Hello guys! First of all, I am so late to the The Walking Dead fandom but I have loved many episodes and cried over them too. The most exciting was to fall in love with Richonne. So here is my first Richonne fic. There are so many stories out there and I feel like this is just a small fine grain. I do have to warn again it is Richonne with some things both Andy and Danai have said so...

Thanks to Siancore for her words and encouragement!

And yes, I do not own any of these characters, The Walking Dead or anything related. It's just me and my mind racing at whatever hours to get the words out. I certainly hope you enjoy.

Love,

A.

Michonne

Her head was killing her again. One of those stupid and annoying migraines. She felt bad because she would have to decline going with the rest of the cast to that fine bar they discovered a couple of weekends ago to celebrate another wrap-up and saying informally goodbye to another member of the family.

She so wanted to go but her body and especially her head decided for her. She looked at her phone for the time. 6.08pm. They will be here any minute. Damn.

She had already closed all the blinds of the room and had taken two pills. Some hours of sleep, quietness, and dark and she will be as good as new. She knew the drill but only wished it had not happened today. She was about to go back into bed covered in her robe when she heard the soft knock on the door and voices outside. She went to open and found Sasha smiling for a second until her face looked at her in confusion trying to understand why she was still in a robe and not ready to hit the street.

"Michonne, what's THAT? Why are you not ready yet? We are gonna be late." Sasha sighed as if she were a little girl while she dragged the word late.

"I think it's pretty evident, I am not going." She moved from the door to let them in.

"WHAT?", asked Sasha and Daryl behind her at the same time while still rooted outside.

"Come on girl, don't play with me, we don't have time for this. I need my drinks as soon as possible. Today's filming was disgusting. I need to forget it," said Sasha, smiling sadly.

"It's ok. You guys go and enjoy. I am not feeling well."

"What is it?"

"Are we really gon' stay and chat up here in the hall?", asked Daryl. He moved past them and went into Michonne's room and Sasha followed after rolling her eyes.

"Is it your head again, Chonne?", he asked. They both knew about her migraines and how bad they could get if not treated accordingly. They had witnessed her vomiting and feeling really sick about them more times than they would have liked.

She simply nodded and Sasha also recognized her condition. She wanted her friend there when she was saying goodbye but she understood that she was indeed in no condition to go out. She approached Michonne and took her hands.

"Ok, you know how much I love you and how much I wanted you to be there by my side tonight, but I understand and I don't want you to risk your health for that. There will be other opportunities, just do what you have to do. We'll check on you when we get back, right Daryl?" The man just nodded.

"If you need anything at all just let us know, we'll have our phones, and I really mean anything Chonne", he said before looking straight into her eyes, and when he noticed her look of annoyance he just hugged her and headed for the door.

"I just need to lie down and give it time, Daryl. Don't be so dramatic. You are lucky I am not going to be there to dare you". She heard him huff and started feeling better.

"Don't pay attention to him, you know he is a teddy bear inside, but I second that. Anything." Sasha hugged her too and was about to let her go when she whispered "What do you want me to tell him?"

Michonne just looked at her, realizing that her friend was now talking about her co-star and leading actor. There was nothing to tell, just what she was going to tell everybody else. Why the special treatment? Sasha as always was overthinking and analyzing things. It made her feel uneasy every time she suggested that her friendship with Rick Grimes was more than her friendship with her and Daryl. Michonne didn't have the patience to play this game now. Her head started pounding stronger now and their voices were mortifying her to an inexplicable level.

"Sasha…" she started but the other woman cut her off.

"I am just sayin', he's gonna ask and he is probably gonna be coming here to check on ya, you know that right?"

"Just tell him what you are telling everybody, don't make it harder. My head is killing me. I don't want to think about any of your romance stories involving me and Rick right now."

"Ok", Sasha said with her hands in the air defensively, "but don't say I didn't warn you when he shows up knocking at your door."

"Sasha, come on. Let Chonne go back to bed, you are not helping with all that talk", Daryl said, annoyed now that his girlfriend was still talking to Michonne when clearly it was time for her to lie down and them gone to join the rest of the cast.

"Yeah, yeah". She gave Michonne one more hug and headed to the open door. She and Daryl said goodbye and closed the door behind them.

Michonne sighed and went to her bed. She took off her robe and then pulled the covers and lay down. Massaging her temples she thought about how Sasha was always getting under her skin. It is not that she didn't know what she wanted but that was impossible right now. It simply cannot be. She had grown used to his presence and their flirting friendship but it was nothing more than an innocent exchange between two coworkers and friends. It can't be more than that. He is married and I am not that woman. I refuse to be. That was always her first and foremost excuse that will always set her straight back in place if she ever entertains thinking about throwing away her morals and trying to figure out what it could be.

But she was not a fool, she has noticed his longing stares, his checking her out when he thought she was not looking, his hands at the end of her back or slightly on her arms or hands when it was not really necessary, how he always seems to find her with his eyes and enjoy sharing little things with her. And she had said nothing about those slight and innocent touches because she firmly wanted to believe that is what they were: innocent.

Michonne sighed heavily and moved around in the bed trying to find a comfortable position to fall asleep. She needed to rest, she needed to get rid of this migraine before they fly back home or the plane will only make it worse. She decided to let go of thoughts about Rick and what was going on between them before his head exploded. A few more minutes and she fell into a slumber dreaming of blue eyes following her everywhere and fingertips touching her wrists.
