ACS2E2

As what you guys have read in the description, OOC.

Tenma's head is tilted upwards, a gigantic shadow looming over him and his classmates as he gasps in awe.

"We did it!" Class 3-E cheers happily, as the giant pudding in front of them jiggles, the caramel sauce's droplets going everywhere as it did.

"I can't believe we actually pulled it off," He murmurs in slight surprise, mostly in awe before he chuckles then turns to the green-haired girl beside him with an equal grin as everyone else. "Great plan, Kayano!"

Kayano turns to him — Tenma immediately notes the micro-expressions like he always does; the way her hazel eyes sharpened, the usual bright glint in her eyes replaced with malicious intent, along with the rising anger in them, her smile wasn't cheery like it was before, it was deadly, sharp like a knife — then blinks — the anger and the intent, the hidden bloodlust in her eyes vanished, the bright glint returning in those soft hazel eyes and her smile's aura changes almost instantly, as if those micro-expressions Tenma saw in Kayano's face for a split-second never existed, but he knows that, on the contrary, it does — and sends him a beaming smile along with a light blush at the praise.

"I couldn't have done it without you guys," Kayano giggled, clasping her hands together below her in a shy manner — he glances subtly at those clasped hands, and he could see how they were trembling just the slightest. To anyone outside, it doesn't look obvious, but Tenma could see it. The trembling is from the anger, maybe. Or anticipation? Or from the thrill? Or perhaps to keep her bloodlust in check considering how he could sense that it leaked just the smallest bit, and it felt wild, uncontained, the urgency to lash out, threatening.

Tenma carefully shoves his hands in his pockets, clenching them tightly, purposely digging his nails into his palms and the conflict in his head ended. He fights the urge to gulp, a little shaken up from Kayano's hidden bloodlust from a moment ago, knowing that it'll give himself away that he noticed if he does.

To his credit, he gives a close-eyed smile to the girl. "Mm," He softly hums in agreement, mentally giving himself a pat on the back that he was able to hum normally no matter how strained he felt from giving away how he feels unsettled.

He senses Kayano's gaze leaving him and he would've laughed along with a few others when the rest exclaimed how tempting it is to eat the pudding only to remember that there is a bomb inside if it weren't for the mental conflict he was having.

As they waited for their target, Koro-sensei, to arrive, the students of Class 3-E went on separate ways either around the mountain or somewhere near the vicinity of the old campus.

Meanwhile, Matsukaze Tenma sat silently on his seat, his blue earphones plugged in his ears as music plays from his green portable mp3 player, with his left palm supporting his cheek, his elbow sitting on the surface of his table while his right hand absentmindedly scribbles on a scratch page of his notebook.

He's good at reading people. Or, to put it in a better term, he's good at reading body language; that's why he could predict his opponent's next move to be able to dodge whatever strike aimed at him (including bullets as he was able to determine the shooter's line of sight) that much the class knows.

His habit of reading people originated from when he was living with his parents back in Okinawa. At first he uses that habit as protection for himself, but now that he is in this classroom of assassination, he learned how to use that habit to protect him and his friends, thus it became his sharpest blade.

(If the time from Takaoka wasn't enough proof...)

Tenma suppresses the shiver and he could feel the phantom burning pain on his right forearm.

Because Bitch-sensei is an assassin who specializes in infiltration and honeypot (having to read body language all the time to go for the kill [seduction]), he personally asked her to train him so that he could sharpen his blade, to which she agreed.

He didn't expect to become part of the 'Honeypot Club' (which only includes Maehara, Yada and Tenma) though, also learning some honeypot tricks and techniques along the way.

(And that includes the Kiss of Death. His best were 30 hits in ten seconds.)

("NO, MAEHARA, I HAVE NO SECRET TECHNIQUE TO GET TO 30 HITS!" Tenma exclaimed, his cheeks flushing in embarrassment. "Then how come you got 30 hits while I got 25 in a ten-second kiss?" Maehara pouts, "Surely you have some kind of secret technique..." He murmurs, and then his lips curls into a devious grin that could almost rival Karma's. "Did you train with someone el—"

Tenma covers his ears, the redness on his face doubled. "La, la, la! I'm not listening!"

"So you did train with someone else!"

"Of course not! Yada-san help me!"

"To be honest, I'm rather curious how you were able to pull off 30 hits for someone who is actually shy with intimacy..." Yada thinks out loud, "And here we have Maehara-kun who is the opposite of you with a 5 point difference... I'd like to meet this secret person you were training with, Tenma-kun!"

"YOU GUYS DO REALIZE THAT JELAVIC-SENSEI IS THE ONLY TEACHER THAT TEACHES US HONEYPOT TECHNIQUES, RIGHT?!"

"But she only kissed you twice, right? Just like the rest of us; one to teach us and the other for us to attack."

"Not the point, guys, not the point." Tenma groans, weakly glaring at his two honeypot friends giggling with each other.)

—So you could say that he's also one of the best observers in the class.

But when, the moment after Kayano finished telling everyone about her assassination plan, instead of feeling hyped up as everyone else, instead, he feels unsettled. He brushes it all off, thinking that maybe she is just as excited as everyone else.

So he ignored how Kayano looks rushed, urgent, the hidden bloodlust in her eyes perking up with each second—which he is sure no one but him noticed, only for him to brush it all off thinking that perhaps it was just his imagination considering that it only vanished after a moment—when she was explaining her plan.

She sounds cheerful and patient throughout the whole process, but to Tenma, he noticed how her fingers would occasionally twitch subtly, as if it was itching for something, how she'd check a few things to see if everything is going well with an uncharacteristically sharp and calculated gaze in her eyes when she thinks that no one is looking and for a moment, Tenma thought he was looking at a different person.

He became more unsettled from what happened earlier with Kayano's micro-expressions.

With a soft sigh, he sprawls his arms on the table, resting his hand between his arms.

Kayano couldn't possibly... He's not saying that he's looking down on her, now that would be arrogant of him when he himself has some problems with himself, he acknowledges each and everyone's hidden talents and skills but what he saw from Kayano was so sudden. It was like she had it but chose to hide it from everyone and only now she has shown it (not that anyone noticed) by slipping up.

Did he imagine all of it?

Yeah, that could be the case, maybe he's just overanalyzing things again.

..But his trained paranoia is setting of alarms.

He moves his head and opens his eyes only to be met with the sight of his grey sleeved arm and a little light passing through the gap between his head and arm. Tenma clenches his teeth behind his closed lips as the conflict in his head arises again.

It only silenced when he feels a finger tapping his shoulder. Craning his neck, he sees—

"Isogai?" Tenma mumbles in curious greeting as he sits up on his chair. He takes off one earphone, "Is there something you need?"

The dark-brown haired teen nods then offers the chestnut-brown hair teen a small apologetic smile. "Yes, I'm sorry to disturb you,"

Tenma shook his head then returns a soft smile. "No, you're fine. What is it?"

Isogai—he's hiding his right hand, why?—hands him a familiar pink covered notebook with his left hand as Tenma noticed small disformed dots on his sleeve. "Could you give this to Kayano? She's at the school yard, she asked me to bring this to her saying that she needed to check on a few things but an incident happened at the Home Ec Room."

Hearing that made Tenma shift in his seat as he takes the notebook. With an arch brow, his eyes trails to Isogai's hidden right hand and notes how his hidden hand flinched.

He's in pain. But why?

He notices a dark patch on the male representative's upper right sleeve, it's the same as the small disformed dots on the left sleeve except that this one is dark brown-ish orange.

Home Ec Room...

Ah.

"Got an oily situation there?" Tenma chuckles dryly and his suspicions were proven correct when Isogai sweat-dropped, now sheepishly smiling as the former now rummages through his bag.

"Ah... Hai..."

"I suggest you get that treated first," Tenma pulls out a mini white bandage wrap and hands it him. "oil burns can be a pain."

Isogai chuckles, taking the bandage wrap from the other's hands. "Clearly," He said just as Tenma stands up with Kayano's notebook in hand after shoving the music player in his pocket. "Thanks."

"No problem," Tenma smiled, at the same time his eyes flickers blue.

Isogai blinks for a moment at the sight. "Your eyes has been flickering a lot lately." He points out, causing Tenma to raise his eyebrows in surprise. "It does?"

The male representative nodded, "Even earlier when we were making the giant pudding and when you were laying on your table."

Now that's a surprise. His eyes would tend to flicker or glow when he feels a strong emotion, but that was just because of his spiritual energy. "I don't know much about it, but is there something wrong with your Kenshin?" Isogai's question catches Tenma off guard.

Something wrong with his Kenshin? Now that he mentioned it...

Tenma's brows furrows a little as a thoughtful expression is displayed on his face.

He couldn't feel Pegasus' presence recently.

Not entirely, Pegasus is there but at the same time, Pegasus isn't.

It's like... something is blocking his Kenshin. Or more like, his Kenshin is blocking something, that's why it feels so... dampened.

Isogai notices the troubled look on Tenma's face. He moves his hand to call for him, to offer his help but the sound of some pans clanking on the floor erupted as well as a panicked yelp causing Tenma to snap out from his thoughts. "Oh no," Isogai mumbles, looking at the direction where the noise came from.

Looking back to Tenma, the boy sends him a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine, those guys need most of the help." He chuckled whilst Isogai nodded then he runs outside the classroom, leaving Tenma.

Tenma sighs, thinking that he'll think about the problem with his Kenshin later, for now he should get this to Kayano first. He makes a beeline towards the window, he opens it then jumps over it before walking over to the school yard and there he sees the giant pudding.

As he makes his way around the pudding, he sees Kayano's figure.

Opening his mouth, he was about to call her name but was halted when Kayano looked... angry.

And the reeking bloodlust she emitted was tense that he couldn't help but to make a stance in instinct as he quickly hides behind the pudding, just by the edge to see Kayano's figure.

"This has to work." He hears her mumble once he calms himself down. "That monster has lived long enough, it's time to end things." She continues, but with each word she said, her tone becomes sharper. Deadlier.

Tenma peeks his head a little bit, just enough to see Kayano over the edge of the pudding. Kayano's hazel eyes were filled with uncontrolled raging bloodlust.

"If this doesn't work, I'll..." Kayano's shoulders were shaking, her hands clenching into fists as she closes her eyes when she lets her sentence hang. Opening her eyes, they glowed eerily and maliciously and it really look like Tenma is looking at a different person entirely.

"I have to kill him."

Every air in Tenma's lungs were punched out when Kayano utters those words, the wild unleashed bloodlust, triggering his own instincts.

His eyes flickers again, hidden bloodlust in his eyes.

Tenma snaps himself back when his eyes lands on the pink notebook.

He should give this to her. Inhaling silently, he forces his shaky legs to cooperate.

He has to look at her closely so that he could figure things out clearly.

"Kayano," Tenma is on auto-pilot, or at least, what he feels like he is when he calls out her name so calmly as if the shocking scene he had witnessed never existed.

Or perhaps this is just him going along with his instincts.

As he makes his presence known and walks out of his hiding spot, his eyes narrows a little when Kayano turns to him with a friendly cheery smile, the bloodlust in her eyes and the shimmering anger her body clearly emitted vanished as if it was never there in the first place.

It was shocking how she was able to switch back normally so easily but Tenma keeps a calm demeanor.

"Oh, Tenma! What is it?" Kayano asks, shifting herself to face him.

Tenma mentally notes how her smile looks natural, it wasn't strained or forced.

..She's quite the actor. He thinks before he mutely handed Kayano her notebook to which she took it. "Isogai told me to give this to you," Tenma said, "something occurred in the H.E Room apparently." He added for good measure.

Kayano's eyes narrows a little, it would've been subtle if Tenma didn't notice it.

She's on to me. Tenma curses inwardly, realizing that his actions are way too nonchalant. Too out of character for him. He tilts his head to the side, sending the girl a sheepish smile and shifted his body a little bit, just enough for Kayano to notice. "I wouldn't recommend going there though, it's an oily situation." He laughs a little — good, the laugh sounds natural — for extra good measure. Thank you, Bitch-sensei for your wise teachings.

Kayano's eyes softened.

Looks like I'm out of her suspicions. Tenma carefully breathes a sigh of relief through his nose. Kayano curls her lips a little, worry in her eyes. "That sounds bad, are they alright?"

Tenma shrugs. "With Mr. President, I'm sure they are." He grins.

Kayano chuckled, "Well, we really can't do anything without Isogai or Kataoka," She said before hugging her notebook. "You can go on ahead, Tenma, I'll catch up in a bit." Tenma suppresses the urge to raise a brow. She sounds rushed. I could offer to stay with her but that would give myself away, wouldn't it?

Decision made, Tenma nods. "Alright," He drawls, then sends her teasing smirk. "don't drool on the pudding so much, otherwise there won't be enough for Koro-sensei; temptation can be a fickle thing."

Kayano blushes as her shoulders hunches up together — now that looks real — as clear embarrassment is shown in her expression. "O— Of course I won't! This pudding is a masterpiece we ever made! I wouldn't want to waste it!" She protested with a pout.

"Pfft," Tenma snorted. It's going to explode anyway... He sweat-drops before chuckling. "Alright then, if you say so~ At least make sure to leave some for us just in case!"

Kayano's cheeks puffs out at Tenma's teasing. "Mou, Tenma! What do you take me for!? Geez, just go already!"

"Hai, hai~" And with that Tenma leaves. As he walks back to the campus, he couldn't help but to think one thing.

Kayano Kaede, who exactly are you?

The whispers in his head drastically increases and so he increased his volume to block out the loud whispers.
