"Guys get over here now, we got a survivor"

"Is he gonna make it?"

"I think he's gonna pull through now, he just needs to rest from here"

"He's been out cold for almost 2 weeks, and we're not anywhere close to reaching San Francisco yet"

"Art, please stay, we need you here with us"

"No worries buddy, you're in good hands, but you're in more danger if I continue to stay here. Don't rat on me now"

"They're gone now"

"You guys stay safe out there, we'll look after him"

"It's been almost a month now, is he even alive at this point"

"We may have to cut our losses if he doesn't wake up soon"

"Please you got to wake up, our friends are out there, and we're worried. Please you have to wake up soon"

"KAZUMA!"

Waking up after an unknown period of time was Kazuma as he found himself lying on a pissy cot with an empty blood bag hooked to his arm.

Pulling out the needle and blankets off him, he felt fatigue after being bed ridden and not being able to move after god knows how long.

Still he pushed himself as he got up and followed his way out the house he was living in, ready to ask some questions and look for some answers.

Thankfully he didn't had to look far as upon exiting the room he ran into Sekine as she was walking in the hallway with cola in her hand.

"Oh my god, you're finally awake" said Sekine happily, "Yeah, thanks for looking out for me and all" said Kazuma as he realized Sekine wore the same clothes as Yuri and her friends wore.

"And thanks for finally waking up, we were starting to get worried about" said Sekine before she continued to drink her soda.

"So I take it Yuri and the others are around here" asked Kazuma, "You know Yuri" asked Sekine.

"Yeah, the leader of the Afterlife Battle Front, and what not, why is she not around" asked Kazuma, "If she was here that be really nice, but as far as I or Irie know, she's still back in Japan" said Sekine.

"Wait what?" said Kazuma as he was starting to realize he wasn't in Kansas anymore.

"Yeah, you're in California buddy, in some rundown house in a very gloomy city" said Sekine as she continued to drink her soda happily till there was nothing left of the contents.

"This is a lot to take in from my perspective you know" said Kazuma as he looked at Sekine seriously, "No need to get upset, come with me, Irie was just making dinner for us" said Sekine as she gave Kazuma a shoulder to lean on as they made it to the dining table.

"Irie, make a plate for one more" said Sekine as Irie was hiding in the kitchen, "Did one of our friends came back" shouted Irie.

"Nope, but our sleeping charming here finally woke up" said Sekine before Irie popped her head out and saw that Kazuma was awake and alive.

"Hey" greeted Kazuma awkwardly, "Hello there, finally glad to see you awake and that you could join us" said Irie with a smile.

"Why don't you 2 sit down, dinner is almost ready" said Irie as the duo silently waited at the table till Irie came out and served them all a portion of curry.

"Thanks for the meal" they all said before they all started to share the meal together.

"So stranger, you got a name or should we keep calling you stranger and buddy" said Sekine, "Sekine you're being rude, we should at least introduce ourselves to him first. My name is Irie and you've already met Sekine, who are you good sir" asked Irie.

"Sup, names Kazuma" said Kazuma, "Great, now that we know each other by name, mind telling us how you know Yuri and why you were in that ship" asked Sekine.

"Sekine" chided Irie, "It's fine, honestly maybe you guys can fill in some holes for me" said Kazuma.

"I met Yuri and her gang shortly after I met Otonashi and a few other good people who were- are my friends after I had a bit of a falling out with my old friends" said Kazuma.

"I'm guessing there's a story behind that" said Irie, "It is, but to keep things brief, we had a party where no one was on their best behavior, with me being treated like the court jester, and it was during my relapsed NEET life did I got to meet my new friends when they visited my house" explained Kazuma.

"Now as for how I got stuck in that space ship, 2 words, Civil War" said Kazuma as this was eye opening for the girls.

"Wait you mean to tell us that you were all part of a Civil War" asked Irie, "Yes, and as crazy as it might sound, this Civil War was centered around me" said Kazuma.

"Yeah, that actually does sound crazy" said Sekine as Kazuma was ready to make smart remark, but chose not to since he hasn't given them enough context to know what happened.

"Anyways, once everyone had calmed down, I got abducted by a nightmare I thought that long behind me, when the perfect automaton golem girl greeted and abducted me within the head of the Destroyer, before I somehow wound up here" said Kazuma.

"What exactly did this golem girl do or wanted with you" asked Irie as this triggered a flinch from Kazuma as he began to recall during his short time with her.

1 Month Earlier

Shortly after Kazuma had been captured by the perfect golem and him getting blasted to a one way trip to California, he was slammed with his back against the wall.

"What the hell" said Kazuma as the girl began to get up in Kazuma's face, "It's been a long time master, I hope you've been on your best behavior since the last time we met" said the girl.

"Screw you, you screw loose psycho bitch, and let me go" said Kazuma before he was greeted by a solid slap to the face.

"That's a bad boy, talking to your master like that warrants some thorough punishment" said the girl as Kazuma looked at her defiantly.

"If you want to release some pent up stressed, try it on Darkness, also I'm no boy I'm a man" said Kazuma, "Hah, if you were a man, you'd know how to be well behaved" said the girl as she pulled Kazuma's head back.

"But you're right, you're neither a boy and far from a man, you're more of a puppy dog who's misbehaving, but no worries I know the tricks to make you more compliant" said the girl before she began to kiss Kazuma to our heroes surprise.

Feeling not only her tongue in his mouth, Kazuma definitely felt like she slipped a pill as well as he swallowed down 2 tablets.

"What the hell did you give me" demanded Kazuma, "Nothing dangerous I assure you, but it's something that'll make you more compliant" she said as Kazuma knew the implications of being under the influence of a date rape drug.

"You'll pay for this" growled Kazuma as he was already pitching a tent, "Aw, you're kinda cute when you're acting tough, but now we're gonna test how tough you can actually be" said the girl as she pushed Kazuma on the ground and started straddling his manhood.

"You can't deny you want this Kazuma, and all you got to do is submit to me, and you can start by barking like a dog" said the girl as she continued to grind on Kazuma while leading his hands up her boobs.

"I-" said Kazuma as he really wanted to resist, but admittingly this is where his low constitution kicks in as he was a horn dog who'd think with his cock, even if he had a girlfriend.

"Come on, bark for me once, and I'll let you feel my bare boobs" said the girl as she began to lead Kazuma's fingers to get under her poorly covered clothes.

"…Woof…" Kazuma said pathetically, "Oh, I'm sorry could you say that again, but more louder with passion" said the girl.

"Woof!" exclaimed Kazuma, "Good boy" said the girl as her top came off and got Kazuma's full attention, while her hair began to move on it's own to pick up a device to be placed on Kazuma's head.

"Keep this up, and you'll be rewarded" said the girl before slamming the device on Kazuma head.

"Hey, what's this" asked Kazuma as he felt a jolt of electricity dancing around his head as he began to hear a voice, one that was quite ominous at best.

"Listen to me child, don't be so quick to forgive those sinners that broke you're trust, they'll soon face their consequences justly for their betrayal on how they treated their leader, their savior, their king… their god" said Being X.

As Kazuma continued to scream in pain, this voice would continue to talk and try to sway Kazuma into believing that the actions of his friends should not be easily forgiven, no matter what false conspiracies they say, and how they will go back to being their worst self-cause that's human nature right there.

Just as progress was being made, this was where Kazuma's new journey in California had begun.

On ground level, we see that Iwasawa, Hisako, Irie, Sekine, and Minori were standing their ground as they used heavy weapons to hold back a new army of undead.

"God damn it, this feels like I'm part of a cheap horror game where they don't stop coming" said Hisako as she was blasting the undead away with a shotgun.

"Would you rather take your chances with those guys over there that Art and Jibril are dealing with" said Minori as she used her teeth to pull the pin to a grenade before lobbing it over as she used her handgun to take on the undead.

"I'd rather we didn't have to deal with any of them, instead I'd much rather continue our regular band practice and continue to just chill back in Japan" said Hisako.

"And yet, all this is a clear sign of there's something sinister going on here" said Sekine as Hisako grumbled under her breath.

"Now's not the time to argue" said Iwasawa as she slammed what can be described as a fire axe with a silver head, wrapped with nails on the upper part of the shaft into an undead, before whipping out and firing from her handgun.

"We should really think about retreating" said Irie as she swapped between firing corrosive motor shells on the undead, while helping reload Sekine's mounted LMG.

"Not until we clear ourselves a pathway on the Caltrain, so long as that crash sight remains in place, our chance for a safe passage becomes less safer" said Minori as about 2 mile away from them, they could visibly see the train wreck the was blocking their path.

"Incoming" shouted Jibril as she descended from the skies while wearing 2 wrist mounted nail guns that fired flaming hot nails.

"Where's Art" asked Iwasawa, "Holding off those shadow soldiers in place for the time being, right now he needs this" said Jibril as she went to fetch the rocket launcher that was kept with the group.

"Jibril, andelé, bring the rocket launcher over!" shouted Art as he managed to freeze the shadow soldiers in place.

Wasting no time, Jibril brought the weapon to Art, as he began to aim the weapon at the right spot to take them all out.

"When you guys see Satan, tell him I'm on my way back home" said Art, before one of the shadow soldiers were able to get one arm free and began to continue shooting at Art, causing him to misfire his on shot into the sky.

Back with Kazuma, the perfect golem had strapped him to the wall and removed the head device he had to endure for the last few hours, as she began to strip herself of her clothes.

"Come on master, you can't be tired, the fun is just about to begin" said the girl as she approached Kazuma, but that's when the rocket blew a hole in the side of the Destroyers head along with blasting the perfect golem girl into scrap.

"Not sure what was going on, Kazuma could only scream and pray that he would make it out alive as he began to crash land towards where our heroes were at.

"Everyone hit the deck!" shouted Hisako as they all hid under something, while Jibril lifted Art out of harms way as the head of the Destroyer continued it's course to seemingly crush the shadow soldiers to death.

"Where did that come from" asked Art, "I don't know, but it does look quite familiar" said Jibril as she began to lower Art back to ground level.

"You go check on the others, I'll see if there's anything worth salvaging" said Art as he approached the Destroyers head, where in turn he spotted Kazuma and saved his life at that moment.

Present

"Kazuma… hey Kazuma, you still there with us" asked Sekine as Kazuma snapped back to reality.

"I'm sorry, I must have blanked out, what was the question again" asked Kazuma, "We were asking you what happened to you while you were inside the Destroyer stuck with a golem girl you said" Irie said as she had a worried look on her face.

"Right, um next question cause some of it was a bit fuzzy" said Kazuma as the girls decided to take his word for it and move on with their activity.

"So you said you and all your friends had survived a recent Civil War about you right" asked Irie, "Yes" said Kazuma as he went back to eating his curry.

"Did anyone we know die" asked Irie as Kazuma looked at them both with a serious look, "No, thankfully no one died and no one who was killed couldn't easily pick themselves back up" said Kazuma.

"I guess all that's left to ask if you and everyone back home is all best friends again, so are they" asked Sekine as Kazuma thought about it for a minute.

"I'm gonna say yes for the most part" said Kazuma as he was pretty positive that Tanya and all those who weren't forced against their will to fight for his capture were locked up in prison somewhere.

"Does that also include your ex friends" asked Irie as Kazuma continued to eat his food, "If they were literally to start a Civil War for me, set their differences aside so we can fight as a team again, I say yes, me and my ex friends are on better terms" said Kazuma.

"Plus knowing them, wanting to redeem themselves to me and what not, I'm pretty sure they found a way to boat themselves from Japan to California" said Kazuma as the mention of this really brighten the girls day.

"Don't get our hopes up now Kazuma, cause you have no idea how much I've been crying and begging about wanting some back up from our friends" said Sekine.

"It's just a speculation, though I'm fairly certain back up is on it's way" said Kazuma as he too began to smile over the thoughts of hoping to see his friends again soon.

Across the Pacific Ocean

Coming in across the Pacific like Kazuma predicted was indeed everyone, including Tanya as they were on large cruise vessel, just weeks away from reaching the Californian coast line.

Standing on the side railings of the ship was Aqua as she looked out into the ocean as she could admit it was a beautiful sight to take in.

Joining her was Naofumi and Subaru, with the ladder handing her a hot drink as they all looked into the ocean.

"Thanks guys" said Aqua, "No biggie, we just came to keep you company is all" said Subaru before they heard static from the PA system.

"Subaru, get your ass front and centered out with all these other maggots who need to be properly trained how to fight, on the double private" shouted Tanya.

"I… should go" said Subaru before dipping out on the pair, "No worries I'm still here" said Naofumi.

"Thank you, I really mean it" said Aqua, "Hey, what are friends for" said Naofumi as he did look back to when they did dislike each other heavily, but were able to forgive things from the past to maintain this relationship.

And because of this, it gave everyone hope knowing that once they see Kazuma again, he too could let go of the past and enjoy the present with them.

Back in California

Following a cold trail at this point, Iwasawa and Jibril had been trying to track down Art since he ran off on them on grounds for their own safety.

Arguably he was right since his departure meant they didn't worry to much about facing the army of the undead, but more importantly the shadow soldiers, which was what that was worrying them

Currently back in Hillsdale where they saved Kazuma, they saw that Art hadn't came back to clear the train tracks.

"We should try following the train tracks up to San Francisco, seems the most logical in this situation" said Jibril, "Yeah, we should" said Iwasawa as she went to mount on her motorcycle, with Jibril taking the back seat as they continued to travel to San Francisco.

Elsewhere in California

Just a little north from Iwasawa and Jibril, we see that Hisako and Minori had instead tried exploring the California BART station instead, and while there was light undead activity, there was clearly no real signs of Art being anywhere near Millbrae as they both decided to share a coffee break from a café not far from them.

"So how should we go about it, follow alongside the BART tracks by car, or should we take our chances and walk our way through the BART tunnels" asked Hisako.

"We should continue following it by car, granted I don't think it matters all that much now since we're just a few miles away from reaching San Francisco as it is, but I'd rather not risk getting jumped while in those tunnels" said Minori as Hisako couldn't argue with that logic.

Once they felt refreshed, they hopped back in their car and continued driving towards San Francisco, knowing that their own hero was there.

San Francisco

Standing on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge was Art as he barely fended off the undead that had blocked his way from entering the city.

But against all odds he somehow managed to find a way as he looked on across the bridge where huge number of undead were marching their way into the city.

With a look of despair and a heavy heart on his chest, he walked his way over towards a switch as he had the national monument rigged to blow.

"God forgive me" said Art before pushing the switch down and watch his only path back home was now blown away along with anymore undead reaching him.

Taking a minute to reflect over what he's done, he slowly turned to face the city he needed to be in, to look for a house he's never been, much less heard of.

You made it this far, now it's time to see this thing finish, thought Art before hopping back in his car and pressing forward towards his search for the Black House.

Here you guys go, another chapter done and uploaded, hopefully you guys are liking the story again after it's long break as I continue on leading it towards it's conclusion.

Other than that, I'm actually both anxious and excited with anticipation with the upcoming RWBY reboot/remake that's currently in the works, which is set to officially be animated and produce in Japan, making this long recognize Anime series, into an official anime, so suck it to all those who were in denial and stubborn for never accepting it from the get go, while your Humble Narrator rejoices that his Waifu Laifu with a .50 Cal Scythu transcends into something even greater, which also give hope for me and my dreams towards my own work, which if you guys haven't, you should give it a look as I would appreciate to hear your thoughts.

Until next time, be safe, be good people, and please support your fandom communities.

This has been your Humble Narrator and official author Tobi Yaza. =3
