A\N: Disclaimer: I sadly do not own Sherlock or any recognisable characters and plots from the BBC series.

A\N2: Not for Mary lovers- I personally don't hate her, but I want her to be bad in this story. Sorry!

"Hello, sweetheart, I'm back. How was your day, love, and won't you introduce me to your friend? I'm sure John's told you about me, I'm Mary, his fiancée."

John had completely forgotten about Mary, with all that had happened recently between him and Sherlock. Sherlock... He turned to face Sherlock, and his heart dropped at the expression of utter betrayal on his face. He watched, frozen in horror, as Sherlock turned to face Mary, schooling his face into a neutral façade, and saying, "Actually, no, I think he forgot. I was actually just leaving, just wanted to say my goodbyes, and then be off. Nice-nice to meet you though." And with that he all but ran of the flat. "Who was that John? Really, you didn't even say goodbye, when he came specially to say it! And why are you so pale?"

"That was Sherlock Holmes," John rasped, and Mary paled. "But he was dead...you saw him die!" Mary cried, her mind so working furiously. She couldn't lose John now, not after all she had done, after all the lies she had told, all the fake papers she had made! "Mary, I want you to know that I did love you. That was not a lie, but, what I feel for Sherlock...nothing and no one could ever measure up to that. I love him Mary, and I cannot marry you- it would be unfair top the both of you." " No! John, think of all he had put you through, of how he left you for TWO ENTIRE YEARS! I can make you happy John, please! " But she knew, as he kept shaking his head with a sad smile I his face, that it was over. " He apologised once more, but the words feel on deaf ears. As she walked out of the flat, she thought,'Sherlock Holmes, I will make you pay! "

"What the hell?" Mycroft said, as he awoke to a loud ring of his doorbell. His anger melted into concern as he opened the door to see his baby brother standing outside, his eyes full of tears and his face twisted in barely concealed pain.
