Yachi eats as she mildly watches Bokuto, Kuroo and Akaashi eats with her. Akaashi kept reminding Bokuto to slow down because no matter how hungry he was, he needs to be careful when consuming food. Bokuto doesn't seem to mind much but he did choke on a rice afterwards, making Akaashi sighed tiredly and poured a drink for him.

Yachi chuckles through her dinner, it was almost comical to watch the trio because they're always so lively. There was never a moment where it was dull with them and Yachi finds herself enjoying every moment with them as time passes by.

"Ah – Yacchan, I was curious about something earlier. How is Megane-kun in the team?" Kuroo started as they were halfway throughout their dinner.

Yachi perked up at this. "Megane-kun? You mean Tsukishima-kun?"

Kuroo nodded. Yachi tilts her head and hums, "He's a well-rounded player. Since he's very calm during the games, he's very helpful when it comes to defense for the team."

Kuroo narrowed his eyes in curiosity, "Is he like…forced to join the volleyball club?"

Yachi blinked her eyes and shook her head at his question. "I don't think so. Even if I joined the team a little late, I know that everyone joins the club in their own will. But…did something happen with Tsukishima-kun?"

Akaashi added, "Kuroo-san said something about how Tsukishima-san is going to be overshadowed by Hinata-kun if he keeps playing the way he is now. He might have landed on a mine making a remark like that to Tsukishima-san because he didn't react positively."

"Oh that's – unfortunate." Yachi frowns at the revelation.

Kuroo sighs and lowered his head in shame, "It was uncalled for, I didn't know he was going to react that way seeing the way he is. I'd probably have to apologize to him later if he gets affected by my words from earlier."

Yachi lowered her chopsticks and started, "Actually, among all the members of our team – I feel like Tsukishima-kun is the only one who seems like he's not enjoying volleyball so far. He's certainly a good player but if he's not motivated enough to improve his skills for the sake of the team…I feel like coach is going to replace him soon."

Which was something that Yachi was worrying about recently. Upon Kiyoko's and Asahi's conversation with her in the past, they mentioned to Yachi on what they noticed about Tsukishima's behavior and mindset towards volleyball in general. It doesn't seem like he was forced into playing but his heart wasn't set fully either.

Unlike Sugawara, Enoshita, Kinoshita and Narita who also trains with all their might during training to improve their skills because they wanted to be part of the regular team in the future – Tsukishima just doesn't look like he had the appeal of wanting to appear in court because he wants to but more because he has to.

"There might be something he has with volleyball personally that affected him in the past but I'm not sure what it could be about." Yachi finishes.

'Maybe I had to talk about this to Captain if this becomes a severe case?' Yachi concluded in her mind.

"If it's something personal then it might take awhile for him to open up about his issues with volleyball. After all, what matters in the end is what makes the team wins." Akaashi added, "It is a common scene to find members who are not motivated enough to win for the team. Unfortunately, those members with that kind of mindset is often to be replaced."

Yachi frowns at the vice-captain's words but couldn't help but agree with it. Despite the harshness of reality, people like Tsukishima gets replaced easily for the games if they don't push for the team. The goal in volleyball is to win after all.

Kuroo poked Yachi's cheek with ease, "Don't worry, Yacchan. I'm sure Megane-kun is going to find his footing sooner or later. In a team like yours, it's hard to keep being demotivated all the time."

"True~ Megane-kun is going to be fine. He's in a team like Karasuno where support is endless. I wouldn't worry too much about it, Yacchan." Bokut spoke through his munches.

Akaashi agreed, sipping on his drink.

Yachi sighed and smiled hopefully, "You're right. I'm sure Tsukishima-kun will be okay."

It was her first time rotating to Shinzen and the members already welcomed her warmly into the team. Captain Ogano was also very kind to Yachi as he told her all the information she needed to know about handling his team.

Perhaps since Yachi was already getting used to the rotation system, supporting Shinzen didn't have that much issue for her. She was able to aid the members and coaches like she did to the other teams. So becoming the manager for Shinzen that day was very enjoyable.

Plus, Yachi was able to learn tidbit of information surrounding the volleyball scene with Shinzen members. As Chigaya happily notified Yachi about their rival schools, he mentioned about the top schools that they had to look out for.

"All I can say is that we keep looking out for the top three aces of the country like Ushijima from Shiratorizawa, Sakusa from Itachiyama, and Kiryu from Mujinazaka. Not only that they're on a whole other level individually, they're able to bring out the best from their teams." Chigaya spoke.

Yachi hums as she tilts her head. She has heard of these names before when she read a volleyball magazine from the time she researched about high school volleyball championship.

"Powerful players not just as an individual but in the team as well, huh. No wonder sports magazines talked about them." Yachi replied.

Chigaya chuckled, "It is not a secret that they're the most looked out player among this nation for high schoolers. Though it might seem impossible to reach them, I believe we're strong enough to face them."

"Have you met any of the members in a match before?"

Chigaya shook his head, "Not really but my senpai did. It was…an experience for them. I heard that Shinzen previously matched against Itachiyama before. It was an exhilarating loss."

"Exhilarating loss?" Yachi was very unfamiliar with the words.

Chigaya laughs lightly, "Let's just say that the loss made us stronger than before."

Yachi nodded, understanding what he meant. Perhaps, losing in a match means that you have more room to push for improvement. As Shinzen is quite skillful with different attacks during play, it is certainly not an easy feat.

Yachi gets it now that Shinzen also came very far for success.

Chigaya perked up, "Ah – but I heard Bokuto-san is friendly with the ace from Itachiyama."

"Really?" Yachi looked to the side where Bokuto was standing. Landing another powerful spike, he laughed boisterously for his scored point. Yachi giggled at the sight, "As expected of Bokuto-san. He's really friendly with everyone."

"Right? Bokuto-san just seems like he'd befriend his rivals during matches." Chigaya added.

Yachi spared some of her time to help with the other managers once they received watermelons from Shinzen members' parents. Since they have a lot of watermelon to cut, Yachi was working very hard to prepare them along with Kiyoko.

By the time they were finished, the watermelons were shared along with the volleyball members and coaches where they can enjoy them on the grassy hill outside of the gym buildings. Since summer was the perfect time to eat watermelons, everyone was having a nice break from the practice to enjoy the delicious treat.

Yachi was responsible for sharing the cut slices of watermelon as well as she gave several to Karasuno members who were drooling for the fresh delicious cold watermelon.

Kageyama came to her again for another, "Can I get one more?"

"Sure." Yachi hands him out a large slice of watermelon.

She sees Tsukishima walking out from the corner of her eyes and called him out since she remembered that he only took one small slice of watermelon.

"Huh? Tsukishima-kun, is one slice enough?"

"Yeah. Thanks for the food." Tsukishima replied without looking back and went ahead.

Yachi hums, growing a little worried again for Tsukishima. He didn't have much appetite in the morning and he also didn't seem like he was doing well during practice. Yachi wonders if something was bothering him recently that got him down with practice.

"Are you not eating one for yourself, Yachi-san?" Kageyama asked.

Yachi looked back to him and nodded, "I had one large slice earlier from Yukie-san so I don't think I can eat more. You can eat as much as you like, Kageyama-kun. We still have some slices left."

"That's okay. I'll eat more later. Thank you, Yachi-san."

"Un. No problem."

Yachi then heard Kaori's voice calling for her in the distance, "Yacchan, can you come here for a second?"

"Yes, senpai!" Yachi answered before she turned back to Kageyama again before she leaves, "Please enjoy your break, Kageyama-kun. You can call for me if you need any help. I'll see you in a bit."

"Okay." He nodded obediently before he watches the blonde girl running towards the Fukurodani manager on the other side.

As Yachi started helping Kaori with cleaning up, Kageyama kept watching her attentively from the distance – not moving an inch. That is until he felt a hand hitting his back that shook him out of his trance.

"What are you doing zoning out like that, Kageyama? You should eat down when you eat." Ennoshita spoke.

"Oh…right." He spoke before he followed his senpai to sit on the bottom of the hill where the rest of Karasuno members were eating. However, Kageyama's eyes can't help but glance back every once in a while to the blonde haired manager as he eats his watermelon.

'She's working hard again today….but she looks like she's having fun.' Kageyama's thoughts wonder as he munched on his sweet watermelon.

The time seems to be moving really fast when she's busy. Yachi's time with Shinzen was over when the official practicing hour ends and she continued her duties as manager to collect all the towels and vests before she went to the laundry room.

She met Kiyoko again at the laundry as the older girl tells Yachi that their team have yet to win any match that day although their skills were drastically improving since everyone was really working hard even in their individual practices.

"Once you're done with this, you should head back and help the team with Free Practice." Kiyoko told Yachi when they're finished with the laundry.

"Are you sure, senpai? Would like for me to help in the kitchen instead?"

"No, I can handle it. I'll call you back if there's anything I need help with."

Yachi nodded, "Okay, senpai."

Yachi hops back to the main gym where she saw everyone getting ready to start with their individual practices for Free Practice hours. Upon entering the gym, she instantly greeted Yamaguchi and Hinata who were closest to the door.

"Hello!" Yachi greeted them both as she passed through the door.

Hinata turned around and greeted back, "Yachi-san, you're here!"

Yachi smiled at him before she looked to Yamaguchi who was looking very still and deep in thought. She started to wonder if something happened to him.

"Are you okay, Yamaguchi?"

The freckled boy suddenly looked up and spoke, "I'll go talk to him right now." Before he sprinted off out of the gym quickly. Yachi was so startled by his behavior and grew concerned once she looked back to him and heard his voice yelling in the distance as he ran off.

"TSUKKI!"

Yachi seemed to froze when she peeked out of the gym doors.

'What was that all about?'

She looked back to Hinata, "Yamaguchi said something in a weird voice as he ran off but I wonder if he's okay."

"Weird voice?" Hinata asked after he drank his bottle.

Imitating the voice she heard, "He went 'TSUKKI!' like that."

Hinata lightly chuckles at her effort, "Oh! So he went to see Tsukishima."

"Did something happened?" Yachi asked worriedly.

Hinata hummed as he played with his ball, "Yeah, he seemed a bit worried about Tsukishima."

"I see." Yachi replied before she peeked her head out of the door again with a concerned gaze. Hinata smiles at her action, seeing how she cares for their friends very much.

"Tsukishima never does anything that's lame. He never fails at tests. He always things like whoosh! And swish!" Hinata said.

Yachi nodded as she walks back inside and faced him, knowing that Hinata meant Tsukishima never does anything not to his liking since he's always diligent so she shouldn't worry much about him.

"Yeah…" She sighed as she looked down.

"So I think he'll be okay." Hinata added before gripping his ball with both of his hands in glimmering expression, "Being good in volleyball or sucking at it, I think it's obvious which one is cooler."

At this moment, both of them saw Yamaguchi coming back.

"Ah – Yamaguchi came back." Yachi noted and they both ran towards the freckled boy.

"Yamaguchi, where is Tsukishima?" Hinata asked as he came closer.

"It looks like he got caught by the Nekoma and Fukurodani captains." Yamaguchi replied.

Hinata went shock by the reply, "What?! I'm so jealous! Maybe I'll go too."

Yamaguchi then began asking, "Hinata, do you think of Tsukki as your rival?"

"Huh? Of course I do!" Hinata exclaimed. By this reply, Yamaguchi seemed shock by Hinata's confession. Hinata continued, "We play the same position and he has everything I don't. But I'm not going to lose to him."

The orange haired boy's face scrunched up into determination before he faced the other way. "Time to practice more! Captain, I'm joining you!" He raced towards the other Karasuno members to join their practice.

Amused by his enthusiasm, Yachi commented towards Yamaguchi. "If Hinata and Tsukishima-kun are rivals, it's like the sun versus the moon."

"Huh?"

"Hi meaning the sun and Tsuki meaning the moon." Yachi explained.

Yamaguchi's eyes brightened, "Yeah, you're right. I hope that happens…"

Author's Notes:

omg i survived

hello everyone, here is another chapter. not so much happening but i hope you like it.

also about the 'Hi' and 'Tsukki' that Yachi mentioned is the reference to their name written in kanji. Since Hinata's kanji for his name is also the sun while Tsukki's kanji is the moon so yeah - that's what she meant.

on to the next chapter :s
