Ymir Fritz watched with amusement and exasperation. Introducing Pieck did help stop the brawl, but only enough to confuse them a little. Oluo's grip had slackened on Bertholdt enough for the shifter to cry out. "PIECK?!"
Pieck's head snapped up. She had seen him through the viewing glass earlier but was still unable to believe he was alive and breathing. After a few moments she stood up and leaned against a panting, wide-eyed Kenny, staring at Bertholdt. "Yes, I'm here too." She looked around, "Wherever here is..."
Bertholdt shoved Oluo off him and stood up. "Why do you look so much... um... older?"
"Because whatever higher power took us away, it took us from a different time to you."
Everyone stared at the shifter.
Armin, who had jumped on Eren's back and was in fact, still on top of him, spoke up, "You mean you're from the future?"
Pieck nodded. She looked to the wall behind her and sighed. "Will you two get your butts out here, please?"
Before Porco or Zeke could answer an unseen force threw them across the room, landing next to Pieck.
"OW!" "OOF"!
Porco stood up and brushed himself off. "GALLIARD?!" Reiner cried out in fear. Porco glanced at him, and after a nudge from Pieck, gave a weak smile. "H-Hey Reiner."
Ymir, who had grabbed Krista and moved away from the fighting also looked over in fear. Gulping, she asked "You're Marcel's brother." It wasn't a question. It was a statement. Everyone looked at Porco with a little bit of pity.
Grisha choked as the third man stood up. 'No. It couldn't be. Zeke?! They almost looked alike.' He wanted to embrace his son, but a voice inside his head told him to wait. He watched as small handshakes, and in Pieck's case, hugs, were given between the new arrivals and the three warriors.
The tension had dissipated between everyone on account of the new arrivals and while everyone glared at Annie, they resolved to deal with it later.
Reiner glanced at Porco as they sat behind them. "How far into the future are you guys?"
Porco stared at Bertholdt before answering Reiner. "Four years."
A small Titan opened its mouth and bit Mike's legs.
"WHAT?!" Mike exclaimed, "How did I end up there?"
Mike screamed in pain as the small titan continued to eat him.
"Wait."
A shadow fell over them and Mike looked up, as the Beast Titan lowered himself. Wind whipped up causing the tree branches to move. Mike was frozen in fear as The Beast Titan smiled at him.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?" Nanaba yelled.
"DID IT JUST TALK?" another Scout screamed.
Zeke's eyes widened.
After freezing for a moment the Titan opened its jaw again and bit into Mike's torso. Blood flew as Mike continued to struggle.
"Huh? Didn't I just say to wait?" The Beast Titan grabbed the small one and squeezed. An eyeball popped out and Mike fell to the ground.
Frightened, Mike watched the Beast flex his fingers.
"Tell me, what is that weapon called? That thing on your waist that flies around."
Mike was still too stunned to speak. Behind him, a Titan stood, behind a wall.
"I'm certain we speak the same language. Perhaps you're simply too frightened. Oh, I see you use swords, too. I guess that means you know we reside in the nape. Ah, well," the Beast Titan said as he reached out, "I'll just take it back with me."
Mike cried out, lying down, covering his head with his hands, trembling.
'Why am I so afraid? Is this seriously how I'll die? Bawling like a baby?'
The Beast Titan stood and walked away, Mike's ODM between his fingers.
Suddenly, Mike remembered his words to Nanaba. "Only when a person stops fighting do they lose."
Gritting his teeth, Mike picked up his sword. 'As long as we continue to fight…we are not beaten!' He let out a battle cry, stopping immediately when the Shifter stopped.
The Beast Titan looked back. "You can move now."
The three Titans moved in on Mike at once.
"No! No!" He dropped his sword and attempted to flee, sobbing, scared out of his mind. "Stop! Don't!" One grabbed his arm from behind while another Titan bit his leg. Mike kicked at it futilely. "No! No!"
The Beast Titan watched without much of an expression. "So you can speak." He walked away, staring at the gear between his fingertips. "I must say, what a clever idea."
"No!" Blood and tears were everywhere.
"No! Stop!" Mike continued to scream in agony as the sounds of chewing and squirting and tearing went on.
Erwin closed his eyes, Mike's screams echoing in his head. Mike was almost like a brother to him, and he was dying alone and scared. Erwin's eyes snapped open, the least he could do is watch his friend give his life.
One Titan bit his head and began to pull. "No!" He screeched as they ripped his body in two.
Mike was frozen as he watched himself be torn apart. When the screen faded out he slowly looked down at his lap.
Hange and Levi watched him, tentatively.
Erwin sighed and looked at his oldest friend, trying to formulate words to give him some comfort, only to find he had none to give.
Mike deeply exhaled and forced a chuckle, "Well. Looks we figured out where I was in all of this." Mike looked up, a deep glare rested on his face. "One of those new bastards did that. And I think I can figure out who."
Zeke paled, 'Shit.' Porco glanced at him and slowly edged away, he looked ahead and locked eyes with Bertholdt, the latter giving a slight nod. Porco nodded back and slumped, knowing another brawl would occur and they were definitely going to get hurt.
A whistling sound faded in, followed by a loud crash.
"What's that sound?" Gelgar looked at the stables to see them collapsed. He and Nanaba gasped. When the dust cleared, the horses were on the ground, bleeding.
"The horses!" Lynne exclaimed.
The whistling sound came again.
"Huh?" Henning asked confusedly.
"Again?!" Lynne glanced around.
"What the hell is that sound?!" Henning demanded.
A massive rock flew into the top of a tower.
Nanaba looked up to see broken pieces of rock and two bleeding bodies falling through the air. "Lynne! Henning!"
Lynne stared in shock at the screen while Henning screamed in outrage.
Gelgar glance at Nanaba fearfully, "Is it our turn now?"
Nanaba placed a hand on her friend's shoulder in response.
"You know what? I think I did a pretty good job myself. But the thing is…" A gash above Gelgar's face had spilt blood over his right side. "I wish I could have a drink before I go."
Nanaba looked at him and gasped, "Gelgar…"
"Sorry, Nanaba." He hung his head, blood dripping down. "I must've hit my head… I can't hold... any longer…" His hook loosened from the bricks as he fell.
"Gelgar!" Nanaba screamed, diving after him as a Titan caught him. Quickly appearing behind it, she brought her swords down. She destroyed the nape but her blades broke in the process.
The Titan slumped against the tower, its hand throwing Gelgar into a hole in the tower, before the Titan collapsed.
"Gelgar!" Nanaba's gear gave a short spurt, out of gas. "Damn it! Is that all I've got?" Hearing a thump behind her she turned around and gasped, expression twisting into fear at the six Titans smiling creepily at her.
Mike's heart thumped. 'Gelgar. Save her please. I-I can't lose her so soon.'
Coughing, Gelgar sat on his knees. He looked to the right and noticed a green bottle. He reached out to pick it up. "Thank God…" His fingers shaking, he removed the cap and held it up. Nothing came out.
Behind him, a Titan peeked through the hole Gelgar had been flung through. A few droplets fell below Gelgar's lips and tears gathered in his eyes.
"H-How cruel." The Titan reached in and picked him up.
"This just isn't fair," Gelgar screamed, waving his hand with the bottle and swinging his legs angrily. "Who the hell drank the rest of this bottle?!"
As the Titan pulled him out, Gelgar hit the back of his head against the top of the wall, knocking him out.
Gelgar froze as Lynne and Henning looked at him angrily. "S-Sorry Nanaba." Nanaba sighed, she gave a small smile and addressed the other two, "Don't be angry with him guys. He had no gas and no blades. There was nothing he could've done.
Reiner and Bertholdt stared through one battlement while Connie, Krista and Ymir looked down through another, Lynne and Hennings bodies behind them. Connie slid to his knees, forehead against the bricks. "They got him."
Reiner looked at Bertholdt who appeared to be contemplating something while staring at Zeke. "Why are we there?" Reiner said to himself quietly.
Bertholdt's eyes widened as he made a connection when he watched Zeke control the Titans. 'The way they moved... it was almost woodenly and during the night as well. Assuming we are still within the walls, then those Titans must have been recently turned within Wall Rose.'
Krista picked up a rock and threw it down. Ymir grabbed her arm. "Quit it, Krista! The tower's about to crumble! You'll fall!"
"But they're dying in our place! Nanaba…"
One Titan had Gelgar's head in its mouth, pulling his legs with its hand. Three other Titans had a hold of Nanaba, her right leg missing above the knee, as she screamed, "No! No!"
"And Gelgar…"
"Father, stop!" Nanaba cried as a 15-meter Titan grabbed her, shoving the face of another Titan away. "Father! I'm sorry!"
Krista and Ymir watched with stricken expressions.
"I won't do it again! Father! No!"
The two girls flinched as sounds of humans flesh being ripped and bones being broken were heard.
Levi blinked and turned towards Nanaba. The short haired woman was looking down. "Nanaba. Is your father still alive?"
Nanaba's head shot up at Commander Erwin's voice. The imposing man stared at her, a cold gaze zeroing in on her face.
"Y-yes sir. I joined the m-military to get away from him." Erwin could vaguely recall a tall, well-built man showing up at Scout HQ looking for Nanaba. He nodded and turned back to the front. "Hange, you have a list of things to do when we leave here?"
Hange nodded, a deep glare on their face too. "Make sure you put down a visit to Nanaba's father as a priority."
Mike's temper had reached peak rage, the possible abuse of one of his squad members overloaded him. The giant of a man spun and jumped off the back of the couch, he screamed and launched himself at Zeke. Zeke held his arms up to protect himself. He knew his comrades would have his back and watched a blur tackle Mike to the ground. However, after seeing Porco in his peripheral vision, he turned back to his saviour. Zeke was frozen in complete confusion after registering the man that had tackled Mike was none other than his dead-to-him father, Grisha Jaeger.
Grisha threw a punch at Mike, "DON'T YOU DARE HURT MY SON!"
Ymir Fritz sighed and sat back as the people from Marley and people from Paradis started another fight between them. She looked up to the ceiling. 'Now what?'
I have an Insta which has the same name as my profile. The picture is the Attack Titan. I will be posting update times and other things from there.
