"Lucy, these are my friends Sango, Miroku, and Shippo. They're going to be with us on our journey." Kagome introduced Lucy to a woman around Kagome's age and a male that looked to be somewhat around the same age as herself as well as a small child with bright orange hair. He looked so cute! "Nice to meet you both, my names Lucy."

Sango and the kid stared at Kagome confused "Kagome I didn't know you could bring people from your time here." Kagome laughed nervously looking away "Well I wasn't sure and Lucy well…" Lucy snickered at Kagome's expression. "I jumped in with her seeing if it would work or not. Turns out it did...Hey uh Miroku?"

"Hmm?" The Monk had a kind smile on his handsome face "As cute as you are, I'm going to have to ask you to please remove your hand from my ass." she plucked the hand from her ass holding the fabric in between her thumb and pointer finger.

Miroku grinned down at the girl so she thought he was cute hmm? He could work with that. Quickly grasping both her hands in his own he made sure to put the charm on. "Forgive me Lady Lucy, I mean not to upset you. You see I do not have long to live and…"

"Are you really giving me the I have four months to live line?" Sango smacked the back of Miroku's head annoyed crossing her arms over her chest angered by her...whatever they were. Slowly switching their positions of their hands so that Lucy was holding Miroku's. "Listen Miroku, Kagome already gave me the story of what Naraku has done to you and your family. But trying to sleep with me ain't gonna happen. I don't like friends with benefits."

Kagome and Sango gave the monk a glare both slapping him across the face. You could practically see the vein popping out of their heads. "I'm guessing this isn't the first time?"

The little boy jumped closer to Lucy grabbing her hand in his tiny ones "Miroku's a big womanizer so it's nothing new. If you want you can just smack him like Kagome or Sango." Lucy squatted down smiling at the kid. "I'll keep that in mind, though my smacks are more for dramatic effect." The kid looked at her confused before moving over to his mother figure.

"Lucy has always been a bit on the dramatic side ever since we were kids." Lucy giggled smiling to herself. "I can be dramatic sometimes but it's fun. It can lighten the mood or it can be just dumb enough to crack a smile."Inuyasha scoffed. "So if you don't mind me asking Lady Lucy, do you have any skill in weaponry?" Miroku spoke up, guiding everyone to speak inside the hut with Kaede. Lucy scratched her cheek sitting beside her cousin and Shippo.

Did she have any skills in weaponry? "I was a pretty good shot with my rifle back home, and I can do okay with a knife if it calls to it but I'm a fast learner." Miroku, Sango, and Inuyasha glance at one another. "If we are to travel together then you should know that we will most likely be attacked by demons."

Lucy nodded in understanding "I understand, I'll do my best not to slow you down but I won't sit back and see my cousin go off likely to her death. I'm willing to risk my life in order to protect my family." she spoke calmly staring at the ground "Not that I don't trust you guys or anything but I don't want to lose another member of my family."

Kagome reached over, placing a hand over Lucy's. "There was another reason Lucy moved to Japan. When I went home last week my mom took us to pick Lucy up...on the way she told me that…" She wasn't sure if she was the one to tell them. Glancing over she saw the pained face on her cousin.

"It doesn't matter. What matters is I won't risk losing my little cousin." Miroku nodded. "Understandable, Sango if you're alright with it, I believe you would be best to train Lady Lucy in battle."

Sango smiled at the older girl "Of course it shouldn't be a problem. Is there a specific style you would like to do?" Lucy grinned again staring at the younger woman "Actually if you could help me a little on my hand to hand combat as well as swordsmanship that would be amazing."

"Then it's settled, we'll work on both before we leave. We can start tomorrow if you'd like."

"Thank you Sango I really appreciate it." Kaede, the woman who lived in the hut they were staying at was a kind old woman and started getting to work on a stew. It went by pretty slow after that. Inuyasha was still bitchy toward Lucy after her threat from earlier and refused to enter the hut until dinner was ready. Everyone told her to ignore him and that he'd get over it eventually.

Lucy pulled out one of the four books she brought with her. It wasn't anything special. Just the Hobbit and the continuing three books. Lucy always told herself that if she ever went on some major adventure she'd always bring her favorite series with her. And of course Lord of the Rings was her favorite. After all, one of her tattoos was dedicated to the series. Shippo glanced up at the book in the older woman's hands confused. He couldn't read what it said, it was written in some strange language.

"Hmm?" Lucy glanced at the boy. "What's that you're reading?" smiling softly at the boy Lucy closed her bookmarking the page she was on. "It's one of my favorites, it's called the Hobbit." she reached back affectionately touching the back of her neck.

"Whats a hobbit?"

Giggling to herself Lucy laughed at the boy "Well a Hobbit is halfling, they're actually a little taller than you. They're small with large feet. They like to farm and live peaceful lives, eat about seven times a day, Bilbo one of the characters was one of the few adventuring hobbits." she briefly explained. "Why's that?"

"Well they have their own way of life. They're just happy farmers."

Shippo still looked confused "But why is there a story about them? Whats it about?" He jumped in her lap looking on the cover of the story seeing a tree. "Want to

It was early in the morning when Sango woke Lucy up from her deep sleep. The woman jolted away looking around. Sango watched the girl's eyes widen in fear before recognition filled her. "Morning...what time is it?" she sounded groggy as she slowly sat up. Everyone was still asleep besides the little two tailed kitten sitting on Sango's shoulder.

"Still early. I figured it would be best to start our training." Nodding her head Lucy stretched her arms above her head as she moved out of her sleeping bag. She'd pack everything when she gets back. Sango led them to a smaller clearing outside the village. "So I figured we'd start out with swords and mix in some hand to hand."

Lucy nodded taking hold of one of the swords she brought out. The younger showed her the proper stance and the two started. Sango started easy at first waiting till Lucy got the hang of her weapon before adding in physical attacks. Sango's movements started getting quicker and stronger where Lucy felt like she was being backed into a corner.

Lucy felt like her body was on fire, her muscles were begging to stop and from the jabs Sango gave she didn't realize just how strong the younger girl was. "I think that should be good for today."

Sango didn't even look like she broke a sweat while Lucy was laying down on her back panting and moaning "Okay…"

"You're really giving up that easily? That was pathetic!" Squinting her eyes at the white haired male Lucy wasn't sure if she was actually seeing him at first. "Inuyasha!" Sango scolded at the male.

"What?! We aren't staying here forever! We need to go soon and I don't want this idiot slowing us down or getting us killed!" Sitting up Lucy glared at the male "You know what, fuck it. Bring it puppy!" Lucy forced herself to stand on wobbly legs. She'd show this jerk.

"Who the hell do you think you are?"

"I think I'm Lucy O'Riley now bring it!" Inuyasha rolled his eyes at the girl in front of her, did she honestly think she was fit enough to take him on? "You got a death wish or something?"

"Yep now bring it dog breath!"

Inuyasha ran at lightning speed attacking her head on with his claws. Dropping her sword Lucy ducked aside avoiding his attack. He didn't give her anytime to recover, he quickly sent another wave of attacks trying to knock her off her feet. Lucy felt the ground dig into her skin, growling to herself she rolled out of the way. Throwing her foot up she felt it connect with the man's stomach.

It gave her enough time to get back on her feet, getting back into a proper fighting stance. Inuyasha was fast, faster than she expected. She didn't know if he was going slower for her aid or if he was actually that fast. Lucy wasn't expecint him to kick her feet out from under her having her pinned to the ground by her throat.

"Don't give me this kinky shit! I'm trying to get better, not be turned on!" Inuyasha quickly removed his hand, stepping back a few feet and a slight blush on his face. Taking a breath Lucy rolled back to her feet. "You're really annoying, you know that?"

The girl grinned happily that he would say that. After all she loved annoying all her friends back home. "Yeah, I know." Inuyasha nodded before lunging forward. Lucy blocked Inuyasha's attack with her left arm aiming to throw a punch at the half demon's throat, anything to try and get the upper hand. Unfortunately Inuyasha had much more experience training than she did. All her back alley fights back home did little to nothing to help her against a half demon.

That's how it happened. Inuyasha would send wave after wave of attacks till Lucy couldn't take it anymore. Her body was begging to stop but she had to prove that she was tougher than she looked!

"We;re done here."

"Fuck you! I can keep going!" Lucy growled stumbling over her feet as she shot after the half demon. Inuyasha easily avoided her hit and watched her fall to the ground. She let out some curses under her breath. "Lucy you shouldn't push yourself." Sango spoke softly kneeling down beside the red haired girl.

She placed a comforting hand on the girl's back "You need your body to rest." Lucy's arms shook as she tried to push herself up. "No. I'm not weak...I can, I can kick his ass!" Scoffing Inuysha leaned down, punching hard on the girl's head. "Stop being an idiot!"

"...Asshat…" her vision went black and that's all she remembered.

Okay long chapter or that's all I can think of right now. Hope you like this chapter! Sorry I wasn't able to update the last couple weeks. Got really busy with a funeral and work.
