this is another chapter touch-up through the art of revision. this chapter of 'The Heartless Timing of Life', formerly 'The Heartless Timing That Is Life', is a measly one-hundred-ninety-eight words worth of storyline. a one-hundred-ninety-eight words worth of storyline that obviously doesn't include this here headnote paragraph or the mandatory disclaimer which makes up the following paragraph.

disclamation: I don't own the 'Pokémon' anime in any way, shape, or form. I'm afraid that the ownership rights of that, the manga, and the games are reserved for Satoshi Tajiri and the folks of the Nintendo Gaming Company. yes, I know that the creator of 'Pokémon' has the same name as Ash Ketchum's name in the raw Japanese dub is. I don't even own this fanfiction's own storyline. the storyline for this very fanfiction has been inspired by a tween-friendly Korean cartoon under the series title of 'Flowering Heart'.

Professor Sycamore was also quite disappointed in Alain.

Professor Sycamore: You should never say things like that to Mairin. She opened her aunt and uncle's beach house to us all, and that's how you thank her? You owe Mairin an apology, Alain.

Alain: I don't need anyone to remind me about it. I know I chose the worst time possible to tell Mairin the truth about her birth but being reminded that I might as well have used it as argumentative ammunition is the last thing I need, right now.

Raymond came out to talk with Alain about what the young man told his niece/daughter.

Raymond: Think about it. There is a right and wrong time to tell the truth. You told my Mairin the truth at the worst, most wrong time possible.

Even Alain's own pokémon agreed with what Raymond and Professor Sycamore told him about Mairin, even his number one pokémon partner, Charizard.

Alain: Like I said to the professor, I don't need to be reminded. Mairin's happiness means everything to me, and yet, I still used the truth about her own life as a weapon in our argument.
