Chapter 8: The BBQ and Party, breakfast, the falls and gardens, Laughing Water, excitement, and a return to Goldeneye for the night.

Jimmie and Goodnight were having a grand time dancing to an opening steel drum band that had played through supper, and later, Calypso music by another band. The Calypso was playing songs from an artist in the fifties named "Slim Henry," and everyone loved it.

The evening had started off with a Jamaican BBQ at the Bizot, where the elder Potters, Gudmundssons, Graves, Longbottoms, and Ernie and his date showed up, who dined at a long table with Mr. Blackenwell. Jimmie had noticed how the MDOCS and MIA group seemed to encircle Mr. Blackenwell, as if to shield him. He also noticed that they were all wearing dinner jackets, dress shirts with ties, and slacks, which would conceal not only their wands up their sleeves, but the firearms hanging from a shoulder holster under their left armpits. His mother and Debbie had their purses with them as well.

Now, while the newlyweds were dancing, as well as his siblings and Mark, Jimmie noticed a private conversation going on between Blackenwell, his father, and Dave at the table. Jimmie was pretty pissed from all the drinks, but he was sober enough to catch that, which he pointed out to Goodnight with a nod of his head.

"What do you think they're discussing?" Goodnight inquired.

"Probably about what occurred during our first night here," Jimmie replied, as he turned with Goodnight while dancing. "I'm not going to let that bother us, though."

"Good," Goodnight replied, as she pecked her husband on the lips.

"Tomorrow," Jimmie said with a smirk, "I'd like to apparate us to a special place, another falls, and see if you can remember it."

Goodnight looked up at her husband's amused eyes, "Really?"

"Yup," Jimmie said, "and there's another after that called Dunn's River, and I believe that you'll love the amusements, and their garden."

The two danced on until 11:30, where they said their goodbyes to their parents, the Longbottoms, Jimmie's siblings, and Mark, before they made their way to their villa.

Jimmie woke up at 3:00 AM, according to the stereo's clock beside the bed, and he had to relieve himself. He noticed that he was starting to develop a hangover as well, so he would drink a bottle of water before going back to bed. As he slipped out of the bed without waking his wife, he made his way to the en suite, and walked up to the toilet, where he looked outside after opening the wooden "jalousies" covering the window. There was a light rain out with the wind blowing, and he hoped that it didn't become worse. It was hurricane season, but Jamaica was lucky, in that it didn't suffer them as bad as the other islands did, due to its physical location. One had just hit the US around the Carolinas between the sixth and twelfth, which was named Hurricane Florence.

Just as he was finishing up, and was listening to the leaves blowing, he heard the snap of a stick, which caused him to quickly look outside. Here, he saw a man dressed in all black, including a black balaclava, who was creeping by the bamboo privacy fence around the garden shower. Before he could move, the man's head quickly turned, and all he could see were two green eyes staring back at him.

Before Jimmie could step away from the toilet, the man quickly placed his two thumbs and index fingers together, forming an equilateral triangle. Next, he held his right index finger up to his lips, and then turned to slowly walk away. It was an MDOCS officer, and that was probably Ernie, Jimmie thought.

"So," Jimmie muttered, "they're policing the resort." Next, he made his way to the kitchen, retrieved a bottle of spring water from the Smeg fridge, and slipped outside onto the porch to look out at the rain. Once finished, he made his way back to bed, and was out like a light, but not before sliding his wand under his pillow.

Jimmie and Goodnight had just started to have breakfast at the Bizot, when Jimmie heard the chair at the table beside them being pulled out, and someone plopping down into it with a loud groan.

Jimmie looked over to his right, and it was his cousin, Ernie, who looked like hammered shite. "Bad night?"

Jimmie noticed that Ernie was wearing a tropical themed short sleeve shirt that morning, which was half buttoned up, and was wearing tan Bermuda shorts, and a pair of leather flip flops.

"Ahhh," Ernie grouched, as he first wiped his eyes, and then his nose after he sniffed, "I've had better. All I want right now is a cup of coffee."

"Cold?" Goodnight inquired, as she stabbed a piece of cut up breakfast banger on her plate to eat.

"Yea," Ernie sighed, "a bit of one, plus a slight hangover." He then proceeded to motion the waiter over, and then slouched back into his chair. "Bloody rain last night! I was drowned when I got back to the bungalow."

"Gud mawnin missah Macmillan! Wah can mi git yuh fah breakfast mun?" (Good morning Mister Macmillan! What can I get you for breakfast, man?)

Ernie looked over at Jimmie's plate, and nodded toward it. "I'll have what my little cousin is having, and plenty of java."

"Mi will ave eh rite out mun," the waiter said, and then walked back toward the bar. (I will have it right out, man.)

As soon as the waiter was out of sight, Ernie smirked. "Be a good cousin, Jim, and cast a Notice-Me-Not on me, eh?"

Jimmie did so, with a wave of his hand, as the Potters watched Ernie bring out a small phial from his shirt pocket. He quickly pulled the cork, and downed the potion, which caused steam to shoot from his ears. "Ah, much better," Ernie said, with a sigh. "You can cancel it now."

Jimmie did so, as he bemusedly looked at Ernie. "Fellin' better?"

"Much!" Ernie said, just before a cup of coffee was sat down in front of him. "Thanks man!" Here, Ernie picked up the cup, and took a huge swallow, before licking his lips. "Blue Mountain, mmmmm!"

The waiter nodded, and headed back to the restaurant behind the bar.

Just as Jimmie put some egg and sausage into his mouth, and began to chew, Ernie said, "Here, kiddo, catch!"

Jimmie quickly glanced at his cousin, and caught a gold chain out of the air. "What's this for?"

"Put it on," Ernie explained, "it's an emergency portkey, and it has a tracking charm on it tied to the chain I'm wearing. If you two have any trouble, use the trigger word, 'Sirius,' and I'll come straight there. To trigger the portkey, which will bring you straight to me, use the phrase 'golden opportunity.'"

"For fek's sake!" Jimmie scowled, and Goodnight bit her lip.

"Don't complain." Ernie scowled, "it's on your da's orders."

Before Jimmie could complain further, the waiter sat Ernie's breakfast down in front of him, which he thanked the man for. Once he was gone, and as Ernie took his first bite, and swallowed, he glanced over at the young Potter couple to make sure that Jimmie had put the chain on.

"Listen, Jim," Ernie said as low as possible, "there's some really bad people running about, and we still don't know what they were ordered to do, so keep your wits about you, yea?"

Jimmie and Goodnight both sighed, but nodded.

It was now 10:00 AM, where the newlyweds apparated with a slight pop into a secluded area just down from the parking lot of Dunn's River Falls, which was located along the northern coast between Ocho Rios and the Greenwich Estate. Jimmie decided to take his new wife there first, and to the other falls second, as a surprise.

"Welcome to Dunn's River Falls and Park," Goodnight said, as she read the tall sign in the lot. Down below, was a direction sign with arrows, pointing in different directions for the craft market, the general gardens, the gift shop, the tranquility garden, the locker rental, the falls, the beach, the change rooms, the toilets, and the nurse's station.

They would spend several hours here, first visiting the falls, and then the gardens, as both Jimmie and Goodnight enjoyed exotic tropical gardens, and these were some of the best.

While at the falls, Jimmie explained that some of the Bond scenes were filmed there, but not all, which Goodnight noticed. It was here, where Bond, Ryder, and Quarrel disappeared underwater while breathing through reeds in Dr. No.

Eventually, they ended up at the gift shop, and at the craft market, where Jimmie spent a good bit of money, not only on decorations for their apartment, when they arrived home, but for presents for the family. Jimmie also bought some post cards, which he would mail out to everyone back home, especially to Ron and Hermione, and Seamus and Tracey. Goodnight was also busy snapping many photos using her cell phone.

After they ate lunch at Hayden's Restaurant, and walked around some more, including speaking with some of the tourists, Jimmie and Goodnight made their way back to their apparation point.

"How did you like it, sweetheart?" Jimmie asked.

"Oh my God, I loved it!" Goodnight exclaimed, as she threw her arms around Jimmies neck, and snogged him senseless.

Here, Jimmie cleared his throat, batted his eyes, and smiled at his new wife. "I have a special place for us to go next. It's private, but boats do take people there, however, I know where to apparate, and we'll walk down. When we get there, I'll let you look around, and tell me where we are?

"Ready?" Jimmie asked.

At Goodnight's quick nod, and with her huge smile, he turned on his heel, and they side-along disapparated with a slight pop.

Jimmie and Goodnight appeared at the edge of a large lawn, and as Goodnight looked around, there was a rather large, and older white great house across the lawn, and to the south toward the hills. "Where are we Jim?"

"This place is called the Laughing Waters Villa, and it's privately owned by the Jamaican government. It can be rented, and they throw weddings and have meetings here, etc. Come on, let's head down the steps to the beach."

The newlyweds made their way down the brick steps, where they came to a walkway, which they stepped off of, and upon the sandy beach. Part of it was divided by water, which came in from a falls that were directly at the sea.

Goodnight walked to the shore, and was looking out at the beautiful Caribbean, as well as at a few boats passing by, when she heard Jimmie start singing from behind her, which was something that he never did.

"Underneath the mango tree,

"Me honey, and me can watch for the moon.

"Underneath the mango tree,

"Me honey, and me make boolooloop soon."

Goodnight turned around, and there was Jimmie leaning against a coconut palm, which leaned outward from the bank above the beach. Next, she noticed the falls directly behind him, and how he was separated from her by the water that cut through that part of the beach. It was where they filmed the beach scene in Dr. No, and it choked her up to see her husband do this, so she sang back, as she made her way toward him.

.

"Underneath the moonlit sky,

"Me honey, and I can sit hand in hand.

"Underneath the moonlit sky,

"Me honey, and I can make fairyland.

.

"Mango, banana, and tangerine.

"Sugar, and ackee, and cocoa bean.

"When we get marry, we make them grow,

"And nine little chil' in a row.

.

"Underneath the mango tree,

"Me honey, and me can watch for the moon.

"Underneath the mango tree,

"Me honey, and me, we plan marry soon.

.

Here, Jimmie started to sing along with her as she reached him, where she wrapped her arms around his neck to stare into his green sparkling eyes.

"Me honey, and me, we plan marry soon.

.

"Underneath the mango tree...

"Underneath the mango tree...

"Underneath the mango tree...

"Underneath the mango tree!"

.

Finally, Goodnight gave Jimmie a huge smile that made his heart flutter, before she snogged him hard, while pushing his back against that palm.

"You're more beautiful than Honey Ryder ever thought about being," Jimmie muttered, as Goodnight snogged him again.

The couple apparated again after that, where they then traveled by lift chairs up to the Mystic Mountain Jamaica Adventure Park, which wasn't far, and close to Ocho Rios. There, the two rode the Mystic Mountain bobsled on rails, or the "summer toboggan," and walked the high canopy-walk through the rain forest, and the rope walk, where they had to wear a safety harness.

Once done, they apparated back to their villa, put their shopping in the trunk that Jimmie had shrunk down, wrote their postcards to mail from the front desk, and made their way to the Gazebo to dine. Here, Jimmie told Goodnight about the history of the resort.

"You know," Jimmie said, after taking a bite of snapper, "Fleming bought fifteen acres, and you'll never guess what was here before he built his private villa, which we'll visit before we leave by the way. Mr. Blackenwell promised."

"What was it?" Goodnight questioned, after wiping her mouth with the linen napkin in her lap.

"A donkey racetrack!" Jimmie stated, and then laughed out, which caused Goodnight to snort, and laugh along with him.

"How did he come up with the name, Goldeneye?" Goodnight inquired, as she dug into her jerk chicken, which was delicious.

"That was a British operation at Gibraltar to thwart the Spanish, who attacked The Rock. They had built a secret underground bunker there, in the rocky peak, and had a radio station there.

"Afterwards, he was sent to the Caribbean to monitor German subs, and he ran across this place, which is really called Golden Head. After he bought the property, he named it after the operation."

The two sat and chatted on into the night, and they had several rum punches before they headed back toward their villa, where they met Ernie, and said their good nights. Later, the two made "boolooloop" three times before they went to sleep, with Goodnight curling up next to her new husband, after laying her head on his shoulder, as he ran his fingers through her long golden hair.

Tomorrow would be another day of pleasure for the young Potters, and they would be seeing their parents and the Longbottoms off as well.
