It was so difficult waking up in the next morning. Yachi couldn't stop yawning ever since she opens her eyes. Because of this, Kiyoko laughs whenever she sees Yachi yawning.

"I'm sure you must be pretty tired, are you okay?"

Yachi was caught off guard by the third year manager staring at her. "Yes. Um...I'm sorry."

"Today's the last day so let's do our best."

"Right!"

Kiyoko watched Yachi as the girl hurries to clean up her rolled futon. Despite the late hours Yachi usually gets back to the dorm room, Kiyoko noticed how hard-working Yachi really was during this training camp.

The older girl was relieved that the blonde haired manager was starting to get back on her confidence again with the way she was able to fully support managerial duties on her own even in times where she had to be scheduled with other teams. Karasuno might be the number one in Yachi's heart but Kiyoko would lie to herself if the other managers and teams helped her break out of her shell through this experience.

Meeting Hinata on the way to breakfast certainly brightened her morning. She always feels like she was facing the sun directly whenever she greets him in the early hours. With his energetic aura and his sunshine-like smiles – yes, Hinata Shoyo is certainly the embodiment of the sun.

Then Tsukishima joined them for breakfast and Hinata's cheerful smiles turned into scowls after the taller boy made fun of Hinata's newest catchphrase super awesome-licious!

"What kind of high schooler says super awesome-licious anymore?" Tsukishima lightly sneered through his bites of rice.

Hinata scowls deepens but instead of going off at Tsukishima for too long, he merely huffed and continued to eat his breakfast vigorously. "Whatever. People like you don't appreciate creativity." Tsukishima in return rolled his eyes and sipped his bowl of soup.

"Are you not rotating to us for today, Yachi? I heard that you're assigned elsewhere?" Yamaguchi asked. He was sitting next to Tsukishima in which he was facing directly in the opposite of Yachi, so it was easier for him to talk to her during breakfast time.

Yachi replied instantly, "I'm assigned to Fukurodani today but you'll have Shimizu-senpai to be with you for the rest of the day."

"We also don't have full training today. I wonder why we finish earlier than usual?" Hinata added between his chomps of rice.

According to the other managers, the last week of summer training camps in Tokyo always ends up with a hearty meal so a barbeque is going to be held for big lunch and afterwards the rest of the day was for the people to pack up before the training period officially closes. But since barbecue is a special occasion for the team members, this lunch schedule is being kept as a secret – Yachi probably couldn't spill a bit of this since she wanted to surprise her friends as well.

"Since it's the end of the training camp for summer, we might have a small session to rest before everyone gets back home." Yachi replied soundly before she remembered the invitation she received from the Nekoma members. "Ah – Lev-kun and Inuoka-kun mentioned on going to the local summer festival to watch fireworks show. Are you all coming too?"

With this everyone turned to her instantly and asked, "Summer festival?"

"There is one nearby?" Yamaguchi asked, interested in the topic as he leaned down to his hand on the table.

Yachi nodded, "I've been invited by Lev-kun and Inuoka-kun to go together with them but I heard that we're all free to join as well. I've never watched the firework show here in Tokyo so I'm pretty curious."

"Eh – a firework show? That sounds so fun! You can count me in to join." Hinata stated excitedly.

Kageyama mumbles as he imagines the event, "Tokyo firework show."

"Me too! I've never watched a firework show in Tokyo. I wonder what it's like – must be really extravagant if it's from here. Right, Tsukki?" Yamaguchi nudged to his friend.

Tsukishima shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know. Might look similar to the ones in Miyagi though."

"Eh~ but it's Tokyo, Tsukishima! It could be more super awesome-licious than the ones in Miyagi." Hinata spoke with rounded eyes.

Tsukishima furrowed his eyebrows, "Can you not permanently put those words in your vocabulary?"

"I bet it's going to be super duper awesome-licious! Where else are we going to see something grand together like this?" Hinata declared.

Yamaguchi and Yachi couldn't help but snickered at Hinata's silly rebuttal to Tsukishima with his childish slang. Their breakfast time was filled with Hinata's bickering with Tsukishima this time which was a refreshing slight change from the usual Hinata and Kageyama bickering, much to Tsukishima's patience limit.

As usual, Fukurodani is doing very well. From the notes Shibayama shared earlier to Yachi, Fukurodani kept its first place, meaning that they had won more matches than the other teams. Meanwhile, the rest of the teams seems to come to a conclusion that they must figure something within their game plays in order to catch up to Fukurodani's numbers.

As for the last match before lunch time, Fukurodani was going to go against Karasuno which made all the Fukurodani members let out a drained sigh.

"Eh? What's wrong with going against Karasuno?" Bokuto asked his members who seemed to have a difficult expression once Akaashi told them who their next opponent was.

"They are kind of hard to play against." Konoha replied, wiping his sweat with the towel Yachi handed him few minutes ago.

"Haha! Who knows what they're going to do next. They always come up with new tricks." Komi added.

Sarukui agreed along with him, "That's true. But seeing from their previous matches, I don't think they still have enough energy to – "

A sudden chorus of Karasuno members startled the people nearby as they looked over to see the gang of Tanaka, Nishinoya, Hinata and surprisingly Kageyama dancing along to the lines of 'MEAT MEAT MEAT!'

To make things worse, they even performed a celebratory dance in a circle with their hands above their heads as they stomped their feet to the ground. The Fukurodani members who witnessed this scene couldn't help but raise so many questions at their oddness.

"What the heck…they look scary." Sarukui commented.

Yachi blinked her eyes a few times as she noticed this as well but after hearing the Karasuno boys chanting after 'MEAT IS BLESSING!' she speculated that they might have figured out what came for them at lunch time.

"So much for a surprise, they figure it out pretty quickly." Yachi mumbled to herself as she continued with handling the water bottles.

It didn't take a long time before the coaches eventually call for them to gather up and prepare them for the next match. As Yachi walked behind the Fukurodani members, she also passes by Hinata instantly called out to him.

"Hinata, do your best in the match!" She told him cheerfully.

"Thank you!" Hinata replied in the brighter tone and told her, "I'm going to my best since we're going against Bokuto-san's team!"

It was just in time that Tsukishima passes by them as the taller boy cheekily added in a teasing tone, "I'll be looking forward that super awesome-licious thing then."

Hinata jerked his head at Tsukishima before he bit out, "Just watch, Tsukishima!"

Yachi laughs lightly at their silly banter before she added whimsically as she looked at Karasuno's side of the court. "But…I really want to see that new quick soon."

She had seen Hinata and Kageyama practicing so earnestly at their individual trainings. She knew how difficult the short days were and she knew she can't expect miracle results but still – she really hopes that with their new quick, Hinata and Kageyama can cool down whatever tension is happening between them.

After a few seconds of silence, Hinata spoke out. "Me too."

Yachi looked back at him and smiled. Then Hinata suddenly rushes towards Kageyama who was doing his warm up and said, "Kageyama. I want to hurry up and hit the failing toss quick!"

Yachi felt a little surprised at his sudden direct request. Hinata really discarded subtleness and just head on told Kageyama that he's getting impatient.

Yachi was afraid another fight would break out because she distinctively remembered Kageyama telling Hinata last time that they wouldn't be doing the new quicks any time sooner.

Surprisingly, Kageyama replied to Hinata's direct wishes with his own calm response. "Don't rush it. As long as I'm missing tosses then it won't be any practice for you."

Yachi almost gasped at his answer. That was…unexpectedly mature of Kageyama to respond to Hinata this way. Usually he would yell back at Hinata with his own reasoning that Hinata's not good enough to do quicks that are out of his capabilities but now…he's actually trying to respect Hinata by also doing his part to improve as well so that they can work together with the new quick?

Yachi couldn't help but smile at the revelation. Finally, things were falling back into place again. She now understands that Kageyama himself is trying not just for himself but also for Hinata's sake too. It's also encouraging to know that Hinata, as the spiker, believes that Kageyama is able to master the toss despite its difficulty.

'Was that why they had a fight previously too during the practice match against Nekoma? Because he saw Kageyama hesitate his own credibility? As expected of Hinata, he is very sharp.' Yachi thought deeply. 'It all make sense now.'

Yachi smiles at her friends bickering again. If the gears are going to the right place, then she really hopes that Karasuno can be so much stronger than before.

Despite the difficulty and the tension of the game, Karasuno members were doing very well compared to their previous matches. It is a slow rally but everyone seems to be more flexible with their moves and able to almost successfully use their new tactics that everyone had been practicing. It certainly made Fukurodani stunned, judging by their expressions however they collected themselves and look forward to the next point.

Yachi jotted down the scores and how Fukurodani calmly handled the loss of points from Karasuno's progress.

'Calmly observe opponents' movements despite losing points is also a way to look for a gap to break through.' Yachi wrote down her inspection based on Fukurodani's response from this match.

With Asashi's almost accurate but extremely powerful jump serves, Tsukishima's wonderful blockings, and Nishinoya's new sets – Yachi was in awe of how impressive her team members' skills were getting.

Even Hinata's faint that he did against the blockers, coincidentally Yachi heard that Bokuto taught the orange haired boy himself, surprised everyone the most. Seeing in how he calmly used his head against tall blockers and found a way to get over the ball was a splendid move.

"Y-you used your head? You're gonna get a fever." Kageyama shuffled towards Hinata awkwardly.

Hinata whipped his head towards the setter and balled his fists while glaring at Kageyama, "You are the only person who doesn't get to say stuff like that to me!" He gritted angrily.

Yachi couldn't help but laugh at her friends' antics from the distance when she overheard their conversation.

Throughout the game, Yachi noticed that Kageyama was very calm and collected compared to the others – and seeing it from the side of Fukurodani, it certainly felt like he gives out the same uneasy feeling as the calm before a storm. And no opponents share the same sentiments of facing such players like that. It was a little intimidating.

She doesn't know why but she felt that seeing Karasuno doing pretty well, they might actually see the newest quick soon.

And she did.

In one moment, Kageyama and Hinata seemed to sense that this was the right time do their newest quick. With Hinata already jumping to a high point before the net and Kageyama tosses his ball towards Hinata like a lightning before stopping it right on Hinata's palm –

WOOSH

Yachi's jaw lowered down in a gape as she blinked her eyes to process what just happened before. It was – It was the new quick, wasn't it?! It was the new quick! Kageyama successfully tossed the ball to Hinata with such accuracy that it was able to momentarily stops on Hinata's palm in order for the spiker to smash it.

Absolutely brilliant!

The bubbling feeling of joy and pride started to tumble out of her chest and mouth as she cheered when Karasuno received a point from Hinata's spike. Judging by the commotion around her, it seems that everyone was also in shock from what happened between the two first years of Karasuno team.

What an unbelievable sight to witness such quick!

The said boys were also in shock themselves seeing how they pointed at each other and squabble again to why neither said anything to do the quick but yet they already did it?!

"Why didn't you say that you want to do it, idiot!" Kageyama yelled at Hinata.

"But the timing felt right! And we actually did it! Woahhh! Kageyama, you're really cool! You're amazing! It was so awesome!" Hinata jumps on his feet in excitement.

Kageyama who isn't used to receive compliments from Hinata suddenly felt awkward as he had no words to retort back. "Wha…you dumbass…"

"Awesome! It was so awesome!"

Yachi couldn't help but laugh at the sight. With overwhelming pride and all the flutters inside her chest, she yells towards them as she jumps on her giddy feet, "You did it! Nice kill, Hinata! Kageyama-kun!"

'Finally after weeks! Ever since that fight, Hinata and Kageyama-kun stopped talking to each other. But both of them worked hard on improving. And now, the weird duo is back again!' Yachi's mind filled with joy as she looked at the two boys.

Hinata and Kageyama looked towards her and perked up at her cheer. Hinata waved happily and mouthed towards her "We did it!" while Kageyama smiled with an expression of delight at seeing her joy.

The two boys then send a peace sign pose unexpectedly towards her, perhaps signaling to her that they're on good terms now. Yachi couldn't help but laugh. Her chest finally felt lighter and the heaviness on her shoulder slowly disappears.

Author's Notes:
Hello everyone!

First of all, I would like to apologize for the sudden hiatus. It's been three months already and I'm very sorry for the lack of updates. It's just, I've been super busy and life had some issues. I lost some of my relatives and I didn't have the energy to write down this fic before. It has been a difficult time but I hope you all can understand. Once again, very sorry for the sudden hiatus from before.

Second, I'm finally able to update this fic again. Like I said before, I will not abandon this story. It might take some time for me to update the story because of my schedule but I will manage to continue this story as planned. But another reminder for everyone, it will take some time for me to update so I can't promise fast updates like before.

Third, we can finally talk about the story haha - so this is another bridge chapter. I'm currently revising the next chapters so I hope that the plot can be exciting enough to read haha. Not so much sweet fluff but enough will do hehe. It's been so long that I'm terrified that I can't write this fic properly again. I really hope that my writing skills isn't gone or disappearing or else I will cry a river haha.

Yachi is still doing her best. The training camp is going to end soon and then chaos will come (?) idk haha I don't want to leave so much spoilers (I already did which is hhhhh my fault lol). I hope everyone can enjoy this story again. I won't be surprised if people drop this story because I've been in such a long hiatus lol but for the rest of you who stayed, thank you very much for reading this story!

Your comments, likes, and reviews encourage me a lot in my writing. Thank you for being amazing readers, everyone :')
