Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of The Lioness and the Wolf. Enjoy the 900-Word chapter. I don't own AGK, Takahiro, Square Enix and a few others do.

(Imperial Warship)

Leone was aware that to her enemies? She looked quite monstrous. That was probably why she managed to get a punch that snapped the neck of one soldier. Jace managed to grab the sword from another soldier.

"I thought Honest killed that freak!" One of the soldiers yelled before Jace ran him through. The man gasped and collapsed to the ground motionless.

"And I thought the empire realized they're screwed over without Esdeath and Honest," Jace stated before deciding since he had activated his Tengu anyway?

It wouldn't hurt to use it for combat. Jace watched as one of the soldiers leveled their rifle at him. The soldier pulled the trigger.

Jace was already moving by then. He flipped over as the bullet soared past him and into the hull. Jace stabbed his claws into the soldier like a savage wolf. The man collapsed to the ground with Jace pulling his crimson-soaked claws from the man.

"Who's next?" Jace questioned the soldiers. He didn't enjoy killing, but Imperial soldiers? They had long since earned their spot in hell for all the death and misery they wrought.

But the soldiers probably just considered him another monster. Jace accepted that.

Leone launched herself at the soldiers. She kicked one hard enough to snap his ribs like balsa wood. The man was joined by his friend as Leone shredded her torso with her claws.

"Behind you!" Jace yelled as one of the soldiers swung their sword, cutting Leone across her torso. She gasped in pain as fresh crimson hit the wooden deck.

Jace easily stabbed the man and threw him to the floor. He turned to Leone only to blink for a moment.

Leone's skin healed up in moments, sealing the cut like it was a small prick of paper. Leone blinked and turned to the other soldiers with a grin.

The remaining 6 soldiers decided to retreat below deck. Jace guessed they would get reinforcements. It wouldn't matter, Jace would rig the gunpowder to go off from the top deck.

Jace turned to Leone who ran her clawed fingers over her wound.

"Did you…" Jace questioned in shock. He knew Lionelle had a healing factor. Jace just didn't expect Leone to still have it.

"I think when I grabbed Lionelle, it fused to me again." Leone stated which made Jace raise an eyebrow at her. "Which means I got my healing back! Hell yeah, I'm back, baby!" Leone stated with a cat-like grin.

Jace could only roll his eyes and turn away. He deactivated Lupusnal and let out a sigh. If Leone could heal? It meant he could focus his trump card on himself at the moment.

"We still need to sink this ship to block up the river," Jace stated and pointed downwards. "They're probably getting reinforcements. I don't want to see more soldiers show up and overwhelm us." Jace said before walking towards the crates of gunpowder.

Jace knew for a fact that if the gunpowder went off? It'd damage the ship enough to sink. The river was shallow enough for the wreckage to block things up. He knew it'd be gone in the future.

"Nothing stopping us from having just trying to damage their flagship and sneak on in the chaos." Leone stated while Jace rolled his eyes. He didn't want to repeat himself.

Plus? If they stuck around too long? People would wonder why they hadn't moved upstream. Jace wanted to try and take down at least 1 or 2 of the fleet's ships as well. He'd settle for just crippling the fleet if that's all he'd get done.

"We can head over there as soon as I sabotage the gunpowder," Jace said before looking at a frowning Leone. "Trust me, I want to send this fleet to hell. The soldiers who work for Empire are monsters. We're only 2 people, though. I'd gladly go for more than hit and run attacks if it didn't give us away…. Neither of us is bulletproof as I'm sure you've noticed." Jace said while smashing apart the crate.

He looked for a way to set off the gunpowder without being aboard the ship. The obvious results of what would happen if the gunpowder went off aboard the ship weren't lost. Leone frowned, but she acknowledged the fact that she no longer had a team.

'Night Raid is gone. And I can't exactly expect Jace to have everything planned out to the minute. There has to be someone willing to stand up to the colonel, though.' Leone thought to herself.

She looked at Jace as he located a stack of grenades. Probably used while boarding another ship.

"I need your claws to light this up," Jace said holding up the grenade. "Then we can't be anywhere on this thing or we're both be fish food," Jace stated to Leone.
