Diana was walking steadily by the outskirts of the manor holding with her nice red tank top and jeans. She had been visiting Bruce more so than usual now that calling it a daily occurrence would be grave understatement
She waltzed her way right at the gate as she pushed the doorbell, it's not like Bruce is restricting her of entry but she knew that she had to be polite with manners, especially with Alfred watching them
A minute passed and there was no answer whatsoever. This caused a major confusion to Diana whether they were home or not and so she made her way in
She took the entry from the batcave which has a harder access than the main entrance but she had observed Bruce far enough to know what to do
Diana carefully lifted a large chunk of bushel, which is actually fake, that was covering a small door that leads underground
She slowly opened the door which caused a lot of bats to come out immediately. A smile formed unto her lips upon seeing this.
This only means that Bruce was indeed home.
And so she slid right in with her arms tucked in and legs to each other. Diana was now being pulled by the gravity as she was falling down deep unto the ground.
She let out a series of yells as her hair was dangling on the tube that she was currently kept upon
Upon almost reaching the ground, she immediately braced for the impact and held her breath as a sudden splash of water reached her face which later enveloped her whole body.
Diana immediately swam to the surface upon realizing she was now underwater as she wiggled her legs to boost her up
A big splash of water scattered all over the place as she submerged. It had been quite a while since she had used this entrance after all
She slowly walked to the compartment with her clothes all wet. A folded towel came unto her view as she stumbled upon the small drawer with a note that has the letter D in it
Without hesitation, she took the towel and dried herself with it, from her hair to her toe
She then made her way on the batcave mesmerizing certain clues on wherever could they be.
"Bruce would be right there in his small training place doing some bodyweight exercises by now and he would cast me an annoyed glare which would cause me to chuckle a little bit" she thought to herself
"But for some strange reason, the batcave seems all quiet. It's not like Bruce to be a morning person knowing his lifestyle when the sun hits the brink"
She then shifted her attention to the batcomputer which was surprisingly turned off. It was such a rare sight seeing the batcomputer all turned off
And so Diana sat on the chair and pressed a key on the keyboard which instantly turned it on
"Welcome Miss Diana" The batcomputer spoke in its usual quite feminine voice
It always amazes her how such a computer can identify who's who. It was like it can process information without actually being present
Perhaps the batcomputer had gotten used of her being there to the point that it had taken a whole lot of information about her by now.
That would explain how the batcomputer has all the information about Diana despite not actually providing it herself firsthand
"Either ways, It doesn't really matter in the long run" Diana muttered as she stood up to her feet to continue the search
xXx
"Donna!?"
Diana yelled in shock after seeing her sister sitting in the living room watching cartoon on the television
She immediately made her way to her when suddenly she spotted a figure sitting with her sister
It was no other than Bruce himself.
Donna was watching the show with a big smile on her face as Bruce did the same also. She didn't know Bruce watched cartoons also
Diana's lips formed into a full smile upon realizing this as she waltzed her way to the couch.
She wanted to surprise them from behind to see their reaction and so she sneaked quietly, trying not to make a sound
And when it was finally time
"Yaaah!"
Diana spurted in front of them with an intentional scary expression on her face to surprise them, but for some strange reason they didn't even react even a little bit
They were still watching the television as if Diana wasn't even there in the first place
Donna took a piece of popcorn as she slowly munched it with her mouth
"I really like this show, Bruce. We didn't have things like this back in Themyscira"
Bruce nodded as he also took a popcorn
"I liked this show as a kid too" he responded as he slowly munched the popcorn
The morning was nice with a calm and wonderful atmosphere with the two of them in the couch eating popcorn and watching the television reverently, they were having a good time basically
Except for a certain Amazon in front of them with a slightly annoyed look on her face
"Helloo? Can you even hear me?" She asked in an irked manner
There was no response whatsoever as the both of them was still watching the show on the television.
Seeing this caused Diana to be even more mad as she rested her hands on her hips
"HELLOOO!" She yelled this time, hoping to catch any of their attention
But like earlier, it failed on doing so
Suddenly, Alfred came into the scene carrying a tray of two glasses of milk unto the two on the couch
Bruce and Donna then took the glasses without hesitation and chugged it in slowly
Alfred gazed at the television, which Diana was currently in front of, and it seemed like he couldn't see her as well
"Aha, I quite remember this cartoon, miss Donna." Alfred stated
Donna turned to him upon hearing his words
"You have watched this show too, Alfred?" Donna asked curiously
Alfred nodded in response
"I was still a runt back then when this show premiered. Those were the days." Alfred uttered
Bruce leaned in closer to Donna as he whispered
"He may seem like an old man now, but even Alfred had a childhood once"
Donna's eyes widened upon hearing this
"Really?"
"Yeah" Bruce responded with a slight chuckle
Diana was watching them closely from the front
She then turned to Alfred who was still carrying the usher board
"Alfred, what's going on here?" Diana asked
Alfred didn't respond whatsoever as he took the empty glass from the table and casted his remarks
"I must be on my chores now, please do enjoy the fine morning" he stated as he walked to the kitchen, completely disregarding Diana's question
A big puff coming from Diana herself almost enveloped the whole atmosphere as her nose was twitching like crazy
She was definitely annoyed at this point
But eventually, she had a great idea on how to react to their silly game
"Oh okay, so that's how you wanna play it…" She uttered slowly
Diana then sat next to Donna on the couch as they were now watching the show together with Bruce on the other side
She slowly reached out for a piece of popcorn on Donna's lap which the little girl didn't even notice at all.
"ohh, I like this show too" Diana began in an enthusiastic manner
"I like when the blue cat catches the…. Brown hamster"
Bruce couldn't help but snort a little bit, this caught Diana's reaction which she immediately pointed at
"Aha, caught you finally Bruce!" She yelled as she stood up to her feet
The young Master didn't respond however though. Bruce and Donna were too engrossed with the show to even notice things
Diana fell back on her seat as she blew another puff of breath which caused her fringes from the front to float. A big pout was painted on her lips as she watched the show silently this time
"That dog is very funny, Bruce!" Donna uttered while giving out a giggle
"I like how the cat is not afraid of him when he's sleeping but when he's awake…"
"When he's awake, the cat gets to experience his wrath right? Ha Ha Ha" Diana interrupted with a laugh
"That's how most cats are, they seem tough at first but fold at the last second" Bruce responded
"You seem to know quite a lot about cats, Bruce" Donna stated curiously
"Do you own one?" Donna asked
"If so, can I see her? I want to see one!"
Bruce shook his head in response as he uttered
"Not really, but I see cats sometimes on patrol"
Diana rolled her eyes hearing this as a quick jolt of jealousy struck her. She knew what he was pertaining to with that statement and it irked her to ends
Moments later, the show finally ends as Bruce and Donna stood up from the chair and stretched their back
Diana did the same, hoping finally it would be the end of their silly game
"Wanna go play football, Donna?" Bruce asked
Donna's eyes narrowed into a full squint that indicated confusion, as did Diana
"What's a football?" Both Amazons uttered at the same time
Bruce couldn't help but hold out another snort upon witnessing that which Diana didn't like very much
"Anyways, football is a game where you catch and throw a ball" He explained
The little girl's eyes widened of delight upon hearing his explanation of football
"Sounds fun!" Donna responded in amusement
Diana did the same as her hands shivered of excitement. They used to have a similar sport in Themyscira which she hasn't quite played in a long time
She definitely is excited to play this "Football" game
"Alright, let's go outside Donna" Bruce uttered
xXx
"Come on, pass me the ball!"
Diana yelled as she was trying to catch the ball flying into the air. Bruce and Donna, the little Amazon, was playing freely in the Manor's garden without a care in the world at all
And that included a certain Amazon being excluded in their fun.
"Here goes" Bruce uttered as he threw the football to Donna's direction
The little Amazon took a few steps back before catching the football without any struggle at all.
"Alright, my turn!" she yelled out as she threw the ball to Bruce so hard that it seemed like a bullet coming right at him
Bruce wasn't expecting such hit as it literally hit him on the face that struck him to the ground. This caused a major panic unto Diana as she literally ran to Bruce
"Hera, Bruce!" Diana yelled out in concern
"Are you okay?"
Diana was worried all over as she offered her hand which Bruce declined, as if he didn't see her
Donna then came to the scene with a very apologetic look on her face
"I'm very sorry, Bruce." She mumbled slowly
"It's alright" Bruce responded with a smile
"help me up"
And so the young Amazon offered Bruce a hand which he took to stand up
Diana watched them closely as a prick of loneliness came unto her. It was like Bruce was completely disregarding her existence
It was as if she didn't matter at all.
And so the two resumed their game with Diana watching from a distance.
Bruce threw the ball to Donna which yet again, she catched with ease
"Should I hold back?" Donna yelled
"No, do it again" Bruce yelled in response
"But what if I hit you again?"
"That's the point!" He responded in a scream
And so, Donna pitched her arm as she threw it as strong as she could.
The ball went cursive into the air in a split second and if not for Bruce's peak reflexes, he would've been hit by the speeding bullet that was coming right at him but he managed to dodge at the last second, leaving the ball flying at the veranda instead which broke a window
Bruce watched as a certain British butler came unto the scene with a surprised expression
"Good heavens, what on earth happened here!" Alfred ranted
"now I have to go out and buy some replacements"
"Sorry…"
A certain voice caught Bruce off guard as Donna was now standing beside him
"Don't worry about it"
At the other hand, a certain Amazon is cracking up all over witnessing the scene. With Bruce's guilty face and Alfred throwing a fit, it was indeed a sight to see as she lets out a series of laughter
Diana then noticed the ball lying on the ground which she immediately took
"Hey, I got the ball now!" Diana yelled out to the two
"Ehh, did you hear something?" Bruce asked
"Nope." Donna responded
"Anyways, wanna go inside and eat cereal" Bruce suggested
"I bet you're hungry after that"
"That sounds great!" Donna responded
"But what's a cereal?"
"Hah, I'm tired of explaining. Try it for yourself" Bruce stated
"Anyways, let's go inside now"
Hearing this caused a cloud of anger inside Diana as her nose was twitching all over again
"I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME YOU JERK!" she yelled out in anger
However the two didn't respond
"You failed to hit me that time" Bruce jested with a smirk
"I didn't know I was supposed to, but next time I will" Donna responded with a smile
All of a sudden, Bruce was hit with a ball on her back out of nowhere which caused Bruce to fall to the ground again.
They definitely didn't know who threw that ball despite a raging Amazon behind them with her hands rested on her hips
Donna couldn't help but giggle seeing this with Bruce literally facing the grass.
"You had to be cocky, Bruce Wayne…" Bruce thought to himself
xXx
"This is a cereal"
Bruce uttered as he presented a bowl unto Donna's side which made her smile to ends
"It looks colorful!" she yelled out in amusement
"Of course it does" Bruce responded
"Where's mine!?" Diana interrupted
For some reason, she was still getting ignored all over despite sitting close next to them. She didn't really have breakfast and so the sight of Donna's bowl is making her hungry on spot
"Bruce!"
Diana yelled out again which garnered no response from him yet again
Upon realizing that Bruce is never gonna budge, she then turned to her sister who was eating her cereal quietly
"Donna, you can hear me right?" Diana pleaded
No response from her sister neither
Diana was about to lose her mind with this specific day. She wanted to spend time with Bruce and her sister and they are treating her like this
Like she was invisible or something
"Donna, wanna go to the park afterwards" Bruce asked as he stood up from his seat
"I would love that!" Donna responded as she finished her bowl immediately
Diana was heartbroken upon watching this
"Donna!" Diana cried out
"You didn't even leave some for meee…"
And again Donna seemingly ignored her sister as she stood up and followed Bruce to the door. Diana was all alone now on the kitchen with no one to talk to.
She felt irrelevant the whole day, as if she didn't matter. They were doing so fine without her and it felt like her presence isn't even that important
To him specifically…
She comes over to see him every day and he would always either be grumpy or annoyed with her being there and she took it as a joke at first
But seeing as it is now, he was doing so much better when she seemed invisible to him…
All of a sudden, tears started to form on her eyes as she covered her face with her palms with no one around to see her cry
Or at least that's what she thought
A very guilty Bruce Wayne was watching her from the door. He didn't want it to go this far, especially her getting all affected like this
And so he decided to break it off as he walked towards her
"Diana…"
"Go away, Bruce!" Diana spurted as she turned to the other direction to hide her face
"Please just hear me out.."
Bruce uttered as he reached out for Diana's shoulder
"I know Bruce; you just don't want me here. I understand" she retorted while holding back a sniffle
"You seem happy when I wasn't around, or when it seemed like it to you"
"Diana, please"
Bruce pleaded as he held both of her shoulders
"It was just a prank" He stated with a hurtful smile on his face
Diana was stunned there for a moment, not quite getting what was going on
"What do you mean?" she asked while sniffling yet again
"It's for April Fools' Day, and we planned it first hand" Bruce responded as he stepped aside revealing Donna behind him also crying
The little Amazon didn't hesitate as she crashed unto Diana's arms whom missed her sister very so
"I feel terrible sister, I'm very sorry!" Donna bawled as she was hugging her sister tightly
Diana returned the embrace as she wrapped her arms around her little sister for comfort. She could never be mad at her little sister for such a silly prank
The same could not be spared for Bruce however
Diana then opened her eyes and glared at Bruce who was watching them from a distance
Bruce nodded slightly as the guilt coming up to him had returned
Diana raised her eyebrow in response without even uttering a single word, but for Bruce, this action alone speaks a whole lot
He was too engrossed with Diana to notice a certain boy beside him
"What's going on, Bruce?"
He turned to his side and noticed Dick in his soccer attire.
"Don't you think it's way too early for you to be home?" Bruce asked
"They cancelled the tournament. It turns out I was too good for competition" Dick responded in an arrogant manner
"Yeah right.." Bruce responded
"Anyways, Alfred told me he would be out for the day for replacements of the window that Donna broke or something" Dick stated
"Did something big happen earlier?"
"Not quite, we were just playing football when that happened"
Dick was stunned there upon hearing him
"You played football without me!?"
His loud voice caught Diana and her sister's attention.
"Oh, it's you Richie" Donna stated as she went to him
Bruce and Diana immediately looked at each other upon hearing that
"Richie?" Diana repeated
He instantly turned to Diana with an agitated expression
"Look, it's not what it looks like" Dick immediately responded
Bruce snorted in response as he glanced back at Diana who was laughing with her
He felt at ease knowing she is in good spirits now. He never intended to hurt Diana whatsoever with the prank
"It's all because of Alfred's stupid April Fools tradition that I had to go through this" Bruce thought to himself
"Well at least it's all over now…"
"Oh yeah, Donna and I are going to the park today for some ice cream" Dick suddenly uttered
"We are?" Donna asked
Dick immediately shushed her as Bruce and Diana looked at them
He flashed them a toothy grin as he took Donna's arm and led her outside of the Manor. They made their way to the field as Dick halted all of a sudden
"We'll be back after dark" Dick yelled
"Enjoy the date, err I mean the day!"
And they went on with their "ice cream"
Bruce and Diana were all alone now in the Manor as everything happened so quickly that he didn't even have any say in it
However Bruce was definitely suspicious about the whole setting with how things played out…
He then turned his attention back to Diana who was sitting nervously on the table. She was avoiding his gaze for some reason
The mood between them was so awkward that it could cut like a knife
Bruce heaved out a sigh as he went to the kitchen
"What would you like for breakfast, Diana?" he called out
Diana was happy when she hears this, she had been very hungry since earlier
"Anything will do, Bruce" She responded in a sweet tone this time
There were a few seconds of awkward silence before Bruce broke the ice
"I'm sorry about what happened, Diana. I didn't know things will go on like that" He responded
A sudden flush of warmth came to Diana's face upon hearing this. She felt relieved for some reason
"It's alright" Diana responded
"I completely understand"
"But you were wrong about something" Bruce uttered out of nowhere
Diana grew confused over this
"I was?" she repeated
"When you said your presence wasn't important" Bruce stated
"I know I may be grumpy at times but never did I saw your presence as a nuisance. You may be annoying at times but it is only a fraction compared to the joy you give to the manor everyday"
"And to me…"
It definitely wasn't easy for Bruce to open up, but he had to clarify what she meant to him no matter what
A quick silence then engulfed the whole manor as the response that Bruce was expecting didn't seem to reach
"Diana?"
He called out for her name again but there was no response
It was as if he was being ignored
"Great, now karma is coming up to me" he thought to himself.
"Good going Bruce Wayne"
His mind was indulged with the thoughts of their situation while preparing for her breakfast
On the other hand, a certain Amazon is too flustered to even speak upon hearing what Bruce just said to her
Her heartbeat is all over the place which corresponds to her face as red as a tomato
The day that started off as terrible might have a sweet ending after all.
And they are gonna be alone in the Manor for the rest of the day
Thinking about it made her giggle in excitement
Suddenly, she noticed a wonderful aroma from the table. She then opened her eyes and noticed a set of blueberry pancakes poured by a nice wave of syrup
A big smile came to her lips as she turned to Bruce sitting across the long table
"I hope this is enough to make it up…"
The table was too long for them to even see each other as Diana sat closer to him to see his face closely
She then lifted his head up to meet him in his eyes. Diana then beamed him a sweet smile as she sliced a portion of the pancake to her mouth which tasted so good to her
"If this is your way of apology Bruce, then consider yourself forgiven" She teased while munching the pancake
Bruce smiled in response watching her, as he noticed a drop of syrup on her lower lip
An urge came to Bruce which made him lean a little bit, an urge that is so dangerous to even fantasize of
"I bet that syrup would taste so sweet…" he thought to himself
But wouldn't that be a ki…"
"Bruce" Diana uttered all of a sudden
"Here, have some"
She presented a fork of pancake near his mouth with a smile on her lips
"Oh no no, I'm fi—"
Diana took this chance as she stuffed her fork unto his mouth
She giggled in addition watching Bruce's cheeks get full from the pancake, he resembled a hamster
"This is your payback, isn't it?" Bruce asked
"I don't know what you are talking about…" Diana playfully responded while looking away
Bruce couldn't help but chuckle with how things turned out. Diana and himself alone in the manor, eating with each other in this nice morning
Someone is definitely pulling some strings but he didn't care anymore
Diana's presence is more than enough for him to enjoy the day.
"You want another mouthful?" Diana playfully teased as she held up another fork of pancake
"Hah, you wi…" Bruce uttered as she was silenced immediately as Diana yet again stuffed her fork unto his mouth
"Hey, stop that!"
"Make me" Diana responded with a giggle
An idea came unto Bruce's mind upon hearing this
"Later you and me, football" he suggested
"ooh, Mr. Wayne is feeling feisty today" Diana teased while munching down a pancake
"You just want to make it up for that ball incident earlier, don't you?"
"How did you know?" Bruce asked
"I'm Batman" Diana imitated in a mocking way
"Alright, that's it princess…"
And the Manor was then engulfed in giggles and laughter as the two were alone together in such an unusual day.
Who would've thought that such an unusual day would bring the two together even closer.
But as for now, the tale of the Bat of Gotham and the Amazon Princess of Themyscira continues on..
The End.

"Are we there yet?"
Dick asked in a very bored manner
It was a long road trip for some reason as Donna and Dick is seated at the back with Alfred driving
"Patience, Master Dick" Alfred responded
Donna was confused all over and had decided to ask them about it
"But I thought you were out for the day, Alfred" she asked
Alfred chuckles slightly upon hearing this
"We are out for the day, young miss. This is our second act in this day of pranks to sire himself" The British butler responded with a smug smile on his face
"Or is it a gift, sire?"
