The morning after the Quinjet left for Wakanda, a second search warrant was served on Stark Tower.
More than fifty officers swarmed the Tower. They were accompanied by not only Manhattan's Chief of Police but the District Attorney as well.
They went over the entire building, sub-basements to roof, including air ducts. It took all day. When they left, having found nothing, no one looked happy. The suits in particular looked grim, perhaps anticipating a future lawsuit.
Tony had no plans to sue. After all, the cops had been right.
They'd just been too late.
"It's awfully quiet around here."
