Later that night, Kyouka stood over Itadori's body with immense pain thumping in her chest. It's happening again. An innocent life. Gone. The dried blood splattered over his hollow chest still from Sukuna's attack while Shoka did her due diligence over the body. "You couldn't have prevented this from happening." Her low voice sounded through the pounding blood in Kyouka's ears.

"I could have. I knew the second Sukuna took over the kids' body that he was done for. But they "needed" me in Kyoto. Bullshit." Kyouka hissed, her voice barely above a whisper. Her anger coursed through her as flashes of the young boy's actions flew around her. "Megumi knew too."

"How is young Fushigoro?" Shoka asked, washing her hands in the sink. "He's a tough boy to read."

"He's sad. That much is clear but he won't talk to me. He always talks to me." She replied, tiredness and anger painting her eyes. "I wanted…a different outcome."

"Not even you can see everything." The familiar voice of the root of her anger sounded. Gojo entered the room and gazed down at the lifeless body, followed by Ijichi.

'I'll be right back. Ijichi, come." Shoka said, bowing out of the room quickly, taking the stumbling assistant with her. Kyouka's eyes burned into her male companion's frame as he took Itadori's image in. "This wasn't my fault, Kyouka."

"The hell it isn't. I told you…from day one that this was a bad idea. He was just a kid!"

"We were kids!" Gojo yelled back. Surprised by the unusual tone the normally calm sorcerer had, Kyouka took a step back. "We were kids too, Mari. And look what happened." Kyouka threw a wave of energy at Gojo that hit against his infinity, but she still continued blasting him.

"Exactly! You absolute asshole! You should know better than to put these kids through what we went through! They deserve better! And now this kid is dead! And Megumi saw it!"

"GOOD!" Gojo yelled again, forcing Kyouka to freeze in his cursed energy. Pinning her against the wall, he inched closer to Kyouka's face. "The kid needs to learn the ugly parts of this life. People will die. He has to be okay with that." His glare burned through the blindfold; but she could feel the fire in his eyes.

"You know he knows that better than the others." Kyouka whispered, feeling her throat tighten. "I wanted to protect him from witnessing another death." Gojo froze at her words and released his energy from her. She fell to the ground softly, bringing her angry eyes up to Gojo's stoic face. "Why is that so wrong?"

"He's not your kid. It's not your job to protect him." His words cut into the deepest part of Kyouka and he knew it. "We can discuss this later, Mari." Her given name from his lips calmed Kyouka's racing heart for a moment before she cleared her throat. "For now, I need to hear the report from Ijichi and for Shoka to do her thing." Kyouka relented and sat on the nearby bench, letting Gojo sit next to her. His infinity was down now, letting her know that all was well for the moment. "I promise, we'll talk about this later." Ijichi finally walked back in, looking at Kyouka in slight fear.

"I told them to run…fighting wasn't an option!" Ijichi explained, a coursing fear flowing through the man as he spoke.

"It was intentional. The special grade." Gojo told him, bringing Kyouka to attention. "Why send first year students to rescue five people who would more than likely already be dead? I pushed for Itadori's execution to be suspended; most higher ups didn't like that."

"They took advantage of our absence." Kyouka figured it out. "I knew that Principal Gagamachi asking for me seemed fishy."

"He asked for you specifically?" Gojo asked, hearing the annoyance in his friend's voice. She nodded slowly, her eyes finally meeting Gojo's face.

"I watched students take a test. Not exactly sorcerer level difficulty." Gojo's mouth pursed slightly and growled.

"Pinning the blame is a pain. Maybe I ought to cut to the chase and murder all the higher ups." Kyouka let a small smirk show as Shoka made her entrance again.

"You aren't normally this emotional, Gojo. Did you take a liking to this one?" She asked, twirling her hair in her fingers.

"I always care for my students." Gojo said, leaning on his knees a little more. He looked tired in Kyouka's opinion. Like he wasn't his obnoxious, cheery self. Maybe he does feel a little guilty.

"So this is Sukuna's vessel? I cut him up?"

"Jesus Shoka." Kyouka whispered, rubbing her hands against her face roughly.

"Just make good use of him." Gojo stated, feeling Kyouka shake with anger next to him.

"I have a deeply flawed personality." Gojo continued, crossing his legs.

"You don't say…" Ijichi mumbled.

"Ijichi, expect a forehead flick. Teaching isn't my style; do you know why I decided to teach at this school in the first place? Ask me." He spoke to the assistant.

"Why did you decide?"

"I have a dream. This world is a den of vice. All conservative fools, old fools, arrogant fools, just…fools. It's a bargain sale on rotten meat. I want to reset that garbage Jujutsu world. Murdering all the higher ups is a short term fix; but then they'd all get replaced and there won't be a rebellion."

"Not to mention, no one would follow a murdering pyschopath." Kyouka mumbled, braiding her hair in boredom. Gojo grumbled in slight agreement before continuing.

"That's why I chose education. As a way to raise strong and clever compatriots. We have a lot of rising stars here; Yujji would have been one of them." His fists balled in anger on his knees, a habit that was as rare as his yell. He definitely feels guilt.

"Hey, I'm going to get started. Are you going to watch from there?" Shoka asked. However, a movement behind her froze Ijichi, Gojo and Kyouka.

"Please tell me you're seeing that too?" Kyouka whispered, pointing at the now erect body of Itadori.

"Hey, who are you?" He asked Shoka, who gasped loudly. Gojo began laughing to himself while Kyouka tried to calm Ijichi down. "Where are my clothes?"

"Hey Yuji! What's up man?" Gojo smiled, high fiving the teen. Kyouka smiled at their interaction and let out a breath of relief. "Welcome back."

"That lucky kid." Kyouka mumbled, shuffling out of the morgue.

Later that day, Gojo found Kyouka reading outside her cabin. "No one knows about this place. I literally just moved in a few weeks ago. How did you find me?" She murmured, turning a page in her book.

"Do you even need to ask?" He replied, tapping his blindfold. Kyouka rolled her eyes and tucked her feet further under her. "I thought you'd be in a better mood with Itadori being alive and all." He teased, taking a seat next to her.

"I am happy. This is my happy face." She sighed, forcing a smile for him to drop the conversation. Gojo instead, scooted closer to her and grasped the book from her hands, keeping her place with her bookmark.

"Convincing. Talk to me." He whispered, setting the book down. Kyouka sighed and rubbed her eyes tiredly. "Mari…you can tell me."

"I know. But whenever I feel something and tell you about it, it just feels…silly. Like I shouldn't feel this way and you're right!"

"Right about what?" Gojo asked, feeling Kyouka's body stiffen in frustration.

"He's not my kid. I shouldn't care whether he witnesses death or kills someone. It's the world we live in; it's inevitable."

"Are you talking about Megumi or Yuji?" Gojo asked, seeing Kyouka's eyes widen in realization.

"Both…shit." She whispered, holding her head in her hands. "I want to go back to the time when I didn't care about anyone and I just floated through life. It was easier then." Gojo nodded and reached towards Kyouka's hair that fell over her hands.

"Then you wouldn't be you." He whispered, tucking the hair behind her ear gently. She nodded her head in anguished agreement before sighing. "That empathy can really be a curse, can't it?"

"And it's not even a cursed energy. It's just…me." Kyouka mumbled, looking up into the setting sun. "I haven't told anyone that he's still alive. I'm assuming you wanted to keep him a secret for a while."

"This is why I keep you around. You're smart. Amongst other things." Gojo snarked, handing Kyouka back her book.

"I'm sorry for earlier; the attacks and whatnot." She sighed, cracking her knuckles to release some tension. Gojo chuckled and waved his hand in the air.

"Just a friendly fight between co-workers. You wouldn't have been able to land a hit anyway." He teased, seeing Kyouka crack a smile. "There it is."

"You annoy me." She laughed, nudging her friend with her foot. "Want some dinner?" Gojo's ears perked at the mention of food. "Come on then child, I'll cook us something."

A few days had passed and the exchange event was nearing. From Yuji's private training and keeping Nobara and Megumi on their toes with their training; Kyouka was running on fumes. But, her training with Megumi was a priority. It was killing her keeping Yuji's secret from the teen, but he was progressing well even with the supposed death.

"You still want to keep your hands free when in combat?" She asked him, swiping at him with a long staff. He dodged easily and swiped back at Kyouka, forcing her to push Megumi back roughly. "Having a cursed weapon would make it easier for you." She looked down at the fallen student, trying to conceal her smirk.

"What's your cursed object?" He groaned, picking himself back up. Kyouka pointed at her neckline to a black crystal hanging from a chain. "I thought that was just an accessory."

"That's kind of the point. Most jujutsu sorcerers have their own techniques and preferences when using cursed objects. Some don't need one, or don't want one, like you. They like their hands free. That being said, there are some advantages to learning the skill."

"I thought you'd be powerful enough without one." Megumi mumbled, his focus still on the dark crystal. In the light, the aura it exuded illuminated the power within.

"I am. But the power inside this crystal is one I rarely use. It's too powerful for day to day use and like you said, I am powerful without it. It's a good back up though if I were to be overpowered."

"Who could overpower you?" Megumi asked, a slight fear flashing through his eyes. Kyouka chuckled to herself and sighed. "Gojo?"

"He'd give me a run for my money, sure. We've never fought each other like that, so I'm not sure who would win."

"Oh please. You know for a fact who would win." The familiar grating voice sounded. Gojo appeared with his nonchalant smile and nodded his head to Megumi. "Don't lie to the students."

"Aren't you supposed to be…teaching?" Kyouka seethed, narrowing her eyes at Gojo.

"I'm just checking up on you two. Training going well? Cursed objects?"

"Kyouka was explaining her reasoning using her cursed object." Megumi said, stretching his arms out. Gojo nodded and stole a glance at the accessory around Kyouka's neck.

"It is powerful. However, with her cursed technique, weakness within, her crystal isn't necessary." Gojo yawed, sensing Kyouka's annoyance.

"You've never liked it. I just think you hate the idea that something is maybe as powerful as you." She shot back, crossing her arms in triumph. Gojo cackled and patted Kyouka on the head. "I am not a dog!"

"You're so cute when you talk nonsense. Anyhoo, we're meeting with Yaga tonight. I'll pick you up." He said walking away from Megumi and Kyouka. "Remember to eat!"

"I can find my own way! Gojo! Are you listening to me?" Kyouka called out, but Gojo ignored her. "God, he's annoying."

"I can punch him." Megumi said, causing Kyouka to laugh. "What? I can!"

"No doubt. Come on, more training before I can start on my paperwork."

Hours and piles of paperwork later, Kyouka was finally done with her day, except for Yaga's meeting. "Do I need to be there?" She groaned to a lounging Gojo. "Also, get your feet off my table."

"Yaga wants both of us. Not sure why. I really don't care. Come on, let's go." He yawed, getting to his feet. "It'll be good for you to get away from here for a bit too."

"So sorry I've spent the majority of today filling out paperwork. My co-teacher hates doing that part of his job." She growled, following Gojo out of the office. He chortled and shrugged his shoulders. "He's such a pain in my ass."

"You should file a grievance with the school."

"He's like a roach. Impossible to kill."

"A cute roach."

"Doesn't exist."

The pair found Ijichi waiting by the car, holding the door open for them. "Thank you, Ijichi."

The drive was quiet, Kyouka thinking too much about the events that had transpired over the past weeks. "How is Yuji doing?"

"He's good. Controlling his curse flow is coming easily to him. He's a quick learner." Gojo told her, resting his head on the window. "Did you eat today?" He asked suddenly. Kyouka shook her head, feeling Gojo's glare behind his blindfold. "Running around taking care of everyone else but not yourself."

"You're one to talk. You've been looking a little more worn out than usual, Mr. Six Eyes." Ijichi viewed the interaction between the pair through the rear view mirror and couldn't help but smile. They cared for each other behind all the fussing. "I worry about you too, Gojo." Gojo shook his head and smirked. "You're not a God. You can handle only so much."

"Put your energy into something more useful than watching over me. Like perhaps eating more than a muffin a day."

"What is with you and my eating habits?" Kyouka snapped, choosing to look out the window in annoyance. "What happened back then, won't happen again, ok? I was weak. I'm not anymore."

"And what was that about me thinking I'm a God?" Gojo mumbled, remembering the memory that Kyouka mentioned. "Just eat."

"We have some time before your meeting with Yaga, do you want to stop somewhere?" Ijichi asked.

"Let's surprise him and show up early for a change." Gojo mumbled, placing his head on the window. Kyouka sighed heavily before feeling an overwhelming presence take over her. "Stop here." Ijichi stopped the car and both sorcerers got out. "You go on ahead."

"What? Is this a test? You're going to hit me if I drive away, aren't you?"

"What kind of man do you think I am?" Gojo sighed before seeing the car pull away. Kyouka looked around while stretching her hands out. "Ready?" Kyouka nodded just as a loud spirit blasted between them, knocking them back slightly. "Now, who are you then?" A loud explosion of lava from the mountainside brushed against Gojo while Kyouka propelled herself into the air away from the blast.

"Well that was easier than I thought." The spirit cackled, noticing the cloud of fire and dust coating where Gojo stood before. Kyouka laughed to herself before warping down beside the settling cloud.

"Who are you calling 'easy'?" Gojo asked, clearing the dust from his vicinity.

"What a pain in the ass." The cursed spirit groaned, twisting the volcano like protrusions on his head. "First, I wasn't expecting another sorcerer here, and now…I actually have to try."

"Sorry to ruin your plans. Now, who are you? An unregistered special grade?" Kyouka asked, feeling the immense energy circulating the area.

"Sorry to bruise your ego's." He snarled, throwing more lava and energy towards the pair. "Is that all it took? The strongest sorcerers were taken down like that? They weren't living a truth; but I will spread the real strength. The truth that only death reveals."

"Ugh, we just went over this a minute ago. Are you a slow learner?" Gojo's voice spoke up through the smoke. "This smoke is so irritating. Kyo?"

"I'm here. I was just enjoying his little monologue there about spreading strength or whatever." Kyouka smiled, brushing the dust away from her face.

"What's going on here?" The spirit asked, clear shock on his features.

"In simple terms? You missed us."

"Impossible! I felt the contact just now against you!" He growled, pointing his finger at Gojo.

"No you didn't. What you felt was my infinity, this barrier between myself and whatever is around me." Gojo explained while Kyouka laughed.

"You just straight up missed me." The spirit growled loudly as he approached the pair. "See for yourself." She twirled, showing no signs of injury or impact. "The dust caused more issues than you." The evil glint in her eyes showed Gojo that she was enjoying herself with her taunting.

"Hold out your hand." Gojo said to the spirit, showing him the invisible force between them. "Now, can we hold hands if you like?" He teased, gripping the spirit's hand gently. "Don't get shy now, you'll make me feel self conscious too." Kyouka giggled as Gojo landed punches on the spirit, spewing purple blood from the being.

"Infinity exists everywhere. I just use my jujutsu to bring it into reality. Convergence, divergence. What do you think would happen if one touches this void?" Gojo continued, illuminating a red dot at the tip of his finger. "Cursed technique reversal: red," Kyouka giggled and watched as the sorcerer threw the spirit through the forest while repeatedly blasting him with energy. He let the spirit rest for a moment when he felt Kyouka brush up against him.

"I have to admit, watching you work is quite something." Kyouka smiled, noting the beaten spirit in the destruction.

"Keep him company, I'll be right back." He smirked, warping away.

"I swear if he comes back with sweets, I'll kill him." Kyouka grumbled, seeing the beaten curse struggle to sit up. "Having fun?"

"He's…insane."

"Yes, that would be a correct description of his mental state."

"Are you for show? You haven't attacked me."

"Yet. But really, do I have to? You already look like shit." She smirked, twirling her fingers in the air. An array of purple energy appeared on her finger tips; focusing the spirits attention on her. "If you want a show though, I can do that." Strands of her hair shone brighter as Kyouka shot off energy bursts at the spirit, stabbing through the thick surface of his skin. He yelled in pain at each attack, trying to crawl away before Kyouka's energy kept him in place. "Uh uh, stay right there."

"Gojo was my target! Not you!" He yelled out, feeling the energy stab through his body. Kyouka honed in on the slip of his tongue and increased the amount of blasts. "What is this power?"

"I've been looking at you long enough that I know your weak points. I can kill you in half a second if I want to. I'm just having fun with you at the moment. Why did you come for Gojo?"

"Is that…your technique?" The spirit spat at her before trying to blast lava back at Kyouka. She dodged it easily and pinned the spirit down with her energy.

"Why would I tell you my abilities? I'm not one for monologuing like you." Kyouka growled, her hair shining wildy now. "Now I'll ask again, why did you come for Gojo?"

"You look like you're having fun." Gojo's voice sounded behind Kyouka. He had a very confused Yuji in his hold.

"I was at the school ten seconds ago…right?" Yuji asked his teacher.

"I warped us." Gojo simply said.

"Why did you bring the kid? A shield?" The spirit groaned, weakened by Kyouka's previous attacks. Kyouka laughed out loud at the idea of Gojo needing a shield, seeing the sorcerer himself laugh.

"He's just here to watch. I'm in the midst of teaching him a lot of things. So just ignore him and let's just fight."

"Tagging him along won't slow you down?"

"Nope. I mean really, you're kind of weak." Gojo taunted, causing the spirit to combust in anger.

"How dare you insult me you ignorant ass! I will enjoy tearing that smug look off your face."

"Yeah good luck with that, his ignorance is a permanent thing." Kyouka snickered.

"Domain expansion!" Gojo seemed unbothered by this new turn of events, so Kyouka floated down closer to Yuji. The teen looked alarmed at the changing vibe around him until Kyouka whispered to him.

"You're going to be fine. Just stay close to both of us." The environment around the group changed immediately, the once forested area now a rock solid plane of lava and rock.

"Toasty." Kyouka mumbled, seeing the spirit grin wickedly at them. "This is domain expansion. The innate domain is used up of cursed energy, then you imbue it with a cursed technique."

"What you three encountered at the detention center was an incomplete domain; it hadn't been imbued with proper techniques. If it had been, you all would have died. I think Megumi knew that." Gojo explained, his signature smirk plastered on his face.

"Expanding a domain like that takes tons of energy, but it's worth it for the most part." Kyouka continued, seeing Yuji soak in all the new information. The spirit tried attacking them with shattered rocks, but Gojo shattered them easily away from them.

"Now you can also…" Gojo started but the spirit interrupted them.

"If I neutralize that infinity of yours with a dense domain, then my techniques will reach you!"

"Yeah, they'll hit." Gojo shrugged.

"The most effective way to handle a domain is to create your own. When two domains are laid out, the more refined domain dominates that space." Kyouka smirked and grasped onto Yuji in preparation. "Hold on and don't panic." She whispered, seeing Gojo pull down his blindfold.

"There won't be anything left of you Saturou Gojo!" The space around them illuminated in fire and lava before Gojo froze everything with four words.

"Domain expansion: infinite void." Everything went quiet and bright light erupted all around them. Gojo's presence pulled Kyouka and Yuji towards him, finding the cursed spirit aimlessly floating in space.

"This is the inner world of Limitless. Every act in life is repeated over and over again. Ironic isn't it? When granted every possible thing, you can't use it." Kyouka took this moment to notice how calm Gojo sounded. In his realm; he really was a God. His bright eyes too often hidden from the world shone brilliantly as fear coursed from his prey. At this moment, to Kyouka, Gojo Saturou was a beautiful but terrifying God. "All you can do is die peacefully, but I still have something I need to ask you. So instead, I'm going to let you off the hook with this." Gojo's large hand gripped tightly on the spirit's head and tore it off as if it was a piece of paper. The group warped back to the forest with the head of the spirit rolling around in the vegetation. "Now, who sent you for me?" Gojo asked, his foot firmly on the head.

"He wasn't expecting a fight like this." Kyouka mumbled, thinking over the possibilities of who the source could be.

"Was something good supposed to happen if you killed me? Regardless, you're going to have to tell me. Who sent you? I want a name."

"Can curses actually hold conversations like this? It seems so normal." Yuji asked Kyouka. Before she could answer, another force cut between the group.

"Flowers?" A light aura floated around the group, temporarily blinding their will to fight. "This is a little too uplifting for me." She growled, feeling Yuji get lifted into the air. "Oh shit."

"Leave me! Go after them! I'll be fine!" Yuji yelled while being thrown into the air. However, the spirit morphed into spikes and pulled the teen back down to earth. "Wait, nevermind I need help!" Kyouka quickly cut up the spirit and torched it, saving Itadori in time, while Gojo starred up into the sky in search of the new curse.

"They got away. Damn he's good at disguising his presence. He's way more impressive than Volcano Head."

"Can we just focus on the fact that someone tried to kill you?" Kyouka groaned, pulling Itadori up off the ground.

"Let's get the kid home first. Things just got very interesting." And with that, the trio warped back to the school. "We will increase your training, Itadori; but for now, continue your movies. Mommy and Daddy have to talk." Kyouka groaned at his wording while saying good night to Yuji.

"I do wish you'd stop calling us that."

"Why? It's fun. Especially your reaction." Gojo smiled wide, leading Kyouka out to the courtyard. The girl's face was stoic, but her eyes were clouded with worry. Her aura had changed too from their fight with Volcano Head. "Kyo? Let's get some food." With everything that had transpired that night, Kyouka forgot about the hunger pains coursing through her. "Somewhere private."

Gojo warped them to a local tonkatsu place and then warped them back to Kyouka's home. They had barely spoken a word to each other and Kyouka didn't fight Gojo over the check like she normally did. She was so far in her head with thoughts, it began to worry Gojo. Sitting at her dinner table, Kyouka eagerly enjoyed her meal while Gojo looked her over in thought. She had fun today playing and taunting with Volcano Head; a rare thing for the girl these days. However, the reasoning behind their fight was his biggest concern. "We need to find out who put a hit out on you." She spoke through the pork.

"I'm not worried." Gojo sighed, sipping on his tea.

"You never are, I have to be for both of us. Gojo, he was strong. What if there's more coming?"

"Then we'll be ready." Gojo answered nonchalantly. "You fought well today."

"You didn't need me." She mumbled, poking at her food.

"No, but it was still fun to watch you. I haven't seen you fight like that since…last year." Kyouka looked solemnly at her food for a moment but allowed a smile to form. "Mari…"

"Fighting makes me feel strong and that I'm in control. These days, I don't feel in control anymore. I'm just waiting for something to go wrong and it's driving me crazy."

"You can't control everything. Life happens. Things are going to happen that we can't control; but I'm trying to steer things in a direction that we can manage."

"It's all fucked up." She sighed, rubbing her head in tiredness. "We can't trust anyone. Not after Geto." Gojo froze at the mention of their old friend. A prickling feeling of uneasiness crawled over him as Kyouka brought her eyes up to him. She never brought Geto up; neither did Gojo for that matter. It was one of those unspoken rules they lived by and it worked for them both, until now. "It's been a tough year." Gojo said nothing and continued eating his food before she spoke again. "I don't know how you did it; I guess that shows how much stronger you are."

"It wasn't about strength." Gojo mumbled, remembering the blood soaked body of their former friend in the alleyway. His final words still burn in Gojo's conscience. Kyouka's eyes clouded with pain while she abandoned her food, retreating into the kitchen. Gojo followed her quickly, feeling her sadness pull him. "I know you get annoyed when I pick on you about eating; but this is why."

"What?" Kyouka asked, seeing Gojo point at the discarded food.

"You stop taking care of yourself when you are overwhelmed. After last year, you stopped eating for months and you made yourself sick." Kyouka's face fell at the tone Gojo held towards her. "You think I don't notice these things, but I do. You run around taking care of everyone else, but you forget about yourself." Kyouka stared at the face of her closest friend, unable to form words. Outside forces would think he was angry with her due to his clipped tone. He wasn't angry; this was his concern. "Geto wasn't your fault."

"Or yours." She croaked, freezing Gojo. Her eyes steeled with a clear anger before she spoke again. "I notice things too, Gojo. You don't have to take responsibility for his actions. Or his mistakes."

"You weren't a mistake." He cut in, pulling his blindfold down. The intensity of his eyes cut through the hurt Kyouka exuded and made her freeze. "He cared about you." His voice was barely a whisper, pulling at Kyouka's heartstrings slightly. However, she pushed past him roughly, refusing to hear his convictions.

"I don't care anymore. That was a long time ago. We were kids."

"You need to deal with whatever you're holding onto and move on. That anger is going to kill you."

"I'm not angry, Saturou! Just drop it!" She yelled, turning on her heel to face him. Inches were between the two sorcerers' faces as Kyouka spoke again. "You feel less than I do. I've made my peace with that; but please stop telling me how to feel."

"You don't even know what you feel." He retorted, his eyes searching hers. "What happened back then? I know something did. You both changed." Long gone was his teasing tone. This was serious Gojo Saturou, and Kyouka didn't know what to do.

"Please…please just go." She whispered, avoiding the steely gaze Gojo showed. He didn't want to go, he wanted to stay with her. Give her whatever comfort she desperately needed; despite her reluctance to open up. However, the utter pain of whatever memory was brought up painted her avoiding eyes. "I just need to sleep. Everything will be okay…" Her voice stopped when Gojo's large hand clasped hers.

"One day, you will tell me. Trust me enough with it." He said, pulling his blindfold over his eyes again. "Sleep well." Then he warped.

Tears stung in her eyes as Kyouka fell to her floor, clutching her stomach slightly. Over the last decade, she had worked tirelessly to bury the moment her and Geto's connection crumbled. And then after the attack last year; those memories resurfaced. Gojo had been right though; she had to deal with it. The sheer weight was killing her and clouding her judgment. For now, she needed the pain to go away just for the night so that she could recharge her body to take on whatever obstacle the jujutsu world would throw at her tomorrow.
