AN: I'm sorry for every mistake I made

"Calliope, are you sure I should stay here?" Arizona asked for fifth time in the last hour. She was setting the table, helped by Sofia.

"For last time, Arizona. Yes. I'm more than sure, sweetie. I'm absolutely sure..." Callie answered from the kitchen. She had been cooking for the last hours and couldn't let her place there.

Since Sofia's birth, Callie and Mark have had dinner together one Friday a month. They used to call it their family dinner. Despite they could have more dinner per month or have another outing the latina thought that as they couldn't give Sofia a big family, they should share something like that.

Mark didn't have anybody, and Callie's family wasn't so close since Callie had declared herself bisexual when her father knew about Arizona. However, when Sofia was born and as Callie wasn't with another woman openly, the relationship with her mother was complicated but they were talking again, thanks her father who interceded with Lucia.

He loved her daughter and was hard to accept her life's choice at first but, all that mattered for him was his child's happiness and deeply inside himself, he hated the sadness she watched in her eyes since Arizona left.

He knew that Callie was stubborn and she wouldn't try to talk with her mother, so he had a hard work with both of them but he had made huge progress in the last few years. Actually, Lucia as well as him come for Sofia's birthdays and Christmas. Even sometimes, Callie and Sofia spend holidays with them in Miami.

Sofia is Carlos's weakness. He couldn't be more happy with his grandchild. The girl knew how to win her grandparent's love, even Lucia who was unwilling to accept a child out of marriage felt towards Sofia's charm. But they weren't too close either, so Callie had the need to make something for Sofia as family.

"I like you're dinner with us." Sofia stated smiling warmly. "You'll take seat here." Sofia pointed to a place next to her. "And mommy can seat here..." The girl pointed to another place while she put the napkin. "What do you think?" Sofia asked grinning.

"I think you chose a perfect place for me... just between my favorite people in the world..." Arizona answered tickling the girl.

The laughs from the living room made Callie lean out to the kitchen to see what's going on. She couldn't but smile watching them interact. Everytime she saw Arizona and Sofia together was a dream come true for her.

A knock on the door put an end to the play. Arizona sighed deeply. For a reason that she didn't know, she felt very nervous with the idea to join the dinner. She knew that were just Mark and Lexi, but she couldn't control herself.

"Honey, could you open the door, please? I'm just finishing here." Callie asked, rushing to the kitchen again.

"Sure..." Arizona replied trying to hide her worry and walked to the door just to welcome the guest. Of course Sofia already had run and opened the door.

"Daddy!" The little girl exclaimed and jumped towards Mark.

"Hello, princess..." Mark took Sofia and watched the blonde standing just a few steps away looking at them a little tense. "Arizona, how are you?" He asked kindly and hugged her to break the ice he was feeling.

"I'm fine, thank you. Come in, please." She turned her head and noticed Lexi smiling at her excited. "Lexi, hi... It's nice to see you again." Arizona said honestly.

"Oh my god, Arizona. I still can't believe you're here... Do you remember me now?" Lexi asked enthusiastically. "Because, you know, the last time we - "

"Sweetie..." Mark warned her with subtlety. "Excuse her, since she is pregnant she can't control her mouth sometimes..." The man explained awkwardly.

"I'm pretty sure, she couldn't before either..." Arizona whispered in Mark's ear. "It's getting bigger," She said, watching Lexi's belly.

Instinctively Lexi caressed it. A huge smile adorned her face. "Yes..." Answered proudly. Mark kissed her softly.

"Come on. Came in! The dinner is ready." Callie told putting the platter on the table.

"Sof, sweetie, go wash your hands." Arizona said unconsciously but a second ago noticed the girl was still in Mark's arms. "Oh.. sorry I didn't... I'll go to help Callie" She rushed to leave. She felt out of place, she was telling the girl what to do when her father was there, but she couldn't help it, her interaction with Sofia was natural.

Mark noticed Arizona's discomfort but didn't say anything. He just put her daughter on the floor so she could go to wash her hands and went with her wife towards the table.

"Torres, this smell is delicious as usual" He told his friend watching the food.

"Thank you" She turned her head and seeing Arizona was still in the kitchen she got close to him. "Please, be nice with her, she is very nervous" Callie murmured at her best friend.

"Come on! You're offending me, I'm always nice!" He smirked.

The latina just rolled her eyes. "Please, I beg you." Mark nodded. "Ok, enjoy it" The brunette said when all the guests were at the table.

As the minutes passed Arizona was feeling more comfortable. The chat was entertaining, Sofia entertained the diners by telling anecdotes that Arizona obviously did not know.

The blonde laughed at the occurrences of the little girl, who was even more excited to notice that her stories were well received and she seemed not to want to stop.

"I still can't believe you're here with us" Lexi commented with a wide smile on her face.

"Thank you", Arizona replied a bit shy since she wasn't sure her answer was correct. In that instant, he felt Callie's hand on his and gave it a gentle squeeze.

Mark took his glass and raised it. "I think this deserves a toast. You don't?" He winked affectionately at Arizona.

"Of course!" Lexi was the first to respond cheerfully.

"Sorry honey, you can't," He said affectionately caressing his wife's prominent belly.

"I won't toast with water because it's bad luck. But I won't drink wine, don't worry. You know it's bad luck to toast with water, right?" Lexi asked the women who only managed to nod.

"Should I toast with wine too?" Sofia asked, she did not want anyone to have bad luck because of her, and if for that she had to toast with wine, she would have no problem doing so. After all, if Lexi could later drink the water, she would do the same with her soda.

The adults began to laugh at the occurrence of the girl. "No need, sweety" Callie replied.

Sofia frowned in confusion. "But Lexi said it brings bad luck ..."

"That's only for adults baby, you can toast with your glass ..." Arizona clarified.

For Sofia if Arizona said it it had to be true, there was no doubt

Mark cleared his throat: "I toast because Arizona can be here with us as part of our family"

"To Arizona, who represents a miracle that doctors cannot understand. It's amazing, against all the odds she is here with us, you know what the chances are of ..." Lexy's toast was interrupted by Mark

"Honey ..." he took his wife's hand indicating that she should be quiet. Lexy understood right away

"I'm sorry", she apologized "To Arizona" she concluded his toast with an awkward smile at the annoyed look from Callie, who immediately turned her gaze towards Arizona which seemed to have gotten uncomfortable

"I toast because life gave me the possibility of being with the woman I love again, because no matter the circumstances or the distances, our destinies will always be united, because we love each other and we are going to fight together, right?" she was looking into Arizona's eyes who nodded with a smile "always" replied with a contrite voice

"Ok, let's get on with dinner" said Mark trying to brighten up the meeting

"Dad! I haven't toasted yet!" Sofia protested

"Sorry, you're right honey"

"Go ahead Sof, your turn" Callie said with a smile, she was proud of how big her daughter was.

"I toast because I want Arizona to stay with us forever, you will?" she innocently asked Arizona, who felt her eyes suddenly fill with tears, she saw so much love in the girl's eyes and she suddenly felt the weight of not letting her down, but how could she promise something that was out of her reach? There was nothing she wanted more than that, but she couldn't promise anything, and she knew it.

She excused herself and got up quickly from the table and went to the bathroom "Sorry"

Sofia frowned "Did I do something wrong?" the girl did not understand what she had said to cause that reaction in Arizona, she had not intended to make her feel bad and could not understand why Arizona seemed so sad after her toast

"She doesn't want to be with us forever mommy?" he asked innocently.

Callie looked at her sadly as she stopped before to reach her. "Of course yes, Sof, it is what she wants the most, she was only moved by your words, but don't worry, there is nothing she wants more ..." she kissed the girl's cheek and went to the bathroom

"Arizona baby what's up?" Callie knocked softly on the door "Can I come in?" She asked sweetly, she could hear the Arizona sobs, and when she received no answer she decided to enter

"Hey, honey, tell me what's wrong?" Callie felt sorry for Arizona, her heart sank seeing her like that, her eyes were red and tears were running down her cheeks.

"I can't Callie, I can't" Arizona's words choke on tears

"I don't understand, you can't?" Callie took his cheek to lift his face and get the woman to look at her "tell me ..."

"I can't do this to Sofia ..." she said weakly

Callie sighed, at that instant she understood what Arizona meant. "sweetie .."

"No, Callie, you don't understand, you, Mark, I, all we know what we're up against, and you're willing to be by my side and I really appreciate it ... last days with you, no matter if they are many or few, is something for which I am grateful"

Callie listens carefully to the words of Arizona

"Maybe it is selfish of me, because I know what you will have to go through" Callie decided to interrupt

"stop there Arizona, there's nothing I want more than to be with you, it doesn't have to do with selfishness, it's love, because we love each other, do you hear me?"

"But Sofia can't decide Callie, she's very young, and neither of us thought about the effects it might have on her ... what will happen when I die? Will we knowingly put her through that?"

"Arizona ..." Calli tried to answer

"God... or worse yet, what if I lose my memory again? That would be worse than dying outright ... I can't do this to him Callie. I can't .."

"Enough!" Callie interrupted firmly. "Sofia can be a kid, and if you ask me, obviously she is going to suffer if something happens to you, if something happens to you" she remarked "but in the same way that if something happens to me, or Mark or Lexy ... None of us have bought our lives Arizona, and don't you think it won't suffer if you walk away now? And what about me? Do you think I'll be happy if you do?" Callie asked angrily

"I just want you both to be happy, I don't want either of you to suffer" Arizona declared looking into her eyes

Callie smiled sadly. "The only way to achieve that is for you to be with us, and for that you must fight Arizona, you cannot give up, and you must take away these crazy ideas of leaving us, because that would only make us completely unhappy, do you understand?" Callie looked at Arizona waiting for an answer "do you understand?"

Arizona nodded "Callie ..." she said doubtfully

"Mmm"

"Are you sure what we are doing?"

Callie gently cupped her face "Do you love me?"

Arizona looked surprised "More than anything in the world, Sofia and you are my world"

Callie smiled "So I'm completely sure, we're going to go through this together, can you hear me? I'm going to fight by your side, but I need you not to give up, ok? Don't leave us, not again..." She said with a broken voice

"I won't, I'm going to fight with all my strength, nothing and no one will keep me away from my girls ..." Arizona kissed Callie, the kiss started sweet and turned passionate

"I would like to continue doing this for hours, but I think we should go back to the table or they will worry" said Callie, separating a few inches from the blonde

"You're right" Arizona sighed

"But, we will continue with this later, you are not going to get rid" Callie whispered in her lover's ear.

"I don't even want to do it" Arizona replied as they approached the table

"Finally! You are back, I'm hungry, and here Sof won't let me eat a bite" Mark teased the girl

"It's rude daddy" Sofia said looking at her father and rolling her eyes

"She's right Mark, you must behave" Arizona winked at Sofia

"Arizona, are you mad at me?" Sofia asked distraught

"What? Of course not Sof" said feeling guilty

"But after my toast you got sad" sofia pouted

"Sofia, your toast was the best I've ever heard, I just had to get up because, becaus .."

"She needed to go to the bathroom quickly" Callie interrupted to save her

"You couldn't hold on?" asked innocently

Arizona, like the rest of the diners, laughed at the naivety of the girl "Nope, I couldn't stand me, I'm sorry" Arizona apologized

"It's okay, sometimes it happens to me" Sofia assured and Arizona smiled at her

Callie was looking at Arizona and Mark noticed the sadness in her eyes

"Everything is fine?" he asked softly to avoid being overheard

Callie looked at him and nodded, looking back at the two most important people in her life, she knew it would be a tough fight, but it was worth every minute that she and her daughter could enjoy the blonde in their lives. "I love you" he said silently when their gazes met.
