Cherith grunted in pain, holding her side and she forced herself to sit up, slightly teary eyed.

She glared at the figure that stood a few feet from her in a dark alleyway, and a cold cackle-like laughter resonated around the area with a slight echo in between.

"So weak… so useless… THIS, is the Scarlet Witch?"

The figure huffed, sauntering forward, dressed in all black and her long strongly black curls flying madly in the air.

"I think not…"

She sneered though Cherith couldn't see it as the alleyway was slightly darkened, compared to the bright afternoon sunniness that shone outside the alley.

An exasperated sigh escaped Cherith's lips as she wondered how the fuck her 'relaxing' trip turned into this… nightmare!

May 22nd.

"Oh look! Should we take that tower bus?"

Leslie eagerly pointed at a light blue coaster bus on the other side of the road that was getting slightly crowded.

Cherith though, had her eyes on everything. At least everything her eyes could see at a time.

New York was certainly different from Mystic Falls that much was true.

The overabundance of people on the streets, going to their different destinations while walking past each other in a stream of loud ambient energies.

It was lively… it was loud, bright, crowded…

It was...

Annoying!

Okay… Cherith had nothing against anyone or anything, but New York had just made her realize she wasn't cut out for the busy city life.

It just wasn't her.

Presently, she, Leslie and Chad surprisingly, had ditched their supervisor immediately they walked out the doors of their hotel.

Then again, they hadn't been the only ones to do so.

It wasn't like Mrs. O'Leary would care. She'd probably sigh in relief and go drink or something.

That woman had always been a raging alcoholic, a good one too, seeing as she kept it from the school board.

"What do you think, Cherry?"

Leslie turned to her friend who shrugged.

"I dunno. I'm in New York, the big apple, yet I'm… bored."

She groused and Chad and Leslie snorted.

"You're not bored bestie of mine… your introversions is just showing up once more."

Chad chuckled and read a message on his phone.

"Well lucky for you I guess, I just got a message from my cousin who works at a very high end night club and he's going to be having his shift in a couple of days. He said I could invite some of my friends. You guys up for it?"

"Yes!"

Cherith immediately cut in, a slightly manic look on her face.

"Definitely! But please tell me we won't have any trouble with age and stuff, cause let me tell you something bozo, I'm emancipated and I want to feel more like it."

She gave Chad a threatening look and he laughed freely, raising his hand up in playful surrender.

"Got it, red. Don't worry, my cousin's got an in. He won't disappoint."

"Great! Now anyone feeling awfully creeped out by that bunny staring at us from down the street?"

Cherith stage whispered, her eyes stuck on a dark grey bunny opposite the street by an alleyway, a small carrot in one hand it munched and it's eyes following them way too seriously for it to be a normal bunny.

"Bunny? What bunny?"

Leslie's neck immediately snapped to stare where Cherith was looking and the trio stopped in front of a shop as the stared opposite them, ignoring the grumblings of some that had to walk around them.

It only continued to stare and Leslie let out a small whimper while Cherith kept her eyes on the bunny, even as a cold feeling crept down her spine.

"Should we… should we help it?"

Chad asked reluctantly and before Cherith could turn an exasperated look on him, Leslie immediately grabbed Chad's hand.

"Fuck no. Let's move you two."

She said slightly shaky and Cherith shrugged, following behind the two, even as she turned to watch the weird creature one last time, but it was gone.

Cherith though, still couldn't fight the weird feeling of being watched.

Normally she'd ignore it, but with everything that had been happening in her life, she knew it wasn't to be ignored.

And it didn't help that she was surrounded by hundreds of people in a street, even as cars honked down the road and birds chirped all around. It was all a little too loud for someone like her that was generally a small town girl and was giving her a little bit of a headache.

And so, she puffed out, stopping.

"I'll meet up with you guys later. I need to check out a bookstore."

She lied as the two turned to her, a worried look on Leslie's face.

"Cherry… Are you sure?... It's… it's not safe walking alone."

Cherith snorts, waving off her concerns.

"It's okay Les… besides it's afternoon. I just want to check the bookstore, have a little quick look around town and then be done with it all. Promise. Cross my heart and hope you die."

Chad gave her a funny look.

"Isn't it cross my heart and hope TO die?"

"Hush Chad. I can say what I want, I'm Cherith Gilbert."

She gave them one last wave and walked off, her eyes slightly glancing back at the alleyway from earlier but walking off.

It was a scary thing, being alone in the world, Cherith thought as she sat in a small and quaint café, by the ceiling to floor windows, staring out as the skies turned a beautiful orange and dark blue.

She sat with a cold drink and a half eaten baked snack on the table, her mind on quite a number of things.

She'd looked forward to the trip mostly to get her mind off of the things that plagued her in Mystic Falls, and yet, it seemed to haunt her even in the city.

Oh don't get her wrong, she found the city loud but eye opening, but it still didn't take her mind off of what her life was built on.

The Scarlet Witch.

A being capable of spontaneous creation.

A literal being.

It all sounded so wonderful, and yet, when faced with the reality of the situation, it made her down to earth.

She still felt like that little 6 year old girl from years back who poured green paint on her sister's head when she called her a little brat.

Or the little 13 year old that had flooded a neighbors home when she'd called her a devil child for mocking her ridiculous hairstyle.

Or the 15 year old who found out she had magic and could do whatever she wanted.

She still felt that way… only that she'd become even more jaded with the world. The things she'd had to go through, people she'd seen die…

But she still felt young, and it scared her deep down that she had to go through a number of things before even being fucking 18!

A small sigh escaped her lips as she took a sip of her drink, ignoring the honking of car outside and it's owner cursing out at a guy who seemingly didn't know how to cross the road like normal people.

The sound of her phone ringing brought her out of her reverie as she dug into her bag and picked, a small smile on her face.

"Hey Jens! How's it going? Looking forward to graduating?"

She joked as Jenna snorted over the phone.

Jenna was done with her Masters schooling and apparently looking forward to being the adult she was born to be… according to her.

And Cherith was super excited for her but honestly she didn't even see the excitement of college anymore.

Maybe it was because of the number of people out to get her and the fact that she really needed to practice her powers and classes just didn't seem that important to her anymore.

Was gap year still an option or what…

"Hey kiddo… what have you been up to?"

Cherith sighed, relaxing into her chair.

"Not much. Being a tourist, creeping people out… watching bunnies creep me out… stuff like that."

"Well that's good to know. Listen, I got a call from that photographer from a few months back, Amelia Banks?... She has this gallery exhibit I forgot to tell you about a couple of weeks ago in New York for her historical shoot of Mystic Falls and some of your pictures are going to be put up as well. She's to send some to me but I figured you could also show up there if you're up for it?"

"Oh…"

Cherith said with an interested look on her face.

She'd totally forgotten about the shoot and all if she was being honest. But she also wanted to check it out too. Maybe she could ask Leslie to accompany her?

"So talk to me niece of mine. Are you going to check it out?"

Cherith shrugged.

"Why not? I'm bored anyways."

Jenna let out a burst of laughter.

"Really?! As big as New York is, you can't find anything to do??"

Cherith huffed.

"Gee aunty, why don't you give me some pointers then?"

"Hm… There's central park. I know how lazy you can be, you could just go there and recharge your battery."

"Jen—"

"There's the statue of liberty. The empire state building, times square… oh! Brooklyn bridge! The museum of natural history, the grand central te—"

"Okay! Okay, I get it! New York hoards a lot of things… ooooh!"

She said sarcastically and Jenna chuckled.

"Just… try to have fun Cherry… it's the least you deserve, what with everything that's been happening all around."

Cherith sighed.

Jenna was right anyways… she was always right.

And Cherith really deserved some time to explore, have fun and just about try being an actual freaking tourist!

"Fine… I'll do the tour thing."

"Great! And don't forget the exhibit while you're at it. Try to get out and make the rest of your week as fun as could be before heading back to boring old Mystic Falls."

Cherith smirked.

"You could always get the fuck out of it too you know?"

"It's sad I can't knock you over the head for your abysmal language. Then again Jeremy and I are bad influences. But don't turn the subject towards me. This is you I'm giving advice to. Do you know how many people wish they could get advice from me?"

Cherith playfully thought.

"I dunno… Matt's mom?"

Jenna sighed and Cherith snickered.

"Alright I think we've talked enough. Get the fuck off my phone now."

"Ah! You said a bad word too."

"Shut up Cherry. We'll talk later okay?"

"Yeah. Bye."

"Love you."

The call cut and Cherith smiled as she thought about what Jenna had told her.

She was in New York… she could act like a tourist for once.

And her life had pretty much been a rollercoaster for over a year now. Why shouldn't she let loose and just act the 16 year old she actually was?

As she walked out the café later, she texted Leslie on her idea to check out some wonderful landmarks the following day and of she was interested in doing so with her, just the both of them.

May 23rd.

"You know… from the pictures, I'd always thought she'd be larger than this."

Cherith said as she stood near the statue of liberty, looking at it even as she took a picture of it with her camera.

"How huge did you think it would be?"

Cherith shrugged.

"I dunno, just thought it'd leave me with vertigo as I tried to keep staring into the skies."

The two friends had started their journey from Times Square that morning, having a nice breakfast at a café and then stumbling across a flash mob that started in the crowd which honestly amused Cherith as she watched.

Cherith had opted for a more quiet day than was expected of her.

On another day she'd probably spend the whole week having fun and just about causing as much chaos as possible but at the moment, she just wanted a… time off… to enjoy the little things, just like Jenna had advised.

"Lady liberty's still huge though. It's not like you could topple her over with just a push of your finger."

Leslie shook her head and Cherith smirked.

"Is that a challenge?... Because I can—"

"Woah, no! Bad Cherry! Bad!"

She dragged back a laughing Cherith who stopped as she suddenly felt apprehensive.

Turning around a bit subtly with her camera raised as if trying to take a random picture, she looked around for a moment.

It felt like someone was… watching her…

"—ry! Are you even listening??"

Leslie's voice echoed and she turned to her.

"Sorry what?"

Her friend sighs with a small smile.

"I was saying we should head off now, back to the hotel. Chad and the guys are planning a pool party of sorts as Mrs. O'Leary is sort of MIA at the moment."

Cherith peered up at that.

"Oh, that sounds fun. Will there be food and drinks?"

She asked as they began walking away and Leslie snorted.

"Of course… you'd ask that first."

"Because I know where my priorities lie."

She joked, turning around once more but still seeing nothing.

It was either she was going mad or someone was actually watching her. She didn't know which scared her though.

"Come on Cherry! The waters awesome!"

Leslie called out in the pool where she stood with 2 cheerleader friends of hers but Cherith waved her off.

"Nope. Have fun, I'm fine where I am."

Cherith smirked as she held a drink where she sat.

She wore a red 3 piece bikini outfit with Chinese dragon prints on it. All around her, her classmates had fun, danced, drank… well away from prying eyes of course, and of course, coupled up.

She watched as Chad and Leslie laughed at something and idly wondered if they'd be able to get together before graduation.

She heard Chad was going to be studying at the University of Michigan on a football scholarship.

And with Leslie going to UCLA, it would definitely be difficult for the two.

Besides, they hadn't spent as much time together, only recently and it was basically Cherith that made that possible… the greatest matchmaker that she was… she thought smugly.

Her eyes moving around, she enjoyed the drinks passed her way, feeling slightly loose and less stressed already and slowly bopping her head to the music, even smiling at people who approached her.

But it seemed to get even more as she suddenly began to get disoriented after about 30 minutes.

It started slowly, just with her blinking a bit to stop the droop she was beginning to feel.

She stood up, hoping to walk it off, only to stumble a bit which surprised her.

"What the…"

She glances down at her 4th drink of the day.

On a normal day, it took a lot for her to begin feeling tingly, and the alcohol percentage had to be quite large…

But right now…

She raised the glass to herself, taking a sniff and frowned when it smelt unfamiliar.

It was a bluish green color and normally she'd down the drink and just embrace the high she was presently feeling.

That is, until she stumbled again, and as she looked around, everywhere and everyone seemed disembodied.

And then there was the music… she wasn't enjoying it anymore.

She needed to leave… now.

As she moved away from the area, placing her drink into the hand of an unsuspecting classmate, she went towards the exit, not caring where she was going.

Her mind felt so far away.

It was like she was high, yet not.

And as much as the feeling seemed normal, it wasn't.

And then… a voice…

'… cOmE… tO… mE…'

Cherith shivered at how it sounded, like an echo in an echo… in the very forefront of her mind.

And it felt like her legs were moving with a mind of its own.

Wait… where was she going??

"Oof!"

She hit something, and suddenly… it was over. Everything seemed to be better. The drowsiness she had been feeling, suddenly gone.

She was herself again.

"Pardon me but, are you okay?"

A British accented voice so different from the usual accented voice of Vampire 2.0 and his brother cut through her thoughts.

Shaking her head slightly, she opened her eyes and looked up to stare at who she honestly felt was the most beautiful boy in the world.

He was… tall… and a bit tanned and built with a lithe body.

Jet black hair in a pompadour haircut and his eyes…

Those were honestly the most attractive thing on him… and maybe his lips but who the fuck was looking at them.

His eyes were a bright cerulean blue color, but as he stood next to a large window where the sun seemed to reflect in, they seemed gold… and then again, they seemed all seven colors of the rainbow come to life.

Wait… what??

"—you okay?"

He asked again and Cherith suddenly realized she'd been staring at an actual stranger for quite a while.

Fuck!

She wasn't that type of girl!

He was just beautiful, and she would not be ashamed in her observation.

And so, she cleared her throat.

"Hm. I'm fine. I'm just nursing a freaking headache. Sorry about ramming into you like a lost baby chick."

A look of amusement came on his face and his eyes seemed to brighten as a grin appeared on his face as he spoke.

"It's quite alright. No harm done."

Pft!

Okay, there was no way this guy was freaking real!

He looked like the actual sun came to life!

Now she was waxing poetics about some stranger. Oh God… she was turning to ELENA!!!!!

Arghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

She let out a scream in her head all the while appearing u bothered physically.

Before the stranger could speak though, she heard hurried footsteps and turned to see Leslie looking around and her name on the tips of the girls mouth.

She waved a hand though, and a look of relief appeared on her face as she walked over.

"Oh my God, Cherry! I was so worried! Gina said she saw you looking a bit sick and stumbling a few minutes ago, I thought—"

She paused her rambling when she realized someone was in front of Cherry and her jaw drops as she stared at him.

The unnamed boy, because he couldn't be more than 22 in Cherith's opinion, and Cherith saw anyone from 25 and below to still be a boy child in her opinion.

He gave her a polite nod.

"Sorry. We stumbled into each other."

Leslie shook her head for what seemed like a million times.

"N-no worries… it's okay… she's fine… you're fine—I—I mean—"

Cherith let out a snort before elbowing her friend.

"Sorry about earlier again. Of I caused any bodily harm just send the police my way. I stay in this hotel too."

The boy let out a small laugh and nods.

"Of course. Pleasure to meet you. Truly."

And with a last smile, he walked off, both girls unknowingly turning and watching as he walked through the double doors.

They stayed that way for almost a minute before Leslie breathed out.

"Wow… who is he?"

Cherith shrugged.

"I don't know."

There had been something… off, about him, and she couldn't place a finger on just what it was.

It couldn't be the slightly playful look that had been on his face, or his eyes or even his smile.

But he had just seemed to exude something nice when she had been close to him.

Everything had been… peaceful?... Nice… ugh! She didn't know! There had just been… something!

The drowsy feeling she had been experiencing was gone and at the back of her mind already…

And yet, when she focused on her heartbeat… it was quickened… and her magic… it seemed so…

Okay, who the fuck was he?!

She snarled internally and then angrily stomped a foot on the ground much to Leslie's surprise.

"Seems to me like yours having one of those internal discussions with yourself again. Why?"

She smirked.

"Was it something that super hot guy said to you?... Seriously though, have you been holding out on me??"

She points accusing fingers at the redhead whose eyes widened.

"Wait, what??"

But Leslie continues her semi rant.

"Because that is so not girlcode missy! And damn, did I embarrass myself in front of him! He must have thought me a dumb bitch!"

She whined and Cherith laughed, feeling even more better than ever.

New York was really shaping up to be a weird place, and surprisingly enough, as good as it felt, she couldn't wait to get back home for graduation.

As she walked back with Leslie… a little part of her mind just couldn't forget the boy from earlier… who he was… and perhaps if she'd ever even see him again.

May 24th.

Cherith felt quite excited on this day.

It was sunny and it seemed she was getting used to the noisy and vibrant life that was New York, even though she didn't believe herself capable of staying for long.

But the real reason for her excitement was the fact that she was heading to Amelia Banks' exhibit. And exhibit that would show her and leave people in awe of her beauty and absolute greatness.

Was she getting a god complex?

Yes.

Yes she was.

"You're doing that smile again."

Leslie shook her head amused as she put some rosy pink lipgloss on her lips and Cherith turned to her.

"What smile?"

"The smile you always do? You know… the 'I'm the greatest person in the universe and the rest of you are beneath me'. That smile."

Cherith blinked and then looked herself in the mirror, shrugging.

"Hm, must be subconsciously. But true though… can't argue with my subconscious if it feels that way."

She smiled smugly and Leslie snorted.

Cherry was dressed casually but smart, in loose dark blue jeans with ripped knees, a purple crop top with a dark blue jean jacket over it and white sneakers, a purple bucket hat completing her look.

"We should get going… especially since we don't plan to stay for long."

Leslie said as she stood up and Cherith nodded.

Cherith smiled as she walked past the large pictures representing the small town history that was Mystic Falls.

For someone like her that had lived there all her life, it seemed like something she could overlook, seeing as she saw most of the things almost everyday, but seeing it now, the was Amelia Banks had. Captured everything… it seemed so different from the Mystic Falls she knew yet similar.

People marveled as they walked past pictures and Cherith grinned at how in awe they seemed to be about a little town in small town Virginia.

Then there were the pictures with her in it, made to look slightly medieval especially with the outfit she'd chosen that day.

She stood in front of the largest one where she stood in front of the Wickery Bridge and it looked all so melancholic.

"I'm sorry but, are you the model?"

She heard a feminine voice next to her and turned to the lady next to her, dressed formally and a rectangular shaped glasses on her face, a polite yet curious look on her face.

Cherith felt slightly amused at being called a model.

"Well, I don't know about model, but yes I am. As well as a fellow townsman of Mystic Falls."

"Really? Even it's name is so fascinating. Mystic Falls."

"You can see why I chose the town now, Sarah."

Another voice cut in and Cherith turned to see Amelia walking over with a wide grin on.

"Miss Gilbert, I didn't think you'd be here!"

Cherith gave a small wave.

"Well I'm sort of on a trip so I figured, why not."

Amelia grinned.

"Sarah, this is Cherith Gilbert, my stand in model. Miss Gilbert, this is Sarah Winston, an agent friend of mine."

Cherith shook said lady's hand.

"Hello."

"Have you perhaps thought about a career in modeling?"

Cherith paused at the question, tilting her head slightly in a sort of puzzled fascination.

"Hm… I don't think I have."

Sarah nods.

"Well it'd definitely fit you. You have the look, the body and the charisma. You should think on it. Mayhaps I could poach you from Amelia here."

Amelia snorts, even as a young man walked over and whispered something to her and she nods, turning back to them.

"Well, looks like my attention is needed elsewhere. I'll leave you both to talk about opportunities. It was good to see you again Miss Gilbert. Sarah."

And she walked off, Sarah giving her a small wave and then turning back to Cherith as she fished out her card.

"Just in case you changed your mind. You definitely could do great at it."

"I'll think about it."

Cherith nonchalantly said as the woman gives her a nod and walks off.

Just then, Leslie excitedly rushes over.

"What was that all about?"

"Eh. She thought I was model material."

Leslie's eyes bulged out.

"Really?! Are you going to do anything about it??"

Cherith gave her a look.

"No way."

She moved to another picture, ignoring the exasperated sigh from Leslie.

"Oh come on! It'll be fun! You travel all around, earn money and do whatever you want!"

"Let's not forget watch the food I eat, go on a freaking diet, walk in ridiculously high heels and even more ridiculous outfits. I can't do it, and so I respect models who can."

Leslie shook her head amused before sighing playfully.

"Oh wow… my dear friend is being approached left and right for great opportunities and all she can think about is… food."

"Well then, do you want to be a model?"

Leslie was quiet for a minute.

"No… not really."

"I rest my case."

"Yeah, yeah. Come on baby goose. I think I saw a cute guy over there."

Cherith shook her head amused as she followed her friend who seemed to prance excitedly around.

They soon left a while after as afternoon came upon them and lunch was had.

Cherith had wanted to go straight to the hotel after but they'd stumbled past an high end jewelry store that Leslie had pleaded for them to check it out.

Not that Cherith was complaining anyways.

She loved shiny stuff. She was half cat like that.

As she moved past some of the glass display cases, marveling at a beautiful and obviously expensive pair of gold diamond encrusted earrings, her eyes moved to the price and she shook her head.

$25,000.

Yikes.

Wear that in Mystic Falls and she wasn't sure it wouldn't end up missing… talk less of on the streets of New York.

"Hey Leslie, where—"

Cherith turned and paused as she saw her friend testing a large gold rose engagement ring, a staff by her side and she shook her head, turning away in amusement.

The pieces were beautiful, that much was true, but Cherith wasn't looking to buy anything at the moment.

Also, nothing caught her eyes.

Just then, Leslie bounded over.

"Oh my God, Cherry, I just tried on my dream engagement ring! It's absolutely amazing!"

Cherith snorts.

"How did you even get them to let you try it on? Cause I guarantee it's not all customers they believe want to get something."

Leslie shrugged.

"I told her you were my fiancée's sister who doesn't like me but I'm trying to bond with you, said some sad story in between, blah, blah, blah and the rest is history!"

"Gee… I had no idea you had a thing for Jeremy."

Leslie huffed.

"I certainly do not. I have a thing for your 6'4 muscular, dark haired and green eyed football player brother who is my fiancée."

Cherith rolled her eyes, amused.

"Oh, of course… I had forgotten about Vladimir Gilbert."

Leslie gave her a look.

"I assure you I'd never date anyone called Vladimir."

Cherith snorted, but before she could say anything else though, the double doors to the store were blasted open and the customers and staff let out shrieks and shouts.

Cherith moved back as the glass broke around them and the air picked up in the store.

"What the fuck?!"

Leslie screamed out even as they crouched to the ground.

Wind seemed to pick up in the store and everywhere seemed clouded grey. The only thing Cherith could hear were the startled screams even as some tried to locate an exit.

"Cherry?; Where are you??"

Leslie shouted out and Cherith felt even useless at that time.

She felt chills go up her spine.

This wasn't normal.

She crouched again as the glass table next to her exploded and without a care, she created a forcefield around herself, blocking the shards from getting any closer.

Thankfully, it was misty and so no one saw her, but it wasn't like she cared as a chandelier exploded above her and Leslie who was a few feet away from her as she spotted the bright pink jacket she had on.

With a wild lunge, she threw herself over her friend, throwing the forcefield over them and the chandelier exploded over it, rocking the store and more screams were heard.

This wasn't right.

What was causing this??

Was someone after her, and if so… innocent people were here!

"Mommy! Wake up!"

She heard a little girl's voice call out in panic and anger clouded her mind.

She glances up at the camera around the store. Thankfully they'd been destroyed during the first wave and so no one would see her.

"Cherry?"

She heard Leslie.

"Hold on!"

And with a silent shout, she called the chaos in her soul out, and it exploded from her, expanding out in crimson gold light.

Cherith for a moment, thought she heard an angry shout from… everywhere… and then, it was over.

The mist seemed to banish right before their eyes, and as Cherith took in the sight in front of her, she could only wonder what had caused such destruction.

"Well, apart from this small elbow cut, you seem to be fine."

A paramedic said as he cleaned the slight wound and Cherith thanked him absentmindedly.

The ambulance had been called a few minutes earlier and she watched as two bodies were carted away, one containing the body of that little girl's mum who had died placing herself over her daughter.

It all made Cherith sick to the bone.

This was no normal attack, that much was true.

But was she the one being targeted, or had there been someone else in that store that had been?

"Hey…"

Leslie walked over, face pale and looking otherwise fine, though her eyes were red rimmed from crying.

Cherith walked away from the paramedic after a quick thanks and over to her friend.

"Hey… do they know what caused it?"

She pointed at the cops that had been interviewing the witnesses and victims and Leslie shook her head.

"No. But we're free to go."

Cherith nodded.

There would be no way to explain this incident of Cherith was being honest.

How do you explain away something as strange… except maybe putting it down as some gas leak of sorts.

"Thanks, by the way…"

Leslie spoke softly and Cherith turned to her, puzzled.

"What?"

"… I saw what you did… I won't tell anyone."

As they walked down the street, Cherith felt like her insides had frozen into ice.

Leslie had seen?

She could deny it right now, say she did nothing and she had no idea what Leslie was talking about, but they both knew… she knew Leslie was just that observant.

"I really won't tell anyone."

Leslie promised once more, and as much as Cherith would like to believe her… deep down…

She felt like something messy was brewing.

So yes!

That's it!

Trouble seems to be brewing around Cherith now more than ever.

We saw how Cherith could have been a model, lol.

Early in the year when I was planning out the timeline for this book, I had planned to actually make her into a model. I don't think I've ever seen a Gilbert sister or cousin fic with a career as a model and it just seemed fun to try, but with everything going on with her, modelling is certainly the least of her many worries.

Anyways!

In the second part, a certain someone will make a cameo, just like in this one, a certain someone already did.

Also, did anyone peep the creepy bunny?

Lol… wonder what that is.

Also… it seems like it's been super unsafe for Cherith ever since she left Mystic Falls.

Mystic Falls is a very magic imbibed town. The original settlers apart from the Mikaelsons were werewolves, then the Mikaelsons with magic and also Esther's friend too. So basically, magic has shrouded that town for over a thousand years… it sort of kept her in a little bubble of protection, but it didn't mean that if anyone saw her in the town, they wouldn't be able to attack her, it's just that it sort of shrouded her powers.

But now, she's out of that bubble… easy pickings of sorts.

It's like a bad week for her, lol.

Not to forget Leslie knows about her! Or rather yet, Cherith thinks Leslie just found out. Is Leslie being smart? This way Cherith doesn't find it weird that Leslie already knows. But since Cherith is unsure about a lot of things happening… I wonder what she thinks about Leslie's finding out.

Next part will complete her one week seniors trip nightmare.

But the dangers are going to be worse.

P.S. The guy who cameo'd is NOT a Mikaelson, so don't mistake him for one.

Thanks for reading!
