Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of The Lioness and the Wolf. Enjoy the 900-Word chapter. I don't own AGK, Takahiro, Square Enix and a few others do.

(Jace's Cabin)

Jace blocked a kick which sent him skidding backward and caused him to dig his claws into the ground.

'Damn does she hit harder every single damned time?' Jace thought to himself as Leone launched into a punch which Jace deflected with a kick.

"You know, punching and kicking me doesn't get me to open up," Jace said as he threw a punch that Leone blocked. He countered by twisting his arm to the side and then knocked her backward.

"No, but your no fun the other way." Leone said with a smirk which caused the rebel captain to sigh. "Plus, it's always fun to fight someone who doesn't hold back." Leone said as Jace hummed.

"I'm starting to think all you do is tease me," Jace said as he cracked his fingers. "Tease me, then kick me in the damn face," Jace stated as he looked to the side.

"You're the one who responds to it." Leone said and flexed her claws with a smirk.

"Only because it's the thing that seems to get you to talk," Jace responded and pointed a clawed finger at her. "I knew this would be hard… But you keep driving me up the wall." Jace said while he lunged at Leone.

She backpedaled, her eyes gleamed with a desire to knock Jace to the ground and rip into him. It was far more different than what she had found when she was around Tatsumi and them.

To her? That was just messing with them, digging a little under the skin until she found a weak point. She enjoyed messing with people from who she could get a reaction. But with Jace?

This carnal desire was more primal. It was far more than a simple feeling, it made Leone hunger in a way only a lioness could feel. Then again? Her Tengu was one of the monstrous animals. Perhaps it was just making her desires rise.

Leone launched into another kick at Jace which he blocked. Leone flipped backward and hummed.

"Do you ever not telegraph your moves?" Jace questioned with a smile. "I know I told you that we should be more in sync… But not so much that I can read you like an open book, Leone." Jace said while extending his claws.

Jace rarely felt a sense of amusement from fighting. He killed people who deserved it, mostly scumbags who the world would not mourn, would not miss…. But this fight? He felt the same desire to dominate Leone as she did with him.

"And for an army captain?" Leone questioned and threw a kick which was deflected before unleashing a punch. "You show your strength far too much. You don't enjoy fighting enough to understand how brutal it is." Leone said which caused Jace to hum.

That much was true. He didn't fight like the beast his Tengu made him. Jace didn't like the desire to shred his enemies like cheese, he feared it. Jace didn't want to become a beast that would feast on the slain. He couldn't fathom the thought of losing himself to his rage.

Then again? This fight? Jace wanted this fight more than anything… And strangely? Jace didn't know what was causing him to be this bloodthirsty… And he didn't seem to care.

Jace rushed Leone as she charged him as well. Jace slid to the ground and then slashed at her side and was greeted by Leone trying to stomp on his back. He flipped into the air and grabbed her by the arms.

"You're making this too easy." Leone stated with a smile as Jace hummed and looked to the side.

He was quite curious as to what was coming over him. Jace growled and bared his teeth with interest.

"Do you want to point out how crazy this is getting?" Jace questioned and straightened up. "Something is coming over me… Something primal." Jace hummed and then looked to the side.

Jace didn't want whatever came over him, but the urge was not bloodborne… It was primal. It called to him with a wave of anger he didn't know could exist. Leone seemed the same way as she sauntered towards him.

Jace growled and backed off. He couldn't take Leone in a fair fight, but something inside him wanted him to attack anyway. it was a nightmare that he wouldn't embrace. He didn't understand it… And what he didn't understand?

Jace didn't once want to care about this. He didn't want to give in to this hunger that burned within him. Jace growled and bit his teeth together. He then focused on deactivating his Tengu.

Whatever this hunger was? He wouldn't obey it. But little did he know that this hunger was not purely from his Tengu.

Nor did he know just how wild this bond with Leone would grow…. And he almost wondered if he would be ready for it.
