Welcome back if you're joining me from WFC and Hello to any newcomers! I expect to be updating 2-3 times a week. I hope you enjoy.
Sebastian woke up with a groan on the first day of spring in a room that was far too bright to be his own. Where the fuck am I? He racked his brain, trying to pull at memories from the night before. He remembered going to bed in his room. He thought. His head was pounding, and trying to think about it only made it feel worse. He blinked several times, trying to take in his surroundings. There was a woman in the bed next to him, and he had definitely never seen her before in his life. What happened to me? He sat up, groaning again. He shielded his eyes from the light streaming in from the window. The woman next to him, stirred, blinking with a yawn. He tried to take in his surroundings, his breath catching in his throat recognizing several of his possessions.
"What the fuck?" he whispered out, rubbing his eyes in disbelief.
The woman sat up, and rubbed at his back, causing him to jump, flinching away from her.
"Yoba Bash, either you drank more than I realized last night, or you're even more of a lightweight than I thought," she said in a teasing voice.
He turned to look at her, eyes widening when he noticed how pregnant she was. There was a mermaid pendant draped on her neck. Who was this woman? And why was he in bed with someone's wife?
"I'll get you some pain killers, and try to keep the beast at bay, unless by some miracle she's still asleep," she chuckled at him, "Maybe you should just lie back down."
Sebastian nodded his head dumbly as she stood up. The woman stretched, and made her way to the windows, closing the shades to block out the light, "Hopefully that helps too. I'll be right back."
Sebastian flopped back down into the pillows, his head absolutely spinning. He pulled the blankets up over his head. His heart was racing and his breaths were starting to come more shallowly. Yoba please don't have a fucking panic attack right now. That's the last fucking thing I need. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to force sleep upon himself. Maybe this was all a dream? He just needed to fall back to sleep and he'd wake back up in his basement room.
He heard movement from the next room, and the woman's voice again, in a warning tone. He heard the door of the room creak open again, followed by quick small footsteps on the wood floor.
"Morgan I said you needed to leave daddy alone!" he heard that woman call from wherever she was.
Daddy? But he didn't have time to process, because suddenly there was a young girl burrowing in the covers next to him. In a flash, she was in his face.
"Mommy said you're sick so I here for kisses and cuddles all better," she said pressing a sloppy wet kiss into his forehead before wrapping her small arms around him, lying on top of him.
Sebastian closed his eyes, trying to regulate his breathing, but the image of the girl's face was burned into his retinas. He realized with a sinking feeling in his stomach that the girl had his eyes and his raven hair. This must be a dream. Or I'm hallucinating. I've lost my Yoba-damned mind.
Then the covers were being pulled off of them, "Morgan I told you Daddy needs to rest," the woman said firmly.
"I make him feel better," the girl insisted, clinging onto him, "Right Daddy?"
"C'mon Morgan," the woman coaxed, "Daddy needs to sit up to take his medicine. Go check on Charlie and make sure he isn't getting into too much trouble."
The girl clambered off of him running out of the room again.
"Sorry," the woman said in a soft apologetic tone, passing him a glass of water and some white pills, "Not as fast as normal, you know?" she patted her stomach, "And who knew stubbornness was genetic?"
Sebastian popped the pills into his mouth, gulping them down with some of the water. He didn't know what he was taking or if he should even trust her, but he was in no state to reject something that would potentially help stop the throbbing of his head. At this point the risk was worth it since he was clearly was losing his damn mind.
"Coffee is going, should be ready soon," she said to him, sitting next to him on the bed, she pressed a kiss to his head, "I hate to be that person, but Yoba I hope you feel better soon. I need you today. No way in hell I'm going to be able to get all that work done on my own. Which I know you know, and you have no control over how you're feeling, I think I'm just stressed. Which would explain why I'm starting to ramble. Sorry about that."
"Mmm," Sebastian nodded having no clue what to say, or what she was even talking about. He looked down at himself for the first time, his own mermaid pendent catching his eye. So in this alternate universe he was married with a kid and another on the way huh? What the fuck? That was apparently the theme for today.
"Alright, I'll let you rest," the woman said, standing up again, "I'll bring you coffee in a bit. And I'll call Abby see if she can come over sooner rather than later."
Abby? At least there would be some familiar face in this fucked up situation. Maybe he could get some answers.
The woman was gone again, and Sebastian lied back down in the bed, and started to quietly cry. What is happening to me?
