The Lunatik and The Sultan are now joined as wife and husband. They have stepped into the abyss, hand in hand. It is time for them to discover what face the abyss wears...
Bella awoke to a feeling of soreness. As she tried to prop herself onto her elbows, she could not stop the mewl of pain that escaped her lips. Never again would she have to do an ab workout. A couple nights of this, and she would be all set. To her right lay Jasper. Vampyres did not sleep but they liked to pretend to. It took years to perfect the meditative state of mind that allowed one to escape the world. Bella suspected that is exactly what many did upon becoming one of the undead. She flopped back down onto the bed, deciding that maybe another of hour of sleep would do her body more good than anything else.
The motion awoke Jasper.
Bella shut her eyes wishing that she had not woken up in the first place because now he would not let her escape the world again. Immediately, Bella felt an electrification in him, the excitement of a young schoolboy upon receiving a good grade on a math. His mood was contagious. Soon enough, Bella was shutting her eyes while grinning erratically. Damn the empath. Manipulating emotion was the best alarm clock that Bella could think of.
"Stop it," Bella mumbled, burying her face back into her pillow. Jasper placed a cool hand onto her hip.
"How is my wife doing this fine morning?"
"She is despising your existence because you deprived her of a potentially blissful hour of sleep."
Jasper chuckled and flipped her over to face him. His smell was like a drug, perfect and intoxicating. The emotion of excitement receded as Jasper finally sensed that she was fully awake.
"Yet, bliss comes in many forms, does it not?" Jasper's hand travelled up towards her breasts. Bella blushed a soft shade of pink. Jasper traced her nipple and then lazily made his way up to her lips, soft lines and loops here and there. It was these simple gestures that made Bella a pile of anticipation. He knew her too well.
His questioning finger traced her small grin, and the made its way back down.
"You're absolutely right, " Bella couldn't help whispering, staring up into his burgundy eyes. They were soft, smiling eyes. So unlike the hard countenance in him yesterday at the wedding. Here was a man who could not remember the last time he could put his trust in another living entity. Here was a man who had always protected what he loved, but every single time his protection failed him. Here was man who had found her again.
Bella brought a hand up to his neck and brought him towards her, fiercely and suddenly needing to kiss him. To thank him in every way she knew how. The kiss was soft but pressing. Jasper wanted to be gentle today, he wanted to be the opposite of the ravening monster of need that he was yesterday. It was Bella that pressed into him, taking what he was giving.
It was Bella's need that they were both fulfilling this morning.
Jasper's hand finally made its way down her body and Bella exhaled sharply into his mouth. There was an instant tightening in her core, a delicious hum of impatience. Bella wove her other arm around his neck, pressing every inch that she could against him. Slow, warm circles of one finger was enough. Bella could only feel his touch and nothing else. Her slow breaths slowly became faster, as intensity increased. Bella could feel his cock pressing up against her inner thigh. Now that was a turn on. Bella wrapped a hand around it, gripping it softly and moving up down, mirroring the slow motions of his. A sharp intake of breath in him delighted her. Her thumb played with his tip, peppering it with soft touches. Just as he had done, Bella slowly increased the intensity and soon enough he could only focus on her touch.
Before Bella could think about what she was doing, she had gotten top of him and was teasing him with her lips. A small tinge of indecisiveness entered. This was, after all, her second time.
"Dear god, Bella, don't stop."
Bella looked up at him to see his eyes closed. Her hand slowed as she wrapped her lips around his dick. She expected it to taste like something, but was relieved that her taste buds did not sense anything. Bella's tongue mimicked the motion of her thumb, slow circles around the top. There was a tightening in Jasper's legs. Bella started the rhythm, taking him deeper and deeper every time. Faster and faster until Bella had to come up for air. Her hands took over from there, continuing with an even harder intensity. Jasper's breathing was no longer normal, and Bella smiled to herself.
"Fuck, Bella."
Suddenly Jasper could not take it no more. Never had he experienced an orgasm so quickly. He thought himself experienced in this field, but she...
"Did you like it?" Bella's question was demure, she knew exactly what she had been doing to him.
Jasper only growled in return as quickly changed their position. Bella gazed up at him as he leaned down for another kiss. He smothered her gasp of pleasure with his lips as he thrust into her, needing it more than he thought was possible. Her scent of lilac and naivete, mixed with her sense of undeniable pleasure woke a deep sense of yearning. It was as though these moments were the end of a long crescendo, as though he had been away for eternity and eternity had finally ended.
Bella screamed in pleasure as the orgasm began, the climax shaking her body.
Jasper lowered himself next to her, watching and feeling her emotions. Never had anyone so pure came into his possession, and he into theirs.
Bella regained her breath and her smile lit up the darkness in between every crevice of Jasper's mind.
"You. Are. Mine." Jasper punctuated every word with a growl. He snaked his arms around her, pulling her close to feel her warmth. She radiated contentedness and sleepiness.
"I don't have any idea why I would not be," Bella said snuggling into him, taking the hour sleep she promised herself.
The bed was empty upon the next opening of her eyes. Bella's sleepy arms searched for the body that had been lying there but the search was fruitless.
There was a moment of terror as Bella wrenched open her eyes. Terror that he left her, terror as the events of the previous twenty four or so hours.
She was married to the fucking Sultan and fucking him too.
The room was as white with creamy tones. White like fabric of her wedding dress, white as the surrender flags that waved within her body.
Bella wrapped the soft blankets around her naked body and curled up onto her bed. What now?
"Damn it all. Damn Jasper, damn the vampyres. Damn it, damn it, damn it."
The tears that ran down her cheeks were involuntary. Bella wanted to curl into herself, she wanted to forget the memories racing through her head and body.
How could she?
How could she let him?
How dare she let him?
How dare she...love him.
It had been quick and painless. Like the klutz she always was, Bella tripped and let her heart be taken away. To the enemy. To the only one she swore to hate for eternity. The incantations she uttered in the dark night in her room. The malicious jokes that she screamed so many times in her head.
They were gone, dandelion seeds in the wind. Bella rolled herself off of the bed, the impact of the cold floor waking her up even further.
Bella stood up and looked at her legs. There were the echoes of the poison. Of the Carlisle who had done everything for her. The one who was ready to give up eternity for her.
The marks were faint now. The opposite was true in Jasper's mind. She did not tell him where they were from, and he did not get angry.
But he would find out, that much she knew.
"What are you doing on the floor?"
The voice was one of high pitched bells. Bella vaguely remembered a short pixie who belonged to it.
"Waiting for Satan to swallow me whole."
"I have clothes, coffee and breakfast."
Bella peeked out from under the blanket and saw the pixie reaching down to touch her.
"I swear to god if you touch me, I will bite your hand off."
The hand receded.
"Alice is my name."
"Cool."
There was a soft tap as Alice set down the tray of food.
"I am going to leave the room so that you can change."
Bella only breathed in return.
There was a dress. A light yellow dress that came down to Bella's toes. The underwear was white and lacy. Bella swallowed a lump in her throat at what this insinuated.
Jasper.
Her stomach erupted in butterflies and her face in grins. This was all wrong. So much wrong that it had to be right.
"No," Bella admonished herself convincingly.
Bella dressed. The moment the dress was on, Alice pranced in. Bella glared at her. She was in full defense mode.
"That dress looks perfect on you."
Bella glared.
Alice's face suddenly turned cold as well.
"Neither of us likes situation do we? I would rather rip you into small pieces and suck each one dry than play sister-in-law like a good girl. But let me warn you. One wrong step and Jasper will not protect you. He will move on to the next one."
Shock turned Bella speechless. Shock, then fear. These were exactly the words she had been envisioning as she dressed.
Alice smiled.
"That is what you expected me to say, didn't you? I'm new to this whole vampyre thing. It's been only forty years. Plus, I can see the future."
"Ha?"
Bella took the offered breakfast. This was a queen's breakfast. Eggs, toast, jam and hash browns. It wasn't "economical" to feed everyone else that.
"You and I, we'll be great friends."
Bella sipped the scalding coffee. Vampyres had no idea that humans could boil to death. Alice sat next to her on the bed.
"I am super excited that you are finally here. You don't know how much you will mean to the vampyres and the humans."
Bella looked at Alice with a mouthful of toast.
"Will?"
"Sorry. I don't even know if it will happen yet. I hope it will though."
"Are you still going to kill me?" Bella could not shake the fear that Alice's threat brought.
"Nope. If I do, Jasper will kill me slowly and painfully. Plus, I will lose my only friend."
"Hm."
They sat in silence as Bella ate. Alice hummed with unspent energy. The hyper-kid stink in the room was almost unbearable.
"Ok. Now, let's go meet the in-laws."
Bella suddenly wished that she had the capacity to faint at will. The in-laws were the ones that started the damned war. Alice only smiled, one side of her mouth pulling slightly higher than the other. There was only unsymmetrical emotion.
Contempt.
There are three of them,
These kings of sin.
Cloaks of satin and dried blood,
It is their war to win.
They revel in a mother's scream,
A carcass is their only dream.
There are three.
But there are none.
