"Well hello there. You must be Jenna."

She held out a hand for Jenna who shook it.

"Uh, hi… I don't know you?"

Isobel laughed amused.

"Oh? Elena dear, you haven't told?... I'm Isobel. Elena's mother."

Then she turned to stare at the doppelganger with a shit eating grin.

"It's nice to see you again honey."

Jenna felt her whole world do a 360 on her.

It felt like an eternity to Jenna Sommers.

It didn't seem like she'd heard what the woman in front of her had told her.

But she did.

She knew she did.

And the intake of breath from Elena…

Isobel turns to Elena with a pretty smile.

"You haven't changed one bit since we last saw each other."

Jenna snapped out of her daze, eyes snapping towards her niece as her heartbeat picked up controllably.

"Again??"

Her voice wobbled a bit.

"I—Elena, what's she talking about?? What is going on?!"

Elena swallowed heavily as a feeling of anger and disdain towards Isobel settled in her.

"Jenna, I—"

"So!"

Isobel smiled coyly.

"You're the woman who's dating my husband… what an intimate reunion this is."

"Stop it!"

Elena spoke back at Isobel with a shaky voice but Jenna was in a whole other world of her own.

It had been a lie.

It had always been a lie.

First, Alaric had been lying to her… from the very beginning!

She'd always felt something was off with the way he tried to ignore any talk about his wife… or how her death was still an unsolved case.

And Elena…

Jenna turned teary eyes of betrayal towards her niece who winced with guilt on her face.

"You knew?"

She whispered, ignoring Isobel's look of amusement and Jenna could feel utter dislike for the woman begin to rise.

"J-Jenna, i—"

Jenna held up a hand to stop Elena.

"Now it all makes sense! So you knew and didn't tell me?! You took me for a fool?!"

"Jenna—"

"No!"

She spat out, taking a step back.

"Just… why didn't you tell me?! I thought… I thought we were closer than that Elena! We're family!"

Elena's face dropped with sadness and guilt clouding her very heart.

"And John kept telling me—"

"Oh John knew too sweetie."

Isobel cut in with a smile and Jenna had to hold herself before she did something as stupid as slap her niece's biological mother.

With a deep breath, she turned and walked towards the door, unlocking it as Elena followed after her.

"Jenna, please… let's just talk about it!"

But Jenna ignored her, opening the door and walking in, jumping two steps at a time to head towards her room… betrayal and hurt circling her.

"Jenna!"

"Not so fast Elena."

Isobel holds Elena's hand as she moved to walk on and after her distressed aunt and she grunted slightly before she could cross the threshold of her home and into safety.

Elena turned to Isobel with a look of hatred on her face.

"Let me go!"

"I'm not here to cause any silly little spat between you and your beloved aunt. I'm here to talk."

Elena scoffs.

"Oh yeah? Well I don't want to talk to you."

Isobel chuckles darkly.

"You will, when you hear why I'm here. And also…"

She took a step closer to the doppelganger and Elena's heartbeat quickened as she realized no one was there to help her.

"What makes you think you can tell me what to do?"

Elena swallowed silently as she felt her legs shake, before forcefully gathering up courage.

"Maybe I can't tell you what to do… but if I scream out, I'm sure Cherry will hear me."

At the mention of the ruby haired girl, Isobel stiffened slightly, looking into her daughter's eyes for a moment, before giving a small smirk, releasing her hold on Elena and taking a step back.

Elena needed no telling twice as she quickly stepped into the house, moving to slam the front door, but Isobel held the end.

"You may have won this round, daughter of mine, but we WILL still have our conversation."

She let go, giving Elena the chance to slam the door fully, a sigh of relief on her face.

Once again, it was her sister who saved her, albeit in name.

Fondness for the redhead filtered into her chest before concern hit her at the thought of her sister still unresponsive.

What was wrong with her?

Was it the… the light that had appeared around her earlier??

And the… crown…

What had that been about?

Was Cherith hiding something?

Because it hadn't seemed normal. Not one bit.

She'd idly caught sight of Jonas before Stefan and Damon had carried his body.

It was like he'd been mummified!

Had he done something to her sister before… before he…

Elena shuddered slightly.

And now, Isobel was in town again!

And Jenna had stumbled into the midst of the supernatural!

She hadn't wanted that to happen… and now that it had, how could she deal with this?

Cherith wasn't around to give an helping hand… and it was times like this that she realized how important her sister was… no matter how much she wished she wasn't in the middle of this whole supernatural problem.

It was going to be a long night.

April 9th.

Gilbert Residence.

"Hey… Is she up yet?"

Alaric asked the moment Elena opened the door for him the following morning.

The brunette sighed despondently.

"She won't come out of her room. I'm really worried Ric, what with Cherith still at the hospital, this really isn't the time for Jenna to be like this."

Alaric sighed, driving a hand through his hair.

"What'd you tell her?"

"Nothing! She won't talk to me… I kept knocking at her door last night but she wouldn't even say a thing. I… I'm super worried."

She paced slightly and Alaric grew even more worried and impatient.

"It's okay. We're gonna have to fix this, Elena."

At that moment though, Jenna walked down the stairs, ready for the day and carrying an overnight bag of sort.

Alaric and Elena turned to her.

"Hey…"

Elena smiled brightly at her blank faced aunt as Alaric stepped forward.

"Jenna—"

She put a hand up.

"I don't want you here, Ric. You've had a large number of times to explain but now, I don't want to hear crap anymore, especially when I'm pretty sure you'd still omit some things."

She moved towards the door but he stepped in front of her.

"Okay, wait. Listen for a second. I can't begin to imagine what you must be feeling right now—"

"Rage and betrayal would pretty much cover it."

Elena wrings her hand anxiously as Jenna wears her jacket.

"Where are you going?"

Jenna gave a look and Elena winced.

"I'm going to go visit Cherith and find out more on what is going on with her. If it's going to take a while for her to wake, then I'll go stay on campus. I have a thesis to write, and I don't want to be in this house filled with liars."

She pushed Alaric out of the way and opened the door.

"Jenna, please just stop. Let us explain to you exactly what is going—"

Jenna ignored him, bending to grab her overnight bag.

"Elena, I need you to go to the Lockwood's today and accept the Historical Society's check for your mom's foundation."

Elena sighed.

"Okay, but, Jenna, please just…"

"I don't have it in me to hear any more lies from any of you. I'm tired. I have tried to give you the benefit of doubt, Alaric… but time and time again, you've disappointed me. And you, Elena, you knew all along, about the lies, and you couldn't even tell me?"

"Jenna, it's—"

"Complicated, yeah I know. I'll uncomplicate things for you both by leaving."

With a small glare at Alaric, she slammed the door and walked off, leaving Elena and Alaric staring at each other sadly.

"What do we do now?"

Elena sighed and at that moment, John walks out of the kitchen.

"Let her go."

He said to the two not noticing them glaring at him.

"It's better that she's not here, what with everything that's going on, but maybe had you been a little more honest with her from the beginning, th—"

Alaric wastes no time landing a punch on John's offending face and he staggered a bit.

The history then turns to a surprised Elena.

"Sorry, Elena."

Elena smiles a bit as Alaric walks out of the house. She then turns to her supposed 'father'.

"You know this is all your fault, right?"

John gave her a look as he massaged his jaw.

"Maybe. But you know I'm also right. This could have been avoided if you had just told her. There is no way she won't find out about, everything. It just depends on how she finds out."

Elena gave him a look before walking up the stairs, he might be right but she wasn't ready to let him know that. Ever.

"Do you remember Chthon, Mortals?

How you used to worship me in the long ago? And for my part, I would lap up your fears and dine on your screams… but then, you and your mages got oh so clever.

They made a pact to end my feast, not with a spell or a charm. But with a lie. They said 'There is no god of Chaos.' 'There is no Chaos Magic.' And you believed them.

So, tell me… do you believe them now??... DO YOU?!"

Cherith let out a gasp as it felt like she had been drowning under water but her head finally hit the surface.

She sat upright, heart beating slightly faster than necessary and she heard a small rustle by her side.

"Cherry?!"

She turned to see Jenna sitting on a chair and a textbook in her lap, a relieved look in her eyes.

"Oh. Hey Jenna… how many years has it been?"

She grouched softly, bringing her hand to massage her head while wrinkling her nose a bit at the hospital gown.

She hated hospital gowns.

Reminded her of mental institution outfits.

Or prisons.

"Years? Honey it's not even been a day yet."

"Oh thank God."

She swung her feet to the edge and proceeded to plant her feet on the ground, standing up as Jenna tried to warn her against it but it was a bit late as she slid to the ground.

"Ow! What the fuck?!"

"Language!"

Jenna sighed as she got to her feet and helped her niece back into the bed.

"What happened?"

"Well you weren't responding to stimuli and you were unconscious all throughout the night. The doctors were contemplating flying someone in to check you up. Thank God you're okay though."

Jenna smiled, patting Cherith's back softly.

"Well, can I leave now?"

Jenna frowned a bit, and Cherith could see the slight bags and dark eyes of her aunt and it made her wonder what had happened while she was being embraced extra hard by Morpheus.

"Um, I don't think that's possible."

"Why not?!"

Jenna rolled her eyes as she stood up again.

"I don't know, maybe because you were unconscious?... I'll go get someone."

She walked out of the room and Cherith sighed slightly, a focused look in her eyes as she internally thought about her dreams.

Some she could remember, and some she didn't.

Some had felt like a movie being fast forwarded without her being able to catch scenes… but some…

Like someone being stabbed in the eye… oh yes, she remembered someone being stabbed, and cloaked individuals, but not much after that.

And then she also felt like something… something big and suffocating had somehow found it's way to earth and it had been so… disconcerting. Everything had felt so chaotic.

Cherith sighed frustrated at not being able to remember much and cursed as she threw her hands up in the air.

"Dammit!"

In that moment, red mist exploded out of her and the chair, the drip, and the bed she was on, all lifted up in the air, startling her.

"What the—"

As she brought her hands down, it everything landed quite precariously on the ground and she grunted slightly.

At that moment, Jenna walked in with a doctor.

"—so we can—"

The doctor paused along with Jenna as they looked at the room.

The chair lopsided, the bed in a slant line and the drip on the floor.

"Uhhh… it's not what it looks like?"

Cherith said softly, an innocent look on her porcelain like face and Jenna sighed, a defeated look on her face as her head dropped and the doctor stared for a minute before turning to Jenna.

"Yeah uh, we'll just run some tests and if she's fine then she's free to go."

He turned to leave as Cherith beamed and Jenna's head turned to the man's retreating back.

"Really?!"

The two said at the right time and the man only waved a lazy hand.

"Yeah, sure… whatever."

As he left, Jenna turned to a grinning Cherith with a look.

"I worry for you all the time."

Cherith shrugged unconcerned, though her mind was still on her powers…

Whatever the hell that was.

Cherith finally threw on her spaghetti strap pink floral print crop top, backless and the front ended in a sort of v shape and high waist jeans and white sneakers.

Cherith twirled a bit.

"Wow, I look good. Been a while since I've worn this top, extra cozy."

And it was, it had a low v shape front and with her pale skin, it made her look gorgeous, and her chi-chi's as the English called them looked very eye catching and Jenna let out a small disapproving sound.

"You look good yes but way too good. I should have focused more on what I was grabbing when I was leaving the house."

"Why were you rushing anyways?"

Cherith idly asked her aunt as she put on her sneakers and just let her hair down.

"And you look like you didn't have a good night sleep, no matter how much you try to cover it."

Jenna sighed, a disgruntled look on her face but before she could talk, a young nurse walked in with a book.

"Okay you're f-free to go!"

She stumbled with a squeak as her eyes caught Cherith and zeroed in on her chest area, making Cherith wink at her amused.

"Yes, I know I'm gorgeous… no need to be embarrassed."

Jenna groaned before dipping into her bag and bringing out a cream scarf and throwing it at her niece's chest before turning to the beet red nurse.

"Thanks. We'll see ourselves out."

"S-sure!"

She squeaked as she rushed out and Cherith wrapped the scarf under her armpits and folded it to form a sort of bow on her chest.

"Did you know about Isobel?"

Cherith froze slightly at the question and for a moment, she had no idea how to answer or what brought the question up.

In fact, how did Jenna find out?!

Slowly but surely, she looked up into her aunt's eyes, and Jenna must have found what she was looking for as hurt appeared in her eyes and she nodded to herself.

"Of course… why am I surprised? Everyone knew but me."

She moved to grab her things and Cherith felt her heart break.

"Jenna—"

"I'll be staying on campus for the time being—"

"Jenna wait!"

Cherith followed her aunt out the door, panic in her chest at the thought of having Jenna so much as despising her.

"Jenna please…"

She walked after her, out the hospital and towards the parking lot where Jenna's car was packed.

"Jenna…"

"Please Cherith… I love you but just… I can't believe it!"

She sighed out, turning to Cherith with teary eyes and Cherith could feel herself tear up too.

"I trusted you! Over all the others! I trusted you to tell me the truth!"

"It's a bit more complicated than that Jenna, just let me explain, please… l-let me—"

Jenna shook her head, opening her car and entering and Cherith rushed to the other side but Jenna had locked it.

"Jenna!"

She banged slightly at the window but Jenna ignored her as she turned on her car ignition.

"Jenna no wait!"

She stuttered out as tears fell from her eyes but with a zoom, Jenna was gone, leaving a slightly shaky Cherith behind, wringing her hands and feeling out of it.

Guilt built up in her.

She knew she'd always tell Jenna about the supernatural world, but now… now everything was ruined!

All because of them!

God, she hated them so much!

She couldn't let Jenna go just like that. She needed her to know what was going on… even though she hated Cherith now, she still deserved to know everything!

Looking around her, she spotted the thick forests not too far away and ran towards it.

There was still time.

There was still time to convince Jenna… to tell her, everything.

Cherith took to the skies.

On the road.

It didn't take much time finding Jenna's car.

It had been dangerous what Cherith did.

Flying in the open skies, even though she was in the clouds… what if a satellite caught her?

What if someone with great eye sight, no matter how blurry she would look, spotted her?

But she didn't care at the moment as she spotted Jenna's car as it drove towards the end of Mystic Falls, though she was still about 5 minutes away from that.

And with a determined look in her eyes, and sure that no cars were coming or going, she dives down towards the car.

Cherith had always planned out the different ways she'd tell Jenna about her powers.

As an unbeliever, someone like her aunt would need the proof of impossible before so much as believing in her.

An unbeliever would even fear the impossible.

She was ready to accept that… but she hadn't planned on it happening like this…

Not like this…

As Cherith dived down with a measured speed right behind the car, Jenna, at that moment, looked at her rearview mirror and spotted a red and bright energy for a moment which made her frown a bit as it looked like fire.

"What the hell?"

She mumbled slightly as she straightened it and looked in it, but she spotted nothing.

She frowned for a moment before focusing on her driving, only to jump startled as a knock came from her window.

Turning startled, her eyes widened and her heart almost lept out of her body as the figure next to her.

"What the hell!!"

She screamed out, her grip on her wheel loosening a bit and the car swerved for a moment making her focus on it as she swerved it to her right and stopped the car, heart beating fast against her ribcage.

"Nope. No way. I must be going crazy… I must be going mad… no, I'm—"

"Jenna?"

"Oh God!"

She let out a frightened scream as Cherith, right before her eyes, floated down to the ground a few feet from her car, hands all red and bright and her whole body surrounded by a red… glow, of some sort. A sad yet apprehensive look on her face.

"Jenna?"

She called out as the light mysteriously vanished and she looked normal again, and she slowly walked towards her door.

Jenna immediately shook her head, locking the door and Cherith felt her heart dim slightly at the fear in her aunt's eyes.

"I'm not going to hurt you Jenna I swear…. You know me… I-I grew up with you."

She pleaded slightly and Jenna shrank into herself, shaking slightly and Cherith sighed, moving away from the car and towards the hood, resting on it and back turned to Jenna.

She would wait for her.

Hopefully Jenna would think herself worthy of an explanation rather than stay in the car all day… and night.

That didn't mean it hadn't hurt to see the fear in her aunt's eyes.

She could understand though… Jenna had never believed in magic, or fairytale or… anything!

She was quite possibly the most mundane person Cherith had ever met.

And it would kill Cherith if Jenna feared her for life.

The sound of a car door opening startled her a bit, but she didn't dare turn or look in her aunt's direction so as not to spook her.

It was quiet for a moment, before slow and soft footsteps were heard and she sensed someone standing a few feet from her.

Cherith turned to her aunt who had forced on a brave face.

"Are you really Cherith?"

Cherith gave a look.

"Really Jenna?"

Jenna returned a look back.

"Well excuse me for asking a major question. I wasn't expecting my niece to light up like Rudolph's nose and be able to fly!"

Cherith rolled her eyes and looked away from her as Jenna took another step forward.

Progress.

"How?... When… when did this happen and how?"

Cherith shrugged.

"How and when?... That's a particularly difficult question to even ask, seeing as I was born like this."

"You mean… your parents…"

"My mum. She was a witch. Her whole family was."

Now the cat had finally been let out of the bag.

"Oh God…"

Jenna whispered to herself as she held her head in her hand.

"Look, Jenna it's true. It's all true. Magic is real and I've been trying to hint you about it for quite a while now."

Jenna gave her a glare.

"Hint me?? You couldn't have just come out and say it?"

Cherith rolled her eyes.

"I know how you are Jenna! I know how much of an unbeliever you are! You are not a fan of the abnormal! I know it! I just… didn't want you seeing me like some… oddity or something."

Cherith's shoulders slumped slightly and it was quiet for a moment before Jenna spoke again.

"Show me something… anything…"

She whispered and Cherith blinked slightly, before looking around and wondering exactly what she could do.

Most of the things she could do would very well scare Jenna into having some sort of heart attack or something.

Her magics were chaotic after all.

Except perhaps… what she'd done in the woods the previous day. Creating energy constructs.

"Okay then."

She breathes out, standing straight and trying to ignore the small feeling of hurt at the apprehensive look on Jenna's face, like she was halfway between choosing whether or not to run to the hills.

Ignoring that, she felt her magic build up in her and for a moment, she felt how easy it was once more.

What had happened to her the previous night?

As she raised her hand, twisting it a bit, red chaos magic built up in the air and she heard Jenna take in air as right before their eyes, hundreds of butterflies of different colors winked into existence, fluttering around them.

A smile grew on Cherith's face as the fluttered after each other, a purple colored butterfly coming to rest on her nose for a moment and flying off.

"Oh my God…"

Jenna whispered out, her eyes glittering in awe mixed with shock as the butterflies moved with such practiced flare that Cherith almost didn't think they were her constructs.

With a twist of her fingers, they exploded into a glitter of red and gold lights and before the lights hit the ground, they vanished.

It was quiet, and Cherith turned to Jenna who had a pale face as she slowly walked to the hood, sitting on it and looking blank faced.

No one said anything, until Jenna turned to her niece with a stern face.

"Tell me everything."

Cherith nodded half-heartedly.

She could do that.

Sort of.

...

...

...

"So… that's it, I guess… or at least, the main parts of it all."

Cherith shrugged where she sat next to Jenna who hadn't said anything the whole 15 minutes or so Cherith had told her about the supernatural.

"Vampires… werewolves, witches… warlocks… they're all real?"

Jenna questioned in a faint voice and Cherith nodded.

"Yeah. I mean, there could be others… but I don't know for sure yet."

And no need to talk about seers… that was another crazy story entirely.

"A-and Mystic Falls is crawling with them?"

"Yeah… it's not exactly… safe."

Cherith winces slightly and Jenna shook.

"Oh…"

It was safer for her to know that.

To be honest, Cherith had always been worried about Jenna the most. She wasn't involved with the whole supernatural and quite possibly would never want to be, and that made her unsafe in such a town as Mystic Falls.

If possible, Cherith would send her aunt packing… but it would be her choice. Always.

"And Elena… Alaric… all of them, they knew?... They knew Isobel's a vampire?... Stefan… Damon… they're vampires too?"

An angry tone filtered into her voice and Cherith nodded.

Cat was out of the bag anyways.

The only thing she couldn't possibly tell Jenna at the moment was the whole sacrifice thing. That was Elena's story to tell, also, no need to put Jenna in a bad situation. Also, there was no need for her to know about the whole Scarlet Witch dilemma at the moment.

Look how her reaction to magic and all had been. No need for her to go crazy about her niece being some sort of nexus like being.

"Elena knew all along and she kept bringing these people into our home??"

Jenna cried out in realization and Cherith shrugged.

She always had a problem with that too. Even if she invited the brothers when she had no idea about their leech status… didn't change the fact that her continued association with them kept bringing craziness to their doorstep, apart from the whole sacrifice thing, that is…

"But Jenna, if you come home, we can—"

"Oh no… no, no, no, no, no."

Jenna shook her head as she laughed humorlessly, standing up and pacing slightly and Cherith watched her with a sad expression on her face.

"Why not?"

She asked in a rather tiny voice and Jenna huffed.

"I can't stay there. Not right now. Not when I just found out my family has been keeping secrets from me. Magic is… is real! There's vampires! Werewolves! They're dangerous and they've also been in my house!"

"Jenna—"

"It doesn't change the fact that I look stupid to everyone! Why would you all hide this from me??"

She cried out and Cherith swallowed.

"I didn't want to hide the truth from you, Jenna. I wanted to tell you, heck I kept dropping hints, but then there's Elena and Alaric who don't want you involved in all this—"

Jenna huffed.

"—and I dunno, I guess I was a bit wary about how you'd take it!"

Cherith sighed exasperatedly and Jenna shook her head.

"I just… I need time to think. I need time for myself. I don't even feel safe anymore."

She muttered shakily to herself, walking to her car and Cherith followed her with a sad look on her face.

"You're still going?"

Jenna winced internally, feeling guilt and sadness at her niece's tone but she needed this.

She needed to be far away from Mystic Falls.

Her whole world had literally come crashing down on her in a few minutes and she was feeling all type of ways. Anger, sadness, fear…

"I think it'd just be better for me to stay on campus for now. Finish my thesis and just submit it and be done with college and…"

Jenna sighs as she opens her door.

"I'm sorry Cherry, I just…"

Cherith nodded.

"It's okay. It's probably better this way anyways. Isobel is a bitch. Lord knows what she'd try to do to you out of spite."

A shudder of fear runs down Jenna's spine again and not for the first time, she wondered how many near death experiences she'd been in that had been caused by the… supernatural.

She shook her head a bit and entered her car, closing her door.

Cherith took a step back from it as the ignition was turned on, and before she drove off, Jenna hesitantly turned to Cherith.

"Do you… need a ride home?"

As Cherith opened her mouth to decline, Jenna scoffed in a self deprecating manner.

"Oh. Right. You can fly. I'm being stupid as usual aren't I?"

With a sad chuckle, she drove out of Mystic Falls, and Cherith could only watch her zoom off with a sad look on her face.

"I hate this town."

Grove Hill Cemetery.

Later that afternoon.

Isobel Flemming's car drives inside the cemetery and stops and Isobel's compelled driver gets out of the driver's seat, opening the side door for the female vampire to step out of the car.

"Just because you can't be compelled doesn't mean I can't force you to come with me."

She then turned towards the figure inside.

"It's just better for you to comply rather than be forcefully pushed out."

With a sigh Elena disgruntledly walks out. Her day had been so discomforting.

After all that happened with Jenna, and then Caroline informing her that Matt knew what she was… and then Katherine rendering her unconscious and handing her over to Isobel who she'd been actively trying to avoid all the while. And then apparently Isobel betrayed Katherine and it's been all so confusing.

She hadn't even been able to check on her sister all day and Jeremy had left as soon as Jenna had arrived.

She only hoped Jenna was still there at least, with all that was happening, it would be difficult to head over to the hospital.

Better not to, so as not to lead anyone of questionable character to her sister.

"So, You were compelled to betray Katherine?"

Isobel ignore the question as she walked with purpose, Elena right behind her.

"If I was, I couldn't tell you."

"So you lied then. You did find Klaus, didn't you? He knows where I am now. Are you taking me to him?"

Isobel ignores her again, eliciting a small huff from the doppelganger and the brunette vampire stops in front of a tombstone and crouches down.

It made Elena curious.

"What is this?"

Isobel clears some leaves from the tombstone and it read 'In loving memory – Isobel Flemming – Jan 18, 1978 – May 4, 2007'

"My parents, your grandparents, they put it here when it became clear that the police weren't gonna find my body. They visit every week, and they bring flowers, even though there's no one buried here. The Isobel they knew is dead. So maybe there's a part of me that's buried here, the… human part… the part that I abandoned when I… when I choose to become a vampire…"

She paused slightly before continuing.

"The part that used to dream about the day that she'd know her daughter."

That stopped Elena short as her heart panged in her chest.

"What?..."

Isobel shrugs unconcerned.

"And instead… you got to meet the other part…The part that would betray her own flesh and blood."

At that moment, her phone rang, startling Elena but she ignores her, picking the phone.

"I have Katherine and the moonstone. Is the doppelgänger safe?"

Isobel nods.

"Yes."

"Good. Then let her go."

Isobel frowns, confused at the order.

"Let her go?"

"Indeed. Klaus has everything he needs for now. Your part is finished. You did what he compelled you to do."

She nods, a slight look of relief in her face.

"I'm done?"

"You're done."

With that, she hangs up and her look of relief grew on her face, making Elena curious.

"Who was that?"

Isobel frowned, moving her hand to her necklace.

"I'm so sorry, Elena. For everything. For what it's worth, you have a good family behind you. Sorry I was such a disappointment."

As soon as she said that though she yanks off her necklace and she lets out a wailing scream as she starts burning in the sunlight.

Elena jumps back with a startled look, horror on her face as the woman she'd come to despise bursts into flames on the ground in front of her grave.

And Elena falls to her knees, weak with shock.

Gilbert Residence.

A moody Cherith walks towards her house that early evening after her talk with Jenna.

She'd spent some time in the forests, just testing her powers and basking in them as much as she could while her mind was on a number of things.

Honestly if Cherith could check her blood pressure at any moment, she was sure it'll almost be critical.

As she walked towards the porch, the front door opened and a sad but determined Bonnie walked out, closing the door.

"Hey Bonnie."

Bonnie's head immediately snapped towards the girl and her eyes brightened with relief.

"Cherry?! Oh my God! You're okay!"

She jogged down the porch towards the younger girl, pulling her into a hug, eliciting a small huff from her.

"A little space to breath, Bon-Bon."

"Oh, oops…"

Bonnie smiled abashedly as she stepped back, looking at the redhead's dull face.

"Are you sure you're good?"

Cherith shrugged.

"As good as can be, I guess… what's been going on?"

Bonnie looked her over again.

The previous night had been very odd, no doubt about that. And it made Bonnie know that there really was something different about Cherith Gilbert.

Heck, she hoped to find any information in her Grams' journals, or even the grimoires found from Jonas Martin.

Which gave her an idea.

She suspected Cherith might know something… that she might just be as different as Bonnie suspected, and the only way to know that was to bring it up with the girl… as normal as possible of course.

One thing she knew about the girl before her was her hatred of being questioned, or someone butting into her personal space like they deserved to.

"I'm fine, Bonnie. Truly. Now what's up?"

Cherith gave her a look and Bonnie smiled.

"Okay, fine. Um, with the Martins… gone…"

Bonnie hesitated and Cherith shrugged.

"Well Jonas was a scholar and he kept a lot of grimoires and information that should not be left in the wrong hands. How about you help me out with browsing through them and taking them from the apartment? I know Jeremy would love to help, but hey, another witch's help would be appreciated."

She smiled softly and Cherith snorted amused.

"And here I was thinking you were about to ask for a magical sparing buddy. Not that I'd even mind that anyways."

Bonnie grinned.

"That's also not a bad idea. Maybe we could plan that out after."

Cherith nodded with a sigh.

"Cool then. Whenever you're ready for the heist, you just tell me."

"It's not a heist, Cherry."

"Whatever you say. Also…"

Cherith grabbed Bonnie's wrist with a focused look, startling the girl a bit.

"Hmm…"

Cherith frowned slightly as she felt something different within her mocha skinned friend.

"There's something different about you. Like it's surrounding you or something."

Bonnie raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?"

"Yeah. What did you do?"

Bonnie grinned.

"Well… I might have found the old witch's house, and they might have given me access to their magic."

Cherith's eyebrows raised.

"Well that's a lot of power right there. We really should spar some time soon. Although I'm not good with magical spells and all… it could give us an idea of how different chaos magic is from nature magic."

Bonnie frowned slightly.

"Chaos magic?"

Cherith waved off the question.

"Oh it's just something. Anyways… I should probably head on in for some rest. My day has been an absolute clusterfuck of emotions and I'd just like to lay in my bed and bury myself in it while ignoring the woes of the world as it's not my business."

Bonnie laughed softly, shaking her head at the girl.

"You sure you're good though?"

Cherith shrugged.

"No. But I'll be."

She winked at Bonnie and walked towards the front door.

"See you later Bon-Bon. Call me for the heist."

"It's not an heist!"

Bonnie's exasperated sigh made Cherith snort as she entered the house.

As the front door closed shut, Bonnie turned back to it with a curious look on her face.

Chaos magic.

Chaos magic?

Where had she heard that before…

Or rather yet… where could she learn about it and what it's about?

Was it another form of magic?

Was it different from nature magic?

Did the old witches know?

So many questions, but how to get the answers…

Alaric's Residence.

Later that night.

Katherine wakes up in a strange apartment, blinking slightly, only to pause as she spots a warlock casting a spell on someone sitting in a chair.

There are two vases.

One is full of blood, the other is empty and knocked over on its side.

She starts to get up and sees that Elena's necklace is gone.

Looking closely, she sees that it is Alaric in the chair.

Suddenly, he opens his eyes and gets up. The warlock bends down in a bow

Katherine gets up slowly, a wary look in her eyes as Alaric turns around and sees her.

"Somno Ritum Per Dax Ritum, Somno Ritum Per Dax Ritum,Somno Ritum Per Dax Ritum."

Maddox, the warlock, chants and Katherine swallows the feeling in her guts.

"Alaric?"

She calls out, and a playful smirk grew on the history teacher's face, a smirk that seemed so foreign on his face.

It looked so familiar to her.

With a look at the door, she wastes no time blurring over but an invisible force knocks her to the ground.

Alaric let's out a small and amused chuckle as he walks over to her slowly, Katherine getting to her feet as she turns to him.

"Zdravei, Katerina."

He says in a Slavic accent as he takes her face in his hands, his eyes bright and filled with amusement and malice.

"I have missed you so."

Katherine shudders as fear fills her at the sight of the person who had made her run for 500 years… regardless of the face he was presently wearing. She knew it was him.

"Klaus!"

The Original smiles at her.

Hi guys!

So yeah, small info on what's going on in the background.

Bonnie can now call on the power of a hundred witches.

Matt knows Caroline is a vamp and has informed her mother.

Isobel done and gone and killed herself.

Klaus is in the picture.

I'm trying to move things faster so we can get to Klaus and move further into Cherith's main storyline.

Also because I'm writing an Harry Potter OC fic that I'm really interested in and it's sort of taking my writing time too… as well as a number of other things I'm busy with.

Next chapter, we'll see a little practice sparing between Bonnie and Cherith.

I was discussing the end of my fic with a friend and she told me to kill everyone off including Cherith.

Wipe them from existence, lmao!!

Though it's a nice idea never done before so…*evil smirk*

But lol, my fic isn't going to be 'and they lived happily ever after.'I mean, there will be… sort of.

It won't be like Jk Rowling's happily ever after that killed awesome characters like Fred Weasley or Tonks, Remus, Sirius and Cedric.

Be prepared for it to be weird.

I don't want to end my story like normal fics do.

After all, my story only focuses on my OC and her descent into being a full on nexus being, so the TVD storyline is just background.

But I hope you look forward to the next chapter!!!!

Now that Klaus is in the picture the storyline is quickly getting to Cherith hauling her ass to another country Soo enough!

Hope you look forward to it guys!!!!
