It was a long day for everyone. Constant clashing of steel against bone, gunfire that never ceased, the roars of monsters that were just as quickly cut off by explosions. The city of Vale had never seen this kind of open warfare before, one that brought anyone who could fight or help into its folds. Be it the Huntsmen, police, or even the odd criminal gang that was ensuring their turf was protected, everyone was fighting for their city.

And slowly, as the hours passed and the sun moved across the sky, the fighting started to die down. Gunfire ceased, roars were no longer heard, and one by one areas of the city were declared clear by airship surveillance. As the sun started to set, the city was on the verge of being retaken.

While most were relieved at how their lives might be back to some semblance of normal soon, there was an undercurrent in the air. A nervousness that only grew thicker as more people thought about how this happened.

None felt that more than the Huntsmen, though not for the same reasons as the others.

Maribelle screamed as she swung her cane down on a Creep, slamming it into the ground and killing it with a satisfying crunch of bone. A growl to her right caused her to swing her cane out to strike a Beowolf under the chin. While it reeled back she spun her cane around and brushed her thumb against a switch that caused the cane to start collapsing down into a sawn-off shotgun that she aimed at the Beowolf's head. It barely managed to look back at her when she pulled the trigger and vaporized the top half of its head. Another growl came from behind and Maribelle aimed her shotgun over her shoulder and fired into the Beowolf behind her.

She spun around and flicked her wrist to open the shotgun and eject the spent shells, new ones being loaded from magazines underneath it as it closed, and aimed at the not quite dead Beowolf as it struggled on the floor and finished it off with another blast. She let out a breath when it vaporized and started to relax.

"Mari, to your right!" Redd called out suddenly and when Maribelle looked right at the Beowolf just as it leaped at her, she was too shocked to do anything other than jump backwards. The Beowolf missed its lunge and Maribelle fired at it, though the shot went wide and only barely hit its side. It roared and swiped at her, knocking her gun out of her hands before lunging at her. Maribelle put her guard up and yelled when the Grimm's jaws clamped down on her left forearm, her Aura blocking most of the damage from the bite and thrashing as the Beowolf tried to yank her arm off. Maribelle didn't have to hold it for long before she saw Redd jump up and plunge her spear into the Beowolf's back and through its chest.

The thrashing stopped and, even if the Grimm still had a hold on her arm, she took her chance to use her Semblance. She held her free arm out and spread her fingers wide before pushing her Aura through her arm and out her palm until it formed a blade. Without her Aura to protect her, the Grimm's fangs sank into Maribelle's arm causing her to scream and quickly plunge the Aura blade into its neck. The sudden attack surprised the Beowolf into releasing her arm, which gave her freedom she needed to rip the blade out the side of its neck. Redd pulled her spear free and flipped off the Beowolf as it started to collapse in its death. Not fast enough for Maribelle though, who screamed in anger as she swung her Aura blade several times at the Beowolf, cutting through its arms and torso in one swipe before swiping up and across its torso to cut it into pieces that disintegrated around her.

"Sorry about that," Redd said as she walked up to a panting Maribelle. She moved her spear to her side and put her hand on her partner's shoulder, careful to avoid the glowing Aura blade. "That managed to slip past me. Are you ok?"

"I will be," Maribelle replied after a moment, her arms still shaking from the adrenaline from the fight.

"Your arm's bleeding," Redd said and pointed down at Maribelle's arm where the blood was already staining her white sweater red. When Maribelle noticed she sighed and closed her right hand, dispelling the blade and sending her Aura back into her body where it started working on healing her wounds.

"Thanks. I'll try to stay out of your way while I heal," Maribelle said sadly and rubbed her arm a little. Redd squeezed her shoulder and gave her a small smile before letting her go when the rest of their team joined them. Maribelle looked between Gale and Gray, the latter carrying her shotgun with him, and asked, "Are we good here?"

"Yup, looks like the Beowolf you diced was the last one here," Gale said and put a hand on her hips while the other toyed with a loose feather in her hair, "I'm happy to call it in."

"Will you be ok?" Gray asked and handed Maribelle her shotgun.

"It's just a bite, I'll be fine in a minute," she replied and turned her shotgun back into a cane before turning away from her team. She missed the look Gale and Gray shared while she pressed down on her earpiece and said, "Team MRGD to Beacon, we finished with our sector. Waiting for clean up."

"Roger that. A ship should be with you momentarily." True to the dispatcher's word, a Bullhead appeared over the street and stopped long enough to deposit a dozen ATKs before zooming off again. Maribelle and her team watched the mechs activate and set off on patrol, the metal soldiers not paying them mind even as Gale gave them the harshest of glares.

"Atlas, always getting their noses into other's business," she said with a scoff.

"Glad I'm not the only one thinking that," Gray said as his hand unconsciously went to the whip at his side, "about how convenient it is for an Atlas fleet to show up not long before something like this happened."

"Mistral may be worse, but Atlas is still pretty shady," Gale replied as she started busying herself with reloading her claws. "I've heard plenty of bad rumors about Ironwood and his little council."

"What, that they're secretly researching ways to control Grimm to take over the world? Get real." Maribelle said with a roll of her eyes before she started walking away with her cane slung over her shoulders.

"Really? The rumor monger herself is just outright dismissing it?" Gray asked shaking his head, "Even you have to see how—"

"It's just cheap propaganda, even I can see that," Maribelle interrupted and turned back to her team. "Everyone has a reason to hate Atlas. There are a thousand of those, all going back to what Mantle did in the Great War. I don't believe in putting stock in something clearly made because of disdain for one man." The whine of airships overhead drew the team's attention and Maribelle bit her lip as they flew over a building. "You are right though. The timing is weird, coincidence or not." The four were quiet for an uncomfortable moment until Redd cleared her throat.

"Why… don't we keep ourselves busy for now?" Redd suggested, "All of this is a little bigger than us."

"True enough." Maribelle started walking again while giving a nearby ATK plenty of space. Her team followed behind just as nervously, though only Gale looked up to see Blake running across the rooftops.

As the battle started winding down, several Huntsmen teams found themselves on standby as the cleanup proceeded. This was a welcome relief for the ones who were first on the ground in the morning, who took the time to get some much needed rest. Others either weren't as lucky or chose to do whatever they could. Such as Blake Belladonna who was running along the rooftops to check on other teams to see if they needed help. Even that was starting to wind down though as she made the jump to a rooftop that teams STRQ, CFVY, and JNPR were resting on.

"Hello Blake," Velvet called out with a wave. Blake slowed to a jog as Velvet's team and JNPR turned to her. "How are things going out there?"

"Team MRGD just finished with their sector, so I was going to check on the western end," Blake replied as she slowed to a walk.

"Late to the party as always," Fox said with the smallest of smirks.

"Don't push yourself too hard," Coco said, "you should rest when you have the chance."

"I'll rest when the all clear is given," Blake said and took off in a run again.

"That girl is going to run herself ragged," Velvet said with a shake of her head as she watched Blake jump to the next roof.

"You gotta admire her work ethic though," Jaune said and stretched his arms over his head before falling back onto the roof. "It's more than I have now. I don't think I can move again after all that fighting."

"Yeah, leave it to these guys to give one wild wake up call huh?" Coco said and gestured at STRQ with a thumb. They didn't respond and Coco looked back at them with an eyebrow raised. "You guys are awfully quiet. You alright?"

"Oh yeah, just peachy," Qrow said, visibly annoyed as he twirled his flask in his hands.

"We're all alive at least," Taiyang said with a quiet chuckle that died down as he focused on petting Zwei. The corgi looked up at Taiyang in concern before scooting a little bit closer to him and resting his head on Taiyang's lap. Raven didn't even acknowledge the question as she was too busy slowly cleaning the blood off her mask with a cloth. She had a contemplative look as she stared at her mask.

And then there was Summer staring down at the plaza where this all started. She sat as far as she could from the others so she wouldn't bother them as she let out a stream of smoke and shook her head. "This was too easy," she said simply.

"Too… what?" Jaune asked as he pushed himself up. Then Coco sighed, which only added to Jaune's confusion.

"You couldn't even let us have an hour to think we're just awesome, could you?" Coco asked and rubbed the back of her head.

"What do you mean?"

"You know," Nora said scratching her cheek, "I was kind of thinking the same thing. Is that weird?"

"Not at all," Ren answered with a nod, "when the Grimm attack settlements they are ruthless. It's simply not in their nature to hold back."

"Were they holding back? It certainly didn't feel like it," Jaune said and rubbed his shoulder.

"I kind of feel like they were too," Pyrrha said rubbing her chin, "like they weren't as… ferocious as they should have been?"

"This should have been the end for Vale," Summer said and took another drag on her cigarette. She took a second to blow the smoke out and shake her head before continuing, "No settlement has ever survived this. Either a small village or a grand kingdom, if they're breached and too many Grimm get in then they die. That's how it's always been." Summer pushed herself to her feet and walked to the edge of the roof to gesture at the plaza. "But this time we got lucky? The breach was sealed in an hour and the city mostly cleared in only a day? While also minimizing the loss to both life and property?"

"Not to mention the 'mastermind' behind the whole thing is in custody," Qrow added and finally opened his flask. Torchwick was taken in by Ironwood leaving one less problem overall, but he still went a little too calmly for Qrow's liking. He took a swig from his flask and shook his head, "All in all, a perfect end to a disaster like this."

"A little too perfect when you look at it. We're being played." Summer turned back to the plaza and took another drag as ill thoughts swirled in her head.

"Why?" Jaune asked anxiously.

"And by who?" Coco asked after.

Summer's mind jumped to the Moon General, smug as hell at how easily she had manipulated them so the breach would go off without a hitch. It wouldn't surprise Summer if the breach ending so well for them was part of her plan somehow too. "I have some ideas," Summer finally said, blowing the smoke out, "and I don't like anything they can bring." Summer pulled out a portable ashtray and stuck the remains of her cigarette into it. "I have to talk to Professor Ozpin. Watch my team for me, will you Coco?"

"Sure thing," Coco replied with a wave as Summer jumped off the roof.

"What are we, a bunch of kids?" Taiyang asked angrily and sighed as he hung his head, "dammit, I just want to go home."

"Ditto," Qrow added.

"Dibs on the shower," Raven said as she held up her mask up. Taiyang and Qrow groaned in unison and Raven turned to glare at them. "Fuck you both, you're not the one with blood on you. Do you know how gross this feels?" Coco tuned out Raven's ranting and looked back to the others.

"I can't wait for things to get back to normal so we can just focus on the tournament," she said with a shake of her head. They all nodded except for Jaune who simply sighed.

"I would like it if things were normal for a bit."

Elsewhere in the city Cinder was watching the news on her scroll with Emerald and Mercury. The reporter was just finishing talking about Roman being taken into custody. Not that she really needed to see that part since her team had been the ones to hand him over.

"I don't know about you," Cinder said and put her scroll away, "But I would consider this a success."

"Still a mess though with everything that happened," Emerald said and rubbed the back of her neck.

"You got that right," Mercury added, "Torchwick was the only one who got out of the tunnels. What about the rest of them?" There was a soft thump behind Mercury and Emerald and, judging from Cinder's look of surprise, could guess who it was.

"I think you should worry more about yourselves and not them," Yang said as she marched over to Cinder, her red eyes boring into her the whole way. Emerald and Mercury quickly stepped out of her way, which saved her the trouble of shoving them out of the way, and crossed her arms as she stopped in front of Cinder. "What world do you live in where this was a success? What happened?"

"If it works, then it works," Cinder said crossing her arms, "As for how this happened, I didn't get to talk to Roman for too long before I handed him over, but he said triggering the breach early was General Weiss's idea. I would have liked to know she was around and consulted me before she did something like—" Cinder was cut off when Yang's hand shot out and grabbed her by the throat, choking her and leaving her involuntarily grabbing Yang's arm to try and force her off.

"You'll know what you need when you need to know. Your words Cinder, and just as true for you as anyone else," Yang said before pushing Cinder away, leaving her gasping as she shrugged and started pacing. "And like I knew Weiss was around. Ruby and I only check in with Queen every two weeks while Weiss and Blake are trying to stay hands off with their dolls here. Not exactly a lot of communication going on, in case you didn't realize."

"Fair enough," Cinder said and coughed a little to clear her throat, "So are you going to do anything else or…?"

"Nah, you're off the hook," Yang said with a dismissive wave, "I had a feeling Weiss or Blake was around because of how the Grimm were acting. I can't punish you for something my sisters did." Cinder rolled her eyes as Yang turned to Mercury and asked, "So what were you complaining about when I got here?"

"Well… a lot of Faunus didn't get out of those tunnels. The White Fang aren't going to be too happy about that and we kinda need that army."

"Do we really?" Yang asked, which got another eye roll from Cinder while Emerald rubbed her eyes. Mercury just stared blankly at her for a moment before turning to Cinder.

"They're not going to listen to us after this. What are we going to do?" Cinder was about to answer when she heard another thump behind her and turned to see the absolute last person she wanted to see right now.

"They won't listen to you, but they will listen to me," said Adam Taurus as he walked over to the group. His voice was full of confidence, though Cinder was more concerned with the fact he didn't bother with a disguise while in town. Emerald and Mercury decided to move out of the way of the conversation, especially when Yang huffed and looked at Adam unimpressed.

"Okay, who is this guy?" Yang asked and looked at Cinder. The exasperated woman needed a moment to tear her angry gaze off Adam and look at Yang.

"Right, first meetings." Cinder cleared her throat and gestured at Adam with a hand. "Well Yang, this is Adam Taurus, the leader of the Vale branch of the White Fang. He's also a wanted criminal"—Cinder clenched her fist—"who absolutely should not be here, especially in his most recognizable clothing!"

"Like anyone cares," Adam said with a shrug.

"Try telling that to all the soldiers and Huntsmen running around. Any one of them sees you and you'll have thirty airships surrounding you ready to turn you into goat meat," Yang said and started cleaning out an ear while ignoring the glare Adam sent her way. "Not gonna lie, I'm half tempted to call you in myself just to see it. What's the bounty for goat meat anyway?"

"I am not a goat."

"Oh, that's what gets under your skin and not me threatening to turn you in? You have mixed priorities." Yang flicked some ear wax off her finger and smiled at how Adam's grip tightened on his sword. Despite the poking, there was something about the man that tickled her brain. 'Where have I heard his name before?'

"What's with this girl?" Adam asked looking at Cinder, "she's starting to annoy me."

"She's one of my bosses, which means she can say whatever she wants," Cinder said and ran a finger over one of her scars, "but enough about that, why are you even here?"

"I got a message that the attack was triggered early before the coms went dark. I can't even get my lieutenant anymore. Can you blame me for being curious?"

"They're most definitely dead. Probably died suffering badly and crying too," Yang said with a chuckle, "Oh, now I really wish I could have seen that!"

"Which brings us back to the original point," Mercury said, crossing his arms and looking at Adam, "are you sure they'll listen to you?"

"It'll be easy. The ones lost in the tunnel will be martyrs to the cause." Adam spread his arms wide with a cold smile, "everyone will want to get back at the humans for that!"

'Wait, I vaguely remember Blake talking about him,' Yang thought and rubbed her forehead in thought. 'What was it about?'

"Of course they will," Cinder agreed with a nod, "So maybe you should get on that and get out of town before you're seen with us."

"Of course, of course. High Leader Sienna will want to hear about this too." Adam turned to leave, but took a moment to gesture at Yang with his sword. "And while it's been… nice to meet you, let's hope we never meet again, yes?"

"I couldn't agree more, especially now that I remember where I heard about you." Adam started walking away while Yang put a hand on her chest and added, "I might not have high standards, but they definitely don't include making nice with guys like you. Not after what you did to Belladonna." Adam stopped in his tracks and, feeling the change in the air, Mercury and Emerald moved behind Cinder as she groaned and rubbed her eyes.

"What?"

"My sister is still sore about what you did to her. Making her life a hell for the entirety that she knew you until she put a bullet in her head just to get away from you?" Yang mimed putting a gun to her head with her hand and gave Adam a mad smile. "I don't blame her in the slightest though. I've only known you for a minute and I want to do the same thing."

"Don't you dare talk about her to me!" Adam shouted and quickly turned on Yang, his hand going to his sword's hilt.

"Adam don't!" Cinder growled forcefully.

"No, I think I will. Even you have to know that your sword is the only reason you're still useful. If you were as incompetent at fighting as you are at everything else, you'd have been goat meat long ago." Yang moved her hands behind her back and tilted her head, her red eyes boring into Adam's mask. "I suppose a subpar tool is better than nothing, even one like you." Adam growled and grit his teeth, which was all Cinder needed to act. She looked back at Mercury and Emerald, jerked her head, and got nods from both of them. Adam barely started to move when three shots rang out and impacted in front of him, forcing him to jump back on reflex.

"You're really going to fight me here?" Adam asked and looked at Cinder's group. Emerald was aiming both her guns at him while Mercury had a leg up with the bottom of his boot smoking.

"No, I'm saving your life," Cinder replied and stepped between Adam and Yang. She looked between the two of them and shivered a little at Yang's serious look before focusing on Adam. "If you fight her, you will die. I can guarantee that." Cinder held up a hand and lit a flame in the palm of her hand and glared at Adam, "So for your sake, stand down before you inconvenience us all."

"Nah, don't listen to her," Yang said leaning around Cinder, "I'm sure you can make it a foot before I rip your arm off." Yang's eyes flashed black for a second, which gave Adam more pause than anything else. Nobody moved for a moment as Adam stared everyone down before he scoffed, stood straight, and turned away.

"This is pointless. We all have more important things to do than this," he said and started walking away. He stopped at the edge of the roof to turn back and add, "The White Fang will be ready and waiting for your signal. Don't keep us waiting for long." After that he jumped down to the street and out of sight, leaving the others able to relax.

"Coward," Yang scoffed and crossed her arms. "I have to say between him, your two flunkies here," Yang gestured at Mercury and Emerald, "and that one note crime addict, you really know how to pick them Cinder." Cinder growled and clenched her fist shut to put out the fire and turned to Yang.

"Do you always have to make things more difficult for me? What would you have done if he had actually attacked!?"

"Then I would have killed him. Duh," Yang said with a shrug, "And where's the fun in doing anything easy? I would have thought you, of all people, would know how to do that."

"Yes, but I would still like to not go out of your way to do that for at least a month. It would help us here, even you should see."

"If it's more fun," Yang said and stretched her arms over her head before looking up at one of Ironwood's giant airships hovering over Vale. "As for work though, we're in agreement. It's best to wait and see what old Oz and Ironwood will do. Knowing the general he'll probably try to push for full security detail with him in charge."

"Of course he would. Men like him would do nothing less," Cinder agreed and smirked at the airship, "and if he does, it will only be beneficial for us."

"You better hope he does then. I'm going to bug Ruby, see if we're done here." Yang gave the smallest of waves to Cinder as she jumped off the roof and fired her gauntlets behind to send herself flying down a street with a loud whoop.

"I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait to never work with her again," Mercury said. Emerald nodded and Cinder quietly sighed.

'I shouldn't admit it, but I definitely agree.'

When the battle above ground was over Weiss started making her way back through the tunnels back to Mountain Glenn. It was a long walk back and one that Weiss spent thinking over everything. When she finally got back to the train station she found it in chaos since any White Fang that hadn't gotten onto the train were ravaged by the Grimm. She was too lost in her own thoughts to notice though and it was only when a Seer drifted up to her as she passed a pair of Beowolves clawing at a Faunus that she was pulled out of it. She took a small breath as an image came into view on the Seer's body and saluted.

"Queen. How may I help you?"

"Vale was just breached. What happened?" Salem asked, her voice low and dangerous. Weiss flinched at that and dropped the salute.

"Ozpin found out about the Mountain Glenn operation. He only sent a scout team, but I couldn't take the chance that there weren't more coming. So I gave the order to trigger the breach before making sure Vale remained standing afterwards with Ruby and Yang's help."

"And the scouts?"

"They were on the train when it crashed, so they're either dead or managed to survive somehow." Weiss crossed her arms and looked back at the tunnel. "I would think they're alive, given how hard they fought."

"And this doesn't concern you?"

"Not at all. It was the same academy team that gave Blake a hard time, though it does concern me how often they're finding their way to us."

"Ozpin seems quite fond of them. Over relying on one asset may prove to be that team's undoing, especially with your sisters looking into them. Don't concern yourself with them."

"I will not." Weiss fought down the urge to smile and clasped her hands together and asked, "Is there anything else you need from me, Queen?"

"What of our other operation in Mountain Glenn?"

"As far as I know Ozpin is unaware of that. I intend to stay in Vale for the foreseeable future, so I can look into that if you wish me to."

"Do so. Arthur received a message not long ago that there was a development."

"Then I will make that my priority as soon as I clean up any stragglers here."

"Then don't delay." Weiss nodded and saluted until Salem's image disappeared and the Seer started drifting away.

"I'm not done with you yet," Weiss said and started walking with the Seer drifting back over to her side. "Call Ruby's scroll." The Seer clicked a little before a ringing started coming from it. After a few rings it stopped and was replaced with Ruby's voice.

"Hello, Ruby speaking!"

"Hello sister. Are you alone?" Ruby didn't immediately reply and Weiss looked at the Seer curiously. After a second Ruby spoke.

"Is that you Weiss? How are you calling me? I thought you lost your scroll?"

"I'm using a Seer. And I didn't lose my scroll, I left it behind for my mission!"

"…Seers can call scrolls? I didn't know that."

"You can thank Watt's inquisitiveness for that. That aside, how is your little vacation in Ozpin's school treating you?"

"Well enough. I'm getting to know a few students and your doll is nice enough. It's funny watching her and Blake's doll when they're together now. Smoochy smoochy." Weiss suddenly felt the urge to vomit while Ruby's laugh echoed through the Seer for a few seconds. "Aside from that, I just wish Yang would stop making a mess in the bathroom every morning."

"Welcome to my hell," Weiss smiled and rolled her eyes, "So can I assume the situation in Vale is under control?"

"Yes… so that was you helping calm the Grimm?"

"I felt it was my duty to assist since I started it. On that topic, I had a run in with your White Cloaked Huntress Summer Rose."

"Did you? Your thoughts?"

"She's a capable enough warrior, though I can see a need for improvement on her part. She could be quite the threat if she ever grows sufficiently."

"Yes, she could. I doubt she'll ever get there though."

"I'm not sure about that. Neither you nor Blake saw fit to mention that she had Silver Eyes."

"She doesn't."

"You expect me to believe that!?" Weiss stopped and faced the Seer with a stomp of her foot. She grit her teeth and ignored the few Grimm that looked her way as she continued, "I saw her eyes, her determination, the way she fought! If she ever learns how to use them, she could—"

"THEY'RE NOT SILVER!" Weiss stopped and blinked at the Seer. The finality and, Weiss dared to assume, desperation in Ruby's voice spoke more than any argument. She crossed her arms and thought for a moment.

"Do you know that, or is that what you're choosing to believe?"

"It doesn't matter what I believe. Summer Rose doesn't have Silver eyes, it's just not possible."

"And why would you assume that?"

"She's too young. She's barely over eighteen and you know as well as I do that we wiped Silver Eyes out twenty years ago."

"Well maybe we missed one."

"You know as well as I do we didn't."

Weiss flinched and looked away from the Seer, biting her lip as she did so. For a moment she thought she might have been mistaken, but that striking color stuck out too much in Weiss's mind. She felt a shiver run across her skin just from the memory. She was almost distracted enough that she nearly missed Ruby talking.

"Weiss, if you're thinking of turning back now—"

"I never said that," Weiss interrupted and looked back at the Seer. She dropped her hands to her side and clenched her fists, "I'm simply saying we should keep an open mind. Any one thing could change everything, as Salem always says."

"Even if that's true and you are right, it won't matter. She'll be dead soon and everything will be back on track. And I know you'll be by my side the whole way, right?"

"Naturally." Weiss stepped closer to the Seer, gently grabbed its crystalline body, and pressed her forehead onto it. "I'll always be with you"—she closed her eyes—"Just as I know you'll all be with me. So don't confuse small questions for doubt Sister."

"…I know. I just… I'm sorry."

"Don't be. I know we're all stressed in one way or another. Not much longer, right?"

"Right. Are you still close by? Yang and I could meet you if you want."

"I wish I could, but I have another assignment to see too." Weiss let a hand gently stroke the Seer as if it were Ruby, hoping her sister could feel the sentiment. "Another time."

"Alright, another time." Weiss felt one of the Seer's tentacles press against her cheek and she gently tilted her head against it. "Weiss… I love you."

"I love you too. May we see each other again soon." The Seer's tentacle rubbed her cheek a little before the call dropped. When Weiss opened her eyes she found the Seer had wrapped all of its tentacles around her in a mock hug. Weiss let herself smile at the small showing of Ruby's affection before she pulled away from the Seer and smoothed out her dress. "Keep that to yourself. Understood?"

The Seer clicked in understanding and started floating away. Weiss looked around the section of the underground city she had wandered to during her call and looked up at a massive hole to the surface over a building. She didn't feel like using the stairs anyway, and there was someone suffering on the roof of the building.

She might as well be nice and put the poor fool out of his misery.

And that's that. Honestly, this whole arc could have gone a little smoother, but not much anyone can do about outside influences. Next time this starts again, it won't be V3.
