Hello and welcome to another chapter of Kingdom Hearts RWBY. Sorry about the long wait. I can already hear Vergil screaming "Where's your motivation?"
Now, let's get to it.
As usual, I own nothing.
AN: Apologies for the lackluster flashback. Couldn't really think of anyway to make Sapphires experiences in these worlds stand out.
(Flashback)
Agrabah was the next world Sapphire, Sora and the gang visited. It was there that the gang met Princess Jasmine, the ruler of Agrabah. Jasmine was on the run from Jafar, the former advisor of Jasmine's father. After defending Jasmine from Jafar's Heartless, the gang found a small home with a magic carpet. Thanks to Carpet, the gang was able to find Aladdin in the desert. Unfortunately, the Heartless found them too.
Aladdin used the power of Genie, a powerful entity that was trapped in a magic lamp for ten thousand years. Genie was able to grant three wishes to whoever rubs his lamp. Something Sapphire found awesome. As it turns out, Aladdin was in love with Jasmine and wanted to use his wishes to win her heart. When he heard that Jafar was hunting her, Aladdin traveled back to Agrabah with Sapphire and the others.
Upon arriving in the city, Jafar had cornered Jasmine. Aladdin wished for Genie to save her, only to have the lamp stolen by Jafar's talking parrot, Iago. Using the Heartless as a cover, Jafar kidnaped Jasmine and took her to the Cave of Wonders. The gang was able to venture into the cave after defeating it's guardian.
It was at the cave's lamp chamber that Sapphire and the other had their first encounter with Maleficent. They also found out that Jafar was working with the witch and that she needed Jasmine and six other princesses to "Open the door." Genie was forced to help Jafar attack Sapphire and the gang, but the five heroes were able to beat Jafar. However, the former advisor had one last wish; To be an all powerful genie.
Against all odds, Sapphire and the other were able to defeat Jafar, seal him into his lamp and seal the Keyhole. Unknown to the heroes however, Jasmine was kidnapped by Riku during the battle. After escaping the Cave of Wonders, Genie had volunteered to use Aladdin's last wish to find Jasmine. Aladdin instead chose to free Genie from his lamp, but asked his friend to help Sapphire and the others find Jasmine.
The group made a quick stop in Traverse Town, where the met Pinocchio. A wooden puppet with a heart and Jiminy's friend. They would meet again inside Monstro, a giant whale that swims the lanes between. It was inside Monstro that Sapphire and the others met Pinocchio's father, Geppetto. It was also where Sora met up with Riku again. But something wasn't right with him. Riku wasn't acting like much a friend and seemed to hate Sapphire for some strange reason.
Pinocchio ended up getting captured by a Heartless and Sapphire, Sora and Riku had to work together to free him. Only for Riku to take Pinocchio hostage, stating that Pinocchio may hold the key to helping someone who's lost her heart. Something that gave Sora pause. Riku tried to convince Sora to join him, but Sora refused to side with the Heartless and saved Pinocchio. Monstro ended up sneezing Sapphire and the gang out, while Riku escaped in a dark corridor. Sora then realized that the next time he met Riku, they would be enemies.
After escaping the belly of Monstro, Sapphire and the gang made their way to Atlanica, a underwater world. Thanks to Donald's magic, the gang was transformed into sea creatures, with Sapphire being a mermaid and Sora a merman. Learning to swim underwater was hard. But thanks to their new friends Areil, Sebastian and Flounder, the gang learned pretty quickly.
Sapphire and the others then met King Triton, ruler of the seas and Areil's father. The king was suspicious of Sapphire and the others, especially when Goofy mentioned the Keyhole and refused to help. Areil took it upon herself to help her new friends find the Keyhole.
After exploring a sunken ship and a close encounter with one mean shark, Sapphire and the others found a crystal trident. The shape of the crystal reminded Areil of something similar in her grotto, where she keeps her treasures of the surface world.
Unfortunately, King Triton found out what the gang was doing and destroyed the crystal. He then revealed that he knew that Sapphire and Sora were Keyblade wielders and that they were meddling in the affairs of other worlds. Ariel was then approached by Ursula the Seawitch, who tricked the girl into handing over Triton's trident.
The gang chased Ursula to her grotto and fought the Seawitch. Ursula used the power of Triton's trident to grow to a colossal size. It was a hard fought battle, but Ursula was defeated and the Keyhole was sealed.
(Flashback ends)
At Beacon Academy, things have been going well for Sapphire and Rhexia. It's only been a few weeks, but the two Keyblade wielders were starting to get used to school life. Well, as far as being assistant teachers to Glynda Goodwitch. Soon after the initiation, Sapphire and Rhexia confronted Headmaster Ozpin, who revealed that he knew of the Keyblade, the Heartless, magic and the existence of other worlds. Needless to say, Glynda was floored that her new charges were trained in ways she couldn't believe. Ozpin and Glynda agreed to keep the wielders secrets, but Sapphire was wary of them. The bluenette couldn't help but think there was something else the two headmasters were keeping secret.
The first day of school was eventful. Sapphire had learned that her twin had her Dive. Which meant that Ruby was a step closer to getting her Keyblade. Though, there was one problem. Weiss Schnee. The white haired girl had declared that Ruby wasn't fit to lead and that Ozpin was wrong in his choice of making Ruby team leader. At first, Sapphire was angry at Weiss. But after talking to her, Sapphire discovered that Weiss was hurting deep down. As if there was a weight on her heart that she's trying to lift. After a brief talk, things started to get better between Ruby and her partner.
During their free time, Sapphire and Rhexia took Ruby and Yang to train in the Reality Marble. They weren't quite ready for the more dangerous enemies yet, but Ruby and Yang could at least take on the lower ranking Heartless. What was strange though was that Blake seemed to be closely watching the four sisters.
It wasn't all training though. Sapphire and Rhexia had become closer to team JNPR as well. Between Jaune's awkwardness, Nora's excitable nature, Pyrrha's habit of apologizing for almost everything and Ren's quietness, JNPR was quickly becoming friends to the two Keyblade wielders.
Rhexia even made friends with another group of students. A second year team called CFVY. Rhexia was surprised that Fox could fight despite being blind, Yatsuhashi was nice enough to be around despite his intimidating size and Coco was a fashionista who admired Sapphire and Rhexia's sense of style. But the rabbit Faunus, Velvet, truly connected with Sapphire. The two had found something to bond over. Their love for sweets. More specifically, cinnamon buns. Mom's cookies well always be number one in Sapph's heart, but cinnamon buns were pretty close. With blueberries taking the third spot.
Of course with school life comes bullies. Case and point, team CRDL. The four boys had been a constant pain for Sapphire and Rhexia in the past few weeks. If it wasn't the fact that they constantly pick on Velvet for being a Faunus, it was the fact that the boys kept flirting with Sapph and Rhexia. Never mind the fact that the two girls were technically teachers. It got so bad once that Yang had to be restrained to keep her from turning Cardin into a human punching bag. The four boys had already received multiple detentions for their misconduct, only to be unrepentant. Which leads to CRDL's other target for abuse. Jaune Arc.
It was time for combat class and Glynda was called away for something important. Leaving Sapphire and Rhexia to teach the class themselves. As soon as class started, Cardin jumped on the chance to fight Jaune. The blond tried. He really did. But it was clear Jaune was out of his league. Which was odd, since even a new student should be able to put up a better fight. But it was as if Jaune had no prior training whatsoever.
Cardin, with his weapon perched on his shoulder, stands opposite to Jaune with a smug look on his face. Jaune leans on his weapon in exhaustion. The blond looks at Cardin, who laughs at his opponent's tiredness. Jaune gathers his strength, charges forward and swing his blade at Cardin, only for him to jump out of the way. Jaune looks back in shock as Cardin sends Jaune's shield and himself flying back. Now only armed with his sword, Jaune continues to try and attack, but is blocked by Cardin's mace's hilt. Their weapons locked, Cardin forces himself up, towering over a struggling Jaune.
"This is the part where you lose." Cardin says.
Jaune glares at his opponent in defiance. "Over my dead-!"
Jaune is cut short as Cardin knees him in the gut, making Jaune drop his sword and fall to the ground in pain. Cardin raises his mace and is about to slam it down on a worried Jaune just when the buzzer rings.
"That's enough!" Sapphire says as she steps towards the two boys with a tablet in her hands. Rhexia stands behind the bluenette with her hands folded.
Cardin sneers as he grips his mace. As if he is about to strike Jaune anyway.
Sapphire narrows her eyes. "Cardin. Enough."
Cardin let's out a scoff before relenting. Causing Jaune to let out a breath he was holding.
Sapphire closes her eyes for a moment before addressing the class.
"Now, as you all can see, Jaune's Aura has dropped into the red zone." Sapphire says. "In a tournament, that would mean he is unable to continue and an official would call the match."
While Jaune continues to lay on the floor in defeat, Pyrrha looks on in sadness. Sapphire turns her head to look at the losing warrior as he pulls out a smaller tablet with his low, blinking stats and that of his entire team.
"Jaune." Sapphire says snapping Jaune out of his funk.
"Y-yes, Professor Rose?" Jaune asks.
Sapphire let's out a sigh. "Jaune, it's been weeks. You should've shown some improvement by now. Having determination is fine, but it won't mean anything if you don't put any effort into what you're doing."
"Also, you need to pay more attention to your Scroll." Rhexia says. "That way you can plan ahead in case you're on defense. Wouldn't want a Beowolf turning you into jerky."
"Speak for yourself." Cardin says with a scoff.
Sapphire narrows her eyes at Cardin. "Your seat, Mr. Winchester."
Cardin growls slightly before walking back to his seat.
"Tsk. How brats like those two got to be teachers is beyond me." Cardin mumbles. "If you ask me, Ozpin's going senile."
"I'll be sure to tell the Headmaster you said that." Sapphire says. "Now back to your seat."
Cardin looks back at Sapphire with a snarl as the bluenette simply stares back, unintimidated. The boy relents after a few seconds and heads back to his team. Sapphire watches Cardin for a moment before shaking her head.
"Now then, we have time for one more match." Sapphire says as she scrolls down her tablet. "Let's see..." Sapphire smiles as she makes her choice. "Pyrrha?"
Pyrrha snaps to attention. "Yes?"
"You up for that spar?" Sapphire asks with a smile.
Pyrrha slightly gasps in surprise before smiling. "I would be honored."
Sapphire hands Rhexia her tablet as Pyrrha walks to the ring. On the way, Pyrrha passes Jaune who moves dejectedly back to his seat, without acknowledging his partner. Pyrrha looks on in sadness before turning entering the ring. Rhexia taps on the tablet as the overhead screen displays Sapphire and Pyrrha's Aura's. The two girls in question draw their respective weapons.
"This should be good." Yang says. "Any bets on whose gonna win?"
"Pyrrha, obviously." Weiss says. "No offense to your sister, but Pyrrha IS a four time champion."
"I don't know. I wouldn't count out Sapph just yet." Ruby says with a knowing smile.
Weiss and Blake raise an eyebrow in confusion before ultimately shaking their heads before turning back to the arena.
Rhexia glances at the two combatants. "And... Begin!"
Pyrrha makes the first move as she charges forward. The redhead makes a few lightning fast strikes, which Sapphire either blocks or sidesteps. Pyrrha goes for a thrust, but Sapphire sidesteps the attack. Though a few strands of the bluenettes hair were cut off. Pyrrha then goes for another thrust, but Sapphire blocks it. The redhead makes a subtle gesture with her hand, but for some reason, becomes shocked. Almost like she was expecting something to happen. Sapphire notices Pyrrha's shocked expression, but says nothing about it.
Pyrrha quickly regains her composure and swipes at Sapphire a few times. Each attacked blocked by the bluenette. Seeing an opportunity, Sapphire quickly moves inside Pyrrha's guard. The redhead gasps as she caught off guard. Thinking quickly, Pyrrha falls backwards as Sapphire attacks her. However, Pyrrha doesn't escape unscathed as Sapphire grazes Pyrrha's chest. Taking a portion of her Aura. Pyrrha backflips twice to recover from the bluenettes attack.
In the bleachers, multiple jaws drop at Sapphire and Pyrrha's display. Those who know of Pyrrha's reputation as the "Invincible Girl" are shocked to see their professor, a student at that, easily survive an exchange from her. The display was even enough to knock Jaune out of his funk.
Ruby grins as she glances at a stupefied Weiss. "See? Told you so."
Both Weiss and Blake pick up their jaws as the narrow their eyes at the two combatants. Both paying full attention to the fight.
Pyrrha takes a breath as Sapphire readies her Keyblade. The bluenette then gives a smile to her opponent. The expression is contagious as Pyrrha couldn't help but smile as well.
"She's good." Pyrrha thinks. "After seeing her display during the initiation, I knew she would be one of the better fighter's among our year." Pyrrha frowns slightly as she examines Sapphire's Keyblade. "Still, why didn't my Semblance work?"
"Okay, that should do it for the warm-up." Sapphire says. "Ready to get serious, Pyrrha?"
Pyrrha is taken aback at Sapphires comment, but quickly shakes it off. She then takes a breath before responding with a nod. The redhead shifts her stance. Sapphire smiles before responding in kind. The bluenette closes her eyes as she takes a breath. When she opens her eyes however, Pyrrha gasps slightly at Sapphires expression. The girls face spoke of someone who has endured a lot to get to were she is today. But the expression looked so...out of place on someone so young. Pyrrha instantly knew that her fight was going to get a lot tougher now.
Pyrrha wasn't the only person who caught on to Sapphires change in demeanor. Rhexia shot her other a concerned look. Ruby and Yang looked concerned for their sister and Weiss, Blake and strangely Ren narrowed their eyes.

Back to the fight, Sapphire and Pyrrha stare each other down. The two then charge forward as Pyrrha makes the first move. Sapphire and Pyrrha clash blades, but the redheads blade continues forward. Knocking Sapphire off balance, much to her shock. Sapphire quickly regains her focus and charges forward. The battle seemed to derive into a type off dance as both combatants swing their blades while blocking the others incoming strike.
With a yell, Sapphire spins before attacking Pyrrha. Only for the redhead to block the attack with her shield. However, the force behind the attack was enough to create a cloud of dust on impact. Pyrrha quickly recovers and strikes back with a yell. Only for Sapphire to block the attack, while another dust cloud formed on impact.
Back in the bleachers, the students were both in shock and awe of the two fighters performance.
Pyrrha leaps forward and attacks Sapphire with an overhead strike. The bluenette parries the strike, causing the redhead to recover with a backflip. But Pyrrha quickly finds herself blocking a sudden strike from Sapphire. The two break off from the exchange before dashing forward while clashing blades. Pyrrha manages to get a shot off of Sapphire, causing the bluenettes Aura to drop. It was only thanks to Sapphires reflexes that she was able to slightly divert Pyrrha's strike and reduce the damage. Sapphire responds with a strike of her own and much like herself, Pyrrha manages to reduce the damage to her Aura. Pyrrha manages to recover and makes a few swipes at Sapphire. Only for the bluenette to parry each strike.
Sapphire and Pyrrha clash before staring each other down. Suddenly, Sapphire is forced to gasps as she feels a hit to her stomach. Glancing down, she is able to see Pyrrha's fist lodged into her stomach. The bluenette stumbles backwards from the impact.
"Got her!" Pyrrha thinks.
Pyrrha lunges forward with her sword at the ready. Things seem to slow down as Pyrrha inches closer and closer. Suddenly, Sapphires eyes, that were shadowed by her hair, shine with a gleam as the bluenette quickly parries Pyrrha's strike. Much to the redheads shock as well as the students.
"How did she recover so quickly?!" Pyrrha thinks in shock.
Pyrrha has no time to think as Sapphire lunges forward. To the redhead's shock, Sapphires Keyblade begins to shine with a blue light. With a yell, Sapphire uses Sonic Blade to land seven consecutive strikes on Pyrrha. Seeing her opponent attempting to make another strike, Pyrrha digs in her heels. Refusing to lose, the redhead lunges forward. The two combatants strike one another dead on, creating a shockwave from the impact. Pyrrha is blown back a few feet and much to her shock, Sapphire had managed to recover. More so, the bluenette has another strike at the ready!
"Is this it?" Pyrrha thinks with wide eyes. "...Am I...about to lose?"
Sapphire lunges her blade at Pyrrha, but suddenly gasps. She then stops her attack, just before it can make contact. Causing the glow to fade from her blade. The students are forced to shield their eyes from the resulting shockwave.
{End OST}
As the dust settles, the students sit in shock and awe.
Ruby glances at the screen and gasps at the sight. "Look!"
The students look towards the screen and gasps. Both Sapphire and Pyrrha's Aura's were in the red zone.
"It's...a draw." Blake says in disbelief.
"No way..." Weiss says breathlessly.
The buzzer rings. Indicating that the match has ended.
"Match over!" Rhexia says. "Tie game!"
Pyrrha takes a few steps backwards as Sapphire stands up straight. The bluenette's expression switches back to normal as she puts her Keyblade back on her belt, walks towards Pyrrha and pats the girls shoulders.
"That was an awesome fight, Pyrrha!" Sapphire says cheerfully. "I really worked up a sweat!"
"T-thank you..." Pyrrha says hesitantly. She then examines her professor. "It's like a switch was turned off."
Suddenly, the bell rings.
"Remember everyone, the Vytal Festival is only a few months away!" Sapphire says. "It won't be long before students from the other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing! Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale!"
Still stunned from Sapphire and Pyrrha's fight, the students begin to wordlessly leave the classroom. As he leaves, Jaune looks to be in deep thought. Pretty soon, only Sapphire, Rhexia, Ruby and Yang are left in the classroom.
"You slipped up." Rhexia says bluntly.
Sapphire nods and sighs dejectedly. "I know."
"I thought the idea for us was to lie low." Rhexia says with her arms folded. "Now everyone's gonna be talking about how a first year fought Pyrrha Nikos to a draw."
"You okay, Sapph?" Ruby asks in concern as she and Yang walk towards the bluenette.
"Y-yeah!" Sapphire says. "Just having trouble remembering that I'm not fighting for my life right now. I really need to take it easy."
"I'll say." Yang says. "I was on the edge of my seat." Yang grins as she puts her hands on her hips. "Makes me wanna go a few rounds with you."
Sapphire giggles. "Well, you'll get your training when we head back into the Reality Marble after school." Sapphire turns to Ruby. "Any luck on summoning your Keyblade?"
Ruby shakes her head with a sigh. "Not yet."
"Give it time." Sapphire says.
"Come on." Rhexia says. "It's lunch time. And I'm starving."
Rhexia, Ruby and Yang leave the classroom. Sapphire stays behind as she looks at her right hand.
"Take it easy?" Sapphire asks rhetorically. "Wish I can take my own advice."
As Sapphire leaves the room, she is unaware that a certain black themed girl was listening in on their conversation as she steps out from behind the door.
"Keyblade?" Blake asks in confusion.
"So! There we were, in the middle of the night..." Nora says.
"It was day." Ren corrects.
After the exciting battle in combat class, Sapphire, Rhexia, teams RWBY and JNPR sat in the cafeteria eating lunch. With Nora telling her friends an...interesting story. Some were listening. Others... not so much.
"We were surrounded by Ursai..." Nora says.
"They were Beowolves." Ren corrects.
"Dozens of them!" Nora exclaims.
"Two of 'em." Ren corrects.
"But they were no match... And in the end, Ren and I took them down and made a boatload of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs!" Nora exclaims.
Ren sighs. "She's been having this recurring dream for nearly a month now."
Weiss eyes Sapphires lunch. "Profes- I mean Sapphire?"
"Yes?" Sapphire asks.
"About your lunch." Weiss says. "How exactly did you get a Caprese Salad, Seafood Tartare and Tarte aux Fruits? None of that is on the menu. Not to mention each dish looks like something you would see in a five star restaurant." Weiss looks at Rhexia's, Ruby's and Yang's lunch. "And the four of you are eating the same thing."
Ruby and Yang look sheepish as they try to think of an excuse.
"Oh! About that, when I was away for three years, I met a chef who had just started working in a Bistro." Sapphire says. "I always loved cooking, so the chef put in a good word for me. Next thing I knew, I was working part time along with a friend of mine." Sapphire sheepishly rubs the back of her head. "Guess I couldn't help myself and made our lunches. Heheh."
Weiss raises an eyebrow. "Exactly what can you cook?"
"Well, besides mom's home-made cookies, lot's of things." Sapphire says. "I could give you a list if you want."
"Sapph's an awesome cook." Yang says. She then takes a bite of her Tarte aux Fruits. "I don't normally go for all this fancy stuff, but this is delicious."
Nora raises an eyebrow in skepticism. She then takes a bite of Rhexia's Tarte aux Fruits. Much to the ravenette's ire. Next thing Nora knew, she was in heaven. Absolute heaven!
"Is this what heaven taste like?" Nora asks with a dream-like expression. She then snaps out of it and lunges for Rhexia dessert. "More! Mama wants MORE!"
Rhexia holds Nora back with her hand while guarding her dessert. "H-hey! Back off! Get your own!"
Pyrrha looks at Jaune, seeing her partner deep in his own thoughts.
"Jaune? Are you alright?" Pyrrha asks with concern.
Jaune snaps out of his funk. "Huh? Oh, yeah! Why?"
Rhexia deadpans. "Jaune, we're not buying it."
Jaune looks around to see everyone giving him a look that says "Not falling for it." He then slumps.
"Am I that obvious?" Jaune asks with a sigh.
"I'm sorry if I seemed rough in class, Jaune." Sapphire says as she hands Nora her dessert. Which the hyperactive ginger accepts gleefully. "But you should be better than this. Honesty, it's like your a beginner."
Jaune rubs the back of his head as he gulps nervously.
"This is about Cardin, isn't it?" Pyrrha asks. "He's been bullying you since the first week of school."
"It's true." Rhexia says. "Sapph and I have been handing out detentions to him and his team like candy."
"Candy? Where?!" Nora asks as she looks around with a wild look in her eyes.
"Not to mention the borderline sexual harassments." Sapphire says with narrowed eyes. "If Cardin actually touched us, then he would've been expelled by now."
"And the racism." Blake says with a frown.
"Ow! That hurts!"
The two teams and student teachers turn in the direction of the person who yelled. There they see a sight that makes them seeth with anger. Velvet Scarlatina having her rabbit ears pulled by Cardin while his team laughs at the Faunus' plight.
"Please, stop..." Velvet pleads.
"Told you they were real!" Cardin says with a laugh.
"What a freak!" Russel says with his teammates laughing along with him.
"CARDIN!"
Team CRDL, along with the entire cafeteria quiets down as they turn to Sapphire, whose glare looks as if it could turn people to stone.
Sapphire slowly rises out of her seat. "Let. Her. Go."
The rest of team CRDL slowly back away from their leader.
"Or what?" Cardin asks with a sneer. "Why do you even care?"
"Faunus are just as much human as the rest of us." Sapphire says calmly. "How would you feel if a friend of yours was being picked on because they're a Faunus?"
Cardin scoffs. "Like I'd have some freak for a friend. Faunus are nothing but animals that deserve to be locked up."
Many of the Faunus' students in the cafeteria glare at Cardin. Blake, for some reason, clinches her fists as her bow twitches.
"The only animal I see here is you." Sapphire says with a frown.
Cardin's eyes widen in shock before narrow dangerously at Sapphire's words.
"...What?" Cardin asks with an edge in his voice.
Unintimated by Cardin's tone, Sapphire calmly marches towards him.
"I've seen your type." Sapphire says. "You bully others because you're either afraid of them, or becuase you feel inferior to them. Now, I won't asks again. Let Velvet go."
Cardin seethes at Sapphire words. "Or what? You'll make me? You think just because you fought Nikos to a draw that you're tough? That was a fluke. Everyone knows you Huntresses are nothing but wh-"
Sapphires eyes narrow dangerously along with the females in the cafeteria.
"So, not only are you a racist, you're a sexist pig too?" Sapphire asks. She then shakes her head in disappointment. "It's a wonder how you got into Beacon in the first place. You act tough, but it's only to distract people from what you really are. A sad, lonely little man with no true friends. Someone so afraid of being looked down on that he has to bully others to make himself look better."
Silence. No one dared to speak after Sapphire verbally tore into Cardin. For a certain busty blonde and a hyperactive ginger, the two stood slack jawed before grinning from ear to ear.
"BURN, BITCH!" Yang and Nora cheer.
With the two girls words, the rest of the cafeteria erupts with laughter. All at one single person. Said person looked around as the entire cafeteria laughs at him. His teammates looking on slack jawed. Seeing this, Cardin's eyes snap back at Sapphire. Enraged by the girls words, Cardin let's go of Velvet's ear before moving to strike Sapphire in the face. Just before his fist can connect, it stops mid punch as Cardin's body is engulfed in a purple aura. Noticing the familiar color, the student turn to the cafeteria doors. Where Professor Goodwitch, with her riding crop outstretched, Professor Port and Prof- Doctor Oobleck stand with frowns.
"Trying to strike a teachers aid outside of combat practice, Mr. Winchester?" Glynda asks while narrowing her eyes.
Glynda releases Cardin from her Semblance as Velvet quickly moves behind Sapphire. The rest of team CRDL pale as they realize the professors, and doctor saw everything.
"But she-!" Cardin exclaims.
"Enough!" Glynda sternly interrupts. "You and your team have been nothing but trouble since day one. Multiple detentions, deplorable attitude and now this. You've crossed the line. You and your team are hereby expelled from Beacon Academy."
Cardin's eyes widen with shock along with his teammates.
"You can't-!" Cardin exclaims in outrage.
"I just did." Glynda interrupts. "Now, you can either pack your things willingly or be escorted out."
"Don't make this harder on yourself Mr. Winchester." Professor Port says.
"Quite." Doctor Oobleck says.
Cardin looks around, seeing no way out for him. He then turns his attention back to Sapphire, who stares impassively at him. Cardin grits his teeth.
"This is all your fault!" Cardin snarls.
To Sapphire and Rhexia's shock, a black fog begins to cover Cardin's body.
"Oh no!" Rhexia says with wide eyes.
The Faunus in the cafeteria take a few steps back. Their senses telling them something dangerous is on the way.
"No..." Sapphire says as she backs up with Velvet. She then looks towards the professors. "Professors, get the students out of here!" Sapphire glances at Velvet. "Velvet, go with them."
Velvet nods and runs out the cafeteria with the students. The only ones who stayed behind were teams RWBY, JNPR and professor Goodwitch.
"Everyone, out!" Rhexia says as the students quickly leave.
Sapphire turns her attention to Cardin as his team stands in confusion and slight fear.
"Cardin, you need to calm down." Sapphire says in a placid tone.
"Shut up!" Cardin exclaims as his eyes flash yellow. "Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!"
The darkness surrounding Cardin begins to intensify. Unfortunately sucking Russel, Dove and Sky into it. The three boys give a shriek of terror as a black sphere engulfs Cardin. Suddenly, the cafeteria becomes dark an ominous.
"Light dang it!" Sapphire says.
"What happened to team CRDL?" Glynda asks.
"Sis, is this...?" Ruby asks hesitantly.
"The darkness took them." Rhexia says grimly. "Cardin's darkness caused him to turn into a Heartless, taking his teammates with him."
Glynda's eyes widen as those without knowledge of the Heartless look on in confusion.
"A Heartless?" Weiss asks.
Ren closes his eyes. "I'm sensing something dark and sinister emitting from that sphere." Ren opens his eyes. "It feels similar to those creatures that attacked us during the initiation."
"You mean Cardin and his team became one of those monsters?" Blake asks.
"Damn it." Yang mutters. "Sapph, Rhexia, what are we gonna do?"
Sapphire and Rhexia grit their teeth as the watch the black sphere. After a few seconds, the sphere pulsates, followed by a harsh wind. Causing the heroes to shield their eyes.
"Here it comes!" Rhexia says.
Sapphire looks towards Glynda and the students. "Professor, lock down the cafeteria! We can't let it get out! The rest of you, stay back! We'll handle this!"
"Already done." Glynda says with a curt nod. "Are you sure you two can manage?"
Sapphire and Rhexia respond with a nod before summoning their Keyblades and activating their Aura. Taking those who don't know the truth about the weapons by surprise.
"Whoa, how did their weapons just appear like that?" Nora asks.
"A Semblance?" Pyrrha asks.
"Can't be." Weiss denies. "Both of them have speed Semblances."
"You know we have a lot of explaining to do when this is over." Rhexia says as she glances at Sapphire.
"Later!" Sapphire says, focus solely on the black sphere.
The black sphere pulsates again before a black paw tipped with red claws appears from within it. Followed by another paw of the same design. The black begins to evaporate, revealing the Heartless in it's entirely.
The Heartless was a sight to behold. The beast has black skin and four heads, with one acting as a tail. The main head looks similar to a lion while the left and right heads are a goat and a dragon respectively. The horns of the goat and dragon heads are faded purple in color. The tail was that of a snake while the head having the same faded purple color. It also has black dragon wings, an orange mane, yellow eyes and a heart-shaped hole in its chest. This Heartless is called Dark Chimera.
The Heartless gives a loud roar as the heroes take in it's appearance.

"That thing... is CRDL?!" Jaune asks in shock.
"Students, things are about to get dangerous." Glynda says. She then uses her Semblance to make a makeshift wall out of the tables. "We should take cover."
Glynda, JNPR, Weiss and Blake run behind the makeshift wall while Ruby and Yang lag behind. As they stare at their sisters, Ruby and Yang clench their fists. Feeling powerless to help. After a few seconds, Ruby and Yang join the rest of their group behind the tables.
"Ready?" Rhexia asks.
"Let's go." Sapphire says.
Dark Chimera crouches low before roaring. The two Keyblade wielders take their stances as their fight begins.
Sapphire makes the first move as she dashes forward, with Rhexia following behind her. Dark Chimera swings it's snake headed tail at the two wielders who dodge by jumping over it. Sapphire summersaults over the Heartless before quickly shooting a Firaga at it. The Chimera doesn't even turn around as the snake tail bats the fireball away.
As Sapphire lands on the ground, Rhexia dashes forward while using Shadowbreaker. The Heartless stumbles backwards, giving Sapphire an opening to hit it with a quick Wishing Edge. The Chimera jumps back before lunging at the two wielders. Sapphire and Rhexia dodge to the side as the Heartless comes sailing past them. The two wielders hit the Heartless with a Firaga, but it doesn't do much damage.
"Doesn't look like fire is effective on it." Rhexia says.
The Chimera turns towards the two wielders. It then rears it's lead head back before unleashing a stream of fire. Sapphire uses her barrier to block the attack.
"Now we know why." Sapphire says.
Seeing it's attack blocked, the Chimera stops it's assault. The dragon head then shoots a ball of electricity before the goat head fires a black ball of energy. Sapphire's barrier goes down as both she and Rhexia avoid the two attack. Sapphire by cartwheeling out of the way while Rhexia dashes away from the attack. Unfortunately, that was the Chimera's plan as the Heartless pounces at the former Nobody. Only for Rhexia to smirk as she pulls of a reversal to get behind the Heartless. Rhexia delivers a strong slash at the Chimera, forcing it back. Before the Heartless can recover, it is bombarded by a few strikes from Sapphire's Keyblade. Courtesy of her Wind Raid attack. Sapphire summons back her Keyblade as Rhexia regroups with her former half.
Meanwhile, Glynda and teams RWBY and JNPR watch the battle in awe.
"They're amazing." Pyrrha says.
"Their skills would definitely put them at the rank of a fully trained huntress." Ren says. "However, I get the feeling that we haven't seen everything yet."
Weiss furrows her eyebrows. She then looks towards Ruby and Yang. "How is it they can use elemental attack without Dust?"
Ruby and Yang look at each other uneasily as they try to think of a way to explain their sisters abilities. Thankfully, Glynda saves them the trouble.
"Ms. Schnee, rest assured." Glynda says. "All your questions will be answered once that creature is dealt with." Glynda narrows her eyes as she watches her two assistants battle the Heartless. "I never expected a Heartless to appear within Beacon. Much less for team CRDL be responsible."
Nora looks towards Glynda with a confused look on her face. "What IS a Heartless? Rhexia said that word before, but what does it mean?"
"Heartless are monsters born from the darkness in a persons heart." Ruby says, gaining everyone's attention. "From what Sapphire told us, they're as dangerous, if not more dangerous than the Grimm."
Jaune pales. "Worse than the Grimm?"
"If they're this dangerous, why haven't we heard about them before?" Blake asks.
"Your guess is as good as ours." Yang says with a shrug. "Anyway, the Heartless are just like the word. They don't have hearts and attack those who do. But what they really want is the light in peoples hearts."
"And Sapphire and Rhexia have fought these things before?" Weiss asks.
"It's kinda their job." Ruby says.
Weiss was about to ask another question before feeling a sudden gust of wind. She, along with the others, turn back to the battle to see the Chimera being pushed back by a tornado. Courtesy of Sapphires Aeroga spell. As the wind dies down, Sapphire and Rhexia go over what they've learned about the Heartless.
"Okay, so far it's strong against fire and lightning." Rhexia says.
"Which leaves us with water, wind and ice." Sapphire says.
Rhexia side glances at Glynda and the others. "You know, they're gonna find out eventually. Maybe it's time to bring out the big guns."
"I know, I was just hoping we could keep things a secret longer." Sapphire says with a frown.
The Dark Chimera looks wary at it's prey. Though the two wielders have been putting up a fight, the Heartless hasn't taken much damage. The Chimera looks on to see Sapphire and Rhexia glancing at Glynda and the others. Seeing an opportunity, the Heartless fires a shadowball at the two wielders. Sapphire guards with a barrier, but the attack was just a distraction as the Chimera leaps over Sapphire and Rhexia before continuing onward. It's targets? Glynda and the others!
"Oh no!" Sapphire and Rhexia exclaim.
Sapphire and Rhexia uses their Semblances to rush towards the Chimera. The two ram into the Heartless, pushing it away from it's intended targets. The Chimera doesn't take this lying down as it swipes it tail at the two wielders. With a yell, Sapphire and Rhexia are flung backwards, landing on the ground. The two rise slowly as a purple haze surrounds them.
"Ugh... I feel sick." Rhexia groans.
"Poison..." Sapphire groans. "Just great... Urp!"
With it's foes preoccupied, the Chimera turns it's attention to Glynda and the others. Seeing the Heartless targeting them, Glynda stands in front of her students with a determined glare. The Heartless takes flight and uses it's wings to create a large gust to knock the deputy headmistress off her feet. Before Glynda can get her bearings, the Chimera knocks her away with it's claws. Thankfully, Glynda's Aura took the hit. The Heartless then sets it's sights on RWBY and JNPR.
"Uh guys? I don't like the way it's looking at us." Jaune says fearfully.
The Chimera roars before blasting the group with an electroball. Thinking quickly, Weiss blocks the attack with a glyph. However, she is unable to block the shadowball, which blows away the barricade and sends the students scattered on the floor.

Dazed by the Heartless' attack, the students groan as they try to stand. Ruby is the first to get her bearings as she shakes her head. She looks up... just in time to see the Chimera about to attack her with it's claws. Sapphire and Rhexia, who have recovered from the Heartless' poison thanks to some Panacea, look on to see their sister in danger.
"RUBY!" Sapphire exclaims in horror.
Ruby closes her eyes and holds up her hand in defense. Time seems to slow down as the Chimera's claw inches towards Ruby. Just before it can make contact, a blinding light appears between Ruby and the Heartless. Everyone shields their eyes from the blinding light. Suddenly, a pain filled yowl rings out as the Heartless is sent crashing on the ground. The light then dies down, allowing everyone to see again. Ruby opens her eyes and gasp as she finds herself holding a Keyblade!
Ruby's Keyblade has a sky-blue handguard. Rose vines are also present on the handguard, with flowers appearing on the rainguard and bottom. The rose vine on the blade has also engulfed the blade, with four roses on the blade. The Keychain is also a rose vine, with a leaf on the rose flower. This is the Divine Rose Keyblade. *Union X fourth upgrade version*
"What the...?" Jaune asks in confusion.
"Where'd that come from?" Nora asks.
"It looks similar to Sapphire and Rhexia's weapons." Pyrrha says.
Sapphire stares at Ruby for a moment before grinning. "She did it! She's got her Keyblade!"
"Way to go, Rubes!" Yang says with a grin.
Weiss looks at Ruby's Keyblade and raises an eyebrow. "Keyblade?"
Blake looks at Ruby's weapon with narrowed eyes. "So, that's a Keyblade."
Ruby marvels at her Keyblade. After a few seconds, the young girl grins before joyfully jumps into the air.
"I did it!" Ruby exclaims. "This is amazing!"
Ruby is taken out of her revere by a sudden growl. She looks forward to see the Chimera getting back up. The Heartless roars before lunging at the red themed girl. However...
"Blizzaga!"
The Heartless is knocked away from Ruby, courtesy of a well timed ice spell. Ruby looks to see Sapphire with her Keyblade outstretched and some frost vanishing from at the tip. Sapphire and Rhexia then move to stand in front of Ruby and the others. Sapphire then cast a Curaga on herself, Rhexia and Ruby, restoring their strength. The Chimera shakes it's head to clear it's dazed state before growling at Sapphire.

"Looks like round two." Rhexia says.
Sapphire looks back at Ruby. "Ruby?"
"Y-yeah?" Ruby asks.
Sapphire smiles. "Time for some on the job training."
Ruby gasps in surprise. She then replaces her surprised look with a grin. "Right."
Ruby moves to stand with the veteran Keyblade wielders. The three nod at each other before facing the Heartless as they take their stances. It was time to finish off the Dark Chimera once an for all.
"Remember, Ruby." Sapphire says. "The Keyblade is an extension of yourself. Treat it like you're using Crescent Rose."
Ruby nods. "Got it."
The Chimera swipes at the trio with it's claws. The three wielders dodge the attack before jumping over the Heartless' snake headed tail. In mid air, Ruby delivers a quick aerial combo on the Heartless. Sapphire then uses her Tornado Strike attack to juggle the Heartless in the air. The bluenette chains the attack twice.
"One more!" Sapphire exclaims as she sends the Heartless into the air again.
The Chimera lands painfully on it's side before getting back on it's feet. It then launches a shadowball at Sapphire, who blocks with her barrier.
"Back at you!" Sapphire exclaims as she sends a counter blast at the Heartless.
Rhexia dashes forward while unleashing a Shadowbreaker. Ruby then jumps into the air and attacks the Chimera with an overhead strike. Causing the Heartless to come crashing on to the ground. Not giving the Heartless any time to recover, Sapphire and Rhexia nod at each other before using the same maneuver they used on the Sneak Army and Stealth Army during the initiation. The Chimera doesn't take their combined assault lying down as it suddenly roars, producing a shockwave that pushes the three Keyblade wielders away from it.
"I think we made it angry." Ruby says nervously.
A dark aura surrounds the Chimera as it rises into the air. It then flies around the area while unleashing a bombardment of elemental attacks.
"Watch out!" Rhexia exclaims.
The three Keyblade wielders run around the cafeteria to avoid the Heartless' onslaught. Some of the attacks hit their mark, damaging the trio. To avoid the bombardment, Glynda uses her Semblance to surround her and her students in a dome of tables. The stray shots hit the makeshift dome, causing the deputy headmistress to buckle from the strain of maintaining it. Suddenly, Glynda feels the pressure ease up slightly. She looks to her left to see Pyrrha holding her hand out with a dark red aura surrounds it. The headmistress then looks up to see the same aura covering the makeshift shield.
"Your Semblance I take it?" Glynda asks.
Pyrrha nods before redoubling her efforts in maintaining the dome.
After another string of attacks, the Chimera begins to lower itself on to the ground. The dark aura around it vanishing. The Keyblade trio takes a moment to recover from the Heartless' assault. They then look to see the Chimera visibly weakened.
"That last attack drained it's energy." Sapphire says. She then dashes forward with Rhexia and Ruby following her lead. "Rhexia!"
"Ruby!" Rhexia exclaims. "Now!"
"Come on!" Ruby exclaims.
The three Keyblade wielders jump towards the Chimera. Sapphire delivers a slash on the Heartless. With a yell, Rhexia and Ruby follow up with a cross slash. Sapphire, Rhexia and Ruby land on opposite sides of each other as they look back at the Heartless. The Chimera gives a painful yowl as it falls to the ground. Evaporating in a shadowy mist, finally defeated.
{End OST}
The dark and ominous look around the cafeteria vanishes along with the Heartless. Sapphire and Rhexia desummon their Keyblades as the trio regroups.
"Got 'em." Sapphire says with a smile.
"We make a good team." Rhexia says. She then looks at Ruby. "Not bad for your first Heartless, Ruby."
"Thanks." Ruby beams.
Ruby is suddenly grabbed from behind in a hug by Yang.
"That was awesome, Rubes!" Yang says. "I'm so proud of you!"
"Gah!" Ruby exclaims. "Yang, cut it out!"
Yang relents and puts Ruby down. Suddenly, Nora tackles Ruby to the ground.
"That. Was. Awesome!" Nora exclaims as Ruby stands up. She then makes a few gestures. "You were all like "Hah!" And that monster was all "Roar!" And it was SO cool!"
"Yes." Glynda says as the other students approach. "Well done you three."
"But..." Nora says. She then snatches Ruby's Keyblade and examines it. Ignoring the red themed girls indignant "Hey!" "What's the deal with this thing? How did it-"
Nora is cut off from her question as the Keyblade disappears in a flash of light and rose petals and reappears in Ruby's hand. Nora looks at her hand before looking back at Ruby's. She repeats this three more times before looking at Ruby dumbfounded. "Say wha?"
Yang chuckles. "Don't take it personally, Nora." Yang then grabs Ruby's Keyblade. Ignoring her little sisters pout. "These things are kinda picky about who holds them."
"I don't see it vanishing from your hand." Weiss says with a raised eyebrow. "Does that mean you can use it?"
Yang scratches the back of her head as she hands the Keyblade back to Ruby, who cuddles it like a plush toy. "Well, I could but it wouldn't be like having my own."
"What exactly was all that?" Blake asks. "Why did CDRL turn into that thing? And how come Ruby can use a weapon that just appeared out of nowhere?"
"Not to mention those elemental attacks." Weiss says with narrowed eyes. "That wasn't Dust." Weiss looks closely at Sapphire and Rhexia. "Who exactly are you two?"
Sapphire and her family look towards one another before looking back at their friends expectant gazes.
Sapphire sighs. "Let's head to Professor Ozpin's office first. It's a long story."
Hours later, Sapphire, Rhexia, Glynda and teams RWBY and JNPR are seen in Ozpin's office. The headmaster had been watching the battle with the Heartless and knew his student would have questions. Ozpin and Sapphire had come clean about everything. The Heartless, other worlds, the Keyblade and Sapphires adventures with Sora and the others. The news was shocking to say the least. The fact that there are other things besides the Grimm to worry about? If Weiss, Blake and JNPR hadn't seen everything first hand, they would've found it hard to believe.
"So, you were in other worlds fighting monsters for three years?" Nora asks.
"I find it hard to believe that magic actually exist." Weiss says skeptically. "But with everything we saw..."
"Believe me, I know it's a lot to take in." Sapphire says. She then rubs the back of her head. "This is the second time I've had to break the world order rule. I really hope I don't get in trouble for this."
Pyrrha looks at the professors. "Professors, you knew about all this?"
"Actually, Glynda is as new to all this as you all are." Ozpin says as he gestures to the headmistress. "Me on the other hand... Well, let's just say that I've been around long enough to see that some legends are true."
"But what about team CDRL?" Ren asks. "What happened to them?"
The mood becomes solemn as Sapphire, her family and the two professors look down.
"I'm afraid that when Mr. Winchester succumb to the darkness in his heart and became a Heartless, he might as well be considered KIA. Along with his team."
Jaune looks at the headmaster in horror. "You mean...?"
"...Well, it's not exactly definite." Rhexia says hesitantly.
"Remember are talk about Nobodies?" Sapphire asks. "If Cardin was able to create that strong of a Heartless, there's bound to be a Nobody out there somewhere. If his Nobody is defeated, there's a chance he and his team can be recompleted."
"You mean there's another Cardin out there?" Nora asks.
"I doubt it." Rhexia says. "His Nobody's probably one of the weaker ones."
Pyrrha looks at Sapphire. "Still, to think your what can be considered a full trained huntress at such a young age. No wonder you are so strong."
Sapphire rubs the back of her head in embarrassment.
Ozpin clears his throat. Gaining everyone's attention. "Now then, I believe we are done here." Ozpin looks at Sapphire. "Sapphire, I believe it would be wise to include a course on the Heartless for the students during combat classes. I've already spoken about it with Glynda and she agrees."
Glynda nods. "Now then, you should all head to bed. You have classes in the morning."
Later that night, Jaune is seen on the roof of the academy. After Sapphires explanation, Jaune had asked the bluenette to meet with him. The blond wrings his hands nervously as he waits for Sapphire. After a few seconds, the door to the roof opens. Jaune jumps slightly as he turns to the door. Seeing Sapphire approach.
"You wanted to see me, Jaune?" Sapphire asks.
"Y-yeah." Jaune says looking down.
Sapphire tilts her head in confusion. "So... What's up?"
Jaune closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. He then opens his eyes and looks at Sapphire.
"...I lied." Jaune says after a pause.
Sapphire raises an eyebrow. "About...?"
"You've seen how I was in combat class." Jaune says before turning around. "The reason I suck... is because I don't belong in Beacon. I... faked my transcripts."
Sapphire stays silent as she looks at Jaune. After a few moments, she speaks.
"I know." Sapphire says.
Jaune quickly turns around in shock and confusion. "Y-you know?!"
"I asked Ozpin about you after the whole CDRL thing." Sapphire says with a shrug.
"Wait, Professor Ozpin KNOWS?!" Jaune exclaims in shock.
"Of course he does." Sapphire says. "He is the headmaster of Beacon." Sapphire glances to the side as she mutters. "He seems to know everything."
Jaune slumps with a sigh. "So, am I expelled?"
"Why would you think that?" Sapphire asks. Jaune looks as though he's about to say something but Sapphire stops him. "Look, you might have faked your transcripts, but answer this. Why would Ozpin allow to have you stay here if he already knew?"
Jaune tries to think of a reason, but shakes his head when he ultimately couldn't think of anything.
"It's because he saw potential in you." Sapphire says with a smile. "It takes more than brawn to be a huntsman. I saw how your team took down that Deathstalker during the initiation. Without your quick thinking... I don't even wanna know what would've happened."
Jaune looks down as he contemplates Sapphires words. He then feels a hand on his shoulder. He looks up to see Sapphire smiling at him.
"Let me tell you something someone once told me." Sapphire says. "A true hero is measured by the strength of his heart. Believe in yourself. You'll get there."
Jaune looks as Sapphire let's go of him and walks back to the door.
"Oh, you should probably tell your team about this." Sapphire says without looking back. "I'm sure they'd love to help. And not many people can say that they were trained by THE Pyrrha Nikos. Good night, Jaune."
Sapphire closes the door behind her. Leaving Jaune to think about his friends words.
"A true hero is measured by the strength of his heart." Jaune quotes as he unconsciously places a hand on his chest.
After a few moments, Jaune looks off into the night with a small smile on his face. Unknown to both him and Sapphire, Pyrrha heard their conversation while hiding in the shadows. The redhead looks at Jaune with a smile.
Jaune jumps slightly with a gasps as he wakes up. Sweat running down his face as he looks around frantically.
His actions cause Pyrrha to wake form her slumber. She rubs her eyes as she looks at her partner in concern.
"Jaune?" Pyrrha asks. "Is everything alright?"
"Uh, y-yeah Pyrrha." Jaune stutters. "J-just a bad dream. Sorry I woke you."
"It's okay." Pyrrha says with a small smile. That smile then drops. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yeah." Jaune says as he get's out of bed. "I'm just gonna splash some water on my face. You should get some sleep."
"...Okay." Pyrrha says reluctantly. She then watches as Jaune goes into the bathroom before going back to sleep.
As Jaune splashes some water on his face, he then dries himself with a towel. The blonde rookie then looks at his reflection. After a moment, Jaune hangs his towel up before opening the bathroom door.
"Gezz." Jaune says. "Talk about a nightmare. After everything that happened today, it's no wonder that I'm seeing Heartless in my dreams."
And done!
So, recap. Sapphire and Rhexia are getting use to school life. CDRL were more of an ass than they were in the cannon storyline Sapphire and Pyrrha have their spar, ending in a draw. Cardin becomes a Heartless, dragging his team down with him, Ruby finally got her Keyblade, Sapphire and Rhexia explain things to Weiss, Blake and JNPR, Jaune reveals that he cheated his way into Beacon and said blond has been having weird dreams.
Sorry, if this chapter seems rushed. I just really wanted to get this one out of the way. And I basically skipped over Weiss' episode. I'm gonna focus on this story until I get to the volume 1 finale. So, expect two more updates.
Also, I wanted to point this out. Sapphire's combat stance is based on KH2 Riku's, Rhexia's is based on Akame's from Akame ga Kill and Ruby's when using her Keyblade is based on Clouds from Smash Bros.
We FINALLY have a trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4!
See you next time. Ja nee!
