HideKane relationship comes to natural for me to care what goes on. Still have to cringe a bit envisioning a forced weight gain without the force feeding trope. KaneTouka, same vibe in a sense. At least I can screw around with the quinx for a while.
...Every time I picture Hide now, I picture him with a real person's take on Kaneki's life given his personality and habits. We need more backstory in the anime for Hide vision cuz now I see Hide as a real world pov for Kaneki's sake. Voice Actor presenting himself as Hide is making more and more sense with the way Hide's presence came about. Hide goes with the flow when he reappears in the anime giving me the notion that Hide is physically there yet his presence doesnt seem to be noticed unless he's seen if he's hardly around everyone.
I'm not fluent in Manga verse but judging by the anime that's the vibes I'm getting the more I came to terms with Tokyo ghoul earth. Hide is either every Tokyo Ghoul Fan or the Japanese VA himself. Don't know which is the truer way of looking at Hide's character but can't deny it if KaneTouka ended up being the anime/Manga route. Hide is the real world checking in on Kaneki until he gets what he deserves from the chaos that swept him away.
I just claimed Hideyoshi as a VA OC without him actually being an OC .. An OC that's living in the anime world as part of Tokyo ghoul screws with me but in a good way Hideyoshi is 100% anime character that has the OC essence to him. Either that or Ken has Hide as an imaginary friend that he conjured up as a kid that grows up with him. I'll vouch for OC life over imaginary friend any day if Touka took notice of Hide during Ken's 'leave'.
These thoughts were in my head for Hide vision moment for moment. All in all, Differentiating Anime world to Cycle 2 put me into a mindset where Hide was never truly part of Tokyo Ghoul. He was just everyone irl worrying to no end for Kenny's happiness and became excited when Kenny was in view or smile happily when he was with his new friends and estranged french ghoul who he needs a restraining order against despite feeling left out of the group. Never knowing if his whereabouts were the best choices with how he adapted to the situations. Dunno if Haise/black reaper vision counts though.
"Talking as if your Rize is around still in apparition form or in your head reminds me of myself. Well, more my Ken since he's the book fanatic. Instead of picturing the characters of boring books without pictures to help, I showed him manga and seeing every character while reading the quotes and narratives if any, it gave him a better way to tell true friend from fake and enemies. If they were turned into shows, he'd have an easier time envisioning something that's not on paper. If he needs someone to talk to that's not me." says Hide.
"How far back have you been picturing characters as real people?" wonders Ken.
"I got into Manga during high school so we would have something to express ourselves with. As for the regular library books or books from stores, that's a tough one. You can vouch that I created a family through gundam books since I never really knew my fathers. But they were the only characters that I felt I could be around in my school days. Pretending some were human and others ghouls. Having a wild imagination leads you to see characters in the real world without actually being there. I'm not a liar and never was but in the heat of the moment, it all came out when we met up;a ghoul who felt pained and useless facing a human who just wants to be friends with everyone or anyone who needs it most." says Hide.
"Then who's flesh have I been eating?" wonders Ken.
"I forget. My Ken hasn't been around in what feels like ages. Its better to picture my current gundam dad dying instead of talking about going from a dead dad to a dad I lived with until moving out." says Hide shrugging.
"The hell have you been telling other me about family life?" wonders Ken skeptically.
Hide waved it off heading up to his room with Ken curiously following while trying to envision a scenario where Hide told a lie to make other him feel better. Would Hide stoop that low? Did Hide actually have a family he ignored for a fake one? Hide would care to much for family and friends so what was different about this Hide and other him's conversations compared to what his Hide and him had growing up? What was truth from reality to this Hide who wants to be happy without slipping into the darkness like he had and most likely other him?
"Tell me about your family life. I'll up your breakfast intake if you don't tell me word for word." says Ken letting his ghoul eye appear.
"I looked for characters that were like my dad and characters that would comfort my Ken and me with all the CCG bullshit. I can't really put my foster dad as a CCG member but my god was he all for ghoul annihilations. I ignored his ranting and pictured the characters as being like dad and myself. Casval/Char is how bitter my dad was yet seemed welcoming to others just the same. Amuro was like a really good friend to have around even though he battled a lot of the time. Apollo the werewolf human was how I interpreted my Ken and it seemed like he had a good life despite what happened to his closest friends like how my Ken's parents were taken from him. Setsuna is the current Ken...well he's emotionless yet doesn't mind company so in a way he is my Kaneki yet isnt. Sousuke was the CCG warrior army life father figure I wanted as a kid...he doesnt do well showing emotions but he's always there for his friends when push comes to shove. Can't say much for his romance skills though." says Hide looking behind him.
"Now you're making somewhat sense." huffs Ken retracting his tentacle.
"My Ken can pick out the manga that he relates to better than I can. So I dunno what to tell you from his stand point." says Hide.
"Then it's whatever manga jumps out at me out of all of them." says Ken.
"Intuition is key sorta speak." says Hide smiling brightly.
Ken's house...
"HEY GUYS! I don't really get to pow around with you these days." says Juuzou waving to the quinque duo.
Juuzou noticed Yuno had her arm around Mutsuki's neck with the quinque pressed against her from behind with Yukiteru trying and failing to calm Yuno down before she did anything she would regret. She never regretted anything so it was fruitless and the male quinque, Urie was to focused on Yuno to care what Yuki was telling everyone in the room.
"Where is the white haired ghoul!?" growls Urie.
"I told you! He felt it would be better to move out and went on his merry way! I don't know his whereabouts!" says Yuno pressing the knife to Mutsuki's neck.
"That doesn't explain why Hideyoshi isn't around!" says Urie.
"Hide and us have been talking about the said ghoul in question but he doesn't have the cruel killing stylistics that the ghoul exterminators have." growls Yuno.
"So where'd he take off too!? Did you do something to him!?" wonders Urie.
Yukiteru groaned bowing his head sweat dropping.
"All four of us were outside talking just before Hide was gonna leave when the white haired ghoul passed the house probably to look for Hide's place and Hide took off after him." says Juuzou.
Yuki lifted his head to watch Juuzou walk up to Urie only to be swatted away.
"You can't be trusted enough to know truths from lies." says Urie.
"We were all outside the other night and that's the truth. Yuno was being an eager beaver about something that could help Hide with his woes when Kaneki...the white head came into view. We thought he'd need his clothes but his mind must've been on other things. Hide rushed goodbyes and took off in the same direction and probably had no choice but to head to his place since Amon told him to keep his eyes on the teen at all times. I thought I'd help but the white head is creeped out by my appearing at the damnedest of times." says Juuzou grumbling towards the end.
Despite facing Yuno and Mutsuki, Urie focused his sights on Juuzou skeptically.
"If you two are here, that means Ginshi and Saiko are looking for Hide and the white haired ghoul elsewhere." says Juuzou crossing his arms in deep thought.
"So Hide, being the kind soul that he is, dragged the ghoul to his house. So my suspicions are technically right. Hide wanted a roommate and who'd be better than the ghoul we know nothing about." says Urie.
"I didn't say that." says Juuzou looking at Urie.
"What humble husband wants a psycho wife? A psychotic wife and humble husband in need of a son, attempted to keep the ghoul in hiding. Hide came into their sights forcing the ghoul to leave the house as if moving out. The ghoul is now a roommate of Hide's so he wouldn't get separated from his mission objective." says Urie.
"Urie, not everything is about missions once you get to know someone better." says Juuzou.
"You're a freak through and through so your ideals don't count." says Urie.
"What ideals!? I just fuck around with people to see what they are really like. The white head is no different than the people at the corporation building! His appearance says otherwise but if you can take in someone like me, then you can have a heart and let the white head in before you lash out and injure the shit outta the loner." says Juuzou unamused.
"A ghoul living as a quinx means the ghoul killers have grown soft." says Urie.
"The so called white head that the rest of the workers never feel up to getting to know is an artificial half ghoul." says Juuzou.
"That's a lie. What deranged human would force another human to turn into a ghoul?" wonders Urie.
"The white head is an artificial demon?" wonders Mutsuki.
"Don't feed into Juuzou's fantasies." says Urie.
"You have the choice of believing it or not. Don't hear it from us. If you ever find the ghoul, hear it out from him personally. Going from living as a human most of his life to an instant demon could flip your whole world around within seconds. Having to be hunted down by the beings you once were able to be yourself around. Having to live in the shadows while trying to keep sanity that fades over time puts you in a hell of a predicament when the craziness of what the current mind predicts from the human life to the demon life crashes down on you harder than you ever needed it to." says Juuzou growing serious.
"You're messing with us." says Urie.
"This couple took in the teen probably out of pity at first or maybe due to seeing themselves in the boy but with the CCG getting in the way, the teen decided to do things his way and fled. The couple and the teen agreed that they needed to start anew but no, there is no option to start anew from the paths that became of them. They knew what they were getting into yet the thought of the ghoul killers being around every corner was to much for the teen and off he went not wanting this couple to be pained even more than they already were." says Juuzou darkly.
"You have sided with them since Hide showed you the teen." says Urie.
"Hide and I are still CCG members but our beliefs differ from the exterminators themselves. Shinohara and I share our own views and agree on some things yet once a ghoul feeds off live humans, they have to be put down." says Juuzou.
"The artificial demon feeds on any human like the actual ghouls themselves. So that makes him more ghoul than human. Humans can't eat flesh, so for a human turned ghoul eating flesh is a disturbing sight to behold." says Urie.
"He's nothing like the full fledged ghouls we kill off. No, he hates the fact ghouls have no choice but to live off humans and it disgusts him the more he thinks back to his life starting out as a ghoul and even his current state of mind is weighing the option to give in and be done with his human past. He feels calm until anything relating to ghouls are brought up. Memories of the past are hard to shake off unless you can easily block them out." says Juuzou.
"Yuno, if you wanna beat the shit out of Juuzou's work buddies, take it outside. I'd rather not have anymore anxiety ridden heart attacks thank you very much." says Yuki turning his head mouth twitching.
"Blood splattering is necessary for unsuspecting guests who search for our boy to kill him off." says Yuno glaring at Yuki.
"Take it outside where we won't look like monsters." says Yuki nervously laughing trying to keep calm.
"How was your wife raised? What kind of family lives a looney life where killing is normal?" wonders Mutsuki looking at the knife.
"First off, we aren't married yet! Second, she killed her parents for mistreating her during middle school. After feeling the pleasure of ridding her parents, she took it upon herself to butcher anyone who separates her and me." says Yuki.
"Is this really the time Yuki!?" wonders Yuno.
"Third, about what Juuzou said, the white haired ghoul's childhood seems all sunshine and rainbows but its actually like Yuno's except Ken-he went along with it because his mom was all he had and he was proud of her for doing what she could for his aunt although the anger had to go toward someone and with no father around...well...they pretty much have the same background. Ken-the now half ghoul just blocked most of it out since he feels his mom was trusting and loving during his elementary days. The constant hitting just got worse as he held onto life while fearing his aunt's harsher beatings. Atleast that's how the abomination to the world has come to believe through what is left of the childhood memories. He goes between a crazy bloodlust mind like that of Yuno's and a weary of what's to become of him, isolated, anxiety...pretty much his human side...whatever is left is everything that has to do with me personality wise and doubtful urge to kill. He hates killing but he has to get by in the world somehow. It guilts him tremendously but how else can a ghoul-a half ghoul who wasnt meant to be be ghoulish go about living on the streets until he came to us as if it were a sign?" says Yuki.
"Juuzou said it would be better for the white haired ghoul to tell them not us." says Yuno.
"That pretty much sums up why we plan to renew our family lives despite personalities getting out of hand." says Yuki frowning.
"I really need to keep my scythe on hand so we can get to the bottom of things with a scythe to the throat and the one that's about to die writhing while spouting the plan." says Juuzou grabbing Urie's shoulder, "If you aren't here to chat without giving Yuno the wrong impression, that died eerily quickly."
"Let go of me Juuzou." says Urie.
"Retract your kagune if you wanna talk things out Urie. Tearing a nice looking house apart is pointless if bloodlust is your main priority. Blood baths are so much prettier outdoors than indoors. Maybe they're the same but ghouls are usually outside so painting the streets red is the best feeling this teen can savor." says Juuzou seemingly happy.
