Kawaii Neki needs more friends to count on so fear doesnt interfere
This was a tough one for this batch of Amazon shirts...I rushed decisions and ended up with a bunch of shirts for Hide and mind went into Yin Yang and angel mode for white hair Kenny
"Adults these days..." growls Touka.
"Touka?" wonders Ken quietly.
"Fuck school! Where's a place ghouls can be at peace?" says Touka storming away.
"Empty playgrounds for starters." says Ken grabbing Touka's hand.
"Yadda. Yadda. Yadda." grumbles Touka.
"We can go anywhere quiet in Tokyo but first task is to show me around the school and hearing people out. You want me to listen without back lashing, right? You may be pissed but being alone doesn't always mean you're lonely and create thoughts that piss you off in the moment. Talking to the voices in your head could result in many a thing." says Ken.
"You should tell that to other you not me." says Touka.
"We can talk to them all we want afterward. If I'm going to get used to people's reactions, may as well go through it with a fellow human loving ghoul." says Ken.
"You heard the teacher." says Touka.
"Then we'll just have to roam the halls being happy in silence. We don't have to talk as long as we spend time together." says Ken.
"You don't sound like the Ken that hides away in his room." says Touka.
"We can make it a quick in and out. Only focusing on the teachers if they wanna talk." says Ken.
"Be prepared for ugly answers." says Touka looking at Ken.
"It only hurts a little while." says Ken smiling.
"You're to adorable to be adulting." says Touka huffing.
"I'll take that as a compliment. I'd be screwed searching for oddball jobs I may be great at. Being part of your coffee house makes me feel at ease. You still need to work on timing your anger." says Ken leading Touka back to the entrance.
"People shouldn't be stupidly pissing me off over one thing or another." says Touka.
"It gets easier to ignore most of what people chant. Still stings when hearing it. If you distract yourself enough, everything around you fades away. Having no worries about losing track of time unless you see a clock." says Ken.
"That mindset doesn't help for work and school hours." says Touka.
"Not really sure how I made it without being late before Hide came into my life. I had a trick to making sure I was on time everyday. Hightail it to school before school hours and you get a classroom to yourself. Otherwise I was stuck at the park at all times. I only had one story book I clung to during my childhood. My instinct after 3rd grade was to sleep on the park benches at night. Part of me wishes I had grabbed my backpack I used for 3rd grade and my favorite childhood book from when I actually lived in a house. Hide was the one to give me a new backpack over summer break before 5th grade. TO this day, I dunno how he pulled off getting 2 of the same backpacks. It was a tad easier with me going with Hide and his dad to buy backpacks for junior high. I slept over his house a lot which gives his dad more of a reason to hate me." says Ken.
"I mean in the present as in current day." says Touka annoyed.
"You've been managing just fine. If we need time for dating then we can work around after school hours as long as our work shifts are over. Maybe break time? Our shifts would have to align for that to happen." says Ken.
"Ken is so different when there's noone in sight. Noone has actually talked to him aside from Hide. Not having a love life in school must be harsh. Hide must've got all the girls to flock to him only to be turned down to stay by Ken's side. Wouldn't that make them a couple? Guys usually aim for girls so that could never happen. Being childhood friends does deem them a possible couple if you're into that stuff. Outcast brothers turned outcast lovers...Naaaah. Never. Maybe? Childhood friends turned best friends speeding toward brothers from different families suddenly becoming outcasts that look like lovers to everyone watching them." thinks Touka.
"Me and interviews would be hell if they looked up information on me." says Ken.
"So it would seem." says Touka.
Touka went up to the door to open it and let herself and Ken inside after checking for more teachers.
"Coast is clear." says Touka.
"Feels like we are sneaking in with no students around." says Ken.
"No going back on it now." says Touka.
"Where do you wanna take me first?" wonders Ken.
"You want the answer to be the library dont you?" wonders Touka.
"It's wherever we stop infront of." says Ken.
"Hide's infatuation for Ken is none of my business but it was written all over his face every god damn time he appeared at Anteiku." thinks Touka.
"The way you and Hide talk about eachother means you had to be lovers at some point. You 2 pretty much lived your own lives apart from the students." mutters Touka.
"Hide does-did sound like a lover more than a best friend." ponders Ken.
"You chat like lovers while seeming like brothers. Family doesn't act like a couple. You guys aren't actual family so there's a chance Hide thought like a lover while hanging with you like a brother. You have me now so I shouldn't wrap my head around your past." says Touka.
"If you say so." says Ken.
"This has to be a sick joke anyway." says Touka.
"Hide's the one with twisted logic toward how we did things." shrugs Ken.
"How he remembers it and how you remember it are 2 different things." says Touka walking down the hall.
"Where are the places you like to be by yourself?" wonders Ken.
"I go to the roof during lunch. I mostly stay in my classroom. I hardly ever find another room to have alone time." says Touka.
"What would make me feel human is the welcoming taste of human food. Are natural half ghouls able to eat like humans or what? I went along with how I grew up with my foster parents. I was instantly deemed a ghoul and was only able to eat like one. They made up their minds to not let me try human food after how I acted when I was little." says Ken.
"You and your yin yang twin are the first half ghouls to be known to live in this world and get out of being murdered. I can't give you a straight answer no matter how much I rack my mind." says Touka.
"Now it's gonna haunt me." groans Ken.
"You're a unique type of fusion aspect. Experimentation to cruel and selfish scientists. Not that you are if you were-is it a blessing or a curse for you both?- God put everyone on this earth for a reason, ghouls and humans. I just havent seen anything good come about it yet." says Touka frowning.
"Logically I can eat like a human unless out hunting, right? That's how natural halfas are...right?" wonders Ken.
"You didn't know if human food was edible at a young age. Eating human food now may make you hurl if you are more ghoul than human." says Touka.
Ken sweat dropped.
"Going with instincts is hard when uncertainty plagues the mind." says Ken.
"You're comfort 'meal' was black coffee and the cut up human flesh being served to you. If you don't know if you can handle human food, test taste it before assuming the ghoul in you overpowers the human part." says Touka.
"Acting like I eat alongside the people I eat kills me inside." says Ken.
"You seemed fine around Hide." says Touka slyly.
"That's different!" says Ken.
"So we are both in the same boat yet arent. Oy...no more talking no matter what. We are here to scout out for ghoul lovers, not that there would be." says Touka.
Ken awkwardly nodded. Touka grabbed Ken's hand and both walked down the halls; Touka looking on the left and Ken looking on the right for any open doors to classrooms where teachers would be. There were 4 floors to go through. Would they beable to go through with being answered in such a way? Maybe Touka but Ken was another story. It was Touka's fury and Ken's gloominess that stood apart from how they would truly feel depending on how they reacted.
Hide and Ken...
inside clothing store...?
Ken was shadow eyed feeling gazes on him due to his evil Batman cosplay or maybe it was his bleached hair. Bleached white hair with a Batman attire would make anyone question the current Batman trope. The hero of the night following around a CCG worker who suddenly gained weight would put off anyone who didn't know the situation they were in. It was mostly kids with parents staring at their favorite dark knight who felt the need to dye his hair white to stand out in a world where hanging around atop buildings was freaky. What Tokyo citizen actually sat atop buildings to watch over trivial matters between ghoul and human kind? Ken wanted it to feel that way but Hide had other plans sticking that way of looking at his villainous ways to the back of his mind.
Ken was leaning on the archway entrance to the dressing room with his arms crossed to look like a clothes rack for his 4 shirts; a dark heather colored angel wings shirt that was half angel half devil on the front, a black concert shirt for the band Poison that just happened to be placed with the rest of the angel shirts claiming 'Fallen Angel' with a heart with angel wings logo; all in pink, a black Peaceful Warrior Yin-Yang shirt with the wording and logo in white and one fun looking Yin-Yang wolf tribe black shirt with the wolf logo being half white half black. He knew the shirts would fit him without needing to head into the dressing room. He was more worried about Hide than double checking if the shirts were the right size. He had to question how baggy Hide's shirts were or if they fit perfectly snug. They should've went with hoodies after all. Now Ken was a groaning mess trying not to watch the other customers in the men's clothing section.
Inside one of the stalls stood Hide uncertain which shirts jumped out at him the most out of the batch he grabbed and whisked into the dressing room. The few that were hanging on the door were a green Hip Hop Rapping Bunny Ears Easter shirt, a dark heather colored 'These are difficult times' Music lovers shirt, a navy Music is my happy place inspirational music novelty shirt and a white DJ cool yet funny music lover shirt. The rest that were hanging on the wall were a black Bob Marley inspired Good Music Hits shirt with the quote 'One Good Thing About Music When It Hits You Feel No Pain' mostly in gray with the word Good in Green, Music in yellow and Hits in red, a Kelly green Bunny Frequency shirt, a lemon yellow Cute Bunny Rabbit Playing Musical Notes Musician shirt, a royal blue Be the Sunshine Positive, Uplifting, Inspirational shirt with a smiling sun logo giving a thumbs up that had legs having the quote 'If You Can't Find The Sunshine Be The Sunshine'.
"Three or four shirts is just fine for me. How badly do you like those shirts that you can't choose?" wonders Ken to himself.
