Jake Long III (Season Five)

Chapter/Episode Three: Foolishness of the Fu

That evening, at the Animal Guardian Academy, the door to Fu Dog's room opened, Fu Dog lifting his head off of the bed and turning it to the side as Jake III and Lin-Lin entered the room, both in their human forms and both holding three white boxes of take-out food in their hands.

"Good." Fu smiled. "You got the food."

"Yeah." Lin-Lin said, casting a glance over to the corner, where Nayeli, Shae and Encarna were sitting. "Hey." Lin-Lin said, making them all turn their heads to the side so that they could look at her. "Can one of you get the door?" Lin-Lin asked. "We've got our hands full."

"Sure." Shae said before she picked herself up and hurried over to the door, passing Lin-Lin while Jake sighed and walked over to Fu Dog. As Shae quickly closed the door and hurried back over to Lin-Lin, Jake reached the bed as Fu Dog stood up on all fours and took a step back, allowing Jake to set down his three packages of food down onto the bed in a straight horizontal line while Fu watched.

"Hey, kid." Fu said. "How do you know that mine is here?"

"I don't." Jake looked up at the dog. "At least, I can't be sure. I think it's here, though."

"How can you not know, kid?" Fu asked.

"I didn't look." Jake said. "Here, you can look for yourself." He said before he reached down to the first box and opened it, turning it around so that Fu Dog could look at the food inside while he moved onto the second box.

Fu walked over to the first box and looked down at it before he quickly looked back up, turning his head to the side. "Nope." He said. "Not mine."

"How about this one?" Jake asked, sounding annoyed as he turned the opened second box around.

As Jake stepped over to the third box of food, Fu moved over to the second box. "No, this ain't it, either." Fu said as he looked down at the food.

"If it's not this one, then I don't care." Jake growled as he turned the third box of food around, Fu Dog moving over to it and looking down at it. "Well?" Jake raised an eyebrow, just seconds before Fu looked up at him.

"Come on, kid!" Fu said. "This ain't it, either."

"Then Lin-Lin has it." Jake said, just as Nayeli and Encarna walked up to the bed. Both girls looked down at the first two boxes. Turning his head to the side, Jake watched as both Nayeli and Encarna looked up and Nayeli turned her head to the side.

"Fu Dog didn't touch any of this with his mouth, did he?" Nayeli asked.

"Hey!" Fu defended himself.

"Not that I could tell." Jake answered.

"Okay, because she doesn't have ours." Nayeli said while Encarna picked up the first box of food, turned and walked over to Shae, who was sitting on the floor as she ate her food.

"Okay, well which one is it?" Jake asked as he turned his head back to normal, both looking down at the two remaining boxes of food.

"That one." Nayeli pointed over to the one that was in front of Jake.

Picking it up, Jake turned and handed it to Nayeli, who turned and walked away. "Okay, so this one belongs to..." Jake said as he turned back to face the bed.

"Me." Lin-Lin said, walking up beside him, still holding two of the food packages, one in each hand. As soon as she stopped beside him, Lin-Lin handed one of the boxes over to Jake. "Here, this one's yours." She said as Jake took the box.

"So that means..." Fu said.

"That this one is yours." Lin-Lin said as Jake opened his box. "Take it and enjoy it." She tossed it onto the bed, the box landing beside Fu. As Jake turned and walked away from the bed, Lin-Lin reached down and picked up her food. Then, she turned and followed Jake away from the bed.

BACK TO THE STORY/SHOW

A few moments later, Fu Dog put his mouth back into his cardboard package one last time and licked up the last bit of his dinner within five seconds. Taking his head out of the box, he chewed happily for a few more seconds before he finally swallowed. Then, he burped, making Nayeli, Encarna and Shae all look up from their food.

"Ew." Encarna voiced her disgust.

"That's gross!" Shae agreed.

Fu used the side of his head to move the white cardboard box to the side before he responded: "Well, sorry! I am a dog after all, so don't blame me if I can't control myself sometimes."

"You should at least have some manners." Shae said.

"Changing the subject..." Fu said. "...I was thinking about us all going out and doing something fun."

"Fun?" Encarna asked. "Like what?"

"Well..." Fu got to his feet, hopping off of the bed, and walking over to the three girls. "...I know a fun place. Trust me, you'll all love it." He said as he stopped in front of them.

"Uh, Fu, are you sure that leaving here is such a good idea?" Jake asked.

"As long as you two are here with me." Fu said as he turned his head to the side to look at Lin-Lin and Jake, quickly turning his attention back to the three girls. "So, what do you think? Do you think you'll be up to it?"

"We don't even know what place you have in mind." Shae said.

"I'm just about to get to that." Fu said.

"Well?" Shae asked.

"It's a fun place where you can play lots of games and drink a lot." Fu said.

"Okay, what's the place called, though?" Encarna asked.

"It's a casino in this city." Fu smiled.

"A casino?!" Lin-Lin reacted with shock. "Are you crazy?!"

"No." Fu said, turning his head to the side.

"You can't take three nine year olds to a casino." Lin-Lin said. "There's no way that you'd be able to get them in."

"She's right, Fu Dog." Jake said. "There's no way that they would be able to stay in a casino. Even if you managed to get them in, if you get caught by any management, you'd get kicked out."

"Oh, come on, kid." Fu turned to face Jake and Lin-Lin. "Don't be a party-pooper."

"Hey, I'm not." Jake replied. "Honestly, going to a casino sounds more fun than staying here and doing nothing all night. Worst assignment ever."

"I can get them in." Fu assured him.

"How?" Jake asked.

"Just leave that to me." Fu smirked.

"The Dragon Council won't like this." Jake told him.

"They'll never find out, kid." Fu replied before he turned back to face Encarna, Nayeli and Shae. "So, what do you three say? It'll be fun. We'll really get to know each other, and we'll play games together. What do you say?"

LINE BREAK

A short time later, Fu Dog, Nayeli, Shae, Encarna, Jake III and Lin-Lin arrived at the magical casino. "I can't believe this..." Lin-Lin muttered.

Within seconds, the group stopped in front of the front doors, where a female ogre was permitting access. Fu swallowed hard, but tried to keep his cool, smiling as the ogre looked down on them.

"Hello." Fu tried to charm her as he looked up at her, only to see her glare. Fu swallowed hard again.

"Are you trying to get children inside?" The ogre growled.

"No, not at all." Fu Dog lied, smiling again. However, when he saw the glare of the ogre, his smile vanished. "Okay, I am." Fu admitted, giving her the puppy-dog look. "But I just want to have some fun with my new friends! Can you really blame a dog for that?"

"Yes, I can." The ogre growled. "I'm not letting you in tonight, and after tonight, I better not see any of your faces again."

"Wow..." Jake said sarcastically as he crossed his arms. "...You really showed me that you could get them inside. Uh-huh."

"Well..." Fu continued to give the ogre the pathetic-puppy-dog look. "...I guess I have no choice..." However, a second later, he gave the ogre a seductive smile, making the ogre blink with confusion.

"Say..." Fu started to sweet-talk her. "...I'm willing to bet that you've had a lot of boyfriends in your lifetime."

The ogre frowned, and it took Fu Dog a few seconds to detect the look of sadness in the ogre's eyes after he said this. "No." She replied. "No."

"No?" Fu cocked his head to the side. "You haven't?"

"No." The ogre said for the third time, her voice cracking.

"Well..." Fu smiled. "...Then you must have a wonderful husband."

"What is he doing?" Encarna whispered to the other two girls.

"No." The ogre's voice even cracked, and as she said this, tears started to form in her eyes. "No, I'm all alone."

"I can't imagine why." Fu said, trying to sound as sincere as he possibly could.

"Look at me!" The ogre cried in despair.

As the ogre buried her face in her hands, Fu Dog looked down. Knowing that he had played her like a violin, Fu smirked to himself before he walked over to the ogre's leg, walking around it and walking in-between her legs, "lovingly" rubbing the side of his head against her leg.

Noticing this, the ogre pulled her hands away from her face, shocked as she watched Fu rub the side of his head against her leg again. Then, Fu walked back over to the others and then turned back around to face the shocked ogre.

"Like I said..." Fu smiled. "...I can't imagine why you don't have a ton of boyfriends or at least a husband."

"Oh?" The ogre asked.

Fu's smile widened. "Perhaps we could go out sometime..."

"Oh?" A look of hope appeared on the ogre's face. "You...You...You really mean it?"

"From the bottom of my heart..." Fu lied. "...I mean it..."

The ogre was now so relieved and so excited to the point that she was forgetting all about her job, just like Fu had wanted. Quickly, the ogre stepped to the side, holding her hands to the side, ushering Fu Dog and the others in.

"By all means, go on in and have some fun." She allowed.

"Thank you, darling." Fu said before he started to walk into the casino, Nayeli, Encarna, Shae, Lin-Lin and Jake all starting to follow him, all passing by the ogre and entering the casino.

Moments later, the group stopped in front of a vacant slot machine. Quickly, Fu Dog turned around to face his companions, a big grin on his face. He chuckled as he stared at their faces, the three girls and his two bodyguards all having unreadable expressions on their faces.

"I told you that I could get them inside, kid." Fu bragged.

"Yes, you really showed me, Fu Dog." Jake said sarcastically. "Enjoy your laughter while you can, because I don't think that you'll be laughing for very long."

"Why not?" Fu asked.

"Because now you have to go on a date with an ogre." Shae replied.

"Let me let you in on a little secret..." Fu Dog whispered. "...I'm not going on the date with that ogre. It was just a lie."

"Hmm, meet your potential Animal Guardian..." Lin-Lin said with a sarcastic smile, and while Fu scowled at her, Lin-Lin took a step backwards. "...If you don't mind, I'm going to go get a drink at the bar while you gamble. Take your time." Then, she turned and walked away from the rest of the group.

After watching Lin-Lin leave, Fu Dog smiled as he turned his head back to normal so he could stare at Jake, Shae, Nayeli and Encarna. "So, do any of you want help me have some fun?"

"Fu, do you even have any money to waste?" Jake asked.

"I usually don't play with money, kid." Fu replied.

LINE BREAK

Meanwhile, Lin-Lin arrived at the bar, where three dogs were the only ones sitting. One was a male Karelian Bear Dog, one was a female Kooikerhondje and one was a female Chesapeake Bay Retriever.

Reaching the bar, Lin-Lin sat down a few seats away from the three dogs. "Fu Dog..." She sighed as she finished sitting down.

This got the attention of the three dogs, of which the Chesapeake Bay Retriever turned her head to the side to look at Lin-Lin as the dragon-formed bartender walked over to her. "What will it be?" The dragon asked her.

"I don't care." Lin-Lin said with a smile. "I just want to get drunk."

"You got it." The dragon told her before he turned and walked away.

The Chesapeake Bay Retriever watched for a few more seconds before she finally smiled. "Excuse me?" She said, making Lin-Lin turn her head to the side.

"Yeah?" Lin-Lin asked.

"Forgive me if I misheard you..." The Chesapeake Bay Retriever said politely. "...But I could have sworn that I heard you say the name 'Fu Dog'."

"I did." Lin-Lin sounded annoyed. "Why, are you friends of his?"

"Oh, yes." The Chesapeake Bay Retriever replied. "Very good friends. Just ask him. He'll tell you of his very best friend Caribou."

"Hmm." Lin-Lin replied.

"Are you here with him?" The Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Caribou, asked.

"Unfortunately." Lin-Lin said with a smirk as the dragon-formed bartender brought her a drink, setting it down in front of her.

"Where is he?" Caribou asked.

"Can't tell you." Lin-Lin said.

"Why not?" Caribou frowned.

"Because I'm too busy getting sloshed." Lin-Lin said, still smiling before she turned her head back to normal to focus on her alcohol.

Although disappointed, Caribou forced herself to smile. "That's alright." She claimed. "We need to get going anyway." Then, Caribou turned and hopped off of the chair, the other two dogs following her. Without another word, they left Lin-Lin alone to get drunk.

LINE BREAK

A short time later, Caribou and the other two dog arrived back at the lair of the Magical Mafia. Walking down one of the halls, they arrived at the open door to their boss' office, turning and entering the dark room.

"Boss, we're glad that you called us." Caribou said as she and her two companions faced her boss, who was impossible to make out in the dark room. "We were at the-"

"Silence, Caribou." Her boss said.

"But we-" Caribou tried again.

"Not now." Her boss cut her off. "I have a job for you three. I got a message from our two informants. We have located Fu Dog."

Upon hearing this, Caribou smiled. "Boss, that's exactly what I was trying to tell you." She said.

"That's nice, Caribou." Her boss sounded completely uninterested. "I'm certain, though, that you have no clue where he is now."

"No, we don't." The male Karelian Bear Dog said. "Where is he?"

"He's at the Animal Guardian Academy." Their boss told them. "It should be clear to you three, but in case it is not, your job is to find him and to eliminate him."

BLACKOUT; COMMERCIAL

BACK TO THE STORY/SHOW

A short time later, Caribou and her two companions exited their boss' office, and as they started to walk back down the hall, they saw that Cadence and Jackal were walking towards them. Within seconds, the two groups crossed paths, both stopping in front of the other.

"Oh, hi." The female Kooikerhondje smiled mockingly. "Where are you two going?"

"Get out of our way, you three." Jackal growled.

"You didn't answer my question." The Kooikerhondje continued to mock them. "Where are you two going?"

"None of your business." Jackal growled.

"Going to see the boss?" The Kooikerhondje continued to mock.

"Just get out of the way." Jackal was sounding more and more impatient by the second.

"Okay, but first I want you to guess where we're going." The Kooikerhondje continued to smile.

"Hopefully far away from here." Jackal said. "Forever." He added, sounding hopeful.

"Not quite." The Kooikerhondje's smile widened. "We're going to see an old friend of yours. You remember Fu Dog, right? How could you forget?"

"What?!" Cadence reacted quickly, her eyes widening. "You three?!"

"Well, after you two failed, someone has to do it." The Karelian Bear Dog replied.

"I...I can't believe this!" Was all Cadence could say.

"Well, believe it." The Karelian Bear Dog retorted. "You two had your chance. You failed. Now, why don't we switch places even more? Instead of us moving out of the way for you, why don't you move out of the way for us?"

LINE BREAK

Meanwhile, later that night, Fu Dog, Nayeli, Encarna, Shae, Jake III and Lin-Lin all arrived back at the Animal Guardian Academy. While Fu looked like he had had a lot of fun, Nayeli, Shae and Encarna all looked like they had wasted their night, and Jake had an unreadable look on his face as he guided the intoxicated Lin-Lin towards the school. Lin-Lin had a smile on her face and had her head rested on Jake's shoulder as well as her arm around Jake's.

"Hey, Fu?" Jake suddenly spoke up.

"Yeah, kid?" Fu replied, turning his head to the side.

"I know you called dibbs on the bed and all..." Jake said. "...But do you think Lin-Lin could sleep in it tonight? She's pretty tipsy."

"Hmm, fine." Fu said, even though he didn't sound happy about it, before he turned his head back to normal.

By this time, they all reached the front steps to the school. Turning and starting to walk up them, Fu's eyes widened and he froze when he saw that Pixel and Lime, the two dogs from the office, were at the top of the steps.

"Fu Dog?" Pixel, the male Picardy Spaniel asked before he and Lime started to walk down the steps. "What are you doing out here at this time of night?" He finished as he and Lime stopped in front of Fu and the others.

"I didn't hear it in the school rules." Fu said.

"What?" Pixel asked.

"The rules." Fu repeated. "Do they say that I can't leave school grounds? Didn't hear that from the principal."

"Well-" Pixel tried, but Lime, the female Wirehaired Vizsla, cut him off.

"He's right, Pixel." She said softly. "He doesn't have to stay inside the school."

Pixel sighed. "Can you at least tell us where you went?"

"Nope." Fu smiled. "Like you said, it's late. We should get back to our room."

LINE BREAK

Back at the Magical Mafia's lair, Cadence and Jackal were in their own room. While Jackal was lying on the floor, Cadence was pacing back and forth near the closed door.

"This can't be happening." Cadence said before she turned and started to pace in the other direction.

"Well, it is happening." Jackal muttered. "The boss has spoken. Caribou, Chopsticks and Jughead have the job now."

"But now how are we going to be able to get back into the boss' good favor?!" Cadence challenged before she once again turned and started to walk back to where she came from.

"Don't worry." Jackal muttered. "We'll get a chance to earn his trust again."

"I will not let those three be the ones to eliminate Fu Dog!" Cadence declared, stopping her round of pacing and quickly turning to face Jackal. There was a glint of madness in her eyes. "That dog humiliated us! We should be the ones to kill him! Us! It should be US!"

Sighing, Jackal slowly got to his feet. "Well, what are you going to do about it?" He asked before he turned around to face her. "If you just go to the boss and pester him, you'll only make him mad."

"That's it!" Cadence grinned. "I can go to the boss!"

"Are you serious?" Jackal asked. "If you're not careful, you're going to get yourself killed."

"Please, he'll never even know I was there." Cadence smiled at Jackal as she took a step back.

"How?"

"Let's just say that we'll get a chance to get our revenge on Fu Dog a little later down the road." Was all Cadence said before she turned and started toward the door.

Rolling his eye, Jackal watched as Cadence reached the door, using her mouth to open it. After Cadence walked out of the room, Jackal rolled his eye again. "I'll never be seeing her again..." He muttered.

LINE BREAK

Walking down the hall that led to the boss' office, Cadence took a deep breath as she saw that the door to his office was open a crack. Exhaling deeply, she started to walk faster.

Seconds later, Cadence stopped at the door, and almost immediately, she could hear the sound of the boss' voice:

"Yes, that's correct. Caribou, Chopsticks and Jughead will be the ones to take care of Fu Dog. They'll be arriving at the Animal Guardian Academy tomorrow morning. Make sure that you are there to greet them. I know that you will not let me down and that I will have nothing to worry about."

"Bingo." Cadence whispered to herself, smiling.

LINE BREAK

Back in the Jackal's room, Jackal was lying back on his spot on the floor, his eyes closed. However, when he heard the door creak as it opened, his eyes snapped open.

"Oh, Jackal..." Came the sing-song sound of Cadence's voice as Jackal lifted his head up. "...Guess what?"

"What?" He replied, just before Cadence reached his side, smiling proudly as she lied down next to him, Jackal turning his head to the side.

"I know where Fu Dog is." Cadence announced.

"So?"

"So..." Cadence continued to smile as she turned her head to the side so she could look her partner in the eye. "...Do you remember how I said that we will have a chance to get our revenge on Fu Dog?"

"A little down the road." Jackal repeated. "Yes, I do remember. I also remember that you are completely wrong." He narrowed his eye.

"How am I wrong?" Cadence asked.

"Well, unless Caribou, Chopsticks and Jughead all fail, I don't see how you can get revenge on a dead dog."

"Exactly!" Cadence declared. "They're going to fail!"

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because we're going to make sure that they fail." Cadence explained. "I heard the boss say where Fu Dog is. We can go there and we can warn him. Those three fail, and perhaps the boss will give us another chance. We'll be able to kill him. We've got to do this, Jackal!"

"And where is Fu Dog?" Jackal asked.

"The Animal Guardian Academy." Cadence replied. "Come on, Jackal! Work with me! Are you really content in simply waiting for an opportunity to get back into the good graces of the boss? I'm not! We have to make it happen! We can't just wait!"

"Making Caribou, Chopsticks and Jughead fail won't automatically do that, Cadence." Jackal said. "It's the exact opposite. If we get caught, we will be killed."

"We're not going to get caught." Cadence assured him. "Those three won't have a clue that it's us. Who else is going to tell the boss? Fu Dog?"

"But it still won't give us a direct opportunity to redeem ourselves." Jackal said.

"It will pave the way for that opportunity." Cadence said. "Trust me."

LINE BREAK

Back at the Animal Guardian Academy, there was a knock at the door to Fu Dog's room. A few seconds later, it was opened, revealing a tired-looking Jake III. Yawning, Jake could see that it was the smiling principal who had knocked.

"Yeah?" Jake asked.

"I'm sorry." The principal apologized. "Are you all asleep?"

"Everyone except for me." Jake replied. "And I was asleep."

"Well, I'm sorry for coming at such a late hour." The principal apologized. "I was just wondering if I could talk to Fu Dog."

"Let me ask him." Jake said before he slowly turned around to see Fu curled up on the bed that Lin-Lin was sleeping in. "Ehhhh..." Jake moaned as he turned back to face the principal.

"Bad time?" The principal asked.

"Uh, yeah." Jake put his hands on his hips. "He's fast asleep. I probably shouldn't wake him up."

"Well, then could you please pass on a message?"

"Sure." Jake said. "I'll tell him in the morning."

"Don't forget." The principal held up a finger. "This is very important, as it concerns tomorrow afternoon. You cannot forget to tell Fu Dog this."

"Okay." Jake said. "What's the message?"

"I have managed to weasel Fu Dog into the testing schedule." The principal said. "He'll be taking his test with Miss Rodrigo, Miss Arquette and Ms. Garland tomorrow afternoon."

Jake yawned again.

"Do you have that down in your memory, son?" The principal asked.

"Absolutely." Jake said. "Now, what time will the test be, exactly?"

LINE BREAK

Sometime later that night, Socorro flew to the Island of Draco. Seconds later, she landed on the edge of the island. Seeing how deserted the island was at this late hour in the night, Socorro sighed.

LINE BREAK

Meanwhile, in her room, Haley was lying on her back in her bed, fast asleep. Just as she took a deep, peaceful breath and exhaled, she was woken up with a jolt when a fist pounded on her door from the outside.

Moaning, Haley rolled over onto her side as the knocking continued.

"Who is it?" She croaked, but when she got no response and the door just continued to get knocks thrown against it, Haley rolled her eyes. "Who is it?!" She repeated, raising her voice.

At that moment, the knocking stopped. "Mrs. Harris?" Came the sound of Demetria's voice. "Mrs. Harris are you awake?"

"Demetria?" Haley asked before she narrowed her eyes and growled: "Go to bed!"

"I was in bed, but something happened." Demetria replied.

"Something bad?" Haley asked, lifting her head up.

"No, something good." Demetria replied.

Seconds later, the door to Haley's room opened, making Demetria step back. As Haley stepped outside, she could see that, along with her pajamas, Demetria wore an excited smile on her face. "Okay..." Haley said. "...Tell me what's going on."

"We need to go outside." Demetria urged. "Phoebe and Dynean are already outside waiting for us."

"Can you please just tell me what's happening, Demetria?" Haley sounded exasperated.

"Socorro just surrendered."

"What?" Haley's eyes widened. "She did?" When Demetria nodded, Haley swallowed hard. "Cleo and Kay?" She asked.

Upon hearing this, Demetria's smile slowly started to fade. "No." She said. "Just Socorro. But..." She smiled again. "...At least this is a huge step forward."

LINE BREAK

Haley, Demetria, Dynean and Phoebe all were walking along the grass a few moments later. "Did you see Socorro surrender?" Haley asked Demetria.

"No, but Phoebe did." Demetria replied.

"What happened, Phoebe?" Haley asked, turning her head to the side. "Did she say anything? If so, what?"

"She said that she was giving herself up." Phoebe replied. "She didn't say why, only that she was giving herself up."

"Did she say anything about Cleo and Kay?"

"Nothing." Phoebe answered.

At this point, the four women stopped at the edge of the island, where they could all see a true rarity: Socorro, in her human form, in-between Agata and Yara, who were both in their dragon forms. Yara was shackling Socorro's hands in front of her, while Agata stripped her of her case that helped her carry the box of dark magic.

Taking a deep breath, Haley left Demetria, Phoebe and Dynean, hurrying over to her daughter, who, as soon as she was secured, was taken by her arms and turned to face Haley as she reached her captive daughter.

"Socorro..." Was all she could say.

"Mother." Socorro replied.

"You're actually giving yourself up?" There was a hopeful smile on Haley's face.

However, to Haley's horror, only a second later, a wicked smirk appeared on Socorro's face. "Not quite." She said. A second later, her tail appeared in a bright light. Quickly, Socorro brought it up to Agata's neck from behind, wrapping her tail around it. Before Agata could react, Socorro grunted as she used her tail to throw Agata back onto the grass.

Quickly turning to grab her case with the black magic box, Socorro slammed her tail into Yara's side, making Yara grunt as she was thrown onto the grass as well.

Haley was so shocked that she could do nothing but stand in place, her eyes wide, allowing her oldest daughter to turn back to face her, a wicked grin on her face. "I've got you." Socorro said before she slammed her tail into her mother's face, making her cry out as she was knocked onto her back.

"MRS. HARRIS!" Demetria cried. Quickly, she, Phoebe and Dynean reacted quickly, all starting to run towards Socorro, all transforming into their dragon forms as they did so.

Quickly, Socorro transformed back into her dragon form. Watching as her old friends got closer and closer, Socorro simply smiled as she finished wrapping her tail around her unconscious mother's upper body. As soon as her mother was secure, Socorro turned and quickly flapped her wings, taking off into the air and taking Haley with her.

All three panting, Phoebe, Demetria and Dynean were all forced to stop as they reached Agata and Yara, who both moaned as they continued to lie on the ground.

While Phoebe looked down at Yara and Dynean looked down at Agata, Demetria continued to watch with wide eyes as Socorro continued to fly away. Socorro had effectively managed to lure her mother into a trap and capture her.
