Hey, it's me. Djpj. I know this isn't a usual chapter but I wanted to clarify why the next chapter of Shock and Aaa is taking so long. And the simple answer is that while trying to write the next chapter. I slowly began to realize that I've written myself into a corner. I quite literally have no idea where to take the story from here on out, I don't know how to continue the story and have it make sense. Simply put, it's becoming a mess and I am not at all happy with this fics current state.
But don't worry. I'm not going to abandon this fic. I'm going to re-write this fic and take it in a different direction, one where I can actually make it coherent and hopefully more enjoyable; for both me and you guys. This rewrite will have more Adventure Time elements and the story will be far more streamlined.
However. The rewrite is going to take a while. So I ask that you be patient, I know that some of you wanted a new chapter but I just don't have one yet. But to make it up to you. I will show you a preview of what I have so far.
Somewhere... in Arizona
Six looked at the strange town from a distance. Looking at the decrepit buildings through the scope of his anti-material rifle. It looked a lot like the average ruined city you'd see out in the wastes. But what was strange about it was the fact that it looked far far older than it should have. The buildings were on the verge of turning into dust as if they had aged thousands of years.
And what's worse is that the city wasn't supposed to be there. He looked through the map a dozen times on his pip-boy and there was nothing. No marker. Nothing.
He didn't like the look of this. Ever since he crossed the Colorado river the air felt drier than usual. Every second in this place caused his nerves to go haywire and he could always see something in the corner of his eye but never catch it. He didn't like this one bit.
Ever since the legion and those refugees came crashing into the Mojave nothing made sense. Most of them looks shell-shocked and the legionaries were all young and terrified. The only decanus was half dead when they arrived. But no matter who he talked to, they all spoke of 'The dead rising' and 'Angry spirits'.
"Doesn't make any damn sense." He whispered to himself as he stored his rifle into his coat. He pulled out the Survivalist Rifle and began to make his way to the necrotic city. Walking at an even pace.
That's all for now. I will let you guys know when the re-write is up. But as I said, it will take a while. Maybe a few months or more to get it all ready. Until then, you guys stay safe and I'll see you sexy mother lovers next time around. Sayonara.
