A/N: Hey guys :) look at me go two chapters in two years yeeehawww. This is kind of a filler chapter but also not really? I wanted it to be longer but I just feel like the content for next chapter will be a lot so i cut this a lil short. Also i know this is based on the OG PP but i felt like some characters from PP2 fit in this story so... I had to include Kommissar in this. Also i cant decide if i want chloe to discover beca's spidey quickly (as in next chapter quickly but it will be like a funny discovery) or if i wanna drag it out a little bit more. lmk what you guys think i should do in the comments or on my Tumblr: commanderlexagriffin. I hope you enjoy this chapter and what a gay mess beca is and will continue to be in this story. let me know what ya think :) hope all of you are staying safe and healthy!

"You've got to be kidding me," Beca muttered as she reached the bank's vault. She had easily taken out the few men that were guarding the entrance. It seemed as though all the other grunts were at the smaller branch, keeping the police occupied, while this was a much smaller operation. Luckily there weren't any civilians or employees at this branch due to the fact they had closed early after the other bank being attacked.

What wasn't lucky was who stood before her. Someone she didn't expect to see all the way down in Georgia. The long blonde hair, black mask covering piercing blue eyes, and matching black leather covering a tall, athletic body. That familiar smirk in place, like this was just a fun little game to the other woman.

"What in the world are you doing here?" Beca questioned, wondering why fate could be so cruel sometimes. The building was still billowing smoke, and flames were surrounding them other than a few clear paths.

"I missed you, Spidey," Black Cat replied flirtatiously, her thick German accent making the hairs on the back of Beca's neck rise regardless of the high temperature in the room. The taller woman knew how to get under Beca's skin, and it bothered her to no end. She hated how she was such a floundering mess in front of beautiful women. "How could you leave me all by myself in the big city?"

"Wait, you're telling me you did all this just to get my attention?!"

"Of course I did," she said as she stalked her way over to the shorter woman. She placed a delicate hand on Beca's shoulder and pressed her body against the hero's. Beca hated how her hands instinctively went to her hips. She mentally cursed herself out for being so damn weak. "We didn't finish our game of Cat and Spider."

"And how was that supposed to end?" Beca questioned, feeling heat rise up from her neck into her cheeks. She wanted to blame it on the fire but knew it was more from nervousness around the other woman.

"Well, I was hoping you'd finally take that mask off," Black Cat purred into Beca's ear. "Really show me what's underneath that suit."

Beca pulled away, not wanting to get any deeper into this situation than she already seemed to be. She had never really minded the flirtation between them beforehand, but Barden was changing a lot of how Beca viewed things. At least she told herself it was Barden, and not the doing of a specific redhead. Truthfully, it felt wrong being in the embrace of Black Cat, even though her and Chloe weren't even anywhere close to dating. She didn't even know if Chloe would consider her a friend yet. She just couldn't help but think about how she would much rather be in the presence of the journalist instead.

"Sorry Miss Cat, but that's not going to happen," Beca said, rejecting the woman's advances. "I'm very busy, and can't afford to be getting distracted."

"Back to playing hard to get, huh? Has someone else already captured your attention in the short time you were away from me?"

"Of course not," the hero lied. "I just can't get caught up in games, especially if they're leading to stunts like this."

"No fun, little Spidey," Black Cat sighed, stepping away to grab a duffel bag full of presumably cash from the vault. "Well if you change your mind you know I'll be around."

She went to walk out of the vault but Beca quickly shot a web at the bag and pulled it from her grasp. She turned around with an irritated expression, but didn't put up a fight.

"You really are a fun sucker now," she huffed in frustration. The annoyance didn't last long though, because she had just as big of a soft spot for Beca as Beca had for her. Her eyes softened and instead of the sultry smile she usually shot at the smaller woman, one of genuine care graced her lips instead. "Seriously though, if you need anything, I'll be around."

"Thanks, Cat. I'll keep that in mind."

With that said, the blonde exited the vault. Beca took a moment to gather herself before also leaving, and decided to just leave Cat's henchmen to take the fall for this one. She knew the blonde was smart enough to disable any security footage before entering, so there's no proof that would lead to her. Also the raging fire would probably destroy most of the equipment in the bank. She knew it was wrong of her to let Black Cat go, but the antiheroine had valuable information about other villains, and if she got caught, Beca would no longer have access to that intel. She might even be helpful with tracking down what was going on in Barden and who was responsible.

Beca brought the duffel bag of cash out with her so the bank wouldn't suffer as much loss as they would have if she let it burn. There were already firefighters and police officers that arrived at the scene, handling the flames as well as detaining the men that Black Cat had hired to help her in this heist. She turned the bag in to the police and explained what she found, omitting the blonde's presence even though it tied her stomach up in knots of guilt.

Red hair in her peripherals caught her attention and she excused herself from the officers. She made her way over to the crowd that had formed further away from the burning building.

"I thought I told you to go home," Beca teased as she approached Chloe. The redhead for her part had the decency to look slightly guilty.

"I think in the little time we've gotten to spend together you got to know me well enough to know that I wasn't going to listen to you," Chloe shot back with a grin. Her grin then turned into a look of worry, as the circumstances of their little run-in hit her. "What happened in there? Is everyone okay? Are you okay?"

"You mind if we talk about this somewhere else… off the record?" Beca asked, not wanting to be near the burning bank anymore.

"Of course. Anywhere specific you had in mind?"

"I do, actually. Care for another ride?" Beca asked as she extended her hand out to the redhead. Chloe flashed that dazzling smile of hers before taking her hand. Beca easily lifted her up and into the position that had seemingly become so easy and comfortable between the two, and she took off towards the destination she had in mind.

Beca took Chloe to a quiet, little pond that she had come across while navigating the city. It was a beautiful view near a set of abandoned train tracks, that was such a change from the views she got in New York. So much of nature was on display, from little animals running around, to the colorful foliage on all the trees. She liked it here on the ground where nobody would disturb them. She was used to having to go high up into the sky to get a moment of peace and quiet.

They sat on the ground close to the water, and Chloe took her sneakers off to dip her feet in. Beca took a moment to appreciate the view of Chloe looking totally content. She had on a sapphire blue button up blouse, and black skinny jeans that she cuffed so her pants wouldn't get wet. The journalist took in a deep breath of fresh air and admired the view that Beca had brought her to.

"So, what happened?" Chloe asked, focusing her attention back to Beca. If she had noticed Beca staring, she didn't comment on it, for that the hero was grateful.

"Someone that I have a… strange connection to set the whole thing up to get my attention," Beca explained, nervously fiddling with her hands in her lap. "I let her go because she has information about the ins and outs of the criminal circle, and she's even helped me take some major enemies down."

"So she's totally into you," Chloe teased, not phrasing it as a question because anyone crazy enough to pull a stunt like that just for the attention of someone else must have major feelings. However, she was a bit skeptical of why the hero would trust someone who seemed to be playing both sides, which became clear when she continued. "But don't you think it's a bit dangerous to trust someone like that? I mean, she's caused multiple injuries and a ton of destruction just for you to notice her. People could have died if you hadn't shown up when you did. Is there a possibility you may have feelings for her as well that could be clouding your judgment?"

"No!" Beca was quick to answer, not wanting Chloe to get the wrong impression of why she let Black Cat go. "I mean– I… don't really know. Maybe if I had stayed in New York things between us would have advanced further, but something about being here has made me realize how bad of an idea that would be."

"What about Barden made you realize that?"

"I guess I had this idea in my head that nobody would really accept me for who I am, unless they also understood the type of life I live. I feel like an outcast a lot of the time, in the suit and out of the suit. I mean, even some of the people I save think I'm a freak," Beca let out a humorless chuckle. "But I'm starting to realize the people that matter will take me for who and what I am, and not see me any differently for it."

Beca felt the redhead's hand cover hers. It caused her stomach to do somersaults and her whole body to heat up. Again, Chloe was giving her that look like she could see right through her mask. It made her body thrum with nervousness, but also excitement. She felt like she was riding a rollercoaster of anxiety.

"I know we haven't known each other long, however, I hope one day you can trust me to get to know your true self," Chloe replied, her eyes boring into Beca's covered ones.

"Chloe, I–"

Before she could finish her sentence, a cell phone started to ring and for once it wasn't hers causing the disruption in their time spent together. Chloe looked at her apologetically before taking the call. From the shrill tone on the other line Beca could tell it was Aubrey, and she also knew that they were going to have to call it quits from the way Chloe was expressing to Aubrey to calm down and that she'd be home soon. She ended the call with an exasperated sigh before starting to put her sneakers back on.

"I'm sorry, Aubrey needs me back for a Bellas thing," Chloe explained. But then her eyes lit up and she began to squeal like an excited little kid. "I forgot to tell you! The girl that I was telling you about actually came to auditions! She was incredible, her voice sends chills down my spine. She's going to be such a great asset to the team!"

"I told you it would work out and she'd be stupid not to join," Beca grinned, happiness coursing through her knowing that Chloe had enjoyed her audition. "Let's get you home so Aubrey doesn't have an aneurysm from you being late."

"Oh stop!" Chloe giggled, while getting into the normal position they got into before Beca took flight. "She's not that bad. She'd probably just projectile vomit instead."

"Excuse me, what did you just say?!"

Chloe's laughter rang in her ears the whole trip back to her apartment, and even still once she was back at her dorm. For the hectic day she had, the redhead was always able to turn it completely around. It was becoming more and more apparent that what she thought was just a little crush on Chloe was spreading deeper than she originally intended, and she wasn't sure if she should be terrified, or embrace it with open arms.
