Chapter 6: Persistence

The next couple of weeks, she had been in her own head. She was already pink, but lately, she was just crimson.

You do know that the reason I'm doing this is to get close to you, right?

She pulled her hands to her face and tightened her eyes closed. The way he spoke to her, the way he looked at her, even the way he spoke to her was enthralling to her. She had been thinking about it this whole time, but she just felt so confused. She just broke up with her boyfriend!

Why was she falling for his tricks again?

Amy removed her hands from her face and clenched them into a fist. There was absolutely no way that she was falling for him. NOT AGAIN.

But for these mysterious heartbeats that seemed abnormal to her was scaring her. She knew she was sexually frustrated, but she couldn't possibly let him know that! The last thing she wanted was for him to know how she had truly felt. She had bigger things to worry about, and that was how to get her heel back.

She needed to go out.

Amy got dressed but as she placed her hand on the knob, she realized that if she left out that door again, there was a chance that she could meet up with Sonic again, and this time, their meeting will bring even more enjoyment towards her lustful side.

She gulped, and as her hand fell back down her side, she stared down at the ground.

"Damn it... If I don't get those shoes back... I will literally not live this down... They were my favorite heels," she muttered weakly. "That's the last time I take anything nice out anywhere!"

Amy turned around and sat herself on her couch and sighed. She drifted her sight towards the window and began to observe all the other people that were living out their peaceful, out-going lives.

Suddenly, she saw something she never dreamed of seeing.

She saw a black Hummer approach the parking lot of her apartments, and recognized whose Hummer it was.

Amy rushed towards her door and locked all five locks together in place.

Sonic was here.

Sonic headed towards the double doors to the lobby and as it swung open, he was greeted by a young clerk, who was blushing from Sonic's handsomeness, "C-C-Can I help you sir?"

"I'm looking for a woman named Amy Rose, and I am told that she is staying here."

The clerk's expression faded, "I'm sorry, but we're not allowed to disclose any residential information, especially if they're personal."

"Oh, I'm sorry. She's a family friend, and I just wanted to visit her."

"Really? Who's your friend?"

"Her name is Amy Rose? She should be a tenant here in this building."

"I don't know… I somehow don't believe you."

Sonic started to get annoyed, "Why do you say that?"

He kept to his charming standard smile.

"Because, you look like an absolute weirdo. There's no way I'm just going to tell you where she's staying—"

Sonic sighed before rubbing the bridge of his nose before pulling out his wallet, "Okay… How much do you want?"

The receptionist looked at him with a puzzled look before sneering at him, "Surprise me. Make it worth my while."

Amy's head perked up as soon as she heard the knock.

She slid onto the floor, crouched, listening to the mumbling coming from the other side of the door.

She stayed at her position until the noise was no longer audible. She rose from the floor and noticed a piece of paper and saw a letter under the doorway. She heard the footsteps of the people walk away.

After their shuffling was out of her sound range, she grabbed the letter and opened it, reading what was inside:

Amy,

Perhaps you're reading this, and of course you're reading this, so I'm going to extend the courtesy yet again: would you like to be my personal servant? I can give you room and board, and I also heard from Rouge that you've been looking for a stable job... I also heard from her that you ended your relationship with Shadow. Very interesting. Perhaps we can get together for a drink or two? Anyway, if you really don't want to, I'll just get rid of it, since you clearly don't need your heels back. But I just think you should be open to this opportunity. No matter what Amy, you're just destined to be with me. Now it's time for you to return the favor. But, just a warning: I always get what I want. And what I want is you Amy.

I'll hear from you soon,

Sonic the H.

Amy slammed her fist to the ground.

"Never..." she said between the tears that began to form from her eyes.

"There's no way I would fall for someone like you ever again..."

She wiped them away, and then crumpled the letter into a ball and threw it across the living room. Amy released a well-deserved groan, walking up towards her window again.

This is typical of him! Backing me into a corner and making me squirm... I hate him.

There she saw Sonic from down below, standing beside his Hummer, smirking at her in triumph.

I really hate him.
