another small chapter has been revised and rewritten on Microsoft Word and is being submitted onto through Microsoft Edge. granted, that I'm a perfectionist, but I strive to do my best, especially when my best turns out to not be good enough. this chapter is only a measly one-hundred-ninety-two words worth of storyline with a comment from yours truly hidden within the chapter, itself, under the guise of an author's note. unfortunately for me, this headnote is not included as part of this chapter's storyline, and neither is the mandatory disclaimer which makes the paragraph following my headnote, right here.

disclamation: I don't own the 'Pokémon' anime in any way, shape, or form. I'm afraid that the ownership rights of that, the manga, and the games are reserved for Satoshi Tajiri and the folks of the Nintendo Gaming Company. yes, I know that the creator of 'Pokémon' has the same name as Ash Ketchum's name in the raw Japanese dub is. I don't even own this fanfiction's own storyline. the storyline for this very fanfiction has been inspired by a tween-friendly Korean cartoon under the series title of 'Flowering Heart'.

Raymond and his wife slapped their hands onto their faces in frustration. Alain suddenly grew embarrassed that he got it wrong.

Alain: Could I have possibly worded it differently, at least?

Raymond: Actually, my wife and I slapped our hands to our faces in frustration because you weren't even close.

Alain: What? I thought Mairin once said that I was her type.

Kimberly: As my daughter, herself, told me inside the beach house, that was a long time ago, as in before finding out that your employer, Lysander, was not only a bad person, but also the leader of Team Flare.

Raymond: My daughter, Mairin, had told my wife while the both of them were still inside the beach house that ever since then, she had decided to start being 'just friends' with you.

A/N: I know, typical man. they either see us as 'just a friend' or they want nothing to do with us at all until we decide we're done liking them that way. I'm a girl, by the way. Granted, I'm now an adult, but I know what it means, nonetheless.

Alain was embarrassed that not only did he not even come close to Mairin's reasons for forgiving him nowadays, but he also now knew that Mairin had decided to be 'just friends' with him for longer than he had known.

Alain: So then, what do the two of you think her reasons for forgiving me have always been?
