Hi there! Cherith's Disciples!
So, I've had a lot of people asking me about pairings.
As you know… Cherith is very independent and we all know her stance on romance being a pain.
And then we know how destructive she is, and is becoming.
We don't want her actually loosing her humanity and becoming a monster, because she won't be a monster like Stefan or the originals, she'llbe a Nexus one, bringing the world to ashes, so we need someone able to get along with her, make her see life beyond the ordinary and still be able to ground the madness down when need and only need be.
An anchor, if you will.
Most of the characters in the show do not fit this criteria, lmao!
It's just blood and shit.
Of course she's gonna have flings with the ones she likes so… expect some sexual situations!
But like I said, madness and heightened emotions mixed together… poof! Chaos!
I'd love her to meet Kol and Kai! I think they just might get along…oops spoilers… They MIGHT or MIGHT not get along. That's all I have to say.
Soooooo….Without further words…
*Drumroll*
I decided to create my own version of Vision for her! Down to the british accent!
*Gasp*
Well not synthezoid in appearance, because no technology in Tvd world could do that.
*Sad*
But a Vision no less!
*Celebrates*
With some of visions quality mixed with Cherith's as well as also being a flirty hoe like her too and sexified.
(Btw, Vision is the android soulmate of Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch in the comics and the MCU)
*Smirks*
Basically a soulmate of sort so at the end of the day, they might either end up as great friends or end up together, it's 50-50.
Basically soul companions.
Depends on how that grows but yeah.
He'll sort of grow into an anchor for her.
But it still doesn't mean a lot of eyes will stop being on Cherith and her eyes won't stray.
Lmao! You'll understand more when you know more about what Cherith is becoming and how it could very well lead to the destruction of reality itself.
Back to the Season 1 Finale!
February 25th.
"Ladies and gentlemen!"
Cherith grinned as she stood outside that morning, a smirk on her face.
"Feast your eyes on… my baby… my first love above all else… I'll call him…Pietro!"
She purred slightly as she motioned to a dark grey sports car by her side, turning to it with a grin.
Her car had finally arrived and she was loving every minute of it!
It was a dark grey 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Convertible, with 2 red stripes on each side of the cars hood.
The two car seats in it were a dark cherry red. She had originally wanted a Cherry Red color but that was Elena's new car color and so she changed her mind and went for something sleek but eye turning.
And it was absolutely gorgeous.
A boring clap sounded behind her and she turned to Jeremy who was looking uninterested.
"Great. Now that you've thirsted over your car, can we leave now? I kind of want to get this shit over with."
Cherith put a tongue out at him.
She had been looking forward to emancipation ever since Jenna had informed her of it, and even if she technically was an 'adult' now, it didn't mean she could do everything an adult could do.
Now, she could het medical care on her own, apply for a work permit, sign up for school or college on her own and also live wherever she wanted to.
She had also given up the right to be supported financially by her parents or guardian which didn't bother her one bit as Jenna had also given her her part of her own share of her adoptive parents inheritance. The little problem had come from their father's building and the Gilbert lake house but Cherith had decided to keep having joint ownership with her siblings for the time being.
But money wasn't exactly an issue for her at the time being given all the investment she had been doing with her birth parent's rather impressive inheritance which had almost reached a bit over 5 million at present. So yes, Cherith didn't cry over not having financial support.
But even if she was emancipated, there were still rules till she turned 18.
She had to go to school, couldn't get married without permission and would still go to juvenile court if she broke the law.
Her car had arrived the previous afternoon and she'd immediately fallen in love with it, and today, she dressed like she was going to a party, so as to match how she felt taking the car for it's first real spin.
She wore black skinny jeans, a light grey long sleeved cotton top tucked in and her new black leather jacket that Bonnie had gifted her which she was now practically in love with, pairing it with a pair of black boots, be hair let down and black designer glasses over her face, completing her slight make up look with a cherry red lipstick.
She looked totally amazing in her opinion.
"Oh shut up Jeremy! This… is a new beginning to me! I am… the baddest bitch in town now!"
She chuckled out maniacally which turned into a cackle and Jeremy rolled his eyes amused as he entered the passenger seat.
"Just enter and drive. You look like one of those disgusting orc little shits in the hobbit."
Cherith glared at him as she sat in the car and revved up the engine.
"Well excuse you, but you look like an overgrown bat dressed like a confederate soldier right now."
"Not like I'm really interested in this Founder's Day parade stuff but… I guess I should just get it over with and all."
Cherith sighed as she began driving, putting down the roof of the convertible and enjoying the breeze that blew over her.
"Yeah… I get what you mean big bro. Things are… not as they used to be ."
"You okay?"
Jeremy asked her and Cherith but her lip slightly.
"Yeah, I am."
No, she wasn't.
There was something awfully wrong with her.
She'd known for a while now.
It's like her powers were way too much for her to handle, and it was already taking a toll on her mentally.
She could feel whatever little control she once thought she had slip away.
It had been quite a long time coming, and today… it was worse.
It didn't help that she also had a bad feeling about the Founder's Parade. Like… She was expecting something to happen. And her gut was telling her it was a bad thing.
She sighed again.
"God! It's like Mystic Falls is weighing me down. My mental health is at an alarming low."
"And we can't have that now, can we?"
Jeremy mocked and Cherith scoffed, a small smile on her face.
"Shut up… I'm serious here."
"Well maybe you should get a dog or something."
He idly mentioned and Cherith thought about it slightly before shrugging.
"Hm… maybe."
They got to the school where the parade was starting and parked, Jeremy getting out and walking off with a wave.
Cherith smiled slightly as people stared at her car and grin turned into a smug look.
Yes…. Yes, look at it and bask you pitiful mortals.
She chuckled slightly, looking around at the costumes and floats and nodding, impressed. Especially the Miss Mystic Falls float.
"Caroline really outdid herself hunh?"
She mumbled as she moved to sit down on a lunch bench, bringing out her phone and texting Leslie to know where she was.
Her leg tapped impatiently and she could fill anxiety build up in her with a frown.
She gritted her teeth slightly, placing one hand on the table and taking deep breaths as she felt her powers come up to the brim again.
It was like an uncomfortable but seducing feeling.
Like something wonderful bursting out of her but if she tried to let it out, destruction was left in it's wake.
She shivered slightly and squeezed angrily at the table, a little energy dissipating out of her as she fought to keep it in and she sighed slightly as she felt a bit better.
Opening her eyes, she frowned slightly as she stared at the now crunched side of the table she had been holding.
It wasn't just crunched up though… the wood itself seemed to have turned into dust.
She opened her hands slightly and watched as the dust flew away, wariness feeling her up.
This wasn't the first time and she was sure it certainly wouldn't be the last.
She just hoped with all her heart that she couldn't affect humans that way.
It would be carnage.
"Cherry!"
Leslie's cherry voice startled her and she jumped slightly, making a bunch of cars around sound out their alarm which startled everyone in the vicinity, her own car included.
"Oh my God, Leslie! Don't… startle me like that again!"
She said out with a slight frown, moving to press the automated remote connected to her car and it silenced just as other car owners moved to work.
Leslie smiled apologetically before frowning slightly.
"You okay?"
Cherith chuckled.
"People keep asking me that. And yes. Yes I am great, actually. My car is here, I've got my driver's license and I'm emancipated too! I'm great!"
She reiterated and Leslie grinned.
"Awesome! And I just have to say, your car looks amazing! Expensive but amazing. It's a good thing you're into stocks with your birth parents inheritance or you'll be regretting getting it by now."
Cherith snorted.
"Yeah, Jenna almost had a heart attack when I bought Pietro but she got over it."
Leslie looked at her, puzzled.
"Who the fuck is Pietro?"
Cherith beamed, pointing at the car.
"I was thinking of calling him that. What do you think?"
"I think you're off your rocker. Nice outfit btw…"
"I know right?! Slight wardrobe changes and all since I'm practically an adult."
Leslie snorted.
"And I'm the one standing here in a cheerleaders outfit. Go figure."
Cherith shrugged.
"I just hope today brings no drama. I've been trying to avoid it for days now."
"Oh wow… now that you're sixteen, you're becoming more mature!"
Leslie playfully mocked and Cherith wrinkled her nose.
"Ew, gross… no way. I'm 16, yes but I was born with an insatiable lust and appetite for destruction. Literally."
She added dryly, remembering the Myth about a Scarlet Witch that Sheila had informed her of.
"I'm not gonna lose my touch anytime soon."
Leslie shook her head, moving to talk when she saw something from afar.
"Oh look… I think we're about to begin."
Cherith stood up, stretching slightly.
"Cool, I should be heading to Town square then… only came here because I dropped my asshole of a brother. See you later!"
She waved to her friend and walked off, putting on her glasses.
"Let's give a big hand to the Mystic Fall's high school Marching Band!"
Carol Lockwood called out as the marching band and the cheerleaders parade by, the cheerleaders doing wonderful stunts and everyone applauds and scream.
Cherith grimaced slightly, the noise being way to overwhelming for her as stood a bit further from the screaming teens.
She spotted Bonnie in the crowd and walked over to her.
"Hey bon-bon."
She greeted her and Bonnie turned to her with a grin.
"Look at you, all dressed up and at an event, without even being forced! Accolades!"
Cherith scoffed.
"I am only here so I can show off my baby and that is all. If not, I'd feign that my leg still hurts and I need bed rest."
She grouched slightly and Bonnie snorted.
"And for a little local history, Mr. Saltzman's students have recreated Virginia's Battle of Willow Creek!"
The float arrives in the street.
Jeremy and Tyler are in it dressed as old times soldiers with fake guns along with a bunch of other guys. They wave to the crowd and pretend to shoot at each other, making Cherith snort.
"I'm one hundred percent sure Jeremy wanted that to be real."
Bonnie grinned at her.
"Aren't they getting along with each other?"
"Please… that's only because Vicki, who made them against each other in the first place, isn't around anymore. There's still some, tension, between them. If I didn't know any better I'd say they have the hearts for one another. Some sexual tension caught somewhere. But they are as straight as an erect dick sadly."
Cherith smirked and Bonnie turned to her exasperated.
"Really Cherith? You caught that when? And God when did you get way too dirty!"
Cherith shrugged.
"It's noticeable!"
"Oh? I bet it was noticeable when you were making out with Tyler."
She smirked and Cherith rolled her eyes.
"Please Bonnie, don't remind me."
Bonnie grinned.
"I have to, after all… it's not everyday you see a large number of boys… and some girls too, fighting for the same person who seemed to radiate an aura of… magic."
She whispered the last part and Cherith grinned.
"Hey! I'm the girl everyone apparently wants to die for!... Besides… I can take their man if I want to, but lucky for them, I don't want to. Also… not my fault their girlfriends find me attractive."
She said like it was the most unimportant thing in the world and Bonnie looked at her amused.
"You are so chill about sexuality that I look up to you."
Cherith chuckled.
"Eh… life's too short to hate on everything that doesn't fit your way of life and thinking."
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our stunning Miss Mystic Falls Court and their handsome escorts!"
Elena, Stefan, Caroline and Matt, and the rest of the Mystic Falls Court and their escorts are on the float, smiling, laughing and wave to the crowd.
"Aw… they look so cute and happy."
Cherith cooed before adopting a disgusting face.
"It's sickening. Hand me match stick."
Bonnie snorted.
"You're a witch, are you not?"
She mocked and Cherith turned to her slightly surprised.
"Well look at you! Being the Ron Weasley to my Hermione Granger!"
"This is Caroline Forbes, our very own Miss Mystic Falls! Aren't they all beautiful and handsome?"
Bonnie chuckled, turning back to the float and waving.
She caught sight of Elena who spotted her as well and the two waved at each other.
Elena turned to her sister, giving her a small hesitant wave hopefully but Cherith only stared back unimpressed, letting out a bored yawn and looking away.
Bonnie shook her head and waved at her again and in that moment, Damon appeared a few feet in front of her, waving at Elena.
Elena and Stefan look at him unimpressed and turn away and Damon turned to Bonnie who looked at him with a frown as Cherith tried her best to ignore his very presence without killing him then and there.
Her agitation was already building up and she could feel her anxiousness building as well as her powers reacting to how she felt.
Not good.
Damon of course, being the dick he was, noticed her and smirked as he looked her up down, walking over to them.
"Well look at you, all badass and adulting! 16 looks good on you, does it not?"
He flirted slightly and Cherith looked at him unimpressed before feigning a grin.
"Oh wow! Damon… look at you all alive and still walking around! Vampirism looks good on you, doesn't it?"
She threatened and he raised his hand up in surrender playfully before turning to Bonnie with a smirk and she rewarded him with a look.
"What do you want?"
Bonnie asked him and he sauntered over to them with a slight smirk.
"I just came to watch the parade! Like a good, upstanding member of Mystic Falls."
"Well wait till I DISMEMBER you…"
Cherith gritted her teeth, trying to control her magic from going haywire. And to do that, she needed to calm the fuck down!
Damon turned to her with a grin.
"I love it when you talk dirty to me."
He joked before turning back to Bonnie and Cherith used that moment to sneak off.
She'd apologize to Bonnie later on. But right now, she didn't really want a repeat of the Salem witch trials by accidentally setting the town aflame or something.
She walked into the Mystic Grill, leaving her glasses on as it made her look even more older and she walked towards the bar, as it was quite empty.
"Can I have a drink?"
She waved a 20 dollar tip bill at the bartender who looked unimpressed.
"Can I see your ID?"
"Oh come on!"
She whined, banging her fist lightly on the counter and he smirked, leaning forward at her.
"You're cute and all… but I want this job more than I'd love to know you."
He leered slightly, and even if he was only a few years older than her, she wasn't in the mood for any flirting.
Her magic was even more unrestrained and she needed something else to think about… that was not sex.
She glared at him behind the glasses, smirk playing on her lips as she moves her hand onto his playfully, her eyes glowing behind the dark lenses and crimson energy flowing out of the tips of her hands and into his.
"Come on… just a glass or two… we don't need to tell anyone about it."
His face suddenly blanks and he was back to normal again, a grin on his face as he shook his head.
"Oh alright. But if you tell on me, no more freebies for you."
She beamed and gave him a 2 fingered salute as he sneakily passed her a glass of bourbon and she took a sip, letting out a sigh.
Maybe she was slowly turning into an alcoholic. But eh! What did it matter?
She had a high tolerance for it… probably thanks to her magic as well.
Heck, she was pretty sure she could drink that asshole Damon Salvatore into the ground.
She looked around the Grill, twirling her drink. No one she was actively close to was in at the time and that worked for her.
She could feel the tingling of her magic even at the tip of her fingers and the drinking helped to slightly dull it, taking her mind off it with the acidic feel in her mouth.
"Why aren't you watching the parade?"
The bartender asked her as he rearranged some bottles and she shrugged, gulping up the cup and motioning for another pour which he didn't bat an eyelash against.
"It was boring. I don't like boring occasions."
She grouched and he nodded with a snort.
"Well if you're still bored…"
He smiled suggestively at her and she scoffed, looking away from him.
"I don't think so bartender boy. You're my drinking freebie pal and that's about it."
She gave him a look over her glasses and he chuckled, giving her an amused smile as he walked through a backdoor.
"Bummer…"
Once he was gone, she scoffed slightly, shaking her head.
"Kids these days…"
Then again, she was a kid in her own right.
Grayson Gilbert's Office.
John is in the building with Mayor Lockwood preparing the device he had gotten from Isobel.
It was the perfect time to make their plan happen. Get rid of all the vampires in Mystic Falls. Forever.
"This is the key."
He showed the mayor a small item which he put into the invention.
"When inserted, the device will be activated. It will work only once, for an estimated time of 5 minutes."
"Yes, I get that, but how does it work exactly."
Mayor Lockwood asked as he stared at the small invention… unimpressed.
"It's a high-pitched frequency that humans can't hear. Any vampires within a five-block radius will be incapacitated, exposing them. At that time, the sheriff's deputies will inject them with vervain and bring them here, when we will finish them off."
"And you're certain they're attacking tonight?"
"I have a source. One of the vampires from the tomb confirmed the attack."
John looked at the Mayor.
It had to be done now.
Before it was too late.
The parade was finally over and most of the people who had been on the float had changed out of their outfits, enjoying the afternoon sun.
Cherith sat outside too, enjoying a simple drink, taking in fresh air and trying her best not to get emotional enough as to set the town ablaze.
She saw Jeremy walk out of the Grill moodily and stood up to go after him when she saw Damon follow him, talking mockingly.
She had no idea what he was saying bit he was pissing her off.
Jeremy said something and Damon's face hardened as he turned Jeremy to him roughly.
Cherith could feel her patience waning already and her heartbeat quickening as she felt her magic tingle and she gritted her teeth.
Jeremy moved to walk away again and Damon dragged him back even more harshly and that made Cherith mad.
She marched towards them, looking like an angry bulldozing train and anyone who saw her or was in her way quickly dived away, not wanting to invite the wrath of a well know redhead who was mostly categorized as a beauty and a slight sadist too.
Stefan must have seen her foaming at the mouth as he immediately rushed to Damon, pushing Jeremy away from him, saying something to him looking slightly contrite and Jeremy walked off. Stefan then turned to his brother but Cherith didn't care.
As soon as she got to the 2, she pushed Stefan away from Damon, whipping off her sunglasses and standing in front of Damon with an angry glare.
"Who gave you the right, in all of God's graciously green earth to touch my brother?"
She snarled out, patience waning at his sight and he looked at her slightly surprised before frowning at her.
"Cherith—"
Stefan tried to cut in before it escalated but she held her hand up at him, silencing him with her magic.
"You. If I ever see you manhandle Jeremy again, I swear I will practice my growing powers on you and it won't be pretty."
Damon scoffed, crossing his arms.
"That all, Witchy? I heard you're also in a little beef with your sister too. Cut her some slack, both of you."
Cherith gritted her teeth, eyes narrowed.
"Oh, so that's why you're here? Because you're trying to look good in her book? News flash, Salvatore number 2 but she's with your brother, not you."
Damon's eyes narrowed.
"I like you and all Cherry but you should watch what you say."
Cherith scoffs.
"Or what? You'll snap my neck? Kill me? News flash, you'll be on the ground before you think of it. Don't think I haven't noticed how you look at Elena. Your Katerina chick ends up not being in the tomb and you turn on another infatuation which ends up being his girlfriend, ready to make her a rebound."
She points at Stefan who looks defeated.
Damon's eyes darkened and in rage, raises his hand possibly to grab at her throat but Cherith is faster as her eyes turn crimson and he whimpers, holding his hand to his head, crouching in pain and Stefan looks at him, concerned.
Cherith smirks coldly.
"If you think I've been sitting down on my ass all day when I have powers at my disposal you must be out of your fucking mind."
Stefan holds a shoulder, making her turn to him and he looks at her pleadingly.
She looks around and spot some people looking at Damon concerned and she blinks, amethyst eyes back to normal and Stefan suddenly finds his voice again as Damon sighed in relief as he stands up slightly and shakily.
Bonnie's migraine might have been powerful, but Cherith's… Hers were pain incarnated.
He felt blood at his nose and puts a finger to it, staring at the crimson sight and looking at Cherith shocked, with a large amount of wariness mixed in. She stared blankly at him.
She didn't look human.
"Cherith…"
Stefan slowly began to speak but Cherith ignored him, looking into Damon's eyes like she was staring directly into his soul and he shivered.
"Elena and Stefan might let you do whatever you want, Damon… but it doesn't change the fact that the rest of us won't accept it. Because at the end of the day Damon… you're an attention seeking murderer, no matter how loved you are."
She looked him deep in the eyes, hoping to convene what she'd said to him and slight hurt seemed to appear in his eyes as she turned to walk off.
"You've changed… Cherry Berry. What happened to the nice girl we all knew and adored?"
He sarcastically asked her as she turned to go, putting on her sunglasses.
"She was taken for granted, asshole. Stay away from my brother. If I have to warn you next time, only one of us will be leaving alive, and I can bet you it's me, because I'm not a vampire and undead like you."
She walked off, her grip on her magic slipping slightly and as she bumped into a garbage can by her side, the side turned to dust without her noticing.
It was finally evening time.
The fireworks display would be starting soon.
Cherith could feel her anxiousness and magic tingling.
It was getting way too much, like something was happening and it was getting a rise out of her.
She felt like the weight of the world was on her as she stumbled around the square.
Apart from the waking of her magic, it felt like something was going to happen that night.
She just didn't know what it was, and how bad it would become.
Damon turns away from Alaric who rushes away to grab some stakes from his car and sees Stefan and Elena laughing and walking, hand in hand.
He quickly goes toward them and takes Elena's hand, walking with them and the two frown at him.
"What are you doing, Damon?"
Elena asked.
"Saving your life."
He looked around before whispering to the both of them, looking serious.
"Fifteen words or less…Tomb vamps are here. Founding families are their target."
He turns to Stefan.
"Get her out of here, now!"
He commands his brother, walking off but Stefan stops him, looking at his brother, confused.
"Wait, where are you going then?"
"That's more than fifteen words, Stefan."
He gives Stefan a look and walks off.
Elena then became worried and jittery, turning to Stefan.
"Wait, Jeremy and Cherith are still out here somewhere! I can't leave them!"
"Let's go find them, come on!"
"For one hundred and fifty years, Mystic Falls has been the kind of town that everybody wants to call home; safe, prosperous, welcoming. And we have the Founders to thank for that."
Mayor Lockwood began his speech on the stage, looking at the crowd.
"That's why I'd like to dedicate this evening's firework display to their legacy!"
Everyone applauses and the tomb vampires on in the crowd, looking at the Mayor, distaste in their eyes as they prepared for their plans to begin.
The Mayor then looks at one of the deputies, making sure to know he was giving them the signal soon.
Cherith shivers as her magic overcomes her slightly, and she stumbles a bit to the ground, holding onto a pavement and she crawls slowly on the grass.
The grass turns black and burnt at wherever she put her hand and she groaned, hefting herself up and stumbling slightly.
She shies away from anyone trying to touch or talk to her, not knowing what her touch alone would be capable of when in contact with human skin that wasn't hers.
Cherith stumbles Into the woods.
She didn't see two vampires give each other nods and slowly walk after her, their eyes straight on their target.
Cherith felt like puking, but she knew it wasn't it.
But just as puking out makes one feel slightly better, her magic screamed and clashed to be let out and it was seductive in it's tingling feeling. It was taking all her will power then and there not to let it out.
She stumbled deep into the woods till she couldn't hear the fireworks anymore and fell to her knees, breathing in and out and basking in the quietness of the forest.
Her powers were really getting to her and somehow, it needed to be let out of her, but she was scared. Scared of what could happen to those around her when it inevitably does.
She breathed out heavily, grabbing a broken tree branch and watching as it turns to dust in her hands, flying off and she whimpers slightly.
"What the hell is wrong with me?"
She whispered quietly, confusion and fear in her eyes.
"So it was true that night."
A voice sounded behind her and she rushed to her feet and turns to see two men, one wearing a yellow shirt commemorating the 150 years of Mystic Falls and the other in a plain dark outfit, both smirking at her and she glared at them.
"Who are you?"
She demanded.
"Why did you follow me here?"
The one in dark outfit, obviously the leader, walked around her and she turned, glaring at him suspiciously, her fists vibrating with anger and magic.
"I saw you with that Salvatore when you attacked our safe house. It's fascinating. You're very powerful. Though… unable to control it?"
He gives her a mockingly confused face, turning to her hands and she frowned, raising her hands to look at it.
Red energy was swimming around her palms and she breathes out as the air around them picks up, whipping their clothes and hair slightly and the leading vampire smirked.
"So much power… I was curious about you. Want to know why?"
"Not that your opinion matters, but shoot."
She dryly answered him, trying to pull her magic back into her but it wasn't working.
"You are intensely powerful. I want to know just what you'd be capable of as a vampire. After all…"
He smirks evilly and she swallowed slightly as they stopped a few feet from her, crouching slightly and she prepared for a showdown too.
"Wouldn't it be fitting… A member of a so called founding family, apart from the Salvatore brothers that is, being what they despise the most. A Vampire."
He hissed, both their features turning vampiric and they blurred towards her intent on throwing her to the ground but Cherith threw a forcefield over herself, gritting her teeth as they bounced off it and it threw them a few feet away.
They stood up, their burnt skin healing.
"Nice try Miss, but we heal just as fast."
They attack the forcefield again and Cherith groaned slightly, not only because of the force being thrown on the field, but also because her magic itself was also threatening to burst out.
She couldn't focus on both and her control was slipping already.
She lets out a labored scream as energy escapes out of her in a slightly explosive wave and it threw the vampires off the shield, also taking out the forcefield and she fell to her knees, gritting her teeth tightly.
"Come on Cherith… you can fight it."
She whispers to herself, slowly getting to her feet but the other vampire had crept behind her, blurring over and forcing her into a chokehold and she gasps out of breath and the unyielding hold against her neck.
"There we go…"
The leading vampire stands in front of her, a victorious grin on his face, Cherith's eyes clamped shut and her fists clenched as she could feel herself agitated and jittery.
She couldn't hold it in anymore.
"Now… I do what I came here for."
He bit into his wrist, blood dripping from his lips and his hand as he got closer to her.
Cherith let's out a moan of defeat as she couldn't hold her control anymore and let's go, slumping slightly.
Her chest suddenly emanates a whitish crimson and gold glow and the vampire stops walking towards her, wariness in his eyes as he moves back slightly.
The Vampire holding her in a chokehold immediately notices what was going on and let's go of her, blurring next to his comrade as Cherith falls to her knees, grasping at the dead flowers on the ground.
Suddenly, it's like the light in her heart is pulsing, and the pulsing let's out a sort of magnetic vibration, the floor vibrating along with everything on it.
"What are you doing?"
The second vampire demands, looking around him as the very air around them suddenly stills, like nothing was moving, not even the dust in the air.
Cherith sighs, head bent.
"I'm letting it all go."
She looks up at them and they stare into her crimson eyes immediately knowing they were fucked.
"Oh sh—"
Cherith let's out a thunderous shout, the glow in her chest expanding out and her whole body basically turned into a glowing being of energy… white, red and gold. Every part of her was pure white energy, with crimson red encasing it on all ends and edges and gold wisps moving in her like it was swimming around her body.
She looked wondrous.
She looked… unreal.
The glow expanded out of her in a powerful energy blast and out over a mile radius or so, and if anyone saw it, they probably thought it was part of the fireworks.
Lucky for them they weren't in the vicinity when it happened.
As the light dissipates, Cherith sits on the ground, her body back to normal, breathing heavily and feeling… surprisingly lighter than before.
She felt good.
She felt… in control once more… but not just control…She felt… More.
Groans brought her out of her reverie and she stared around her.
The trees where blown away or bent out of shape, like a tornado of sorts had worked it's way around the area.
It was… destructive, but beautiful as well.
The two Vampires scramble away from her, staring at her, breathing heavily.
"You really are powerful."
The leading one said, staring at her apprehensively.
He then crouched, holding onto himself with a confused look.
He gasps, standing to his feet as he stares at his hands and out of nowhere, it begins to turn into dust… spreading from his hands up his arm and legs, like he was being undone right to his very molecules and horror was the only thing left as his dust flies away.
Cherith gasps, standing to her feet as the other vampire moves to blur away in fear but he collapses as well and the same thing happens to him.
"Fuck… holy shit!"
Cherith gasps out, her hands trembling at what had just taken place.
Apprehension in her eyes as she looks around the ground, grabbing a branch and holding it tightly but nothing happened to it.
Fear and relief crept into her guts.
Relief at the worst seemingly being over.
And then fear. Just because she had let go of her control this one time… she had been capable of… such destruction.
What would happen if she gave in to her base instincts… If she ever fell off the wagon… just once.
She bit her lip, a stubborn frown on her face as she throws the branch away from her angrily, pacing around and her hands dragging through her hair.
It wasn't safe.
She wasn't safe.
She was destruction in human form—No, she was chaos… in human form.
She was…
"The Scarlet Witch."
She mumbled, looking around her.
She really was Chaos incarnate.
The thought scared and excited her at the same time.
She knew she had absolute power, especially if she could learn control, but control wasn't as easy to get without anyone helping her and her emotions going a mile a minute.
She needed control, if not anything else… because if she didn't… it wouldn't be good, for anyone.
Outside Mystic Grill.
Bonnie arrives at the Grill just at the time Stefan walks out.
"Oh, hey!"
He greeted her and she sighed out, greeting him too.
"Hey."
"You…you just missed Elena. She left a few minutes ago."
He pointed and Bonnie nodded.
"I was looking for you actually."
"Oh."
Stefan frowned slightly, looking at her attentively and Bonnie breathed in and out, looking at him seriously.
"Elena is my best friend, and because she loves you, I couldn't let you or Damon die in that fire."
Stefan nods understandably, a thankful look on his face.
"I'm very grateful Bonnie, I hope you know that."
"I do…but I hope you know that things have to change. Damon has to change."
Stefan nods.
"We both want the same thing."
"We both want to protect the people we care about. The difference is, for you, Damon is one of them."
She gives him a stony look, hoping to convey what she was trying to tell him, clearly.
"You saw what I was able to do tonight. I know who I am now, and if Damon spills so much as one drop of innocent blood, I'll take him down. Even if I have to take you with him. I don't know how far Cherith's practice is going, but I know she's not a fan of Damon either. I know I'll have an ally in her, and I hope it doesn't come to the point where your girlfriend's sister is on the opposite side of where you are."
Stefan nods carefully.
"Let's hope it doesn't come to that. I know Cherith… I know what she is capable of."
"Let's hope it doesn't."
Bonnie nods back at him.
Mystic Grill.
Cherith walks into the Grill, confusion clouding her eyes as she'd spotted a firetruck just a moment ago and people in groups, gossiping with concern and fear in her eyes.
She massaged her neck slightly as the grip of the Vampire from earlier still hurt slightly.
Especially with how pale she was, she knew a bruise might turn up soon enough.
"Bonnie! Hey, what the hell is going on? I was just attacked by two tomb Vampires some time ago… did something happen?"
Bonnie's eyes widened in surprise and fear.
"Oh my God! You were attacked?! What happened?!"
Cherith waved her off, not wanting to go into THAT bag of trouble yet.
"Already took care of them."
"Really?"
Bonnie asked with surprise clear in her voice, after all, she had been practicing a bit longer than Cherith, even had family grimoires to help her and yet she wasn't so sure she'd have been able to take on 2 vampires on her own.
It made her remember her Grams' warning of sticking close to the redhead and never getting on her bad side.
She was taking out vampires left and right like they were nose boogies.
Just how powerful was she really?
"Yeah. But not what's important right now. What's going on and why does the town look like something scandalous happened while I was away?"
"That's because something did happen."
She looked around and directed her to a quiet corner, Cherith even more curious now than before.
"Bon-bon, what's going on?"
"Remember the invention that I said I dismantled?"
Cherith nodded.
"Well, I kind of didn't."
Cherith's eyes widened slightly.
"And then apparently it was used and tomb Vampires went down and Damon did too, and then Stefan and Elena went to save him… but I heard the Mayor died too! He was rounded up by mistake!"
Cherith's eyes widened and a hand covered her mouth.
That was bad. Really, very bad.
"Oh…"
"Yes oh, and now I kind of feel guilty. I didn't dismantle it. Maybe if I had, Mayor Lockwood would still be alive."
Cherith frowned, looking at Bonnie and understanding the slightly precarious situation she found herself in.
"I understand what you're saying Bonnie."
She moved to pat the mocha skinned beauty before pausing, deciding against it. Very bad idea in her defense. She had no idea if her magic had really calmed down yet. She didn't want to unexpectedly turn Bonnie into dust, and in front of the citizens of Mystic Falls. Witch Trials 2.0 would actively begin and they'd start rounding up witches instead of vamps.
"Look, if you had dismantled it, the tomb Vampires would have possibly won today and quite a lot of people would have died. I understand where you're coming from Bonnie, really I do. Heck the assholes have ruined everything since they practically dragged their asses into Mystic Falls, and apparently witches and vamps have always mainly been on the opposite sides, even though I don't think that should be right in all aspects…"
Bonnie gave her a look.
"If you're trying to console me it's not working."
Cherith scoffed.
"Girl I'm trying my best here to open this gradually icy heart, give me a break!"
Bonnie grinned and Cherith smirked.
"There we go… but really, don't feel too bad about it. The Mayor dying was something no one saw coming and blame those who took him away. You basically single handedly saved this town from the tomb Vampires. You're a hero in my book Bonita."
Bonnie grinned before snorting.
"When will you stop giving me nicknames? You do it to others too"
Cherith winked playfully at the girl.
"When you stop being a tall glass of hotness."
Bonnie chuckled, rolling her eyes.
"Sometimes I think your sexuality confuses a lot of people."
Cherith grins abashedly.
Just then, both their phones ring and they pick.
"Hello Jens, what's up?"
Cherith quips into the phone.
"Cherry? Where are you? Are you okay?"
She frowns at her aunt's harried voice.
"Is… everything okay Jenna?"
Her aunt sighs over the phone.
"Not really, no. I'm on my way to the hospital. John got attacked."
The hairs on Cherith's body immediately raise.
"What??"
"Yeah, it's a bit brutal but he's still alive. You might want to head on home first before coming over, see if Jeremy or Elena are coming over and if the doors are locked as well."
"Um… okay Jenna, I'll see you later."
Cherith cuts the phone, waiting for Bonnie to talk finish and Bonnie turns panicked eyes to Cherith.
"Caroline's in the hospital."
Cherith's eyes widened as they rush out the Grill."
"What? What happened??"
"I don't—I couldn't get everything from Matt but… there was some sort of accident and—"
"The same night John was also attacked??"
Cherith whispered furiously to herself and Bonnie turns to her surprised.
"John was attacked?? Are you headed to the hospital now?"
Cherith shook her head, moving towards the direction of her car as Bonnie moved to hers.
"Uh no! I have to head home first! I might catch you there though!"
She shouted at her and rushes off, putting on her ignition and zooming off.
As she drove, she couldn't stop that nagging feeling telling her that things were about to get fucked soon… it was about to be real, and she needed to be at her strongest so no one could try to beat her down.
A lot of pieces on the chess board were moving, even if she didn't know it… and they were moving fast.
This night, she had seen what she could be capable of, even without control, and while it feared her, her ability to turn into a monster at any time, it also strengthened her.
She was capable of anything.
And she was going to make sure no one stepped over her.
Her hands tightened slightly on her wheels, eyes glowing crimson as the sky rumbled slightly in response to her.
She was going to be the deadliest piece on the board.
She was going to become a fate worse than death.
After all… she was the Scarlet Witch.
A teasingly dark smile bloomed on her face.
Greene Residence.
Leslie sat on her bed in her bedroom that evening, mind still on the fireworks display that evening at the founder's parade.
Everything had been going smoothly and she'd been hoping to spot Cherry as well.
But then she'd left earlier with her grandmother after all that had happened, especially with the death of the Mayor.
She fiddled with the bracelet on her hand and her phone rang, startling her slightly.
"Leslie speaking."
"Leslie. It's been a while."
Leslie swallowed slightly.
"Agatha… it's been 2 months."
AND SO ENDS SEASON 1!!!!!!!!What do you all think?!?Her powers are really chaotic and all over the place hm...And Leslie...Leslie, Leslie, Leslie...Just what exactly are you up to??Also! I realized something!!!!The Scarlet Witch and her nexus powers.I just realized that the cure isn't really important, especially If she ever realizes and of course, masters her reality altering powers like in the comics, she'd be able to end the existence of all supernaturals. In the comics, she once said 'No more mutants' and just like that, all mutants were stripped of their powers.Could you imagine her saying 'No more Vampires', or 'No more supernaturals', and it ends up happening?Of course she can also reverse it, but essentially, she's a walking talking cure! What Esther Mikaelson would give to have that power to end her children...
