A/n: Somehow I figured out why the format at the end of the story on AO3 was wrong. It took me a while but I finally fixed it as well as posted chapter 23 of this story on Wattpad and AO3 just to get it out there. Who knew that this story is so popular. Thank you guys so much for liking this story.

So for those of you asking me why am I putting the dinosaurs on Isla Sorna instead of back on Isla Nublar well this is your answer. So stay tuned and remember to please, please leave a review and no BASHINGS, LORE MONGERS OR FLAMES PLEASE!

Alan's Dinosaurs

Chapter 38: Remodeling Isla Sorna

ON THE HIGH SEAS

Alan flew over the ocean with Sarah. The feeling of being in the sky again thrilled him as the pteranodon did a barrel roll just for the hell of it. Laughing Alan was glad he had a string attached to his hat to keep it on.

"Easy girl I know you are excited to be out again with me." he said to her and she gave a thrill to show how happy she is. Laughing Alan patted her side which he felt ripple with his movements.

It taken him a day longer to get back in the air because after the ship left the weather had turned bad. So thankfully the ship was more equipped to deal with bad weather. He was not to sure about the dinosaurs though. Thankfully his dinosaurs are used to traveling in rough weather. Rexy and Junior on the other hand had to be tranquilized until he can get them used to it. Who knows what will happen when things get bad.

Thankfully the bad weather only lasted for the night before moving further inland. In the early hours of the morning he was off with Sarah. The ocean breeze helped the pterosaur to stay in the air. It took about three hours till he finally spotted the ship below him. When he did he was in for a sight as Terry and Iggy greeted them with a huge splash.

And boy did Terry grow HUGE.

The Mosasaurus had outgrown her normal size in a few months and from her size alone she was about the size of a humpback whale calf. Now it is four times its size.

He was impressed by how fast they grew. Iggy on the other hand was about the size of a bottle nose dolphin. Now it is about the size of an orca larger then any on fossil record.

Both of them were keeping up with the ship rather easily. If he had to guess about Terry she would be bigger in about a year.

He signaled to Sarah to begin her descent and the Pteranodon complied. Dipping her wings she plummeted towards the ship and the ocean below. Letting out a shriek she opened her wings at the last minute to allow the wind to slow down her descent. When she was level with the water again she playfully nipped Terry who complied with trying to nip her back. All she gotten was a splash. Laughing Alan missed days like this when he would play with his animals. Iggy proved she was the dolphin of the Jurassic Period when she cleared the surface and did a back flip before landing in the water again. The Opthalmosaurus was more then happy to remind Alan that she was also here. Laughing he leaned forward on the straps to stick his hand in the water. He then stroked Terry who was directly under him.

Sarah then veered upwards to avoid a large swell as she made her way towards the deck of the ship. The wind letting her rise till she was level with the deck before shrieking.

Alan could see movement as people ran away to make way for him and Sarah. The large deck with the massive reinforced doors let him feel safe when Sarah landed. Getting off of the pteranodon he unstrapped her of her riding straps to let her go free. The pterosaur took off to find food. Turning around with a wide smile he greeted Jose who walked onto the deck to greet Alan.

"Doctor Grant welcome aboard!" he said to him.

"Permission to come aboard," Alan replied laughing and the man only acknowledged him with a hug.

"Permission granted señor Grant," Jose replied to him. Laughing Alan shook his hand and patted his arm in a friendly manner.

"Is everyone here?" he said to Jose and the man nodded, "Si they are all here and waiting for you," he said to Alan. Then movement was made in one of the bags Alan had pulled from Sarah and Frankie came out. The Archeopteryx was upset and to show that displeasure he played the theme song for jaws. Except his mimicry had gotten a lot better.

"Don't you dare Frankie," Alan said to him and the Archeopteryx went on to leave a smelly mess all over Alan's shirt. Sighing at the antics Alan looked down at the vomit that Frankie left on his now ruined shirt.

"We have spare clothes waiting for you below deck. You can get cleaned up and then meet us at the mess hall," Jose said and Alan thanked him before heading below deck to settle Frankie with the others.

The cargo hold has three main entrances where they load either dinosaurs or cargo or both. One small entrance for the humans to go through is through the main Accommodation section of the ship another larger entrance is on the Port side for heavier items to off load. The third is on the Deck this are mainly used for large dinosaurs such as sauropods and other herbivores. Alan used the human entrance on the side of the Accommodation which is near the rear of the ship. When he opened the door he saw that all the dinosaurs in the cargo holds are being held down by harnesses. Rexy and Junior are sleeping off their tranquilizers while his dinosaurs are snoozing. He could tell they were not tranquilized just relaxing during a rough journey.

"Hey guys," he said to them and his dinosaurs showed their interest when he came down with Frankie. Alan knew that the little rascal would cause trouble so he had a specially made cage just for him.

"You in there now!" he said pointing to the cage. Frankie tried to fly off but Alan was faster and grabbed him. He then held his snout and wrapped his arms around his body locking his wings in place and using the same arm held his talons with his hands. He then placed Frankie into the cage and locked it with a padlock. This one did not have a combination number because Frankie would remember the combo. Instead Alan used an old fashioned key for the lock to keep Frankie from figuring it out. The archeopteryx was not happy but Alan could care less.

"You be good you little shit. I will be back later to let you out," he said to him as Frankie squawked his displeasure going so far as to imitate the Jaws theme again. He even when on to imitate several dinosaurs including Rosco. Rosco having known Frankies antics ignored him. Rexy and Junior remained asleep. Alan closed the door on the dinosaurs as he made his way up the cargo hold. When he passed a few concerned crewmen he informed them that Frankie is not to be disturbed.

They promised to pass along the information as they quickly left. Alan then made his way towards the crew quarters where he took a shower after being shown to his room. Then he made his way towards the captain's office where the rest of the group are waiting for him.

When he entered the door Robert was already standing behind the desk taking charge. This is where the Kenyan's expertise comes into play. Robert knows how to run game preserves and he knows how to administrate them. Alan knows dinosaurs best, so both of them decided to co-charge this operation of theirs. Nima's expertise is on the different indigenous groups that once lived in the island chain so her translation skills comes in handy. She also has contacts within the Costa Riccan Government and she works for the Costa Riccan equivalent to the C.I.A. Jose knows the oceans around the islands and he knows how to navigate the different waterways of Isla Sorna and the rest of the archipelago. Henry knows Genetics so he along with Gerry and Cindy can work with the animals directly. Gerry knows the animal's health problems the best and know how to treat them. Cindy is good with diseases and ways to cure them. Currently she is on the mainland still distributing the cure for the DX virus. Ray knows computers and engineering his expertise comes in handy with security and if Alan had his way he can ask Ray to hire an old student of his for help with the redesigning of the Isla Sorna facilities. If Ellie were here her expertise on paleo plants can help with the dinosaur's diets especially herbivores. Some of the plants here are within her expertise. But she is not here so Alan trusts the records that are in InGen's database to help with identifying the plants before he sends them to Ellie back in the U.S.

"So now that we are all here we can finally get this meeting started," Robert said as he pulled out the map of Isla Sorna.

"So right now we are heading to Isla Sorna to settle things here with the DX virus. Mr. Hammond wants that virus and all traces of it gone from the animals as well as insure that no other humans go off carrying the disease. Cindy and Ian are staying on the mainland to carry that part of the plan out. The rest of us are in charge of getting Isla Sorna operational again." Robert said to them.

"What about Nublar? Jurassic Park?" Gerry asked concerned for the well being of the animals.

"Jurassic Park is a bust. InGen is pulling out and the animals there are or were scheduled to be destroyed." Robert said to them and he was met with a few gasps especially from Alan and Henry.

"So they are going to kill off all the animals just like that? Trying to play God when all it does is lead to more destruction," Alan said plainly a growl in his voice.

"I said, 'were' going to destroy the animals." Robert said.

"So why the 'were' and not the 'are'?" asked Ray giving the former game warden a critical look.

"Look I am not in favor of destroying the animals. They are unique and cost a lot of money to create. So why the fuck are we killing them off. So I convinced Hammond to move them here to Sorna where they are kept safe and there is plenty of room for them to multiply. It is a good thing that Jurassic Park is equipped to transport them here to Sorna," said Robert.

"How are they going to get them to Sorna?" Alan asked Robert.

"They have transport ships designed specifically for the dinosaurs so all the dinosaurs should be able to fit onto those ships and transported here along with specialized helicopters. Hammond's famous saying goes in those areas," said Robert.

"Why did he create them?" asked Nima.

"He created them for the need to have faster transport from Sorna to Nublar. That way if Nublar needed an animal it can get them faster. So now they have to transport them here. If they are smart we should be able to get them with two to three weeks." Robert replied.

That gotten everyone's attention, "Two to three weeks?" Alan said to him.

"Yes, that is if the old crew is coming back," Robert replied.

"Are you going to supervise them?" Ray asked him and Robert shook his head, "Mr. Hammond wants me in charge of Isla Sorna. What I have is a team that will make it into what Mr. Hammond wants: a biological preserve instead of a theme park. The initial plan was for this to be a preserve in the first place. But the board of directors wanted to turn it into a theme park so they could make money." Robert replied.

"And it all comes down to greed," said Ray as he exhaled wishing he had a cigarette with him. Instead he has to rely on both patches and gum to settle his cravings. But the idea of holding one is appealing.

"So they wanted to destroy the dinosaurs if the park fails how are they going to do that?" Nima asked.

"They wanted to bomb the island with napalm. The government of Costa Ricca is well aware of Jurassic Park and should anything happen then they were to bomb the island and wipe out the dinosaurs and the plants. What they never realized is that we have a plan B or a site B; Isla Sorna. That is why InGen bought all five of the five deaths to keep people out. Isla Sorna was ideal for our breeding facilities and so they were built there. Isla Nublar was our front and Isla Sorna was the back. Both of them make up Jurassic Park," Ray finished and leaned back on his chair.

"Thank you Ray, Now then since Isla Sorna is now the main island with Isla Nublar soon to be emptied of dinosaurs, even the new ones, we need to prepare for their arrival. First off we need a pen to quarantine them until the animals are vaccinated for DX and the animals on Sorna are also either vaccinated or treated. We can't let the virus get out of control there," Robert said to them and Gerry nodded knowing that part was up to him.

"Gerry you will be in charge of dealing with those aspects that were spoken. You along with Dr. Grant will coordinate a team to deal with any incoming dinosaurs both from Nublar and from the mainland. We need those facilities ready at all times. So that is why the Embryonic's building would be perfect for them." Robert said showing them where the building is on the map.

"But the worker village is too far away to be of use if we have to get someone there," said Henry as he looked down on the map.

"We are going to move the worker village closer to the Embryonic's building. Since that building is also the administration building we can move Operations there as well. That way it would give us immediate access to the facilities in case we need it. The old site would be constructed into an outpost. The docking facilities would be taken down and moved to the new site. The good thing is about this area is that the reef here acts as a barrier against any storms that should make its way to the island. The water is deep enough here for the ships and the bay large enough to provide natural protection. So in case a hurricane does hit the island it would be protected," Robert said to Ray and the other man nodded his head.

"What about the animals that are currently on the island how do you monitor them?" Alan asked Robert as he and Nima wanted to know what was going on.

"There are motion sensors throughout the island. Each dinosaur that passes a sensor sends off a signal to any one of the towers situated around the island and it gets relayed back to Operations and Administration. They can monitor the animals and ensure population control. Since the animals started breeding I figure we can reconfigure the sensors to monitor individual species to keep track of how man new animals are born on the island." Ray said to them.

"Perhaps we can start using the new tech that is going around," said Gerry and they turned their attention to him.

"Animal researchers use cameras attached to motion sensors to either take photos or video of the animals they are monitoring. Each time the sensors go off it records the animals and we can see for ourselves which animals crosses where and when and study them from a distance. That way we can prevent loss of life and know when to go out and see for ourselves if an animal is sick. We can also look out for new animals that appear because of breeding," Gerry replied.

"What will we do with the new animals?" asked Henry he was curious to see what he can do.

"We can tag them with visual id's that way we will know who is who and without disturbing them," said Alan. That is when Gerry's eyes lit up, "Just like whales or sharks!" he said and again Alan nodded.

"That's a good idea Dr. Grant. Back in Kenya we did the same for lions and other game animals but never with cameras before. We used to do it the old fashioned way. So changing the subject we need a team to do the actual construction," said Robert.

"Already got that covered," said Ray smirking, "I've had the maintenance team coming back here instead of Nublar. They and the Sorna team are going to help with construction needs all paid for by Hammond. He stated that since I am in charge of that aspect I can pick anyone I want. And one of them is an old acquaintance of yours Dr. Grant." When Ray said this Alan's eyes lit up when he mentioned someone to help with construction.

"You've asked my old student didn't you?" he said to him and Ray nodded in reply a smirk on his face.

"Um can you include us in your little secret?" asked Robert.

"I have a former student who has helped me design my home back in Montana. Ray had just hired him to help design the worker village so that way we can train the new line of workers to help us with dealing with the dinosaurs," Alan replied.

"Who is this person?" asked Nima unsure of who to trust.

"His name is Mathias Parker, he's a former student of mine that helped with building my home and allowed my animals freedom to roam my property without fences. If anyone can help with reconstruction then he can," Alan said to Ray and the African American smirked. "Glad to hear it."

"If we are going to do this then after Mr. Hammond's work is done we are on our own. How are we going to deal with finances?" asked Nima.

"Thankfully Mr. Hammond provided us with a means to govern ourselves. Cabot Fitch is going to be joining us within a month's time. Cabot is an intern that was working directly with Mr. Hammond. Cabot's mother is one of the sponsors for Jurassic Park and one of its share holders. Since InGen is pulling out she was the one who pitched to Mr. Hammond to use site B as a means to hold the dinosaurs there since it has the facilities for it. So Mr. Hammond agreed to do so by allowing her son Cabot to help out with the finances. The man's a genius with money that is why we were able to procure the funds to build the facilities and actually grow the dinosaurs. I even pitched a few ideas before the park went down and he was going to see about getting the estimates to me. But now that he is coming I am all good with it," said Ray.

"This Cabot guy, he is not one of those snotty kind of people is he?" said Alan because he is tired of dealing with those sorts of people.

"No, actually he is pretty cool and very direct sort of person," replied Ray and even Henry nodded at this point agreeing with Ray since the labs on Isla Nublar are directly across from the control room.

"Henry these facilities on Sorna do they have the things you will need to conduct your research?" asked Robert knowing full well what Henry will be researching.

"Yes, I checked them when we were there last. The lab is fully equipped thought I will have to sterilize it again since those men had been in there," Henry explained. The others agreed with him.

"So what are we going to do about the wild dinosaurs?" asked Nima.

"Well Jose, Henry and I have that part covered," said Alan looking at the boat captain.

"Me?" he said surprised.

"How long have you known Iggy and Terry?" he asked him and the man shrugged, "Since they escaped from Nublar why?" Jose asked.

"You are in charge of them. Have you tried to establish some sort of relationship with them?" Alan asked Jose.

"Well...we did go fishing together off the coast. Introduced them to squid and deep sea fish if that is what you've been asking. The big one Terry is it? She likes turtles too and Costa Ricca loves turtles and even sharks. The smaller one primarily feeds on squid and fish though," he said to them.

"Well that is good," Alan said to him.

"Why is that good?" Jose asked him, "The turtles are endangered and the sharks...well they are a tourist attraction. Jose said to him.

"Mosasaurus are known throughout the fossil records to naturally feed on turtles, sharks and fish. Because cephalopods such as squids, octopus and any animal along that category. There are a few species that are from their era so I would not be surprise that either one of them feeds on them. As long as they don't kill humans it is a good thing," Alan replied.

"Aren't they trained too?" asked Robert.

"Yeah from what I saw they are fully trained. Jose it is also your job to keep them trained. Iggy and Terry might get a bit bigger mainly Terry but as long as you keep that attention on them they will be docile," Alan replied to him.

"What else do I do with them?" asked Jose.

"Groom them," Alan replied.

"Groom them?" Jose asked.

"Yes, you know go with a scrubber to clean them off. Just don't use soap. The act of giving them a scratch helps them with loose skin and parasites. Mosasaurs are descendants of monitor lizards so they might still shed their skins. Icthyosaurs on the other hand are still reptiles but I don't know if they shed or not. You might try it on Iggy too." Alan suggested for Jose and the man nodded in understanding.

"Bond with them like you would do with your dog," said Nima and repeated it in Spanish for the first mate since she and Jose had taken to translating for the man since he could not speak English.

"Alright since we got the aquatics done we can move on to dealing with the Aviary on Sorna," said Robert and showed an area circled with the word Aviary on it.

"You have more pterosaurs here too?" asked Alan.

"These are not like those on Nublar. They are a mutant variation that has shown some aggression because their genes had been screwed up. These pteranodons have teeth when they shouldn't and at most they are slightly smaller then Sarah. Though I am surprised that your pteranodon is that big at all," said Henry.

"What about the ones coming in from Nublar? How do they factor with these ones?" asked Alan.

"The Nublar pteranodons are less aggressive and are more in size to their natural fossil records. However when I saw your pteranodon I thought at first she was one of the Sorna species that somehow made it to Nublar," Robert said to Alan.

"Well glad Sarah is not one of them," Alan stated.

"But you did give me an idea on how we can properly deal with them," Robert replied as he sat down in the chair behind the desk. The looked over at the map and found something there and he pointed his finger.

"Alright we can go here on the opposite side of the cliff here so that way the can interact with the more aggressive larger ones but at the same time have a barrier in place for their protection," Robert replied to them.

"Ok that is good and we obviously got the Tyrannosaurs. What about the other carnivores like the Titanoboa and the Sarcosuchus?" asked Alan.

"Those two we can put near the deep channel which at the heart of the island. The area there is warm and swampy enough and at the same time the inlets and watering areas are perfect for the old croc to find a descent size prey," Robert replied.

"The Croc and the Snake. So that leaves the herds and the livestock. Don't get me started on Peepers!" Ray said remembering the pesky compy.

"Alright I know they will kill the troodons since those were supposed to be euthanized. But the others… ok we need to get this place to work. Cindy has us covered as far as diseases go, Henry, Gerry, we will need your help with maintaining animal health. Ray you, Nima and Mathias when he gets here are in charge of the security and design. Cabot when he gets here will be in charge of finances and InGen affairs. Nima you are also in charge of relations with the people of this island and the Costa Riccan Government since you know them best. Jose you will be in charge of marine activities. So that means anything that happens at sea falls to you, that includes Terry and Iggy. Alan and I will be in charge of making sure everything is running smoothly, in other words we are in charge. Since I know how to run game preserves back in Africa this will be just as much a challenge as it was before. Alan knows dinosaurs, and with his expertise we can get this place up and running the way is was supposed to." Robert said.

The others looked determined but ready for whatever happened as they started the initial planning of the preserve. From where things are going to how much is it going to be. The conclusion for it though was that they needed a way to stay funded after Hammond and Cabot's mother pull out. And that is where things started to go a little out the window as far as ideas. But it was decided in the end to open Isla Sorna up for tourists. But they have to sign a waiver before visiting the island to protect them from lawsuits. Cabot was in charge along with Ray. But when the meeting was done six hours later and by then food was served along with a drinks. When it was finally done everyone settled into bed while Jose went up to the bridge to check on things.

NEXT MORNING

Things were going a bit more smoothly then what happened in the meeting. However Alan walked onto the deck to see Gerry there looking over the ocean at a distance. Next to him was Sarah who was busy preening herself.

Nico and Spitz were led out of their holding pens to bask in the sunlight. Rosco was busy grooming himself with Frankie helping pick out the parasites. As he stepped up further he put his hand on Gerry shoulder's startling the man.

"Is everything alright Gerry?" asked Alan. The man sighed as he turned back around to stare into the ocean. "I am worried about Jessie. Her mother contacted me last night to tell me the girl still has issues in dealing with nightmares of the island. What Nedry nearly did to her was horrible and if I saw that guy I would let Spitz kill him again. He deserved to die," Gerry replied as he looked over the waters.

"Jessie told me what happened. I was there afterwards but no person deserves that," Alan said to Gerry.

Gerry sighed, "I wish I was there to help her Alan. She is only fourteen and doesn't need to go through with this shit. But I am here and not there. I am not allowed anywhere near their home. Her mother had forbidden it and she doesn't want to speak with me ever." he looked disheartened.

"Does it have to do with the island?" asked Alan and when Gerry looked at him confused he clarified, "The divorce? The reason why you are not with your wife anymore?" Alan replied.

Gerry shook his head, "No I was divorced long before I came to Jurassic Park. Amanda...well Jessie was two when we split. I caught Amanda cheating on me from across the street with the neighbor. I took a DNA sample as well as mine to make sure Jessie was my daughter. When it was positive that she was mine I sent child support when Amanda wanted a divorce. She...never loved me the way I wanted her to Alan. She only cared about herself and the thrill she has with dealing with adventure. Jessie and her don't get along and neither does Sarah my eldest." Gerry replied to him.

"Why don't they get along? I mean Jessie told me why she was sent to you in the first place but why is she still with her mother?" Alan asked not that he minded being nosy it is just that this is a friend who needed some help.

"Well...that was my fault. I tried to get custody of her, but she won the case and got custody. But whenever Jessie screws up it was always blamed on me. Then when I finally gotten to have Jessie without supervision this happens," Gerry said and Alan could pity the guy. He had students who had similar problems before so he just leaned on the rail to show Gerry that they were in this together.

Just then he felt the ground vibrating as heavy footsteps walked right up to them. Then Rosco shoved his mug right on top of Gerry. His drool landed right on the man's head. Alan could not help it and threw his head back and started laughing. Outraged Gerry glared at the large carnivore who gave an innocent look.

"Rosco really?" Gerry said to him and the large carnivore only snorted covering him further in snot. Alan could not help it as he held his gut with tears coming down his face.

"What is going….Gerry?" said Ray as he and Henry came out to see what the fuss was about. Then as one they both started laughing when Rosco nudged at Gerry demanding attention.

"Really? You are going to be obnoxious after all this?" Gerry said to the large T-Rex.

To put the crème on the pie Rosco made a strange gurgling sound before something fowl landed right on Gerry the large animal opened his mouth. Now Gerry was completely covered in not only drool but vomit and snot. By now everyone on deck was laughing with some falling over at the sight. Rosco then went over to Alan demanding attention only to have Alan pat the animal on the head.

"Alan Grant did you do this on purpose," Gerry said while trying to keep anything gross from getting into his mouth.

"Nope that was all him. Don't worry he does that to me too," Alan replied as he patted Rosco on the head, "By the way who let them out?" asked Alan.

"Oh that would be me," said a new voice and a young man came out from the hold. He wore cargo pants with a khaki tank top and an army hair cut. Both Nico and Spitz rose up and sent low threatening hisses which made the man nervous until Alan held up his hand commanding them back into the hold.

"Alright big guy back down you go you know the drill," Alan said to Rosco and the T-Rex refused to go only Alan made a low growl in his voice leaving no questions. The large carnivore eventually went back into the hold and the door was shut again. He thanked the stars that Tank never gotten out or that would be bad.

"And what do I owe you for freeing my animals?" Alan said amused.

"Nothing, they just came out on their own and surprisingly didn't destroy anything like I thought they would. So much for sabotage," the man said sheepishly.

"My animals are used to traveling so they know how to behave on a boat," Alan said dryly.

"Who are you?" asked Gerry sounding annoyed.

"Nick Van Owen, photographer for Greenpeace. Thought these animals were being transported for sale in the exotic pet trade. Didn't know that I was dealing with dinosaurs and that they belonged to the famous Dr. Alan Grant," the man said holding out his arm. Alan shook it as they watched Gerry heading back below deck to clean up without saying anything. He was still a bit upset by the prank that Rosco did to him. Alan shook his head as he watched and Nick gave a confused look.

"Let's just say that my dinosaurs sometimes like to pull shit like this especially Frankie. You didn't release him did you?" he asked Nick and the man shook his head.

"Never gotten to that point. The female T-Rex I decided to leave alone along with the little one but the others looked like they wanted out," Nick replied and Alan sighed, "They normally get breaks to exercise and have their transports cleaned. What brought you here Greenpeace, are you part of Jose's crew?" Alan asked.

Before Nick could reply someone started laughing as they came out from below deck, "Well if it isn't Nick Van Owen himself," said the voice and Robert came out onto the deck having heard the commotion.

"Robert Muldoon? The Robert Muldoon I've heard so much about you," Nick said looking excited. Robert sighed as he glared at Nick.

"And I've heard so much about you Mr. Van Owen the war photographer and Greenpeace member," he said folding his arms together to show authority.

"Do you two have a history together?" Henry asked curiously.

"No, but we heard about each other back in Kenya. Nick used to work for Nightline and filmed war zones such as Bosnia and Uganda. And he is known for his work with Greenpeace though being the guy they send to sabotage potential poaching rings. Nick let me say this once, we are the opposite of the Poaching rings and drug dealings going on around the world. We are here to ensure that creatures such as that animal you just freed are taken back to where they belong. Now why are you here?" Robert said to Nick.

"Alright if you must know when I heard about illegal animal trading done here in Costa Rica I was sent here to investigate on behalf of Greenpeace. Well what I didn't expect was those animals to be something from a museum," he said indicating the cargo hold.

"You never expected dinosaurs," said Alan amused.

"No, I didn't and when I sabotaged that stake hold near the Mexican border well...imagine my surprise when I came face to face with something out of a science fiction movie," Nick replied to the comment. Both Robert and Alan looked at each other before giving Nick a strange look.

"Do you have a photograph of the animal?" Alan asked him and Nick showed him a Polaroid photo of the animal in question. Robert and Alan both looked at the animal it was a photo taken around the time Jurassic Park fell. When they saw it Alan instantly knew what animal it was due to the large crest on its head.

"Parasaurolophus," they both said.

The image they saw was indeed the said dinosaur kept in a pen in someone's back yard.

"Some people claimed it was an animatronic that the man somehow made, but when I did my investigation the animal was real. I thought I was losing my mind when I saw it and then when I reported it they nearly fired me till I produced the photos and the video of the animal handlers treatment of that animal. They wanted me to investigate more because it would mean a major bust. But all I found was more questions then answers." Nick replied.

"How did you hear about us?" asked Robert.

"I did some digging on where these animals came from. It was not easy but I managed to find another facility not far from the Costa Riccan/Nicaragua border. Except there I ran into an animal ring where I found some little guys who don't look like your average birds. They were nasty buggers too and put me in the hospital for weeks. Turns out the little guys are venomous," he said to them.

Alan rolled his eyes at him, "You're lucky it was a small dose. Get enough of it in you and you will fall into a coma." he then looked to Robert before he nodded in silent agreement.

"Mr. Van Owen since you are really good at journalism how about you work for us?" Robert said to him slyly.

"Really?" Nick said.

"Yeah, you see we have been hired by the United Nations Security Council, the Costa Riccan Government and Mr. Hammond to personally to deal with the dinosaurs and to bring them back here to the Five Deaths where they belong. Now mind you we need to go over details about the specifics of our fledgling organization, but if we get the right people in on it we can make a difference. Right now we have been tracking a drug ring near the Ecuador/Columbia border. We had received word about a group of velociraptors there that are being mistreated. But mind you the man in charge of them is a cartel drug lord. So be mindful of him. Are you familiar with a man named Rafael Santos?" Robert asked Nick as he steered him towards the lower decks.

Alan followed behind hoping to have a better look at the dinosaurs that Nick had shown them. When he gotten into the office Nick was already sitting in the chair in front of the desk while Robert sat on the desk. Right behind him was Jose.

"You see Nick what I mentioned to you must remain so. So far the world only knows of Dr. Grant's dinosaurs since he has been on the cover of a lot of science journals. But what they don't know is that there are dinosaurs everywhere. They are illegally sold to people like Rafael and we want to find them. InGen the genetics company created them for an amusement park on Isla Nublar just 120 miles west of Costa Rica called Jurassic Park. We are currently heading towards Isla Sorna which is 209 miles west of the mainland coast where they were created in bulk." Robert said to him.

"Wait these dinosaurs were created?" Nick asked him and it was Alan who answered.

"My animals were also created that way. I accidentally found them as eggs and they imprinted on me when they hatched that is why my animals are well known. I use them for research into the behaviors of ancient species always knowing their true origins. But when John Hammond came to invite me to Jurassic Park that was around the time my animals were stolen. You see Nick these creatures are unique. They are not supposed to be in our time period but we brought them here. So we as a species must be responsible for them." Alan said to him and the man was awestruck to hear this.

"So these animals were genetically engineered?" Nick asked.

"Yes, by men who tried to play God," Alan replied while leaning back on the wall beside the desk.

"So you are saying that these animals were created for an AMUSEMENT PARK?" Nick said to them.

"Yes and our group is hired to bring them back here where they can live naturally in isolation where they are kept safe. People can still come here but only on our terms. That is what we agreed upon by the governments. If word gets out too quickly about this then this place will be flooded with unwanted people causing unwanted deaths do you understand?" Robert said to him

"Ok so let me get this straight you want to bring these dinosaurs back to this island that we are going to for what? Live their natural lives?" Nick asked.

"Rehabilitation and release. This island is built sorely for them. The habitat is a natural barrier against the outside world and they can live here being themselves and not someone's pets. My animals were trained to be working animals with the respect that they are still wild animals. However the people who built Jurassic Park held no respect. That is why we are assigned to make Isla Sorna a wild life refuge for prehistoric animals. We didn't make them but we can protect them," Alan said to Nick.

"A wild life refuge? Well I will have to see it for myself. As for your earlier statement about Rafael, I've heard of the bastard. Smuggles hard core drugs into the United States via several smuggling rings. But I didn't know he was into dinosaurs too?" Nick said.

"Yeah well he has a compound on the Ecuador border with Columbia. It has three very dangerous dinosaurs there. But we are not ready to deal with him yet. So that is why we are heading to Sorna. If we are going to deal with him and others like him we need to be prepared. If you want the job we can fill you in on the details. How does that sound, you in?" Robert said to him and Nick looked up at Alan and the man shrugged.

"Ok, I'm in. Just give me a bit to set things in order," Nick said to them.

"Good, I will fill out the paperwork and Alan here can introduce you properly to the gang," he said to Nick. And Nick shrugged, "Ok I guess? When are we meeting them at lunch?" Nick replied.

"You can say that," Alan said smirking.

THREE DAYS LATER

Steep high cliffs meet them as the first sighting of Isla Sorna came into view. The high cliffs and deep ravines revealed an island that is far different then one would expect to see from afar. Alan could feel the cool air off of the cliffs and he could not wait to ride Sarah through the wind. In fact he wanted to do so now.

Looking behind him he saw Nick standing there taking pictures. Whistling Alan raised his hand while looking up.

"What are you doing?" Nick asked as Alan gotten the saddle from a crate on deck.

A loud shrill was heard from above and Nick looked in shock as Sarah came flying down from the clouds. She was flying high today that much Alan could tell when she landed in front of him. When she saw the saddle she immediately turned around ready for him to put it on.

Nick watched in amazement when Alan strapped the saddle onto her back before climbing on. Sarah flapped her wings as if warming up when she felt Alan climbed onto her back. When he gave the command she dove off the deck and was back in the air. Nick rushed towards the rails and watched as the man rode the pteranodon towards the island.

"Holy shit!" he said out loud.

"You'll get used to it," said a new voice and Nick turned in surprise to see a dark skinned man standing behind him. He walked right up to him and offered his hand.

"Ray Arnold head of Operations at the new Jurassic Park Dinosaur Preserve." Ray said proudly. Nick was stunned when he too offered his hand, "Nick Van Owen photographer and Journalist," he said to him.

"Well welcome aboard. Robert told me about your stowing away for Greenpeace. In fact he stated you might be able to help us with a few problem dinos." Ray stated and the man smiled.

"Sure glad to help." Nick said as he followed Ray below deck but not before looking out at the island beyond the horizon.

MEANWHILE

Alan held on as Sarah approached Isla Sorna from high in the clouds. Holding on he felt the shift in the wind as they neared the cliffs surrounding the island.

"Now we will be circling around the north side Alan can you check out the interior and the south side? We will let you know what needs to be done when we get to the Administration Building," Robert's voice said over the headset.

"Rodger that heading south now," Alan stated and gave Sarah the signal to head in that direction. The pteranodon gladly soared towards the interior where Alan wanted her to go. She held herself up high where Alan could see the ground below.

"Alright girl fly lower so that way you can get some rest on the thermals," he said to her and signaled her to go down towards the ground. Sarah complied as she dipped down to fly lower. As she did he saw the many graceful necks of some of the dinosaurs passing the trees. Mostly herbivores that were grazing such as Brachiosaurs and Memenchisaurus. As they flew over the trees he kept Sarah at a good altitude to keep her safe from harm.

As they came closer towards the southern end of the island after a while of flying Alan decided to let Sarah down for a rest. The pteranodon settled near a waterfall overlooking a cliff. Thankfully Alan found this spot suitable for her since the fish are near the waterfall and she can eat. While she ate he sat there on the cliff overlooking one of the many valleys that littered the island and checking the interior.

As he put his binoculars to his eyes he could see the area around the mountains. Clouds touched the mountain peaks shrouding it in dark grays while the valley below was lush. Tall conifers were off near the mountain faces as well as the southern coast.

I guess we have to check that area out. Alan thought as he signaled to Sarah who was more then happy to be off the ground again.

As they flew over towards the southern side Alan could see a few more species as they made their way over the plains. But there was not much since InGen only just released the animals not too long ago. So they will need time to establish a more suitable population. A wide inlet was seen from the air as Sarah flew down towards it. Dipping her beak into the water she skimmed it till she pulled up a sizable fish before swallowing.

"You invented takeout girl I'm impressed," he said to her. She thrilled a reply as he held on.

Sarah then flew higher to avoid a predator below and Alan took note of the Carnotaurus on the ground roaring in frustration. When he looks at the animal it looks to be starving but no signs of the DX virus. That is good to put in his report as they circled the southern end of the island. He too note of a group of raptors just to the south that looked more tiger stripped or dark brown. Unlike the ones he saw near the administration building these did not look all that tame. He could compare them to the ones at Isla Nublar where they showed high intelligence.

However these raptors showed more savagery. They are all young still so Alan could guess they are juveniles with no guidance. Maybe if they caught the ones at the administration building again then he can train them like how he trained Nico.

Sarah landed in a tall tree overlooking the area giving Alan a chance to take some pictures of the animals. He already gotten the Carnotaurus. He then took some of the Velociraptors.

"Alright girl lets look around some more," he said to her as she took off again towards the south mapping out the coastline. From what they saw there is not much in the way of dinosaur activity since the animals had not made it this far south yet. There is a lot of ground to cover before they fully took over the island. So Alan mapped out what he saw before signaling to Sarah to head back North towards the area he told Robert he would meet him in. As he passed over the mountains he saw the conifer forests hidden in the mountain valleys. There the trees look like something from North America. Not like the more interior regions or the coast where it was mostly tropical jungle.

This area looked mysterious with its tall trees and fog covered canopy. Sarah flew higher to avoid the fog while Alan held on but he took pictures of the area below. When they cleared the mountain range and headed towards the interior through a valley Alan was glad there are no pterosaurs here unlike Nublar or the more northern part from what he saw on the map.

It won't be for long though he thought remembering InGen and what they are bringing. As they neared the area the boat was at, he could see the ship nearing the area of landing.

LATER

The docks were still there as they left it. Alan saw the Administration building below and took a quick fly by before seeing the ship go up one of the rivers towards its destination. Iggy and Terry followed them up the river for a bit before turning back towards the ocean. When the ship landed at the docks which was inside a deep lake the people there were more then happy to finally reach land. Crew members disembarked to tie off the ship. When it was tied down then the door to the cargo hold was opened and Rosco was the first to come out. The newly awoken Rexy and Junior had their fair share of food and water before being allowed to leave. But once they disembarked the others followed.

Nick was still stunned to see living dinosaurs even after freeing them earlier. Robert and Ray looked on with amusement. Nima had her hand on her hips as she looked at their operation as crews began to disembark.

"Alright folks remember we need to assess the situation here and how bad the damage is. Remember to go in armed and shoot anything that is not friendly. If they don't attack then don't shoot. If they do you have every right to defend yourselves. Remember some of them do carry the virus to be wary of them." Robert warned and the men who were in charge of security complied. They quickly rushed to form a parameter to keep everyone safe. The eight dinosaurs that were with them immediately started sniffing out their territory to ensure that no other dinosaur is here.

They did get surprised by a random tyrannosaur but Rosco and Rexy sacred it off with a few roars. Junior hearing the roaring joined them in fending off the intruder. Nico and Spitz were near the entrance to the docks and Spitz growled low in his throat at a group of compys. They scrambled out of the way. The humans made their way up the ramp with cars full of gear and supplies. The cars were vehicles from Isla Nublar so the Jurassic Park logo was printed on the side. Robert led the way as they neared the vehicles while he landed Sarah on the docks. Ray was driving another vehicle with Henry, Nima and Nick. Once Alan was off he undid the saddle allowing Sarah to fly free while he hopped onto a third vehicle.

They drove towards the area that Robert was heading towards, the Administration Building.

By the time they got there the dinosaurs were roaming the area marking their scent. Men and equipment were going about to ensure that the area was safe. The administration building was being secured, and the bodies that were rotting in the building were taken out to be properly buried. As they did so the group made sure that no one was there that had claws. As they were going through the labs.

"Dr. Grant! Mr. Muldoon!" a voice shouted and a young man in his early thirties ran up to him. He was one of the crews that were assigned for clean up.

"What is it?" Robert demanded.

"Sir, the guys came across a group of velociraptors and they wanted to know what you wanted us to do with them?" he said and Alan and Robert looked at each other before following the young man.

When they gotten into the building they saw the crews working to check what was damaged and what was salvageable. When they had gotten towards the end where the raptors are being kept which was behind the laboratory. They managed to get a good look at all three of them.

The one in the middle was covered in spots like a leopard while the other two had quills on their heads and a stripe down the middle. They did not look like the raptors from the records.

"Henry were your people experimenting with any sort of sequencing?" he asked Henry who shook his head, "Not that I know of but I can look," he said and he took a sample from each of them. They did not fight at all, in fact they all looked sick.

"They are probably infected with the DX virus. We should give them the antivirus to help them out," said Henry as he went to the medical kit to produce the medicine for dinosaurs. When he came back with the shots. The raptors tried to fight back but were too weak to get up. The cage they were in looked like a nest of some sort. It was determined that this is where they were staying because of the circumstances they were in. Henry then injected the medication in each of them being mindful of the teeth and claws. When it was done they were locked inside the cage for their safety before proceeding with other parts of the building. Gerry remained behind to keep an eye on the raptors.

"How are things holding up?" asked Robert to Henry as the other man remembered that it was the raptors that had given him the disks.

"I don't know, maybe we can train them like how Alan trained Nico and me with Rosie," Henry said to Robert. Robert looked at the three raptors and nodded his head, "Good idea we could use these animals to help guard our camp until we can get things more settled," he said to Henry.

MEANWHILE

Ray was busy going over the last security files for the building. The log records showed that the evacuation and the massacre happened around the same time. Meaning that whoever came here to kill all the staff members timed it perfectly to avoid any sort of conflict. He saw the massacre again and again to see what he had missed. He gave it a critical eye after the fourth or fifth time until he closed the screen. He was exhausted after traveling by boat and then coming here.

Thankfully the crew managed to put something up that was sheltered for them and it allowed the dinosaurs to see who they were protecting. Dr. Grant had insisted that his animals need to know who was their friend and who was not. Ray didn't mind...well except for a certain someone who is currently perched on his shoulder snoozing. Thankfully he doesn't have a cigarette or he would be in deep shit. Getting up he made his way out of the building to get something to eat and then to sleep. His eyes were blurry and his mind was not exactly there at the moment.

As if sensing his weariness he was directed by one of the workers to a large easy up tent where several people were sleeping. The mosquito netting allows them to keep out the pests and lets the dinosaurs see and smell them at the same time.

"How long till we can get some descent buildings up Ray?" asked Robert before the man could even think about sleeping.

"Depends on the weather, so far there are no storms heading our way so that is good. Bad news is that we have to clear out the building of unwanted dinosaurs. Frankie already found several, mostly compys," Ray said to Robert.

"Alright I will have a crew ready in the morning. In the mean time since the sun is starting to go down we had been at this for hours. Go get some rest Ray," Robert said to him and Ray was glad to comply. He made his way over to the tents and plopped down on a cot. Someone gave him a blanket and a pillow for comfort reasons and he said his thanks before closing his eyes.

MEANWHILE

Robert was busy directing traffic when the sun started to set over the western trees. Seeing this he directed some of his men to start building fires to ward off the smaller predators. When they gathered around the flames he wanted reports from all the crews they had. So far they had not had a disturbance from any dinosaur other then the three raptors they had caught in the pen. As the man yawned he was sure that when the sun rises tomorrow the real work begins.

A/n: Ok I am mentally exhausted and it is not because of this story.

No, real life kicks you in the ass sometimes and that is happening to me.

Anyhow we are starting to shift from JP and the middle arc to the LWJP storyline. Right now we are moving to the in between time and there will be a slight time skip but the next chapter will be a bit better promise. Till next time and remember no FLAMES, BASHINGS OR LORE MONGERS PLEASE
