Luna was still in her babysitting and it was almost three hours since Eddy's parents are going to be home soon from the hospital. Eddy was enjoying some dinner, which was some Pizza from Don Italiano's Pizza and pasta, which was one of his favorite places in the whole world, next to Spunky Pigeons and Gus' Games N' Grub. He just had pepperoni for his pizza, and Lincoln had his with extra cheese on his own. For Luna, she had a three meat pizza which was: Canadian bacon, sausage, and Pepperoni combined.
Everyone was happy on this cold winter night, and it was just then the parents came back home, and Eddy greeted them with with a big, loving hug. These were exactly the kind of parents a child should have.
Lincoln and his sister watched at how warm and fuzzy this was. Of course, the Loud family has had disagreements, but they all love each other, and they can get through every obstacle that can get in all their ways, no matter what it takes to keep their family happy and in peace. Eddy didn't let go of his parents, and these three were one big happy family together. "Well, that's that." Lincoln said. "It kinda makes me sad that Artie's parents aren't like Eddy's, once you think about it."
"True, Linc. So so true." Luna slightly bowed her head with her eyes closed. "But hey, at least Artie has his aunt and uncle who love him." then she hugged Lincoln again
"Hehe, yeah, that is true as well." Lincoln then felt his big sister let go of him in an instant. "So I think I'm gonna hit the haystack when I get back home." then he let out a small yawn.
The rocker ice girl smiled and she gave him a rub on the back. "Need me to tuck you in?"
The boy was silent for a few seconds, and he made up his mind by saying: "Yeah. I mean, it would be fine, but can you please wait until everyone is asleep?"
Luna smiled again, and rubbed his white hair with a gloveless hand. "No problem. I'll wait until everyone is in their silent lucidity and i'll tuck ya in. Just like old times"
"Yeah. I know."
"Well, thank you for taking care of our little boy." said Mr. Conroy. "Who would have thought the newest superhero of Royal Woods would become such a great babysitter?"
"Ah well," Luna flushed a little. "I just gained ice powers and a new hot look on me. The Luna you know and love has not changed one bit, Mr and Mrs C."
"Well we're glad." said Mrs. Conroy before giving Luna some cash. "Here's a little pay for the trouble as promised."
"It was no trouble. Eddy was safe with me and my little bro."
"Well, i guess you're probably tired right now, Eddy." said the father. "Go on and brush your teeth and we'll tuck you in bed."
"Ok Dad." said the little boy before going upstairs to change into his Pajamas and await bedtime. Luna and Lincoln said by to the Conroys and they went back home to to take it easy for the snowy night. It was almost late in the night, and Luna was suddenly confronted by her own parents.
"Hey 'rents. What's going on?"
"Luna, we need to talk." said Rita. She explained to Luna about how Doug and Michelle came in the house and wanted to apologize to Luna for what they had done, along with Lincoln as well. Luna then made a small frown and remained skeptical. No one could blame her though since those two former-judges were good at hiding their true colors from the public. Rita also explained that they would make her and the family some cake to show them all how sorry they were and that there was no hard feelings in being put in the stoney lonesome after the whole "hostage crisis" thing.
The rocker girl was a little silent in response, and she had her eyes looking down slightly to the right shoulder. At last, after a few seconds, she said: "I don't know about this mom. They could poison the cake and maybe this could be a plan to kill us all in revenge."
"Clyde told me that many people are good at hiding their true colors from other people." Lincoln added. "Maybe this could all be a trap or sabotage."
"Good point." Said Lynn Sr. "But Lisa said that she has something to help us know if they are telling the truth about them wanting to change."
"Affirmative." Lisa said with her right finger pointed up like she was a college teacher. She then pulled out a machine that looked like a walkie-talkie, but it had panels that would detect sounds from a person's voice. "This is my lie detector. This will guarantee to reveal if a person speaking through the panels and or microphone is telling the truth or lying. Not only that, but I also have a thermo-scope to see the chemicals in food. That should tell 7s if it's poisonous or absolutely safe to consume."
"Nice." Luna complimented her. "Way to think ahead, little sis."
"Well, it's almost time for bed," said Rita. "Luna, there is some leftover ribs if you want some."
"Thanks mom, but we had pizza earlier." Lincoln pointed.
"Okay then."
Everyone went upstairs and got into bed after all brushing their teeth. Lincoln and Luna waited until everyone was snoozing, and it was safe for Luna to tuck him in for old times' sake. She tucked Lincoln in bed by moving the blanket to cover uo his body. The next thing Luna did was give him a tender kiss on the forehead to show more love. "Goodnight, Lincoln. I love you so much." She whispered to his right ear.
"I love you too, Luna." Lincoln whispered back to her as she exited the room. At last: everyone was completely asleep and the house was silent, except for the crickets chirping and owls hooting in the night.
The Next Morning
it was another cold winter day in Michigan. But everyone was happy. The whole Loud family has had their breakfast and Luna was ready to look for some more crime to bust and more villains to fight. Lincoln was coming with her as usual since he had the weapons Lisa made for him to aid his sister in battle.
The doorbell rang and Luna was happy to see Mason coming to visit her. "Hey Mason. What's up?" she warmly greeted him.
"Bonjour, Luna. Are you doing alright?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Well, I was thinking, since we're going to Paris next week, I think it would be a good time if I taught you some French to help you get by with all the natives in France. If you speak some French, they will he very grateful and touched to see how you are trying to be open with them."
"Huh. Okay. Sounds cool, and a good idea. Though it sounds a little hard." Luna admitted. "I don't know if I will match up to your skills."
"Don't worry, Luna. French is not that hard. Remember when I told you that; seventy-five percent of English words come from French?"
"I do remember that."
"There you go. So what do you say? Should we get started?"
"Sure, why not?"
Mason then looked at her brother. "And Lincoln, want to learn French too? It will help you too. Especially if you are looking for love."
"Sure. Sounds like a fun language. I like how nasal it sounds."
"Oui, it does sound like that. Trust me, i have been there a few times and speaking French to the French citizens will help you a great deal if you are lost or if you need any help finding anything." he sat on the couch, waiting for the two siblings to sit down with him.
Over the course of time, Mason was teaching them the basic French words for starters, saying hello or goodbye in French. "Huh. Au revoir." Luna began remembering that farewell. "I've heard of that."
"And for see you later, you can just say 'a tout a l'heure' to the person if you are going to see him or her again."
"Gotcha." Lincoln said.
"'A bientot' means 'see you soon' in French. So you can use that as well if you are going to meet with them again." Mason continued. "Bonjour is the most common type of hello, and there is another one to say hello to a person: 'salut'."
"Salut? I think I can remember that one."
Suddenly, Luna's phone began vibrating on the nightstand next to her under the lamp, and she was a little startled. "Hello?" she answered.
"Luna, I have a little situation." it was Jesse, Luna's other friend. "Whenever I raise my hands when there are rocks around, the rocks and pebbles float in midair. Is something wrong with me?"
"Really?" Luna thought. "Don't worry Jesse. Lisa can help you with that. Although, I think I know what the deal is."
"You do? What is it?"
"Seems like you turned into a new superhero."
"Really?" Jesse said in surprise. "Wait, wha- oh, it was the space rock. After I touched it with my hand after I tripped, the radiation went through me."
"Probably Jess. Don't worry, just come on over, and Lisa can take a look at ya just in case."
"K, Luna. Peace." then he hung up the phone
Luna put her own phone away, and addressed Lincoln and Mason: "Looks like we go ourselves a new superhero."
"Jesse?" asked Mason.
"Oui. Jesse." Luna said
Mason smiled seeing Luna learn a little bit of what he was teaching her. "Well, looks like we got a little extra help and a new friend on our team. ne c'est pas?"
"Cool." Lincoln said. "Maybe we can help him train his powers and Leni can make him a super suit."
"Good idea, dude." Luna agreed. For the time being, Mason continued teaching Lincoln and Luna some more French for the Paris visit. After almost an hour, it sounded like Lincoln and Luna were getting the hang of learning a second language like this. With these lessons, Lincoln and Luna will be able to get around France easier if they need anything from the tourists, or if they tried frog legs for the first time. After mastering the basic French words, Mason started to teach them the more... intermediate words and how to address people. "A la carte, s'il vous plait." Luna said
"Parfait! That's usually what you would say to a waiter passerby." Mason pointed. "So after you thank the waiter for the meal, you say" "merci pour le repas, and they will be flattered."
"Gotcha." Lincoln said. The doorbell rang and it was Jessie who was a little nervous.
"There you are, Jess." Luna greeted.
"So where's Lisa?" said he.
"Here, follow me." Luna said. Jesse did just that and Lisa was conducting some weird serum in some isotopes, with some virtual reality goggles. "Lisa, we have a little situation here."
"And what might that be, Luna?"
"Jesse here might have new powers."
"Yeah, I'm a little worried. This morning I accidentally made some rocks float in midair with my hands raised. "Can you help me out please?"
"Of course. The testing will be completely painless." Although she muttered "mostly painless."
"Don't worry, Jess. You're in good hands."
"Alright, I'll take your word for it."
Luna smiled and went downstairs to continue her and Lincoln's French lesson.
