Intro: Today is our favorite couples wedding day! Let's see how this wedding turns out, shall we?
(A/N: This story was requested by… rao hyuga 18! Thanks so much for requesting this!)
Lucy thought she may be regretting my decision. Not of getting married of course, but of choosing today. She thought it may be too soon. Her nerves just won't settle down. She kept having these ridiculous thoughts pop up in her head. Like, "What if he says no?", "What if he leaves me at the altar?", and many more. They were all very ridiculous thoughts, but they just kept repeating and repeating. She sighed as she sat in the chair waiting for the girls to finish getting dressed. She stood up and walked over the mirror for the twelfth time today.
In front of the mirror stood a blonde haired girl whose hair was curled. She had light neutral makeup, but enough that made it stand out. The dress was also very beautiful. A white dress that went down towards the floor, with Lace over the skirt of it. The top of it was just a plain silky white material, that was sleeveless. Right where the skirt and top, a white ribbon with a bow to the side sat. It was a very beautiful dress, and I couldn't help but continue to stare at it. The heels are just 3in and are white. What really stood out though was the smile on the blondes face. As nervous as she may be, Lucy was very excited to marry the love of her life.
Suddenly a short blue haired bookworm appeared beside her. "Come on Lu~chan, it's almost time! They're having us get in our positions." Lucy swallowed the lump in her throat and followed Levy to the front of the doors, getting in the back and grabbing ahold of Gray's arm. "You ready for this Lucy?" Lucy could only nod her head and give a smile in response. Lucy's bridesmaids were in the very front. Lucy's bridesmaids were Levy, Erza, Cana, and Wendy. The maid of honor, otherwise known as Mira was the last one in line to go out before the kids. After that were the ring bearers, otherwise known as Mira and Laxus' twin boys. After that came the flower girls, otherwise known as Aska and Jellal and Erza's kid. After that was Lucy and Gray, who would be walking her down the aisle as a brother figure.
Soon the music started playing and the doors to the church opened. She could see the bridesmaids walk into the church and then lastly saw Mira walk through. After Mira got to the front and stood beside the other bridesmaids, the music changed over. Lucy took a long breath before starting her walk with Gray, following the kids into the church. After she entered the doors she stared ahead of her, towards the front of the church and let her eyes land on his. He stood in a black tux at the front of the church. She barely noticed Gajeel, Jellal, Laxus, Romeo, and Freed behind him. Natsu stood there looking at her and had his mouth agape. He could feel tears in his eyes at seeing her, but he didn't want to cry in front of everyone.
Lucy and Gray finally reached the end of the aisle, he gave her hand over to Natsu's and walked away to sit next to Juvia. Natsu helped Lucy step up the last stair and stand in front of him while holding hands in between them. "You're very beautiful, Luce." Natsu whispered. Lucy gave off a smile as a thank you and tried to get the tears to stop flowing. It wasn't even that far into the wedding and she was already crying. By the end of it, she figured she would be a crying mess. Time seemed to flow by as they got through the introduction to it and the few basic parts. Now once did they part eyes.
Now, it was time for the vows to be said. Natsu opened his mouth and said, "Lucy Hearfilia, we've had a lot of time together. It seems like just last month we met, like just last week we started dating, and it seems like yesterday when I asked you to be my wife. We've been through a long journey, a journey that has gone on for 7 years. 4 years as friends, 2 and a half years as boyfriend and girlfriend, and half a year as fiance's. This journey has been like no other, not even our countless missions together could prepare. I've made promises before, but it's time I make some more. I will not take our time together for granted. And because words cannot do it, I promise to show you, for the rest of my life, how much I love you. I promise to encourage you to follow your dreams. I promise to make you laugh when you are taking yourself too seriously.
I promise to hold your hand through the good times and through the bad times. I promise to be loyal and faithful and to put you before all else. And I promise that when we are old and gray, we will look back on our lives together and will have no regrets." Even though Natsu told himself he wouldn't, he couldn't stop the tears that streamed down. Lucy herself was also in tears, and could not stop the neverending leaks that poured down her face.
Lucy took a deep breath and started with her own vows. "Natsu Dragneel, my lifelong friend, partner, love of my life, and my soulmate. It seems like our time together has gone far. For the longest time I would tell everyone we would never work out, and looking back today, I can just laugh at myself. I know now you're the one for me. The one I can lean on for support and for life. When we first met, I never imagined this day would come, but now that we are here I couldn't have imagined choosing anyone else but you to go through life's journey with. I love your laugh, your smile, your caring nature, your personality, your jealousness, your overprotectiveness, and everything about you. I promise to support you, to honor you and to love you unconditionally, even when we may disagree on something. I can't imagine where I would be without you, and I cannot wait to continue this crazy journey with you by my side." Lucy wound up hiccuping many times in her vows and could barely see past her teary eyes. Natsu had more tears falling down her face and squeezed her hand in a way to show his love and gratitude towards what she just said.
They were now allowed to take the rings from the ring bearers and hold them in their hands. The priest spoke up, "Do you Natsu Dragneel, take Lucy to be your wife?" Natsu looked her in the eyes and said loudly and clearly, "I do." Lucy put the ring on Natsu's finger. "Do you Lucy Heartfilia, take Natsu to be your husband?" Lucy continued to stare at Natsu in the eyes while saying, "I do." Natsu slipped the ring onto her finger. "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." Natsu leaned forwards and quickly kissed Lucy to seal the marriage.
(A/N: So, I've never been to a wedding. So, how was this? Please leave reviews so I know what to write next! I do have another requested one to write up real quick, but I will need more!)
