"Italic font" Means someone is speaking in their head
*BOLD* Means sounds
"Normal Font" Normal conversation
Bold letters screaming
The sound of birds chirping wasn't what actually woke Morgana. It was the sensation that she was being watched...or in this case ogled.
"You know I can't sleep when you do this love" Morgana said as she rubbed her eyes before looking at her husband.
Merlin with his head on his arm just smiling at the sight of her.
"Gods what would I do without her?"
He'd rather not contemplate it; he wouldn't like the answers he'd come up with.
Neither would the world.
*Snap* *Snap*
Merlin looked back at Morgana who's smile always seemed to keep him anchored.
"Eyes on me Merlin"
"Don't worry it's not hard at all"
"Oh?"
Gods he loved that smirk, he could ravish her whole right now, in fact why isn't he?
"I'm waiting dear" Oh how Morgana loved to tease.
Lips mashed together as both mages battled for dominance. Some days Merlin won, others Morgana. Today? Well, it seems Merlin really wants her.
Turning her head she gave Merlin access to her neck, the feel of his hot mouth staking his claim was maddening.
Just as things were about to escalate however they heard a knock downstairs.
Merlin sat up, "Is that who I think it is?" Remembering the events of yesterday, realizing that no they weren't just bad dreams.
Morgana bit her lip, as she too sat up from the bed. "Yes, that's Mordred. I said he could be here this morning."
Merlin averted his gaze toward the window. Seeing the sunshine and the colorful autumn leaves blowing in the wing.
How different to how he feels deep down inside.
"Is it not enough that you let Arthur stay, now you brought Mordred?!" Merlin's thoughts now running at million kilometers per second.
Morgana sighed before leaning close to the panicked Warlock.
"That's just your guilt talking. Destiny wasn't exactly kind to Mordred any more than it was to us Merlin. You know this I know you do."
Merlin remembered at time when he was faced with a choice. Kill Mordred or smuggle him out of Camelot. Could he have avoided all of this if he had just listened to Kilgarrah and killed him when he was a child?
No.
He listened to Kilgarrah with Morgana and look at what happened to them. He nearly killed the love of his life, twice.
If only he told her the truth that night, the night she came to him begging for honesty. About her dreams, her magic, him…if only he wasn't a failure…if only he-
"Merlin!"
Merlin snapped from his thoughts as he looked at his wife with a concerned look on her face.
"Stop that. You know I hate it when you let your thoughts lead you to places you should never venture to" Morgana held his cheek as she pecked his lips.
"I forgave you centuries ago. I wish you would forgive yourself."
As Morgana opened the door she took in this new Mordred. A young man maybe about 18 with curly hair black on top but shaved sides. Somewhat lanky build but filling out by the looks of it, nerdy clothes well that's a bit of a surprise but she supposes it fits Mordred when he isn't out for revenge.
Overall, he looks more or less like the boy she saved and followed her into the path Destiny laid before them.
"Hello Morgana"
"Good morning Mordred, please come to the kitchen and wait."
Mordred came in taking a quick look around before sitting down waiting for whatever Morgana is looking to do.
*Sigh* "I'm going to get Arthur first, Merlin is…he'll come down when he's ready." Morgana than went to go and wake Arthur in the guest room while Mordred bit his lip wondering if he made the right choice in coming here.
After knocking several times with no answer, Morgana simply magicked the door open and waltzed in, I mean hey this is her house.
Expecting to see a sleeping Arthur she was a bit surprised to see he was already up.
"Did you not sleep?" Morgana inquired.
If Arthur's bags were any indication, if he did sleep than it wasn't much.
He turned his gaze from the window to her. "How can I possibly sleep when I keep seeing Gwen and Camelot being destroyed and I'm helpless to stop it?"
Morgana couldn't say she didn't pity Arthur, she'd probably be the same way if she were in his shoes. Thankfully however she isn't. She couldn't imagine Merlin being on his own given all that they witnessed and been through together. It was unfathomable.
"I can't say the pain ever really goes away Arthur."
Arthur gave her an odd look.
"I'd have thought you'd be pleased. You've tried killing Gwen for years, and if you couldn't have Camelot than you'd see it destroyed"
"I never wanted Gwen dead Arthur just the throne in which she sat. And as for Camelot being destroyed? Oh well, kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall. Happened long before your time and it has only continued after your time." Morgana spoke plainly as if she expected to hear this from her brother.
Arthur couldn't bother to come up with a rebuttal, he was far too tired and in mourning to care.
"Anyway Mordred is downstairs come with me and let's get this over with. I need a bloody coffee"
Let it be known that coffee is perhaps the greatest invention mortals have ever invented…or at least Top 10.
Arthur looked confused "Coffee?"
"You'll find out later, I don't plan on answering so many random questions so I'll sort it out once your downstairs"
Arthur looked skeptically before finally rising out of the bed and following Morgana to the kitchen.
Seeing Mordred again should have sent him into a panic, or rather reaching for his sword.
But honestly, he just doesn't care right now. And judging from the look on Mordred's face, he doesn't really know what to do himself.
"Well at least you two can follow instructions. Keep playing nice while I make breakfast" Morgana remarked.
Arthur and Mordred looked at each other stoically. It was such a surreal experience, to be seeing the eyes of the boy…man who killed him. And now for both of them to be brought back in one form or another begs to question for what reason?
Eventually both just decided to look anywhere but the other. Mordred opting to look at Morgana preparing coffee, toast, cheese, ham, and fruit.
While Arthur is looking toward the living room, noticing what he failed to last night. So many paintings littered the walls and tables. Some of Merlin, some of Morgana each wearing garments of strange kind. Some of these paintings didn't even look like it was done with a brush and ink but that it's as if the naked eye itself captured their images. One in particular showed Merlin and Morgana on what appears to be a boat with houses...on top of water? Though there were no colors to be seen just black and white.
All this seems to further validate what Morgana has been saying. She and Merlin really do seem to have history together…and apparently are married.
Once upon a time he would have cracked a joke about this.
Now?
He doesn't know what to think. His best friend who kept his magic from him and protected him all his life is married to their sworn enemy - his sister his once comrade. Does that make Merlin a traitor? Or does it mean Morgana has repented?
A cup set down in front of him as Arthur looked down at the table.
"It's coffee, sugary products weren't really around too much in our day so I didn't put any in yours. Give it a try." Morgana than put down the plates of food on the table with Mordred choosing to forgo the coffee in exchange for tea.
Arthur looked at this strange…tar looking liquid. It smelled decent enough, felt hot to the touch. He looked at Morgana suspiciously who quirked a brow at his insinuation.
"Why would I need poison to deal with you brother?"
Mordred snorted.
Fair enough. Arthur gently raised the cup to his lips and took a small sip of this coffee thing. Hmm, not too bad, a bit bitter but not the worst thing he ever drank.
To say that this was awkward was definitely the understatement of the century.
Each person looking at the others with alertness. As if one false move and the reactions would be swift.
"So, you're both here" Morgana gazed at both men as she decided to get down to business.
"…" Mordred looked at Arthur with a look of ponderance, as if he still didn't know what to make of him.
"So it seems" Arthur replied staring right back at Mordred.
"Well than, let's address the elephant in the room, shall we?" Morgana thought it best to rip the band aid right off to avoid further drama down the line.
"The elephant? But there isn't one in this room" Has his sister gone mad?
Morgana and Mordred both stared at him like he was a complete idiot. And hey not fair! He was literally brought back yesterday!
"It's just a figure of speech in this day and age Arthur, no need to worry. There are no elephants coming to eat you" Morgana
Hearing the snickering sound from Mordred made Arthur pop a vein.
"Oh shut up! Real easy to pick on someone who has zero knowledge of the modern age!"
"You're a big boy Arthur surely you can handle a little ribbing" Mordred was definitely having too much fun.
"Great retort was that before or after Morgana taught you to bark?" Arthur feeling really proud of that one.
Mordred rolling his eyes didn't seem so amused. To be frank neither was Morgana.
"Alright alright, look. You both killed each other and now you're both back. Well get over it, it's a new time and a new life so time to move on"
Arthur and Mordred turned to her with wide eyes.
"You're joking!/You can't be serious!" Mordred and Arthur shouted, both glaring at each other.
"Do I sound like I'm bloody joking? I mean honestly boys I'm far too disconnected to whatever the reason is that brought you here, so much so that I'd rather you'd have never come back at all." Morgana starring decisively at the two figures of Destiny.
"Well of course you wouldn't, but I don't care what you want. I came here for Merlin not you." Arthur keeping eye contact with Morgana who snorted at his little display of assertiveness.
"So you've made abundantly clear Arthur, but as I've told you. It's up to Merlin if he wants to talk to you. You're not going to force your way to him." Morgana will not be kowtowed by her idiot brother. Even if he came here with good intentions, he had no right to demand anything.
"Heh"
Morgana and Arthur looked at Mordred who gave a light smirk at Arthur.
"I missed the joke" Arthur grunted.
"You are the joke" Mordred shot back.
Morgana at this point was curious as to where this was going to go. Oh well she tried to keep things civil at least she'll get some entertainment out of this.
"You still think yourself a king who can command others to do his bidding. Last I checked Britain already has a monarch and it isn't you" Mordred sniped at Arthur.
Arthur's anger was paused as shock entered his being with a dash of confusion. Britain? Monarch?
"Ah yes I nearly forgot I said I didn't want to answer too many questions" Morgana commented, eyes turning from emerald green to molten gold as she gazed at Arthur.
" Argraffwch arno wybodaeth y byd"
As if in a tsunami, 1500 years worth of knowledge flooded Arthur's mind.
The former King gripping his head as he tried to make sense of all the visions he was seeing, the equations he was solving, the literature he was reading. The United Kingdom, the current Queen, there was even an empire that spanned the globe. Hell the world was a globe and not flat! And in another second it was over, but the weight of all that knowledge wasn't exactly pleasant.
"How do you feel?" Morgana inquired. She didn't exactly test this out before doing it, it was just a theory on her end but oh well. He's still alive he'll be fine.
"W-what have you done to me?" Dizziness kept overwhelming Arthur as his migraine kept pounding at him.
Mordred looked on curiously, though once he heard the language of the old religion he knew exactly what spell she used.
"I told you Arthur, I don't have the patience to continue answering question after question at least not about generical topics. I've just cast a spell on your mind to open it to the knowledge that is common today. The advancements of science, history, and social norms to name a few. Hopefully this way it makes telling our story go by a lot quicker."
Arthur kept rubbing his head trying to settle down the pounding in his head, not wanting to look weak in front of both of his enemies. Especially Mordred.
Morgana turned to Mordred and asked "While he's busy, explain to me exactly why you wanted to come here?"
Mordred thought about it and honestly he didn't really know. He was simply at his current parents home wondering what to do with his life now that he graduated secondary school. Once the afternoon hit he was blasted with memories of a bygone age. Of his birth, his love, his death. The common denominators? Merlin and Morgana. As if by fate did he cross paths with Morgana at the local supermarket in Glastonbury.
She called Merlin the second he came to her and it didn't really sound like Merlin was very happy to hear that Mordred was back amongst the living.
Is it weird? Yes. Prior to yesterday he was simply Alex Vlahos. Now he's some figure of a dreadful prophecy according to Morgana. Brought back for a specific purpose.
"I was hoping you would know Morgana. Being a seer you're privy to seeing the future. I was rather expecting you have to had the answers by now" Mordred was hoping at least.
Morgana shook her head. "I haven't had a vision of the future in ages. Could that change? Maybe. But I can't help you there, speculation is all we have at the moment it seems."
Though maybe Aithusa could be of assistance? Merlin was planning on visiting her before this mess began anyway.
She turned her gaze back to Arthur who seem to finally be settling down as his breathing normalized.
"Better?"
Arthur pondered for a moment before nodding yes.
"It's funny really"
Mordred and Morgana looked at him curiously as he continued.
"I was raised under the belief that there was always honor in battle, to look even your most foul enemy in the eye as you take their life to give them the proper respect they deserve."
"..."
"..."
Arthur looked haunted as the knowledge he was now privy to was so fundamentally opposed to what his view was.
"These modern weapons, guns, tanks, thermonuclear bombs...it...it frightens me that the world has come this far as to be able to kill an entire nation with the press of a button." Suddenly Arthur feels ill-equipped even with his most trusted sword at hand.
Mordred couldn't help but concur, his thought process was the same when he finally regained his memories. And to think he was simply in blissful ignorance just a day ago.
Morgana nodded. "Be thankful I gave you the mere generalization. For you haven't even seen the worse that humanity has ever done with those weapons."
It's as though the mere topic was draining Morgana of her vigor, both men noticed.
"Morgana, what happened to Merlin? Why does he seem so...?" Arthur was hesitant to think of the proper word.
"It's been a long time Arthur. Merlin told me once about the promise you made him give. Honestly it was always unrealistic to ask him to never change especially if he changes due to uncontrollable circumstances."
Arthur doesn't think he's ever heard Morgana sound so melancholic.
"You've both been around since the days of old, am I to presume to that you've been around the major events of known history?" Mordred pondered.
Morgana bit her lip as she wondered what she could say without divulging too much. She still doesn't know if she wants to tell them with Merlin or if it's better for his health if she just does it herself...
Merlin gazed out into the clouds from his bedroom as he contemplated what to do. He knew at some point he had to face the music. But honestly he'd rather just try his hand at another pointless mortal job that bores him than to even see either Arthur or Mordred again.
Both just spell doom by their mere existence, and he couldn't stand the fact that at some point the next shoe will drop.
Mordred. Could have he handled him better? Yes. Could he have spared Kara? He doesn't know. Kara wasn't going to stop trying to kill Arthur no matter what.
But before all that, could he have at least given Mordred the benefit of the doubt. Well in hindsight sure why the hell not. It's always easy to say what you could have or should have done after the fact.
However.
Mordred didn't need to try and kill everyone else. He didn't need to try to go after Camelot as a whole. If he wanted to take revenge on Merlin fine. Arthur? Okay. But Gwen? Gaius? The cook, the servants, the smiths, the ordinary folk of Camelot? They didn't do anything to deserve his wrath.
So honestly he's at a loss on how to feel about Mordred.
He doesn't hate him, but he doesn't like him either.
Than there's Arthur.
"Heh" What a bitter chuckle.
What words does he have to describe Arthur Pendragon? His usual list of funny gags? Or an entirely new list of hard truths and scornful lies?
He could spend all day here thinking that Arthur was the best friend he ever had.
Just as much as he could be here thinking that Arthur was the worst thing to ever happen to him ever.
"He's my best friend"
"He's my ball and chain"
"He saved my life"
"He abandoned us"
"He's my Destiny"
"FUCK DESTINY!"
If the two sides of Merlin can agree on anything it's that yes, fuck Destiny indeed.
Merlin took deep breaths, remembering the last time his temper took control...poor Lisbon was never the same again.
"Maybe Aithusa can help me?"
Ever since the death of Kilgarrah, Aithusa has grown into a worthy successor of the Great Dragon...minus the riddles and spiteful manipulation.
All in all he's just grateful that the Goddess at least gifted him with Morgana.
Had she not found him just sitting there on the lakeshore, contemplating trying his hand at retrieving Excalibur to end his life. Well the trajectory of the future would have looked very different.
It wasn't always smooth sailing but Merlin will always be grateful to her for being there when it mattered. Until finally they cemented their love in matrimony.
If only his mother could have been there, she always wanted him to settle down. But at least she didn't have to see her son become a monster.
"When I returned to this world, my first thought was to find Merlin and gut him" Morgana remembering it as if it were yesterday.
Arthur and Mordred just watched her silently as she filled them in.
"To say that he was a mere shell of his former self is putting it mildly, he didn't care one bit that I was trying to kill him. In fact he seemed relieved if anything, he simply gave up. Of course nothing I tried worked, he's Emrys after all.
Eventually I left to venture north to what is now Scotland, and at some point Merlin would return to Camelot to look after Gwen and what was left of your knights. I would never see Camelot again, good riddance. Any knowledge of that time that I have, I have only due to Merlin. So if you wish to know the fate of your wife and your people you'll just have to ask him" Morgana took a big sip from her now cold coffee, reheating it with magic.
Arthur had mixed feelings, hearing that Morgana tried repeatedly to kill Merlin should have been expected. But given how she's been acting since he returned, well it's confusing to say the least.
"I know what you're probably both thinking, how did we go from me wanting to kill Merlin every time we crossed paths to being married. Well it was a very long road. It helps that we live forever I suppose. Kinda narrows down the list of people who can truly understand our plight.
But really it wasn't until around 5 centuries later during the High Middle Ages that our meetings finally turned cordial. At least I didn't attack him. I should say also not once since your death Arthur has Merlin ever fought back, I just think that all the fight he had died with you and that he kept hoping that I would succeed in killing him. It annoyed me to say the least because I wanted a fair fight to prove I was the superior being, but even I had to admit defeat once it became quite obvious Merlin was suicidal."
Mordred was becoming quite engrossed by the story, he had only ever known Merlin as either the fake goofy manservant to the king or the Divine Enforcer Emrys.
As for Arthur to say he felt guilty is an understatement. How much of Merlin's issues is Arthur's fault?
Morgana sighed as she knew the deeper parts of their past were going to start coming.
"You can imagine Merlin didn't take too kindly to the fact that William the Conqueror managed to usurp your Destiny, uniting all the Kingdoms of Albion into England. Of course the voices in Merlin's head would try to convince him that he was yourself reincarnated. That was enough for Merlin to at least take a backseat just to verify if it truly was you. When he deemed that William wasn't you it was already too late. England was formed but no magic to be found."
Arthur wondered than, since the UK is well "United" what was he here for? William the Conqueror already set the stage and got his job done for him.
"Fast forward a few centuries and we have perhaps the greatest plague in the world's history the Black Death. This was the first instance in which Merlin believed you would return. The population of Europe was declining rapidly and there was hardly any coherent leadership. It was the perfect time for you to take the reigns and guide the people to stability and prosperity once again. Of course that didn't happen.
That's when Merlin's mental health began to decline rapidly. I'm afraid I only noticed when he tried to take his life with excalibur."
Arthur and Mordred gasped, shocked that Merlin actually nearly succeeded in killing himself.
"But wait! I thought my sword was guarded by the Lady of the Lake, how did Merlin get it back?!" Arthur was nervous as to where this was heading.
That's when the men noticed Morgana getting a bit irritated to say the least at the reminder that the Lady – Freya and Merlin had some history. To this day it angers her that this random girl managed to completely besot Merlin enough for him to abandon his Destiny for.
Of course Merlin has told her time and again that his love for Freya was merely a crush. Born as a result of the belief that Morgana could never return his feelings. Okay fine.
She has the last laugh anyway, she has Merlin while Freya is stuck swimming till the end of time.
It wasn't lost on Morgana just how petty she was being, but oh well.
"Look all you need to know is that she didn't know what Merlin was planning to do with the sword. And once it happened it didn't matter anyway."
Now Arthur and Mordred looked confused.
"I mean yes we know Merlin is alive today, but what's to stop him from simply getting excalibur from Arthur and trying to kill himself again?" Mordred asked with Arthur making sure his sword remained glued to him.
Morgana took a deep breath.
"By the time I found Merlin near the Lake of Avalon he had already pierced his heart with excalibur."
Arthur and Mordred looked shocked.
"I didn't know how to feel at the time I thought it was all I wanted, his death. But I didn't realize that that would mean that...at that moment I was alone. The only one left. Until the morning that is, because the sword removed itself from Merlin's body and his wound healed before he opened his eyes."
"You mean not even excalibur can kill him?" Mordred couldn't believe it, a sword forged from Dragon's breath was said to be the bane of all magical beings. And yet Merlin...Emrys managed to survive a fatal blow by excalibur?
Arthur was more relieved than anything, now he doesn't have to be so concerned of Merlin trying to snatch his sword to kill himself without his knowledge. Still it saddens him to hear how far his friend's despair had taken him.
"I'm surprised you don't know this already Mordred being a druid and all?" Morgana inquired.
Mordred blushed, berating himself silently that he should know.
Arthur snickered causing Mordred to glare and Morgana to roll her eyes.
"Like I told Arthur, Merlin is Emrys he's magic incarnate. Magic comes from the earth, due to Uther's purge all magic that perished in sorcerers since the time of Camelot returned to Emrys. Barring a few sacred sites of course such as the Crystal Cave. I'm the only person left in the world who has magic aside from him. So long as this world exists so to will magic and thus Emrys." Morgana's eyes flashed gold as she sent the dirty dishes to be washed.
"Huh, so that explains why no one in the world can use magic. It all recycled back to Merlin centuries ago" Mordred said.
"Indeed."
Arthur was deep in thought and than asked Morgana what happened after.
"Once his last hope of dying failed, honestly for a time things actually got better. Merlin finally accepted his immortal nature and worked to see the positives of such a power. Coincidentally it coincided with the Renaissance that Merlin may or may not have helped whisper a few ideas to some notable influential people.
It was really after the Age of Discovery when our relationship went from cordial to romantic. And I'll never forget that day." Arthur could see the beginning of a smile form on Morgana's lips as she remembered that eventful day.
"What happened?" He was dying to know. How did they go from bitter enemies to what appears to be from these photos a loving couple?
Morgana looked at a particular painting from across the room, showing her and Merlin when he proposed to her on a canal boat in Venice during the 18th Century.
"He saved me, you see just because I couldn't die didn't mean I couldn't feel pain. That I couldn't be tortured. It was in America 1692 when I grew careless with my magic and was caught unaware by Witchfinders."
Arthur and Mordred looked shocked at the very notion of Witchfinders still being around at that time.
"Even over 1000 years after his death and an entirely different continent, Uther's traditions of burning witches remained strong. No matter the fact that I was the only actual Witch they tried to burn.
I was strapped to the stake and right before the flames were lit. Out charges Merlin like a ferocious storm destroying a town. Truly I've never seen him so ruthless, so violent, so...breath taking. Finally a snap of his fingers and they all went down. He didn't kill them, he wanted to but later he told me that he didn't want to prove them right. To prove Uther right."
Arthur looked down as he remembered all the sorcerer burnings and executions under his father. And how he just stood there letting it happen.
"Of course I told him that was nonsense, he didn't do anything out of malice...he saved me from one of my greatest fears. From that point onward we became nearly inseparable." Morgana looking at the ring with a smile as she still wonders how this all became possible.
Arthur couldn't help but smile himself, he still doesn't know how he feels about Morgana herself, but at the very least he's happy that she and Merlin found some happiness.
Mordred was a bit torn, on one hand he considers it unfair that Merlin got to be with his love yet he couldn't be with his. However on the other hand both Merlin and Morgana have been through a lot, so if they can somehow achieve a happy ending than should that not inspire hope for him?
"Fast forward a few decades we're married at what was once Ealdor. Not far from the tree where he buried his mother, it was a nice small ceremony with close friends who knew us at the time. Along with our dragon Aithusa."
Arthur briefly remembering the small white dragon that rode with Morgana to battle at Camlann. He's assuming it was Merlin who hatched her being a dragonlord and everything.
"Everything was great, eventually the world began to rapidly modernize and more rights were being given to women and minorities, more opportunities for the poor. There wasn't much in the way of chaos. I mean sure you had your Napoleon's and your revolutions but they were miniscule compared to what came in the 20th century." Morgana paused, wondering if perhaps she should stop now before she says something she can't take back.
"What is it?" Mordred asked.
"..." Morgana bit her lip, should she really go into this?
Regardless the discussion would have to wait. As footsteps were being heard coming down the stairs.
Out came Merlin in a brown flannel, blue shirt underneath, blue jeans and brown boots.
Morgana looked him straight in the eye, wondering if perhaps he wants to take the lead?
But alas twas not to be.
"I'm going to see Aithusa if you need anything just let me know via scry." Merlin didn't even look at Arthur or Mordred. Only the latter getting the message that now wasn't the time.
Arthur however...well...
"Merlin wait I-"
But Morgana cut Arthur off
"Of course love, I have to get you a new phone anyway. Please take care to refrain from smashing the next one they aren't cheap ya know?"
"Yes my Queen" Merlin snickered as he two-finger saluted his wife goodbye than morphed into a Raven, flying off into the horizon.
Morgana looked on with a smile, but also concerned that Merlin's mental progress these past number of decades are being challenged.
Was it fair to blame Arthur and Mordred for it? Maybe not.
Did it feel good anyway? Yes.
Arthur looked on in awe and sadness as it seems he still can't talk to Merlin. But hopefully soon they can begin to clear the air between them.
"Alright boys that's enough story time for today I have much to do. However since you're practically a newborn babe in this world Arthur, Mordred's gonna take you clothes shopping." Morgana smirked as she got up and went for her jacket and car keys.
"WHAT?!" Arthur/Mordred shouted. Once again glaring at each other.
"You heard me, Mordred you were practically a bum mooching off your parents anyway so you might as well be useful and show Arthur how to live in the 21st Century." Morgana said tossing him her credit card.
"Do make sure not to go over 500 quid." Morgana checked to make sure she has everything she needs before leaving.
"Wait! What about the reason why I'm even here?! Destiny brought us all here for a purpose!"
Morgana's eye flashed gold as she glared at Arthur vehemently, causing both he and Mordred to take a step back as the very air around them chilled.
"I'm only going to say this once, never ever talk about that again. Understand?" If there was ever a time not to piss off Morgana it was now.
"You can't be serious?" Arthur was astounded that Morgana would rather keep her head in the sand than figure this out.
"I'm not going to let you" Pointing at Arthur "You" Mordred "Or fucking Destiny ruin all that I've built! To break Merlin even more than it already has!" The glass in the windows and kitchen began to crack under the pressure of Morgana's rage.
Finally she regained her composure and looked gloomily two now intimidated warriors.
"Destiny has taken enough from us and I refuse to allow you two to drag us back into it's clutches. Never again. Now get going before I forget my manners and turn you into an ant so I can stomp on you." With that Morgana left to her car.
Leaving Mordred and Arthur to pick up the pieces...literally her windows and glasses are shattered. But now there's only one question on their minds.
"What do they do now?"
