another short(er) chapter in need of revision and a touch-up here and there. here is chapter seventeen of my newly revised Marissonshipping fanfiction, 'The Heartless Timing of Life'. this chapter is a mere two-hundred-forty-three words worth of storyline and as much as I wish it could be for the sake of the blogging standards for which I've set myself, this here headnote and the mandatory disclaimer that is the following paragraph can't be a part of my fanfiction's storyline. I'm sorry to fans who expect more words than just what's below the slant of this chapter.

disclamation: I don't own the 'Pokémon' anime in any way, shape, or form. I'm afraid that the ownership rights of that, the manga, and the games are reserved for Satoshi Tajiri and the folks of the Nintendo Gaming Company. yes, I know that the creator of 'Pokémon' has the same name as Ash Ketchum's name in the raw Japanese dub is. I don't even own this fanfiction's own storyline. the storyline for this very fanfiction has been inspired by a tween-friendly Korean cartoon under the series title of 'Flowering Heart'.

Meanwhile on the beach, Kimberly was still busy getting, or rather trying to get, her 'niece'/daughter, Mairin, to come and try to console Alain in his hour of needing her and her alone. Just then, the two sisters, Evangeline and Yvonne, came running in their direction. Evangeline was trying to get her earrings back from Yvonne when they fell into the sand, broke apart, and were ruined by then. Evangeline screamed at her younger sister.

Evangeline: Look what you did to my favorite earrings. You ruined them, Yvonne. I hate you so much, I'll never forgive you for this.

Yvonne was so deeply hurt by what her sister told her. She even ran off in the opposite direction, crying. Yvonne just kept on running away from their house. Mairin grew concerned about her youngest cousin.

Mairin: Shouldn't we try to do something about Yvonne and Evangeline?

Kimberly pondered this. The sisters' arguments never got as bad as that before, but her husband and Alain were waiting for them near the beach house.

Kimberly: I'm sure Evangeline will forget about it, eventually. She always does. Besides, Raymond and your friend, Alain, are waiting for us back at the beach house.

Mairin sighed in defeat. She decided to let her mother take her to console Alain about his fear.

Mairin: Fine, mom. Let's get going back to the beach house. I don't know why you think I can console Alain in any way, at all.
