Once a NEET always a NEET 22

Disclaimers I don't own… yeah you guys know what I don't own and what I do own, let's continue on to the story.

After taking a week to recover physically, Kazuma along with Sekine and Irie were now ready to make their trip to San Francisco and catch up with their friends.

While Kazuma was filled in as to what they had to endure, and the people who saved him, he was not without his own reservations.

"So we're really doing this, driving head first into our potential death" asked Kazuma sarcastically, "Trust me, I want nothing more than to be on a boat that'll take us back home to Japan, but unfortunately the only person who can make that a reality is in San Francisco" said Sekine.

"Let's try to be positive and look at the bright side, we'll finally get to see everyone after over a month" said Irie as she hopped in the driver seat of their custom minivan with spiked armor plating, and bullet proof windows.

"Let's go people" said Sekine as she took the passenger seat and Kazuma hopped in the back as he began to admire the new gear he was given to survive.

"Can't believe your friend was able to build an actual laser sword" said Kazuma as he felt pretty badass holding the weapon in hand.

"Just be careful with that thing, last thing we need is for your to loose a hand or worse put a hole in the car where it makes it not drivable" said Sekine as Kazuma rolled his eyes as he set the weapon aside and admired the double barrel handgun he was also given.

"Got to say, this guy knows how to make weapons" said Kazuma, "Oh yeah, he actually once said if he had the right materials, he said he could make a laser gun of some kind" said Sekine.

As they all continued to have small talk along the way to the City, the group notice the appearance of the undead, but they were not interested in attacking them for some reason.

"What's going on" asked Kazuma rather cautiously, "I'm not sure, but let's not look a gift horse in the mouth" said Irie, "I say we shouldn't leave things to chance" said Sekine as she began to pull out a small box of grenades.

"Let's not get to hasty, at least not until they start menacingly approaching us" said Irie as Sekine put her grenades down but kept her LMG ready.

As they continued to drive the undead remain benign for the time being as they kept their eyes peeled for any of their friends, be it physically or calling signs.

Once they had made it to Hillsdale, where they originally met Kazuma, they indeed saw a calling sign from their friends with them heading towards San Francisco.

"SFO here we go" said Irie as they continued to drive along the way all the way up towards crossing the Golden Gate Bridge only to see the thing completely blow to bits.

"What the hell happened!" exclaimed Kazuma as they hopped out to see the demolished bridge, "It could be anything or anyone's guess" said Irie, "My money is on the shadow guys did this as a means to slow us down" said Sekine.

"Well… now what" asked Kazuma out loud as the group pondered about it for a minute.

"Let's find a boat that's hopefully intact" said Irie as they began to walk their way down from the bridge to the misty docks below.

"Not that I'm scared, but doesn't large clouds of fog usually tend to house some kind of monster or killer" said Kazuma as they continued their trek.

"What are you getting at Kazuma" asked Irie, "I don't know, maybe I feel like we're being set up to enter the world of silent hill" said Kazuma as they were etching their way closer and closer into the fog.

"There coming to get you Barbra" said Sekine with a laugh, "Sekine" Irie as she chided her friend once more as they heard voices and construction of some kind.

"You guys hear that" asked Kazuma in a hushed tone, "Yeah, let's approach with caution" said Irie as the group nodded in agreement as they draw their weapons.

Trekking their way passed the fog, the group would eventually find the source of all the noise as it brought them all great relief.

"Iwasawa!" said Sekine as Iwasawa, Hisako, Minori, and Jibril were all in the middle of constructing themselves a boat to cross their way.

"Oh my god, you guys finally made it" said Iwasawa as the group gathered up and greeted each other, before realizing Kazuma was now with them.

"Everyone this is Kazuma, he's hear to join us in rescuing our Immortal American" said Irie, '"Sup Kazuma here" greeted Kazuma.

"Glad to see you awake Kazuma, more so we're glad you're all here cause honestly we could use an extra set of hands here in building this boat" said Minori.

"On it" said Sekine and Irie in unison, "Hey hold on, if we're already making a boat trying to get into the city, why not use it instead to you know go back to Japan and get our friends to help us out" asked Kazuma.

"The thought had crossed our minds, however the only vessels big enough to travel across from here to Japan are all docked in Oakland" said Jibril.

"More so, we can't just leave Art here alone to his faith, not already knowing that something is trying to prevent us from all returning back home to our worlds" said Iwasawa.

"Right, so either grab some nails or duct tape and get to work cause honestly I worry for our red haired buddy right now" said Hisako as the group continued to work their way trying to get into San Francisco.

San Francisco

Currently chilling in Pier 39 inside of an SF Boudin eating Clam Chowder from a bread bowl was Art as he was catching his breath from his none stop one man war.

Gathering outside were the undead as they were banging on the doors and windows that had been heavily barricaded before Art made his lunch.

It's disturbing how calm I am in spite of how these guys really want my head on a stick and me sitting here not giving a fuck, thought Art as he had finished the rest of his chowder.

Just as he was taking the first bite of his bread bowl, he heard the large ripping sounds of a chainsaw approaching the building as he swallowed down his food.

"Damn it, I didn't even get to make myself an SF style meatball sandwich" said Art as he stuffed his bread bowl in his new back pack, since he left his old one with all of his LP CD's with Iwasawa, along with his laptop with his iPhone connected to it.

Come on, hopefully you're at least 80% charged today, thought Art as his phone was at 60% as he rolled his eyes.

Knowing he was out of time, he put on his head phones and started listening to some music just as the undead had broken through the barrier.

"Sorry, but I gotta dip, like all of you" said Art as he controlled a large wave of water to appear under his feet as they ruptured a path for him to slip through the undead as he began to race his way towards the main road.

Unfortunately the undead army had been waiting for him as a large group of archers waited for him as they fired a volley of arrows towards him.

Erecting himself a wall of ice, Art stood his ground before hopping out and brought his sawn off double barrel out pointed at the large army.

Psyching them out, Art pointed his boom stick behind him and charged it with wind magic and sent himself flying over their head and crashing himself on top of the roof of his car and flipping over onto the ground.

Not the landing I had planned, thought Art as he picked himself up and hopped back in his car before putting the petal to the metal.

Once he had put some distance upon himself he had pulled out a detonator from the center compartment of his car and pressed the button and watch as the path behind was destroyed along with another great number of undead being out of his worries.

"Alright, time to meet my dark lord and master once and for all" said Art as he finally began to drive himself to the Black House.

The Pacific Ocean

The group was less than a day away from finally reaching the Californian coastline, and continue their search for Kazuma who has thankfully not left the state since his abduction.

And even though they had a serious purpose and mission to be coming here, they none the less took their last day out on sea to celebrate.

"So here's what I'm thinking, after we make sure Kazuma is safe and all, we take a trip across America and do some sight seeing" said Subaru as he was sitting at a table with all the leaders of each group.

"It would be nice to get off this stupid boat for a change, though the question is where though" said Tanya.

"I say we should still go visit all the big tech companies they have in California" said Touya, "I always wanted to see the scenic sides of America like Wyoming, Arizona, Illinois" said Naofumi.

"I don't care where, so long as it's indoors, with wi-fi we'll be fine" said Sora, "New York, I know, super far, but super worth it" said Subaru, "I'd like to travel and finally discover the secrets they have in Area 51" said Yuri, "I second that" said Tanya.

As the leaders continue to talk about sights, everyone else were partying as said.

"I'm queen of the world!" shouted Aqua as she stood over the edge of the ship with 2 bottles of bubbly in her hand as everyone behind her were shouting agreement.

"Hey Otonashi, rock paper scissors buddy" shouted Hinata as the 2 friends play their game, while Tanya's red shirts had started a conga line where everyone was invited.

"And I'm telling you, Governor Schwarzenegger is really a robot from the future sent to protect John Conner" said a drunken Elze, "And I'm telling you, he's a commando who killed the first predator" said Garius as he too was off his rocker.

"You're both wrong, he's just a regular guy, who was a body builder, turned actor, turned into the Governor of California" said Naoi, "No one asked you"" shouted the duo.

Back In California

By nightfall the group had finally completed adding the final touches to their boat as they began to sail safely across into San Francisco at long last.

But as they finally reached towards the edge of the city, they notice that a lot of it was destroyed and was burning to the ground as they all had nothing but concern in their eyes.

"We gotta find Art, even if it means we're walking towards our own doom" said Iwasawa as the group finally reached the docks before hopping off and ran head first to the city.

How's it going guys, we're getting close and closer towards ending this fic as I promised since the new year and I'm committed to it, so really hope the ones that are reading and are liking the story for what it is like it so far.

Now this is random, but I hate getting sick, I mean I can't think straight I can't eat, and I'm a mess for like 5 days plus an additional week of recovering, plus it doesn't help that all my emotions go out of control since the only thing I feel is numbness, so now I feel depression, anger, joy, and psychotic break downs at random.

Until next time, be safe, be good people, and please support your local fandom communities.
