yet another minor modification to my first ever Marissonshipping fanfiction, 'The Heartless Timing of Life', formerly 'The Heartless Timing That Is Life'. I promise that these adjustments will be the last adjustments to my fanfiction that I ever make. this twelfth chapter of my Marissonshipping fanfiction, 'The Heartless Timing of Life', is two-hundred-eighty-two words worth of pure storyline. obviously, none of that storyline includes this headnote, right here, nor does it include the mandatory disclaimer that is the following paragraph. I usually have an author's comment or two hidden in the chapters, but this is one of those rare times when I don't. OK, on with the mandatory disclaimer.
disclamation: I don't own the 'Pokémon' anime, manga, or games in any way, shape, or form. I also own none of the movies from the 'Pokémon' anime. I'm afraid that those ownership rights are reserved solely for Satoshi Tajiri and the folks of the Nintendo Gaming Company for the games.
Alain suddenly became offended at Mairin's assumption that he could not talk to girls. Of course, the girls he had talked to before were merely all of his opponents who were mega-evolving pokémon trainers like Malva and Astrid, the pokémon trainer with the Mega Absol. There was also the idea that unless it was about dating, they pretty much did not count.
Alain: What do you know about talking to the opposite gender, Mairin? I'll have you know I have talked to many girls before now.
Mairin: You mean girls like Malva and the Mega Absol trainer I saw you battling when I first went to watch your fight alongside your Mega Charizard? Last time I checked; mega-evolutionary battling doesn't actually count as talking to girls.
Alain was about to make a comeback to Mairin's statement about talking to girls, when he realized that what she said was true. He really did limit his conversations with women to mega-evolution battles.
Alain: Mairin's right. I'm way out of touch with even the teenager within me, and it's about time I tried to do something about it.
Raymond and Kimberly heard everything Alain said about being out of touch with even his own teenage hormones. Raymond decided he could help lead the way for Alain to rediscover his inner teen.
Raymond: So, you wanna get back in touch with your inner teenager, do you?
Alain: I never thought all those years I spent as Professor Sycamore's assistant or working for Team Flare could actually take my own youth from me. The former of which was pretty ironic, but the latter was actually understandable.
