Christmas party needs to be a thing first and foremost
"I'm going to have to ask Hide himself. So where's the festivities being held?" wonders Juuzou.
"Anteiku. We don't have enough time to think over themes and such but Hide got Hinami excited." says cycle 2 Ken.
"If you guys come, there'll be more humans to eat the meals and cake. Hide was barking stupidly about all the ghouls feeding him." says cycle 1 Ken.
"Hide enjoys being a foodie. How much do you pamper him?" says Juuzou.
"Enough to go from to slim to wrap my kagune around him to my kagune doing their own thing with Hide. I can do my own thing while my tentacles do the feeding and it gets nauseating having to whip up a table worth of meals. I have yet to take him to a buffet but the stares...so many stares gawking. It's not as bad in restaurants but I like to let him finish my meal before the workers or passerby notice." grumbles cycle 1 Ken.
"It does have a lot of tables but will it be safe to party there?" wonders Juuzou.
"A private get together with more friends sounds nice. We can't trust the CCG's last resort to be around us though." says cycle 1 Ken.
"Ginshi's chill for a ghoul killer. Saiko too! Can't say much for the other two...they're not as relaxed around suspicious ghouls." says Juuzou.
"I can vouch for the gamer girl and oddly placed shark teethed Hide who screeches 'DUDE!' to people he talks to." says cycle 2 Ken.
"Juuzou is my limit for friends from the enemy." says cycle 1 Ken.
"You need more friends to count on." says Juuzou pouting.
"Mad hatter of a reaper should very well know that those that fetch suspicious ghouls can never be friends once the ghoul killers are involved." says cycle 1 Ken bitterly.
"What are you so guarded about?!" wonders Juuzou.
"Hide and I don't know nor want to know what headquarters will do to me once we head into the building. Ghouls who get caught get put down like the animals we are without resentment. If they do cage me up, how well will my mind be once the torture is over? They will desire to test both Kens to see how our minds tick until there's nothing left. I can't hang around those people. That Amon guy turned his back on Hide's mission to see what I'm like compared to the usual ghouls." says cycle 1 Ken.
Silence swept the air in the room as the other boys took in cycle 1 Ken's words.
"Not all ghoul killers enjoy their job." says Juuzou.
"If the mission is still ago then we should be fine yet those ingrates took it upon themselves to dispel the missionary friendship. If ghouls are treated like animals then we are no different than actual animals for lab testing." growls cycle 1 Ken.
"Hey...they're worried about the aftermath." says Juuzou.
"Aftermath my ass! Hide should never have to die over wars of conflict. I thought ghouls were the beasts of this two way hell but now I can tell its the humans who only see faults in ghouls." says cycle 1 Ken walking away.
"Dead inside? Or really moody?" wonders Juuzou frowning.
"It's not uncommon to be gloomy around the cheerful season." says cycle 2 Ken.
"He takes it to a death do us part in a literal sense." says Juuzou.
"He's had first hand experience with bouts against the ghoul killers without being able to plead his case. He hates the headquarters for pushing him to kill alongside suspicious ghouls when he could've been alone. He wanted strength to keep his friends safe yet those friends were killed by the ghoul killers or killed on sight with him only able to keep the 'rescuers' at bay. But that's how cycle 1 played out and now he's taking that conclusion to heart with little trust toward humanity's saviors. That's what differentiates him from me. He might be able to gain new friends while I'm a waste of space. A mere place holder where if no Ken was born, how would things differentiate? What ghouls would be with Hide if he still amongst the living?" says cycle 2 Ken.
"We need to put him in high spirits." says Juuzou.
"Says the teen who hasn't checked in with Hide. Disappearing must be all of our go to thing. We disappear when we feel unwanted and you disappear when sorrow looms over you." says cycle 2 Ken.
"Mood darkened the room after I left." says Yuki.
"It soured into if humans are the beasts to the beauty of the world and I hated the concept. Though it was mostly me speaking such treacherous thoughts." says cycle 1 Ken walking up to Yuki.
"Oh?" wonders Yuki.
"Ghouls are as devilish as humans but now that I know what it's like to be demonized-ostracized by the previous headquarters to make an uncommitted vow, the human race are more beastial than ghouls by a long shot. Treating ghouls like animals to put down or use as lab rats is cruel and unjust and ghouls only have one way of gaining meals. I still despise ghouls and most humans fear the worst but it's the same humans that don't want half ghouls blending in until the humans get the shock of their lives." says cycle 1 Ken.
"It is hard finding the right friends with what made you the current you." says Yuki.
"Can't we be friends on and off the battlefield?" wonders Juuzou rushing up to cycle 1 Ken.
"Seriously? Friends fighting on opposite sides would force said buddies to falter and I don't make acceptance for friends with benefits. Ghoul side or dove side? Whiny humans who feel better when us ghouls as test subjects for kagune weaponry or ghouls who try to get by in life yet get no right to speak up for ghouls who want normal lives?" says cycle 1 Ken.
"There has to be some leeway we aren't seeing." says Juuzou.
"If they can't listen to reason, dove friends are useless." says cycle 1 Ken.
"Yet Hide is the true exception unlike me who didn't give you time for friendship in your cycle." says Juuzou.
"Ghouls and humans will never see eye to eye and with Hide and me as the first human turned ghoul\human friendship in existence...that can be seen without doubts, both sides see the other as trash and phony with so much at stake. Fake friends turn on you yet Hide and I never had that. I turned my back on him but he never gave up." says cycle 1 Ken.
"All this chatter is gonna bring in to much Christmas blues if we don't get to it." says Yuki.
"Where do we start?" wonders Juuzou.
"Well...family would do something goofy like a Christmas sweaters or pjs theme." says Yuki reverting his eyes.
"Hey, Yuno, we're not sure of the theme topic but we can all go shopping for sweaters! Wait...to many people to search for." says cycle 1 Ken calling to Yuno uneasily.
'You loathe humans for your previous life? Sounds exactly like me just different situation.' says Yuno.
Cycle 1 Ken went silent.
"The first cycle did you dirty like me so your mind is still leaving behind treacherous ghouls who force groupy friendship through torturous mutilated bloody acts. Compared to Yamori and the ghoul squad, humans are the ones who need to be bloodied up due to what those in the science division or seemingly healing doctors do with humans. Is it really helping the world or is there something hidden from plain sight? Which is the bigger evil; scientists or doctors but what of the other humans with jobs? Hmmm...slaughter all humans or those in the jobs that went alongside the ghouls that you could've murdered by yourself? If you had momentum boy that is." says Yuno walking up to the boys.
"Don't get hasty Yuno!" says Yuki.
"I was granted a way to slaughter everyone in the world but if there is a way for the world to live together in harmony explain it." says Yuno.
"He's in a mood." says Yuki.
"Yeah, but there's nothing like gazing at blood to relieve tensions for Romeo and Ghouliet." says Yuno.
"Romeo and ghouliet...are our lives that tragic?" wonders cycle 1 Ken squinting annoyed.
"I guess in cycle 1 terms Juliet is Hide thanks to the raid with you as Romeo who seemingly dies afterward. Yet no poison is shown. No, Arima makes you blind by slicing out your eyes which we safely took you away before happening. Are you a twisted dragon who takes away human freedom or a prince who sweeps the one his heart craves away? How do people see you albino?" says Yuno.
"Trying to get Centipede to take over through logic of blood and gore reasonings?" wonders cycle 1 Ken.
"Wars of conflict between two species. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la! Tis the season of bloody chaos. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la! Down with humans and ghouls without a care...Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la! Watch the gushing red blood drip. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la! Strike all those around us. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la! Follow us in this vengeful slaughter fest. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la! Set your sight on the goal within reach. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la! Soon there'll be a new place everyone can call home. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la! All hail the gods and king of ghouls. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la! So many ghouls and humans together as one. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la! Now the one family branched into two can live peacefully. Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la." says Yuno sliding her knife along cycle 1 Ken's side before making a stabbing motion only for nothing to happen.
Cycle 1 Ken kept his annoyed stare on Yuno while Yuki gawked speechlessly and Juuzou was still humming away to the tune.
"Demons come in all forms lover boy. Dragons kill every last human while princes keep everyone alive so said princess can be safe to do as she pleases. In albino's case, prince of gluttony and Black haired, bitchy bully of a princess who appears hateful yet is actually kind. Are humans the true villains or is it still ghouls? Pity the fools who never think beyond what goes on when never seeing it for themselves." says Yuno chuckling sliding the knife away.
"Princes that turn into dragons sound epic yet creepy." says Juuzou.
"I'm not you who kills for pleasure. I kill when those I love and cherish get slaughtered like lambs." says cycle 1 Ken.
"Kenny kills humans when put on the line while Centipede tears humans apart to drink their blood before biting into them. Fair exchange." says Yuno.
"We're supposed to be in Christmas spirits. Where's the music and stuff?" wonders Yuki.
Yuno went to say something yet Yuki glanced at her uneasily.
"Switching the lyrics to suit you is criminal." says Yuki.
"What would you have preferred with a family of evilness mixed into one?" wonders Yuno pouting.
"Let's head to Anteiku and go from there. I'd offer this house but there'll be two grinches wherever we party." says Yuki looking away.
"I don't take presents from kids. Other Ken would look like a creeper when spotted. I'm more creeper than him though." says cycle 1 Ken.
"No, but killing around the holidays means no happy kids to open presents nor the parents themselves." says Yuki.
