"Words never been truer till this day"
Bruce thought to himself remembering a certain quote from a book he just finished reading. It was from the book that Diana lent him yesterday.
Currently, he is strolling through the empty streets of Gotham in a slightly rainy morning
He was planning on resting the whole day today, but a certain incident ruined it. Alfred had accidentally sprained his ankle and is limited to any movements whatsoever
The British butler was supposed to buy flowers for the garden at a certain new shop that he had instructed him to. Bruce, of course being the generous ward, had agreed wholeheartedly
"Gotta give the guy a break, he isn't getting any younger"
Upon finally reaching the shop, Bruce noticed the balloons on the outside with lots of colorful flowers decorated near the windows. A scent of all different kinds of floral aroma filled the inside which reached him from the door
He was about to enter the premises, but as he scanned the whole shop – a certain woman caught his eye…
"What is she doing here?"
He thought to himself while turning around. It was a good day indeed to wear a jacket hoodie for it will be very useful to him at his dilemma
There she was, no other than the Amazon princess herself spraying some solutions unto the pots wearing a sky blue apron. It didn't take long before she notices the presence in the shop with her
"Oh I'm sorry, Good Morning!" she greeted with a friendly smile
"Are you interested in some flowers?"
Bruce gnashed his teeth upon hearing this – of all the flower shops in the world, Alfred chose this one…
The realization caught up to him like a speeding missile
"That damn English geezer!"
"May I help you?"
Diana asked slowly as she notices the man fidgeting to himself, today is her first day of the job and so she is still quite inexperienced and naïve about how this whole thing works
"Aha haha, I'm just looking around, don't worry about me at all…" Bruce mumbled nervously as he glances at the flowers
He had his hood all up in his head to hide his face, it would be very ugly if Diana found out about him in the shop. She would probably think he is stalking her or something
For now, he just needs to find the flower that Alfred was requesting for and go on with his way
Bruce turned around slowly, hoping she was now looking at something other than him. And when he did, he finally caught a good view of Diana…
She looked… beautiful
Diana looked lovely in her simple outfit.
A beauty accompanied by the floral theme made Diana even more captivating. Her apron fits well with her eyes and her hair was tied in a very cute updo. She was wearing her amulet that was given to her back in Themyscira
Bruce couldn't help but stare for a few seconds, admiring the wonderful view in front of him despite his hood covering half his vision. It didn't take long before she caught notice of him gawking which Bruce immediately turned away in reflex
"What is wrong with me? As if it wasn't bad enough that I'm right here in the place of her work of all places. Not only am I a stalker… but also a creep…" he pondered to himself
And so, he shook all the thoughts in his mind as he hurried and searched for the flower that was instructed to him. Different vibrant of colors came to his view, all with different names for each.
He looked for the flower instructed, Hydrangea, a certain flower that has a shade that ranges from pink to blue. Alfred sure has eyes for quality blossoms, that's for sure.
His eyes finally catches up to what he was looking for not that long afterwards. There stated in the catalog was the name he was looking for
"Hydrangea – symbol of boastfulness"
The colors look very pretty, it matches well with the weather at that certain day. It would match well with the Manor's windows
Bruce didn't hesitate and carried two large pots in his arm. The flowers look very alluring and all, but a certain person is eventually gonna find out about his gimmick if he stay for long.
Suddenly, a large round of rainfall poured as the crashing sound echoed inside the shop. Bruce sighed to himself realizing he's gonna be wet on the way home
"It won't take a while he said. Don't even bother to bring an umbrella he said…" Bruce slowly mumbles to himself remembering a certain British butler telling him that it won't take long
And so Bruce carried the flowerpots to the counter where Diana was currently in. He hoped to himself that his disguise will hold on till the end, trouble sure will brew once Diana finds out about him.
"It'll be 300 dollars all in all" Diana stated as she opens up the cash register
Bruce shuffles up his wallet to take out 500 dollars
"Here, keep the change" he uttered
"But, store policies insist that changes should be returned" she responded
"The store doesn't have to know…"
"But…"
"Don't worry about it princess" Bruce uttered as he takes puts the wallet back on his pocket
A huge surge of silence occurred when he said that
"princess?" Diana repeated with a confused look on her face
Bruce gasped to himself upon realizing his blunder
"I mean… I saw your nametag right there…" He hesitantly uttered
"It says Diana in my nametag…" she answered slowly, suspicion now lingering in her tone
It didn't take long before her expression turns from friendly to playful. Her eyes squinted into thin lines with a playful smirk dancing on her lips
"I better go now, thanks…" Bruce stated hurriedly as he gripped the pots to himself
He walked straight to the exit without pauses whatsoever–
When suddenly...
"Wait!"
Her voice halted him from behind as he turned to see her holding an umbrella and a receipt
"You forgot your receipt, and here's an umbrella for the rain"
"I don't need the–"
"Just take it!" Diana interrupted sharply
"I insist."
Bruce froze for a mere second, as he reached out to accept the umbrella. Diana had a smile on her face which later turned back into a playful smirk upon watching him leave
The young man was walking the now slippery pathwalks of Gotham with the downpour going on. He glances at the receipt and noticed something peculiar – there was something handwritten in it.
-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
Your stealth doesn't work on me, Bruce. I'll come visit you this afternoon ;)
-Diana
P.S: Thank you for visiting me.

Bruce groaned to himself upon reading this, now a large chunk of information has been added to her teasing database. She definitely will tease him to ends later on with this
But he didn't care that much, he got to see how beautiful she looked in her uniform. Perhaps he might be into flowers now too – especially if he gets to see her every time he visits the shop
The day turned out pretty good to him after all
Bruce was all up in his thoughts that he didn't notice a rock on his shoe – and so – he slipped on his back on the path walk with everyone watching him
"I changed my mind, I hate this day…"

Bruce, all drenched from the rain walked the halls of the manor dripping all over the floor upon doing so. Alfred immediately took notice of this and decided to apprehend the young master while holding back his chuckle
"I assume your morning was nothing short of spectacular sire?" he jested
"I hate you, Alfred."
