Meteor was still practicing his powers in the secret training room under Lisa's bunker, and he was getting more used to his power every minute he uses them. Luna, Mason, Lincoln, and Sam were impressed by the way he was handling the dummies with both hand-to-hand combat and with his new powers. Lisa, feeling curious, decided to turn it up a little, and make it a little more challenging for her kicks. More tougher robots appeared from the ground and began attacking Jesse, but he was fast and nimble on the rock he was floating on to help him fly in midair. He was evading so many lasers and beams from the tougher moving dummies, and it looked like he was struggling with this
"Lisa, are you sure about this, dudette?" Luna asked
"Do not worry. I have complete faith in him, and you should too."
"But what if-" Sam was cut off when Jesse listed some more boulders from the ground with his powers, and threw them at the attacking robots, crushing them instantly into scrap heap, making everyone's jaw drop on the floor in amazement. "I spoke to soon, it looks like he has everything under control." Sam remarked.
Jesse was practicing his light and rock powers some more, and it went on for at least thirty minutes, and he decided to take another break. "How was I? Was I kicking some scrap butt out there?"
"You were awesome!" Lincoln replied.
"Thanks man. I appreciate it. I feel like I should take it easy for a while."
"How did you learn how to do hand-to-hand fightin' like that, Jess?" Luna asked curiously.
"My dad taught me a thing or two how to defend myself." Meteor replied. "The world's becoming a more dangerous place, and times are changin'. Y'all gotta be prepared for whatever the world can throw at you, and you'll never know when a villain might mug ya in an alleyway."
"Very good point, Jesse." Mason said. "It's a cruel, evil world out there."
"Sad but true, Mason." Sam slightly bowed her head, "sad but true."
"And like my pere always said: you can't save everyone, but the leas you can do is: save as many lives as you can."
"Yep." Lincoln agreed.
"Amen to that." Jesse added.
"So Jesse, how would you like to come to Paris with us?" Luna said. "It's gonna be fun. What do you say?"
"Paris? Seriously" Meteor asked in surprise. "Man, I never thought i would go to Paris before. What's the occasion?"
"Well, Mason's parents are from their and he gave us an invite to fly us to Paris and see what it's like to be in France."
"Well, I guess I can talk to my parents about that. My dad might not come with me because he is the chief after all, but my mom and little sister might wanna."
"The more the merrier." Mason smiled.
Suddenly, Luna's phone vibrated and answered it. "Hello?... Oh hey Yakov. What's going on... Oh, you're looking for us? Hold on, we'll be right out. Okay, see ya in a few... bye." hanging up, she addressed her brother and cohorts: "Yakov wants to see us and how Jesse is handling his new powers. Do you think you can show him a thing or two, Jesse?"
"Ah, why not? Nothing wrong with more practice, as long as I don't burn myself out."
Lisa went outside, and found Yakov waiting outside the front door. "Pardon me, Yakov, but the others are in my... bunker."
"Bunker?" asked the cybernetic human. "I didn't know you had a bunker. Are you going to a war, Lisa?"
"No, just for protection if something apocalyptic happens."
"Hmm. Very clever."
The child prodigy held Yakov's metal hand, and escorted him to the bunker, and down to the secret training room, and he was as impressed by the others when they entered it the first time. "I know, bask in it's glory."
"I most certainly will." Yakov went up to the group, and noticed Jesse in his hero suit. "A really nice outfit Jesse." he reached out his right hand for a shake. "Welcome to the team of heroes, comrade."
"Thanks." Jesse smiled before shaking the cyber hand. "And my hero name is meteor."
"I see. And two powers? You think you know a guy." the Ukranian man chuckled. "But, i would like to see how you use them for when a crime attacks the peace in the city."
"You got it. Lisa, ready the dummies again."
"Coming right up."
Another training sequence continued and Yakov was just as impressed as everyone when he was sees Meteor using his light and earth powers against more dummies, and handling it with style. "By Lenin's beard." he said. "Impressive."
"Yeah, i know." Lincoln smiled.
Using his powers for ten minutes, Jesse was starting to sweat a little bit, but he finished off the last dummy with a large wave of light, disintegrating it into melting metal. "That's that." he remarked with his arms crossed in triumph.
"Very impressive." Yakov said. "I think you are ready to be a hero now."
"But what about my dad? He might kill me if I got powers."
"But you got them by accident." Lincoln pointed.
"I know, but he can freak out over the littlest things sometimes, Lincoln. It's too risky for me. Nah, I do not want him to ground me until I turn fifty."
"Come on, he won't find out." Luna scoffed. "Just remember how to control your powers and he might not know about it."
"True point, Luna."
"Well, I suppose that is enough training for one day." Lisa said. "Here, come with me and i will escort you all back to the surface world." Later on, in the house, Lincoln had a thought. "Wait, if we all go to Paris, won't the villains come out and cause evil everywhere with no one to stop the,?"
"Oooh, good point, Lincoln." said Mason
"Does that mean one of us will have to stay behind and keep the city safe?" Sam asked
"Possibly." Luna thought.
It was all silent, but Yakov admitted: "I'll do it."
"You stay behind?" asked Jesse
"Da. I've been to Paris countless times in the past. Along with London, Berlin, Oslo, Helsinki, Moscow, and other cities for traveling purposes. And besides, I would like more time to reconnect with Leon, and be the perfect father for him."
"Well, alright." Mason said. The doorbell rang and Rita answered it to see what it was. "Whoa! A cake!" she exclaimed. Everyone in the house came up to her and looked at it. It was a gigantic, triple-layer cake that is chocolate with vanilla filling inside. It was about the size of a Wedding cake, and with sprinkles on top of it.
"Ooh, this looks yummy." Lana said.
"And there's a note." Leni pointed
Reading out loud, Lynn Sr said: "'to our new friends with the most sincere apologies. Heart Dough and Michelle.'"
"Well, they got us the cake." Lori said. "We should literally inspect it in case it's poisonous or not."
"Good idea."
"Why would a cake be poisonous?" Yakov asked with confusion.
"It's a long story, but Doug and Michelle were villains once." Lincoln explained.
