Chapter 5: The Unexpected Surprise (Part 2)

"Oh, crap... Where is it?"

Amy asked herself as she looked under her bed, seeing that the object she was looking for wasn't there. Rouge merely continued to sip her cup of coffee while Amy scattered through her whole apartment, looking for what was missing.

"What are you even looking for?" asked Rouge as she placed the coffee mug down gently.

Amy approached the coffee table and sat down, pulling a strand of a hair away from her eyes and over her ear.

"I'm missing one of my heels..."

"Oh? What kind of heels were they?"

Amy paused.

"My 5,000 dollar heels..."

Rouge's eyes widened, her wings expanded in surprise, "WHAT!? You mean the GLASS ONES?! Why did you take them if they were that expensive!?"

"Because I wanted to show them off..."

"Oh, Amy..."

"And the worse thing is, they're made of real glass... I'm scared if it's left somewhere..."

Amy sighed sadly. Damn it… I have to look for those heels! she thought as she poured some coffee for herself.

After Rouge's visit, Amy changed from her pajamas into something a little more casual. Even though she had a hell of a night, she still had things to do.

She visited several shops, applied to a couple jobs (she did on-and-off work), and after getting back into her car, a thought hit her. Her eyes widened.

Wait a minute... she thought. I... think ... I...

Amy let out a groan.

"I think I left it at La Luna's..."

Amy sighed once more and turned her car on. She had to go back there...

As soon as she arrived, she stared up at the building first, then entered cautiously. She visited the front desk, only to be told that they didn't see such a thing, she sulked back home.

On her way, she noticed that the street was completely empty.

No murmurs of others, no laughter of children... Nothing.

It wasn't detrimental that she has those shoes back, but at the same time, when she's put most of her savings towards those heels, who wouldn't be upset? She's always found it as a backup in case she didn't have any money to make rent one of these months, and since work has been pretty flakey, she was hoping to rely on those to get her buy for a while.

But now that she doesn't have a complete pair, her brain froze completely: she needed to find those things, and asap! There's no way she can let designer heels out there in the middle of nowhere!

She began her walk back to her apartment, her thoughts accompanying her. She replayed how the evening went again, feeling her heart skip a beat for a brief moment. Amy, what are you doing? You cannot be seriously thinking about that asshole? she thought, shaking her head to erase her thoughts.

She won't lie, although she had been in a long-term relationship with Shadow, she's always wondered how Sonic had been over the course of the years. It's only been about a few years since she's moved on, and since then, she hadn't heard word of him since then.

Amy always felt a gravitational pull to Sonic since she was younger, and she never knew why. Despite the fact that they had been childhood friends since the beginning, she was always right behind him. She always prayed for him to give her the attention he gave most girls during that time, but he always had different priorities, and after a while, she just wasn't having it anymore.

Sonic had always had a complicated relationship with his family, and even before, they almost never got along, but as Amy started to pull away with him, he got more involved in his family's winery business while she began talking to Shadow.

She and Shadow had started school together at the time, but because of tuition costs, she and Shadow continued on the working route until Amy stopped going and Shadow went to school part-time.

Shadow never liked the way Sonic snubbed everyone out after going down that route, but despite that, everyone went their separate ways and hadn't talked since then.

Although Shadow was definitely a kind partner to Amy, she couldn't help her curiosity: she had always wondered what it would've been like for the two of them. She never thought about perusing it actively, but seeing him again after so long made her revisit those feelings again. She hated him and his pompous attitude, but Amy couldn't help but think about… other things.

Amy felt her cheeks get hot. I mean… Come on: it's been a while since I got any! Even women want sex! It's not even fair for Shadow to break up with me without giving me some before all this, ugh!

Being extremely flustered does a number on people, especially Amy, so thinking about Sonic's jerky attitude definitely did it for her.

As she reached the front of her apartment complex, she began to hear another pair of footsteps behind her, causing her to stop in her tracks.

She turned around, and as if by magic, she spotted Sonic, smiling the same grin he did last night.

Amy flinched, but still stood her ground, "What do you want?"

She would rather be thinking about Sonic instead of talking to his physical form.

"I just thought you'd want..." And as he said that, he revealed a crystalized heel within the palm of his hand, which almost blinded Amy.

She stood there, her mouth opened wide, "H... How did you get that!?"

"I don't think that's any of your concern."

"Yeah it is! They're MY heels!"

"Do you really want this back?"

"Of course, I do!"

Amy stomped towards his direction and tried to snatch her heel back, but to no avail.

He grabbed Amy's hand and spun her against the wall, placing his arms over her, caging her." I'll give you back your heel... Only if you consider my offer yet again."

Amy gritted her teeth; Sonic smiled. "If you offer yourself to me as my personal servant… Your heel is yours."

"F-FIVE MONTHS!? You're fucking cracked, Sonic! A complete jackass!"

"No need to call me names now... But what do you want to do? Do you accept it?"

"No way! I would rather DIE than be your servant!"

"Alright... I'm not forcing you, but just remember: you don't get this back unless you do," he added cheerfully, "Otherwise, this stays mine."

Sonic let go of her and watched her walk two paces back, away from him.

Amy tried to mutter, but before she did, Sonic walked to her and wrapped his finger around her strand of hair, and then neared it towards his lips, "You do know that the reason I'm doing this is to get close to you, right?"

Amy blushed as Sonic's eyes turned dark with endearment.

Amy turned and ran past Sonic and past the gate to the apartment complex, leaving Sonic with her glass heel.

She unlocked her apartment door and flung it open, slamming it quickly so as to prevent Sonic from even thinking about letting himself in.

There was no way she was going to let him win.

There has to be another way to get it back without letting him win.
