This would also include your Grimley Clinic as well?" Chancellor Vasteras asked.

"That is still very much in its infancy." Lauren replied.

"But a clinic you hope to expand one day?" Chancellor Vasteras asked.

"Very much so." Lauren replied.

"Good." Chancellor Vasteras replied.

"I am beyond words, Chancellor." Lauren said. Chancellor Vasteras nodded and walked off.

Then the nearby guests reacted with surprised murmurs when some of the Ruling Children took their places at Bo and Lauren's table. Antony went and sat in an empty seat next to Kenzi; Maxima next to Vex; Ariella next to Bruce; and to everyone's amazement Emilia next to Dr. Louis Padameshi.

"What's this?" Ari asked when she saw Emilia move to sit next to Louis.

"Dr. Padameshi asked if Emilia would join him at the Banquet." Helen replied in a low voice.

"Keen on her, eh?" Bearnard added.

"Who allowed that?" Ari blurted almost too loudly.

"It was her decision." Helen gently chastised. Ari harrumphed.

"Bad enough with Maxima and Vex." Ari complained, but not loud enough for said parties to hear.

"Ari." Helen gently chastised again. Then Bearnard went up to his sister and offered her his arm.

"Shall we?" Bearnard prompted. Helen took her brother's arm and leaned in.

"Let's." Helen replied and then Bearnard led her off to their table where their families awaited. Both Bo's and the nearby tables stood up and bowed as they went.

"And that's my cue to leave it be." Ari said to Bo and Lauren as she watched Bearnard and Helen walk away.

"Yes. It is." Chione replied as she wrapped her arm around her sister's.

"Enjoy your time with your family and friends." Ari finished and then she and Chione followed Bearnard and Helen. Elena came quickly up behind her parents and greeted Bo with a quick bow of her head then mouthed to Lauren "Stay strong." Lauren returned it with a broad smile.

Bo was seated at the head of the table and Lauren to her left. Lauren had little Ryan next to her and Ryan Lambert was seated on the other side of his godson. Kenzi and Antony were seated next to Ryan with Char between them. Bo had MaryAoife seated to her right then Dyson on the opposite side of MaryAoife and Tamsin next to Dyson. Trick was seated on the far other end of 150-seat table due to his rank with Ethan seated to his left and Eva seated on the other side of Ethan. Viceroy Veillard and his wife Marta sat on his right, and Beverly, Trick long-time Assistant sat on Marta's right.

"The band is getting back together I see." Kenzi said as she pointed out Evony and her immediate family were seated with the Ruling Couple while their food was being dished out. Stasio and his wife headed the Official Renaştere Delegation Table with the Elder Fae, their significant others, key Fae and Human leaders and their staffs. Stasio's wife served as the hostess of the 200-seat table and looked none prouder.

"Europa is in her element." Dyson said. "She will talk about this for ages."

"Anything to stop hearing her whine about not being part of the Real House Spouses of the Presidium." Tamsin added. Everyone chuckled.

"That's quite the ensemble coming together for your first mission." Bo said to Lauren who looked to Maxima further down the table and asked, "Is that your doing?"

"That is all you. Besides, she sees what you see. That so many partnerships can be had from such collaboration. After all, collaboration is the very essence of the CHP." Maxima replied.

"We've needed the CHP for so very long on our Plane." Vex added.

"And we intend on being there." Maxima replied with a smile and then gripped his hand.

"I think Vex might be in love." Tamsin whispered. Everyone nearby smiled.

Bo saw Atticus and Mank seated further along down the table.

"Atticus! Mank! It is so good to see you again! How are you two settling in?" Atticus looked at her with new eyes which blinked vertically. It warmed Bo's heart Atticus could see again.

"Doing well, Your Royal Highness. We travel back and forth between here and the Human Plane, working with the DRM to settle those Under Fae who wish to move here." Atticus replied.

"I've been reading the updates." Bo informed.

"Yet we are still concerned we have not received any word about Brazenwood." Atticus replied.

"I am working on it." Tamsin answered quickly as she worked her plate.

"I realize that Your Excellency, but for them to disappear into thin air like that. Some untoward hand must be at work." Atticus replied.

"We won't stop until we find them, Atticus. Brazenwood is special for me too." Bo replied.

"I know." Atticus added. Then Dyson chimed in to divert the conversation.

"Mank!" Dyson called out. "How are you enjoying the Presidium?"

"Can't get enough of Fussio's." Mank replied.

"Fussio's?" Bruce prompted.

"It's a restaurant Jock took me shortly after Tamsin and I arrived for the Installation Ceremony." Dyson replied.

"Chef Arif is the best!" Mank replied as he dug into his food.

"What kind of restaurant is it?" Bo asked.

"A hunting one. Set on at least 20 miles of land where one can hunt their dinner and consume it fresh. Chef Arif brings in selections from around the Realm. The main part of the restaurant would remind you of a ski chalet where patrons can observe the hunting from the outside balcony. Of course, reservations are required so Chef Arif knows for whom to prepare for. It has become one of my favorite new places." Dyson replied.

"Sounds right up your alley." Bo said.

"Bo! I mean... Your Royal Highness." Savina stumbled.

"Can we all just call me Bo here?" Bo insisted.

"Bo! Do you realize, really realize, this is all going to be yours one day." Savina said as she looked around in awe.

"Yes." Bo replied with a smile.

"I live here and still cannot believe it." Beatrice Skally added.

"I mean really?" Savina asked again. Bo laughed.

"Yes. But I share your awe and yet try not to think about it." Bo replied then pointed further down the table to Willa and Landon. "Without those two, I would not be able to find the door." Willa and Landon smiled.

"Me neither." Lauren added as she pointed to her Assistant Lyra Harte who sat next to Lauren's Assistant from the JFM Anissa Knut.

"Do you and Dr. Lewis miss the County?" Lise asked.

"I don't know if 'miss' is the right word so much as Lauren and I are slammed beyond reason to even think about missing it." Bo replied.

"Trust me. She misses it." Lauren added.

"But the Clubhouse is always there for us to visit anytime." Bo replied.

"The Clubhouse? That place is still standing?" Stella asked in a scandalized voice.,

"And in active use." Kenzi replied.

"You're kidding, right?" Stella asked. "You are the next Queen of the Fae Realm, and you're still staying at the Clubhouse?"

"We tried to tell her it was above her station now to continue to reside there." Elder Evelyn Batthews piped in. One of the few Elders seated at the table.

"The Clubhouse will always be home." Bo replied.

"Glad you still refer to the County as home." Lise chimed in. "Because let's just say it. This is all so crazy and surreal and we miss you guys. At home."

"Now there's a toast!" Tamsin raised her glass, and everyone followed suit, and all took a drink.

"So! Sylvie and Logan…" Bo began after she set down her drink. Lauren and I wanted to ask something of you."

"What's that?" Sylvie prompted.

"Since we've been named BJ's Godparents, we were wondering if it would be okay with you for him to stay here with us at the Presidium on a routine basis." Bo said. BJ piqued up at the suggestion.

"Yes! Please Mommy! Daddy!" BJ pleaded.

"Of course! We would love that." Sylvie replied. "What were you thinking? Like summers?"

"Or part of his school year. Whatever works best. He could continue his studies here and could shadow both me and Lauren in the process. Back home, he could do the same thing, shadowing Dyson and Tamsin, and in some cases, Evony and Stasio as part of his Internship with the Renaştere Delegation." Bo said.

"Internship? What Internship?" Logan queried.

"The one Evony created for him and a number of others, both Human and Fae from each Ducalship for sure within the Delegation, and they will all work here at the Presidium as official representatives of the Renaştere Delegation."

"Which Ducalship will I represent?" BJ asked.

"Mine. North America and subsequently the County." Bo replied.

"I don't know what to say." Sylvie said.

"Say yes!" BJ prompted which made everyone chuckle.

"Yes!" Sylvie and Logan replied in unison.

"Speaking of the Human Plane, a Paramount Ducal for the Renaştere Delegation needs to be designated." Trick said.

"Well, it can't be any of the Elders. Don't trust them as far as I can throw this plane." Tamsin replied to various smirks.

"No offense taken down this way at all, County Regent." Elder Batthews reminding Tamsin there was an Elder seated at the table.

"It won't be any of them." Trick said. "However, as part of the reorganization, the Ducalships will be based on geographic region rather than families as before. Same as here."

"I bet that went over like a rock." Ryan commented.

"In a few cases yes, but priority goes to those Elders who helped us defend our petition. Like Iyas who helped us defend our petition.

"Iyas?" Reed queried.

"Iyas." Trick reiterated.

"I bet Stasio liked that one." Vex commented.

"He did not, but he knew it was about Fae politics." Dyson informed.

"And a couple of the current Elders will become Grand Ducals like Yoshie Sasake." Trick added.

"No surprise there." Tamsin noted.

"And there will be Grand Ducals designated to represent not only Fae, but the Under Fae and Humans."

"A Human will become a Grand Ducal?"

"Yes. It wasn't any different from the five Human families that served the Light Fae."

"Well, this all sounds very democratic."

"We also wanted to honor the Santiago family by naming a Ducalship after them, but because of that whole business with Eulises it was untenable. But don't worry. We will find a way to honor Hale without disrespecting the Queen regarding his grandfather's ties to the conspiracy to murder the Queen." Trick said as he looked to little Ryan. "Beyond the obvious," which caused Kenzi to smile and rub Little Ryan's head.

"What names are being considered for Paramount Ducal?" Stella asked.

"It is between Meyer and Atticus." Atticus's head went up.

"Meyer?" Atticus questioned.

"You don't think he is a good choice?" Bo asked. "He is a prominent leader amongst the former Dark Fae."

"He is, but…" Atticus started.

"But what?" Bo challenged.

"Me before him." Atticus replied.

"A third option came up as well in efforts to allay any politics until we settle in." Trick said.

"Oh?" Lauren queried

"Kenzi's." It was Kenzi's turn to have her head pop up while the guests looked between her and Trick."

"Her title wouldn't be 'Paramount Ducal' but that of 'Envoy'. To serve as the term is defined: As a messenger or intermediary. Except she would be performing that role between the Presidium and the Renaştere Delegation." Trick explained.

"I think you mispronounced Hale Santiago." Kenzi said without missing a beat in eating her food. Everyone understood what she meant.

"Hale would have been the perfect choice." Trick replied. "But I cannot think of anyone better who could honor him in that capacity than you."

"You do realize, during times of emergency, your word would be that over Evony's?" Antony chimed in. Kenzi looked at him then at Trick then scanned the table until her eyes rested on Bo who offered her soft smile. Kenzi put down her silverware.

"I'm just getting used to being an Agent, and now you want me to take on a job that supercedes Evony's authority as a Grand Ducal? Say what we will about her, but at least she knows how to run a plane of existence!" Kenzi replied.

"Evony is the one who recommended you." Trick replied. Everyone looked in shock between Trick and Kenzi turned to look at Evony, seated at the Queen's table, talking in an animated fashion then back at the group at her table.

"This has got to be some of joke! Kenzi asserted. "Or a set up!"

"I agree with Evony." Trick replied. Kenzi looked at him in shock "Kenzi, you are not only Bo's heart, but ours as well. If we were to ever find ourselves in peril, we know you will rise to protect all of us. As you have done so many times before, and even have paid the ultimate price."

"So let me get this straight, we wouldn't have a Paramount Ducal but an Envoy instead?" Vex asked.

"It's good politics for now. It allows for cohesion without favoritism. And His Excellency is correct; no matter what anyone can say about it, Kenzi has demonstrated how far she is willing to go to protect all of us. Fae and Humans both." Elder Batthews commented to everyone's shock, and she took notice. "What? I recognize truth when I see it. Besides, we cannot rely on Dr. Lewis to do everything." There were a combination of smiles and chuckles for they knew what she meant. In the past, anytime the Fae were in peril, and had to go into hiding everyone looked to Dr. Lewis as the de-facto leader of the Fae, both Dark and Light.

"I think the appointment is a brilliant one and I think I can speak for the group when I say 'so say we all.'" Atticus added to nods of agreement. Tears formed in Kenzi's eyes.

"So do you accept?" Trick asked. Kenzi surveyed the table then her eyes rested on Antony who returned a hopeful look. Then she looked back at Trick.

"Yes." Kenzi replied. Everyone at the table applauded which caused other tables to turn and look out of curiosity. Trick stood up and raised his glass.

"To Kenzi! Envoy of the Renaştere Delegation!" Trick declared. Everyone stood up at the table, raised their glass and toasted Kenzi. They all sat back down and as they did so Kenzi looked over to Evony who raised her glass in her direction and drank. Kenzi faced her table and suddenly realized she didn't know if she should be happy or terrified.

Later, in the middle of dinner, Traust Maestas approached the table, quickly bowed to Bo and then bent down next to her.

"Your Royal Highness, we need to talk." Traust said in a low voice but with intent.

"Now?" Bo challenged.

"Now." Traust urged. "Meet me in the Knights Drawing Room."

"Where the heck is that?" Bo asked.

"Bas Kadine will show you the way." Traust said then stood up and quickly bowed and left.

"Well, I guess that's my cue to follow then." Bo said as she stood up and the table was about to follow suit when she held up her hand.

"What's going on?" Lauren asked.

"Not sure." Bo replied and then excused herself from the table.

Unbeknownst to Bo she and Traust they were being observed. And followed.

"Your Royal Highness! Traust greeted with a bow. Bo was surprised to find Primus Levasseur was also there. They both quickly bowed.

"Please." Bo said as she gestured for them to right themselves.

"Your Royal Highness, Primus Levasseur is here at my invitation." Traust explained.

"Is what Traust wants to talk about the same issue you want to talk about?" Bo asked.

"Somewhat." Primus Levasseur replied.

"Okay then. So, what's going on?" Bo prompted.

"The LauDessar Dynasty is moving towards Divestment." Traust replied.

"Well, we know both the Brinari and Assions Delegations are…" Bo started but Traust interrupted her.

"No. Your Royal Highness. The entire Dynasty." Traust replied.

"What?" Bo asked surprised. "Rana Chavalier too?"

"Yes." Traust confirmed.

"How is this not known?" Bo asked.

"It has been, Your Royal Highness. Indirectly so to speak." Primus Levasseur replied.

"That's not all. The Forres Delegation is also moving to throw their support behind the LauDessar Dynasty." Traust said.

"That's the Tulach Dynasty. The Queen Consort's Dynasty." Bo replied.

"And word has it they have the Sintaki Delegation onboard and are pursuing the Brassington Delegation." Traust said.

"Is the Queen Consort aware?" Bo asked.

"I don't know, but there's more." Traust said. "The Aonghus Delegation is also supportive."

"That's Trick Dynasty, but's that not surprising. Some have been talking about Divestment since for a while." Bo replied.

"Except that they have the support of the Drustain Delegation which means…" Traust said.

"They've thrown in as well." Bo replied.

"There's more." Traust said.

"Okay." Bo asked.

"Word is so too has the Renaştere Delegation." Traust said.

"We just got here!" Bo blurted incredulous.

"Nevertheless, there it is." Traust said.

"I don't know why anyone would think Evony would have something to do with anything that contradicts Ari." Bo replied.

"It's not Her Grand Serene Highness they are referring to." Traust said.

"Who then?" Bo prompted.

"Her Viceroy Primus. Stasio Alesandese." Traust replied. Bo's mouth dropped open.

"How?" Bo asked incredulous.

"Apparently, Viceroy Alesandese was approached during the Convocation Banquet on Ebon about it. By Grand Ducal Darius Vale of the Aonghus Delegation, Grand Ducal Victor Savva of the Forres Delegation, and…" then Traust looked to Primus Levasseur, "Lysander Brixius, Deputy Primus for the Pillar of Intelligence." Bo looked to Primus Levasseur, but Traust continued.

"The conversation allegedly went that if there were Fae support to support Inclusion there would be, in turn, support from the eventual Renaştere Delegation for Divestment. But again, these are only whispers." Traust cautioned.

"Yes, but what you consider whispers have later proven to be fact." Primus Levasseur reminded. Traust bent his head slightly in acknowledgement.

"Why was Brixius there? Shouldn't he remain neutral?" Bo asked Primus Levasseur.

"Lysander, Darius and Victor are all long-standing colleagues and friends so his presence during this conversation is one thing. But you are quite right, Your Royal Highness. Advocation is quite another, and it that piece we hope to investigate."

"Is this the first time you're hearing about this?" Bo asked Primus Levasseur.

"About his political leanings? Or his presence during that conversation?" Primus Levasseur countered.

"Both." Bo replied. Primus Levasseur see-sawed her head a bit. Bo shoulders slumped.

"Who's your source?" Bo asked Traust.

"I would rather not reveal my source at this time, Your Royal Highness." Traust replied.

"The Peries of Ebon." Primus Levasseur replied to Traust's shock.

"How did you know that?" Traust replied.

"I asked them to keep their ears open" Primus Levasseur replied. "How have you been in touch with them?"

"I too have sources, otherwise I would have made a poor Envoy back in the day." Traust replied. Bo exhaled.

"Why are you telling me this instead of to The Queen? Or at least to Saladin?" Bo asked. Traust looked again to Primus LeVasseur.

"Because such machinations require coordination." Primus Levassuer said. "And that is what I need to find out. If my Deputy approached Viceroy Primus Alesandese on the Divestment question, there may be a deeper problem."

"That's not all." Traust added.

"What else is there?" Bo asked Traust but it was Primus Levassuer who answered to Traust's shock.

"There's a tie-in with the Viofynne Conglomerate, Rein Marquis, and The Plato Foundation."

"How did you know that as well?" Traust asked Primus Levassuer then realized he answered his own question.

"Yes, how?" Bo added. Bo had already known about that connection after they had broken into Zandri Labs, but she wanted to know how Primus Levasseur and Traust made the connection.

"During the Convocation Banquet on Ebon Plane, Rein Marquis asked for the Queen's intercedence between him and Primus Cocher regarding some research they were conducting before the Council of Healers. Primus Cocher asked me to help him…manage the politics because after all, this is the Grand Ducal's brother we are talking about." Traust replied.

"Go on." Bo prompted.

"I had dinner with a Viofynne Conglomerate representative which turned into a night of drinking and revelry and in course, we learned a name. Caiden Vescovi." Traust continued. Bo nodded. Bo said nothing, but was thankful for the name. A name she would later pass onto Kenzi and Julia Jenkins to look into further. "So, what's the plan?" Traust finished.

"So, what do we do next?" Traust asked.

"Inform the Queen." Primus Levasseur replied.

"Not yet. And most certainly, not tonight." Bo said. Both Primus Levasseur and Traust looked at Bo. "The question about Divestment vs. Supremacy is well known. What is not known is the Queen's position. Until that is known, movement on the issue is going to continue to occur. Until then we need to know more, especially where this Caiden leads." Bo replied.

"We have to tell The Queen something." Primus Levasseur said.

"Leave that to me." Bo replied. "In the interim, I need you both to head home…I mean to my home, the Human Plane, and chase this Caiden down yourselves. Once you have more definitive information then we can tell The Queen."

"Yes, Your Royal Highness." Both Primus Levasseur and Traust replied.

"And you will not be alone." Bo looked to them both. "Thanks for the information." Traust and Primus Levasseur bowed and left the room leaving Bo's head swirling.

Bo returned to the table, smiling at everyone the whole while then went up to Kenzi and whispered into her ear. Kenzi looked at Bo, nodded quickly, and then returned her focus to her meal. Bo returned to her seat.

"What's going on?" Lauren asked.

"Later. Let's enjoy the rest of dinner." Bo replied as she reached over to MaryAoife and held her hand.

After the dinner portion had concluded, guests mingled about which afforded Rimma and Saladin the opportunity to find a quiet corner to speak.

"We need to tell our families." Rimma said.

"This is not the place or the time yet." Saladin Replied.

"When then?"

"I fear there will never be a good time." Saladin replied.

"Nevertheless, it has to be soon. We cannot hold it off too much longer. Events will start to overtake us, and I don't want to keep our love a secret any longer." Rimma said. "I was thinking before they leave for the Homelands." Rimma said.

"You mean you as well. Saladin replied. Rimma exhaled.

"I don't want to leave you." Rimma said. But before Saladin could answer Her Grand Ducal Serene Highness Nehanda Prescotti approached.

"Hello my sweet one!" Nehanda greeted Rimma with a hug and a kiss. Then Nehanda turned to Saladin who bowed.

"Your Excellency!" Saladin greeted.

"Saladin! I say it's been good to spend time with you all again." Nehanda stated.

"Ready for the return to the Homelands?" Saladin asked.

"Cannot wait! And neither can Noburo. He has been fretting about Ruling Family's return." Nehanda replied.

"I'm sure." Rimma noted.

"I understand Ari wants to inspect the Homelands after her arrival?" Nehanda queried.

"She speaks of nothing else. She is still mournful she could not return in person to help with the investigation of the soil contamination issue." Saladin replied.

"Still, after all this time she still forgets she is Queen, and no longer has the casual will to move about anymore." Nehanda said. Saladin and Rimma smiled. "So, are you returning to the Homelands with us, Saladin?"

"No, Your Excellency. I will remain here until the Ruling Family's return." Saladin replied.

"So, you will reign in Ari's stead?" Nehanda asked.

"Zeze." Regent Saladin replied which turned both Nehanda's and Rimma's heads.

"You're kidding?" Rimma blurted.

"I am not." Saladin replied.

"Why?" Nehanda asked.

"History. Honor. Obligation. Guilt. Take your pick." Saladin replied.

"I though the Final Watch would have put a stop to Ari feeling she still owes that family anything more." Nehanda said then quickly added. "Apologies. I know Regnant Einiah meant just as much to you."

"I think it was the Final Watch which spurred the choice." Saladin replied. Nehanda exhaled then looked to Rimma. "I am looking forward to spending more quality training time with you than we did here."

"Auntie, I don't think I will be traveling to the Homelands either." Rimma said.

"Why not?" Nehanda asked.

"With the Installation of Her Royal Highness, the questions between Divestment and Supremacy are now on an accelerated path. I need to remain here to manage the politics." Rimma replied. Nehanda chuckled.

"It's good to see you still believe you're in control of your comings and goings." Nehanda said then kissed her niece once more. "I better get to the dessert table before your Uncle Bearnard trowels through it." Saladin and Rimma smiled as Nehanda departed.

"She's right you know. Ari and Helen will insist you return to the Homelands." Saladin said.

"But I am needed here." Rimma lovingly pleaded and drew herself close. And I want to remain close to you."

"Let us agree we shall tell them after they return from the Homelands. That includes you." Saladin said.

"But…" Rimma started.

"No buts, my love. Once you all return, we can find a time to tell your family. And mine. Together at once."

"So, your family is coming for a visit fairly soon?"

"Yes. In a short while. That would be a good time." Saladin replied. "Agreed?" Rimma said nothing except return a loving smile and strong embrace.

Maxima found herself looking expectantly around the Great Banquet Hall for her parents and eventually found them in conversation with several of the Rajahs and approached.

"Mummy, Mother? May I have a word?" The Rajahs all bowed to Their Majesties and left.

"Yes, my dear?" Helen replied.

"I would like to ask Vex to the Homelands." Maxima said.

"What?" Ari said a little too loud, and too quickly which made Maxima straighten up a bit. "Is it that serious already?"

"Kenzi will be there with Antony." Maxima pointed out.

"They've been on several, formal public outings." Helen said.

"And this will be Vex and mine's first formal outing." Maxima added.

"To the Homelands? As your first, official outing?" Ari challenged.

"Yes, Mummy." Maxima replied. Ari looked at Helen who looked back at her.

"I need to find Chi." Ari declared, invoking the nickname of her sister Chione, and then turned and left as Maxima curtsied behind her. Afterwhich, Maxima recovered and exhaled.

"Must it be the Homelands as your first official outing?" Helen asked.

"You know I adore the Homelands as much as Mummy does." Maxima replied.

"I know, but you know Mummy finds Vex to be rather suspect, and I share her concern. You might be fascinated by him, but is he important enough to bring to one of the Ancestral homes?" Helen asked.

"I want him to know I find our relationship that important so if this goes any further, he knows what he's getting into." Maxima replied.

"Fair." Helen replied.

"Does that mean I have you and Mummy's permission?" Maxima asked again. It was Helen's turn to exhale. She looked long at her daughter.

"Yes. But he's on his own with the extended family. And most certainly with Norburo." Helen replied.

"Thank you, Mother!" Maxima then went up and embraced her mother, then quickly curtsied and after acknowledged quickly moved off into the crowd. Then Ina, Helen's sister walked up.

"I was observing from afar and so was everyone else in the vicinity. You and Ari didn't have a fight, did you?" Ina asked.

"Maxima asked if Vex could join us on the trip to the Homelands." Helen replied.

"You're joking!"

"No. I'm not." Helen replied.

"Obviously, Ari didn't take that very well." Ina said.

"Maxima's our baby." Helen replied.

"And how old is Maxima?" Ina reminded.

"Maxima is special. Especially to Ari." Helen replied.

"All the children are special to her in some way." Ina said. "Wait until Nehanda and Yammy find out."

"I said to her Vex is on his own with the extendeds." Helen replied.

"And Norburo? You know how traditional he is. It's going to be contentious enough just with Kenzi." Ina reminded.

"I know. I have to make sure he doesn't feed Kenzi or Vex to the swamps." Helen replied.

"Is Bruce coming?"

"No. He has to return the Human Plane."

"My advice?" Ina prompted.

"Please?" Helen prompted.

"Keep Antony and Maxima busy and out of sight during the visit." Ina replied.

"Ari and I already planned on having each of the children visit their patronages while Ari attends to her Sleep and Bo returns to reign in her stead." Helen said.

"Good idea." Ina replied.

"But that's not the real news. Right before the Installation Ceremony, Ari asked Zeze to reign in her stead while she is in the Homelands until Bo returns to reign in her stead." Helen informed.

"I thought Saladin was…" Ina started.

"Me as well." Helen finished.

"Why?"

"Apparently, Ari discussed it with Saladin and that was the decision." Helen replied.

"Ari still gives Zeze too much weight in Royal circles." Ina said.

"You know how much she loved his father." Helen replied.

"Nevertheless, she needs to let him fade into the pasture. As far as the Realm is concerned, Regnant Einiah was laid to rest permanently when Ari laid the sword into the ground." Ina said then looked closer at her sister. "Do you think Ari still feels unworthy to hold the Crown?" Helen said nothing. Ina studied her sister closer. "It's been over 1400 years, Helen."

"I know." Helen replied.

"You think it might be because of Bo's ascension as Princess Royal?" Ina asked.

"That's what I suspect." Helen replied. Ina put her arm around her sister.

"You really need to get to the root of the matter of that with Ari because she cannot for one second doubt that she was ever unworthy. If there are any two people who are, without qualification or equal, our undoubted Sovereigns, it is you and her." Ina said.

"Thank you, Ina."

Antony walked up to Vex with his hands behind his back and said, "I noticed at dinner that my sister has really taken a shine to you."

"Yes, Your Serene Highness, I can have that effect on people." Vex quipped.

"I am sure." Antony replied.

"Your Serene Highness, is there a problem?" Vex inquired.

"No problem." Antony said but stared intently at Vex.

"So then may I ask what is it, then?" Vex asked. Antony continued to stare intently. It took Vex several moments to understand what that stare meant.

"I think I understand now. Hands off." Vex replied. Antony smiled.

"Good fellow!" Antony replied, clapped Vex on the right shoulder, and then turned and left.

Vex looked after him then turned to find the nearest window to look out and ponder his next steps. Shortly thereafter he felt a pair of arms circle his waist.

"A coin for your ponderings?" Maxima said from behind him. Vex smiled.

"It's 'a penny for your thoughts'", Vex corrected, "but a solid go nevertheless." He then turned and faced Maxima.

"I need to leave."

"Okay. We can go to…"

"No. I mean leave the Presidium. And now."

"Wait? Why? Did something happen?"

"I can no longer just look away at the scowls your brother and your Mummy show whenever they look at me."

"What happened?" Maxima asked again. Vex inhaled and then exhaled.

"I feel like I'm tattling."

"What happened?" Maxima insisted.

"Antony. He simply does not care for me."

"What did he say to you?"

"Does it matter?

"What did he say to you?"

"He didn't say it so much as he gave off the strong implication with all of his Fae feralness that I stay away from you. And when I guessed his implication, he smiled, clapped my shoulder and walked off." Vex replied then stepped back from Maxima.

"Do you want to leave?" Maxima asked.

"No! But I can't keep dodging the eye daggers of your family in the hopes they will simply go away!" Vex replied.

"Do you want us?" Maxima asked.

"Yes! Of course! You're amazing! I just don't want to be your brother's lunch!" Vex replied.

"I just asked my parents if you could join us.

"And The Queen said yes?"

"Well, Mother did." Maxima replied to wit Vex rolled his eyes. "But you know that means Mummy as well."

"Reluctantly."

"This is insane! I want you to come with us!"

"Look! Maybe we should slow things down a bit, and I shouldn't go on the big family trip with you. Seems like they feel threatened. It might be better for me to return to the County, and you return to your Homelands, and then we can reconnect upon your return."

"I can stay here. My patronage is here. Or I can return to the County with you while my family is away in the Homelands, or we can visit the Mesmer community here."

"No. None of that will work. If you miss spending this time with your family that will only get me doubly killed."

"I will not accept this! Any of this!"

"You think I like it? I don't!"

"Then stay here at the Presidium at least."

"No. It's better I return to the County, and then when you get back, we can see where we're at." Vex said and then turned and left.

Maxima searched the Great Banquet Hall and found Antony standing in a nearby Atrium chatting with Dakari, Jock and Kenzi and stormed over quickly. Julian was in a nearby corner of the room chatting with The Queen Consort and Dr. Lewis and saw Maxima heading over to Antony from behind them.

"Dear brother, may I have a word?" Maxima demanded. Antony turned to her but said nothing. Dakari and Kenzi looked at them both curious.

"You scared Vex off?" Maxima started.

"We had a conversation." Antony returned.

"How dare you interfere in my private life!" Maxima shouted.

"Your life is only private if the impact of your decisions does not adversely impact the Ruling Dynasty!" Antony shot back

"Dating Vex would impact the Ruling Dynasty? Maxima shouted

"Yes!" Antony replied.

"How so? Because of his eccentric nature?"

"Because of his dubious history! His loyalties are determined entirely by his own self-interest, and cares not who he endangers or kills if it serves his own self-interest. He has even tried to kill Ysabeau and Kenzi or tried to have them killed on more than several occasions. If he could do that to people he half-assed cared about imagine what he would do to someone he just met. Namely, you!"

"If I may," Kenzi piped in, "Bo and I are no longer adversaries with Vex…in …the…strict…sense of the word."

"Matters not to me." Antony turned back to Maxima. "Whatever association he shares with Ysabeau and Kenzi is their affair. Anything beyond a "hi and goodbye" with you is quite another."

"That is still for me to determine!" Maxima challenged.

"Absolutely." Then Antony stepped closer to his sister. "But know this: if he even so much as blows a single hair on your head out of place I will eat his liver. In front of you."

"Do you not have faith in me to take care of myself, dear brother?" Maxima asked evenly.

"I always have faith in you. Just have no doubt in me." He then smiled and was about to kiss her on the forehead when she turned around on him and stormed away, and out of the Banquet Hall.

Dakari suddenly became fixated with his drink as Kenzi looked at Antony with an exasperated look. He shrugged his shoulders, raised up his hands and said, "What?"

"What is going on there?" The Queen Consort asked.

The post-dinner conversation must have tired her." Julian replied as he took a sip of his drink. The Queen Consort shot him a look and then went off in the direction of Antony.

"This sounds like a family matter. "Dr. Lewis commented and then stepped off to go find Bo.

The Queen Consort quickly came up to Antony with Julian behind her.

"What happened? Why is there shouting? Why did Maxima storm off like that? Where is she going?"

"Mother, he is not suited for Maxima." Antony replied.

"How is that any of your business?" Helen chastised.

"Mother, his loyalties are defined by how often the weather changes." Antony replied.

"Mother. There are considerations to be had. After all, Maxima is a member of the Ruling Dynasty." Jock added.

"I agree. Can't just drag anything into the Presidium." Julian commented.

"Not to mention whether his…association with Maxima is genuine or of dubious intent." Dakari said.

"Where is that coming from?" Kenzi blurted at Dakari.

"Whoever Maxima decides to socialize with is for Maxima to decide." Helen chided.

"Mother, they are not alone in their concerns." This came from Elena who came up behind Helen. Ari was with her.

"If his attentions are disingenuous then we will deal with it, but until then trust Maxima and her judgment." Helen said as she looked at everyone.

"My love, they were only acting out of her best interests." Ari said.

"She can determine her own interests." Helen said.

"My love…" Ari started.

"I believe we are done discussing the matter of Vex as a Companion for Maxima!" Helen looked at all of them with a slightly raised eyebrow. All of them took a deep breath. "Good. I trust you will respect your sister and treat Vex properly when he joins us on the visit the Homelands." There was a chorus of surprised looks and exclamations, but Helen put up her Index finger. Everyone fell silent.

"Now I need to go find both Maxima and Vex and smooth this all over." Helen said then turned and walked away.

"And that is my cue to follow." Ari commented and followed Helen as their children looked on. Ariella, Atia, Rimma and Emilia then came up.

"What's going on?" Emilia asked.

"Making our displeasure known about Vex being invited to the Homelands." Julian said.

"Or generally speaking." Antony added.

"Is that why Maxima stomped off?" Emilia asked.

"Yep." Jock replied. Emilia, Atia, Ariella and Rimma's shoulders all slumped in unison. Emilia and Atia then turned and went off in search of Maxima while Ariella threw her hands up at her siblings in exasperation and followed Emilia and Atia.

"You can't control whom she chooses or whom anyone else chooses for that matter, Antony." Rimma chided.

"Watch me." Antony replied.

"Stop it, Antony!" Rimma chided again.

"You really think that little cretin is worthy of Maxima? Or that mousy Louis sniffing after Emilia?" Antony shot.

"I said stop it!" Rimma shot back at Antony then looked Elena. "And you should know better."

"Antony is not wrong in his misgivings. I share them." Elena said

"Not the point and you know it!" Rimma replied.

"Rimmi…" Jock started but Rimma threw her hands up and went after her sisters. Elena's shoulders slumped.

"And there's my cue to follow." Elena said.

"Good luck!" Dakari called out after her. Elena gave him a dirty look before disappearing into the crowd.

As Vex was back in his chambers packing his things to return to the County the doors opened to reveal The Queen Consort. Vex bowed.

"Your Majesty." Vex greeted.

"Leaving us, already?" The Queen Consort queried.

"Your Majesty, my presence offends The Regnant and your sons."

"It most certainly does not."

"Your Majesty, I meant with regard to Maxima."

"They are just being over-protective."

"Your Majesty, they have all made it clear they do not want me near her."

"Well, your departure will most certainly disappoint Maxima."

"Your Majesty?"

"I spoke with her before coming here."

"Your Majesty, I fear that will get me killed by her brothers in broad daylight."

"Whom Maxima chooses to associate with is her choice, and her choice alone. She is looking forward to spending time with you in the Homelands, and it will afford us all time to get to know one another better."

"Your Majesty…"

"I suspect we are done here?" The Queen Consort said that brooked no debate.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Vex replied. The Queen Consort then turned and walked out of the room as Vex bowed behind her. Vex then righted himself and looked at the Seneschal who suddenly appeared.

"Well then! You heard the Queen Consort! If I'm going to die by Antony's hand let's make sure I wearing my best groove on! Let's get packed for the Homelands!" Vex said. The Seneschal bowed their heads in assent. "But first, I need to go find Maxima."

"She is in her rooms within Their Majesties private apartments." The Seneschal replied. Vex nodded and went off in pursuit.

The doors to Maxima's private rooms swang open to reveal Maxima's head laying Emilia's lap while her sisters all sat around her. When Maxima saw Vex she sat up.

"I'm not leaving." Vex declared.

"Oh good! Crisis averted. Can I go back to drinking again?" Ariella said as she stood up, went over to Maxima, kissed her on the forehead and then headed for the open door.

"Good luck!" Ariella said to him as she walked past him and out the door.

"And I am right behind Junior." Atia said as she stood up, followed by Emilia and Rimma, and then lastly Elena. They all kissed Maxima in turn and then gave a supportive pat on Vex's arm as they went out. Except for Elena who stopped and looked at Vex.

"Just to let you know, I share my brothers concerns." Elena said.

"I really do like and respect your sister." Vex replied. Rimma then came and gently wrapped her one arm around Elena's and proceeded to guide her out.

"Enough with the teeth-bearing for one night. Let's leave these two alone, shall we." Rimma said and guided her out the door. Vex closed the door behind them then turned and faced Maxima.

Vex was about to lay out a litany of apologies but was cut short when Maxima rose from the couch and embraced him a deep kiss.

"So, Lauren, how are you Companion in rule to be-hood?" Evony said as she walked up to Lauren who was trying to keep Ryan from toddling off.

"It is still all very surreal for me" Lauren replied.

"You know there's the Seneschal for that." Evony said.

"Bo and I try not to depend on the Seneschal for too much of everything, to include parenthood. Clinging to as much normalcy as we can, while we can, especially when the children are still very young."

"Worked for Ari and Helen." Lauren nodded her head.

"Agreed, but they are far more involved parents than they let on."

"You know this little soiree is simply not about Bo." Evony said.

"Oh?" Lauren looked at Evony as she kept a hold on Ryan.

"It is about observing you as well. People are not often afforded the opportunity to see the Princess Royal's partner and mother of her children up close and personal. While the Royal Couple are most certainly considerate of your role in Bo's life, you are still under, shall we say, observation." Evony said.

"Well, there is not much I cannot do in terms of perception." Lauren replied.

"Oh dear, we have a lot to teach you." Evony chided.

"You, huh?" Lauren looked at Evony.

"Yes, me. We may not have the best history, but this is my plane of existence, and Ari and Helen have accepted you as part of their family, so yes, me."

Lauren looked at Evony long. "Good to know."

"I have to say, though. You looked very much in your element in the Royal Box during the Installation Ceremony." Evony said.

"Why, thank you, Evony." Lauren replied. Then Stasio approached.

"Your Excellency! Milady!" Stasio greeted. Lauren looked over to Europa who was engaged in conversation.

"I bet Europa is enjoying herself immensely." Lauren said.

"That she is."

"You know, I've been thinking. I think there is a role where Europa can play in all of this." Evony said. That made Stasio perk up.

"What is that?" Stasio asked.

"A transitional one. For individuals who wish to transition between the Presidium and the Human plane. Help with the socialization aspect."

"Really?" Stasio queried with hope in his voice.

"I think that would be a perfect niche for her, and it would certainly relieve me of the responsibility in having to deal with all that interpersonal interaction."

"You mean, dealing with people's feelings, cares and concerns?" Lauren poked.

"Yes." Evony replied. Lauren chuckled. Stasio, however, bowed low.

"Thank you, Your Excellency! I could not have thought of a better role for my wife! I know she will be eternally grateful as I am." Stasio said.

"I know." Evony replied as she gestured for him to right himself. "This will not be a shallow role to play. She will serve as a Representative of the Ducal Council and will be critical in working with the Grand Ducals to ensure the social transitions go as smoothly as possible."

"Understood, Your Excellency!"

"Just to make sure we are clear, she will report directly to my sister, Uma since it aligns with the work I've tasked my sister within the Delegation. I know this new role may cause conflict in your Household, but I'm sure the benefits outweigh any sort of conflicts."

"I will ensure it."

"Good!" Evony said then turned and walked away as Stasio quickly bowed. Once she left, Lauren turned to Stasio.

"I'm happy for you and Europa. With all this transitioning happening, it's nice to have a role to play." Lauren said. Stasio offered a smile in response and then went off to tell his wife the good news. Lauren observed as Stasio pulled Europa off to the side and tell her the news. She watched as Europa's eyes went wide with excitement and then quickly embrace her husband, followed by a kiss, then their heads touching together. Bo came up with the Seneschal in tow. It was time for little Ryan's bedtime. Lauren kissed Ryan and gave him a hug and then the Seneschal took away for bed.

"The other amigos?" Lauren asked.

"Off to bed. Char and MaryAoife were already knocked out asleep on Trick's lap. Ethan was being a little fussy. Engineer Prime was helping him build a small structure…"

"Someone had Legos?" Lauren interrupted.

"Nope. An actual small structure. He got wind Ethan likes to build things and so tested the theory. He had Ethan design a small house on one of tech tablets and then replicate out in the patio back over there."

"Really?" Lauren said excited.

"Before you get all happy, he still needs some practice, but Engineer Prime says he already has strong sense of engineering fundamentals." Bo replied.

"I've got to see it." Lauren said.

"I've already asked the Seneschal to move it outside his bedroom window so you can see it later."

"That's so impressive!"

"His brains come from you. That's for sure."

"Stop it! You know I hate it when you short-change yourself like that. What do you think the last ten years have been for you? Going to business classes and growing the DRM into the multimillion-dollar enterprise."

"Luck?" Bo quipped. Lauren gave her a not-so gentle punch in the side. Then took Bo's face into both her hands.

"Bo. I am so proud of you!" Lauren said and then kissed her. However, their embrace was quickly interrupted when the lights went dark, and a spotlight came on and showed Evony and Crystal on a big stage. Everyone looked around.

"Everyone! Please gather close!" Evony called out via the comms systems that bellowed throughout the Great Banquet Hall. "Where is the Princess Royal?" Evony said as she looked out. The crowds parted before Bo and Lauren and they walked towards the stage and were soon joined by Kenzi, Antony, Dyson, Tamsin, Mirabel and the rest of their friends.

"What's going on?" Kenzi asked.

"In honor of the Princess Royal's Installation, we wanted to cap off the evening with a surprise performance guest!" Evony announced as she looked over to Bo then turned to Crystal.

"Your Majesties, Your Excellencies, distinguished guests, and dear family and friends, allow me to introduce to you, Lynn's Trinity!" Crystal announced as she turned to beckon the three-member lady country band to the stage. Bo's jaw dropped.

The band entered on stage to polite applause from the Presidium by and large, but the loudest cheers and applause, came from Bo, Lauren and those around who knew of the band's popularity on the Human Plane.

"How?" Bo looked at Lauren and her friends. "Are they Fae? How?"

"No, they aren't Fae, but from what I understand, Crystal has been working with them to prepare them for this evening. Initially, they had planned to wipe their memories, but after the Human Plane was accepted into Presidium, Evony decided to let the chips fall where they may." Mirabel answered.

"This is the best surprise ever!" Bo declared then turned to Lauren. "We're you in on this surprise?"

"Honey? I'm still in awe you like country music." Lauren replied. Bo turned to Kenzi and Tamsin. "Were you two?"

"Nope!" Both Kenzi and Tamsin replied in unison.

Lynn's Trinity took the three seats set out for on stage with their respective guitars next to each chair. Introduced themselves as Lin, Lynn, and Lynne, hence the name Lynn's Trinity, and then just with their guitars, sang several songs that reminded Bo of woodland folklore, and to Bo's amusement a lot of the Fae in the audience seemed to enjoy the music as they swayed along. By the time the fourth song was over there was genuine applause and shouts for more music from the crowd at large. Then two more chairs were brought out, one placed on each side of the group. Then Crystal stepped back onstage off to the side.

"Your Majesties, Your Excellencies, distinguished guests, and dear family and friends, please welcome His Excellency, Rana Fitzpatrick McCorrigan of the Quedaerin Dynasty and Viceroy Dyson Thornwood of the Renaştere Delegation!" Crystal announced. Trick and Dyson came out with guitars in their hands to a mixture of surprise and loud applause. They both bowed towards the audience then took their seats.

"Get out!" Kenzi exclaimed while clapping her hands.

"You want them to get out?" Antony asked. Kenzi looked at him.

"No. I meant…nevermind…I will explain later." Kenzi replied then fell into his arms. Bo and Lauren did the same as they enjoyed the rest of the concert.

Bo and Lauren said goodnight to the children, and Lauren decided to take in the breeze coming in from their upstairs Drawing Room. She could still see the fireworks going on in the distance as people bustled about in celebration. Bo came up behind her and put her arms around her waist and rested her head next to Lauren's.

"A penny for your thoughts?" Bo asked.

"I was thinking about just everything." Lauren replied. "All of this will be yours one day."

"Ours." Bo corrected.

"I know. But until the marriage question is resolved, officially it will be only you."

"We will get there. I promise."

"You know I am not one to harp, and I will be patient. But I would be lying to you if I did not say it…threw me out of sorts me today. Only so much cover the Queen Consort can provide for me before the rubber meets the road."

"Did someone disrespect you?"

"No. Not at any point. I just…" Lauren sighed. "I just don't want to rely upon someone else graces for appreciation. But I will say during the reception I felt pity from some quarters. Like I was more an ornament than your partner."

"I am sorry you felt that way today."

"Only at times. But then again, I could be reading into things, or it could be my own growing insecurities, or maybe I just need to stop saying I will be patient and really be patient. But I will say this…" Lauren turned to face Bo. "I was so proud of you today, and so were the children."

"They were, huh?", as she began to unzip Lauren's dress and pull it off her shoulders.

"Yes, they were…", as Lauren turned around and raised her eyebrows as Bo was naked "I guess you are on a mission tonight."

"Yes, I am", as they kissed and the rest of Lauren's dress dropped to the floor.

Ari and Helen had returned to their Private Apartments after the close of the Installation Banquet and were preparing for bed when the Seneschal appeared and announced that Nayra, The Seer requested an audience with Their Majesties in the Main Drawing Room downstairs.

When Ari and Helen entered the main Drawing Room, they found The Seer by herself, not accompanied by anyone.

"Nayra? What is it?" Ari prompted.

"Zeze." The Seer replied.

"I see you've heard. Yes, I was planning…"

"You are The One who Reigns."

"Yes. I am aware that…"

The Seer gripped her walking stick and went down on her knees.

"You are The One who Rules." The Seer said. Ari glanced at Helen.

"Nayra, please get up." Ari said.

"Destiny said that you are Life. Death. Eternal. Intended. Anointed. Sovereign."

"Yes, I am aware…."

"Destiny did not mean Einiah or Ysabaeu. Destiny meant you."

"I am aware…."

"No, Your Majesty, you are not aware. In the history of the Fae Realm no other Sovereign has been so uniquely chosen by Destiny than you! Not one. Destiny has never spoken to a Sovereign as many times as it does to you. Destiny chose you. Destiny has always chosen you, and Destiny will continue to choose you over all others. That is why your power over the Athenaeum is unique. Your reign and your reign alone is Life. Death. Eternal. Intended. Anointed. Sovereign. All reigns. All Regnants before or since shall flow through you for you are the Paramount. Do you understand?"

Ari looked at the Seer with understanding while Helen was in tears next to her. Ari stepped forward and helped The Seer to her feet.

"Yes, Nayra. I understand. Finally. And at last. And I thank you." The Queen answered.

"Ever in service in honor of the Realm." The Seer replied.
