Still have no idea who'd fit his mom...army gundam life or not. Organizations wise...detective Conan Vermouth would be perfect given her disguise ability. ...blonde hair, carries a gun...can't tell if evil or good. If Hide is the Shinichi of Tokyo Ghoul, Vermouth hands down best mother figure.

Sousuke~Biological dad
Vermouth~Biological mom

...that's a something of a couple if most logical Parental figures given his appearance and how he went about things hehehe hmmmm

Envisioned a different hooded attire for AU/Mirror Kaneki from Amazon. Hoodie/Sweater was most likely chosen by Hide back in high school. Who's to say?

"I can take you there if you want." says Touka.

"Take...take me there? You sure? I'm not that good with directions. I only stay in the surroundings I am familiar with." says Ken.

"Someone was bound to notice you if I hadn't stepped in." sighs Touka.

"How far is it from here?" wonders Ken.

"You will know when you get there. A stroll around Tokyo sounds nice." says Touka.

"To you maybe." says Ken.

Hide and Ken...

After searching a few stores, the duo found a digital scale within price range and moved onto searching for the mall or a supermarket.

"Imagining a Hide pillow sounds comfy. We aren't official though. I can't cuddle him whenever I want. My mind is already there yet isn't. Why must the mind come up with the most damning of things out of nowhere?" thinks Ken.

"Carrying a lot of bags would be a synch for you." says Hide.

"Huh? I can't show my kagune when acting like a human-what I used to be." says Ken.

"There'll be a lot of bags between clothes and food. We can't carry it all home." says Hide.

"You don't have a car so using our arms is all we can do." mutters Ken.

"Would be so much better when carrying as much as 10 bags." says Hide.

"Ghouls don't have the luxury of sprouting their kagune as they please." says Ken.

"There should be new laws for ghouls who want to live amongst humans." says Hide groaning.

"First, half ghouls need to be treated fairly on both sides before the humans decide to give it a try." says Ken.

"That'll take centuries." says Hide.

"Not if we play our cards right." says Ken.

"If humans gave ghouls a chance, life wouldn't be such a pain." says Hide.

"You're the only human who loves the idea of ghouls in this world. Not everyone may think the same but if someone changes their mind, could they be trusted with our secret?" wonders Ken.

"You can't undo the habits of the world just by a flick of a finger." says Hide.

"We should still be the same size right? Best we can get is hoodies to hide the pooch of fat." says Ken.

"Why only hoodies?" wonders Hide.

"That's if we can't find any shirts. You would have to try some on before we get the right shirt size." says Ken.

"What are shirts that scream you other than rabbits and sunflowers? Anything music related I guess." thinks Ken pondering.

"We wont know until we see all the options." says Hide.

"Liking a style shirt is one thing. Finding it in your size is another." says Ken.

"Come on then." says Hide grabbing Ken's hand to drag him inside.

"I said to leave me outside!" says Ken.

"I heard no such thing." says Hide.

"It seems like the obvious choice. Is this how couples should act?" says Ken.

"You'd stay put otherwise. And that is rude to a lover. I need another pair of eyes." says Hide.

Ken groaned but knew Hide was right. Staying outside the changing room was one thing. Leaning against the door while he changed was another. Kens face was maroon by the time Hide let him stand up.

Touka and Ken...

"Ever regret not going to the college you and Hide took entrance exams at?" wonders Touka frowning.

"Everyone already thinks I'm de-"

"That's something you told yourself. Do you ever get the urge to check out Kami college?" says Touka.

"The answer is pretty obvious." says Ken, currently wearing a Navy blue camo pullover hoodie, white button down polo shirt, black slim fit distressed patch demin jeans, and light blue athletic walking tennis shoes.

"Tell me a straight answer Ken." says Touka glaring into his soul.

"...every once in a while but it fades away. Thoughts come and go but anything-everything relating to Hide looms over it for some time." says Ken.

"Don't you think we should head over to Hide's to check up on him? It'd give you relief after removing yourself from his life." says Touka.

"Won't that mean seeing other me too?" wonders Ken.

"Yes, there's no better person to talk about your removal from Hide than yourself. Call it twin's intuition or whatever." says Touka.

"We aren't-"

"You could learn something from each other if you tried to look for Hide instead of telling yourself you could but on another day that never comes. Make it a surprise visit. Show up unannounced if need be. It'll make everything clearer if you talked face to face instead of imagining scenarios." says Touka.

"My mind screams it but my legs dont wanna move. Whether checking on him at school or elsewhere." says Ken.

"Stop struggling with what the mind wants and follow your heart. Life's a bitch. You gotta go with the flow and see where life takes you. You can either wait it out to see where it leaves you or take it upon yourself to see Hide before it's to late. The new family would get a kick out of seeing you in the flesh." says Touka.

"Staying out of things is better than being around people." says Ken.

"You can't live in your mind forever Ken." says Touka sighing.

"Been doing just fine." says Ken.

"You have to prove to people that both humans and ghouls can be together in harmony before you can go back to your own world. Whatever it is your mind created." says Touka.

"A kind heart can only do so much until the heart stops caring about what goes on." says Ken.

"As long as you don't use force they will see a light and if not, humans weren't meant to see the big picture after all." shrugs Touka.

Touka looked around the surroundings noticing the high school not to far from where they were.

"Come on Ken! The staff may be curious about our question." says Touka running ahead.

"What question? When do humans actually listen when it comes to ghouls?" wonders Ken nervously looking around for passerby.

"Don't make me go back for you!" says Touka.

"Atleast make sure you're within sight!" says Ken running after Touka.

"If anyone asks, we are on a blind date to see if it will work out!" says Touka.

"I'd rather not be gawked at!" says Ken getting closer to Touka.

"It's all in your head." says Touka grabbing Ken's wrist.

"Last first date went horribly wrong." says Ken.

"Which is why this is a secret date. One Hinami would be excited about if it goes well." says Touka trying not to let her anger surface.

"That's a strong if." says Ken.

"Don't tempt me to slam you against the door." says Touka.

"We don't have to seek out people who appose ghouls. We could-"

"We'd be better off looking for Hide's house." says Touka grabbing the door handle.

"I can't trust it but if you think a double date will work as a first date, being with really close friends is a start. Double dates don't classify as first dates though." says Ken.

"Acting like its hanging out with friends kills the mood too." says Touka moving her arm to open the door.

"You aren't good with relationships either, are you?" wonders Ken.

"My scary demeaner keeps the guys away." says Touka.

"Anger knows no boundaries." says Ken internally laughing nervously.

"Its better to lash out in fury like a human then to dangerously show the eyes of the demon within." says Touka.

The sound of the door creaking open startled one of the teachers passing by. The teacher sighed in relief seeing Touka then got confused by the boy next to her. It took the teacher a minute to recognize the boy that supposedly died a year ago and the confusion turned to fear.

"I was hoping to show my new boyfriend around the high school." says Touka seeing the fear etched on the teacher's face.

"You're Touka, if I'm not mistaken? HE's your new boy...friend?" wonders the teacher backing away.

"He works alongside me at Anteiku now. We are still trying to figure out each other and today, on a whim, we decided on a trial date. See if we are compatible with each other and all that mushy stuff." says Touka frowning.

"That young man should be dead. No normal human can leave unscathed after a ghoul run in." says the teacher.

"Technically, that girl was my first crush." mumbles Ken shadow eyed.

"KEEP AWAY FROM THE FACULTY FOUL DEMON!" screams the teacher running off.

"HE'S NOT EVIL PRICK!" yells Touka slamming the door closed.

Ken flinched then wearily stared at Touka.

"Adults these days..." growls Touka.

"Touka?" wonders Ken quietly.

"Fuck school! Where's a place ghouls can be at peace?" says Touka storming away.

"Empty playgrounds for starters." says Ken grabbing Touka's hand.
