Welcome back, everyone! I have news at the bottom, so enjoy the story!
(Earth-11945 AD)
"...I'm sorry?"
"No. I am."
I laid a hand on his round head. Emil and his sister were prime examples of how horrible humanity could be. One turned into a weapon, and the other willingly became a monster to help a friend,
He was due for his happy ending.
"As you might have heard, I am human, and a descendent of the very same humans how did this to you and your sister. As such, this mistake is mine to fix."
I laid my hand on his head, a light shining as I brought forth all his copies, every single one scattering into strings of light. This light streamed into his head before it rose into the air; I took my hand away and smiled as a human shape became clear.
Soon it landed on its own two feet, feet clad in elegant dress shoes.
What stood before me was what appeared to be a young boy, dressed like a young lord. Finery clad his form while a much more intricate version of his former cloak hung from his shoulders, his staff again gracing his hands as his purple eyes opened in shock.
Awe seemed to fill him quickly before he barreled into me. He was hugging his face to my stomach, and I gave him a few pats on the head right before I realized how wrong this might look.
'...Let's fix that.'
Quickly I raised my hand, a clock appearing in front of it before I rotated my hand. Instantly he grew a few years.
Where he was just under 5'0 before, now he was solidly 5'4. He moved back as He looked himself over.
"I'm...older?"
"Yeah, I had a feeling you've been a child for too long. How is it?"
"So much has changed..."
He was right. His hair had grown longer and was now just between his shoulder blades. His face had gained some age yet still held a youthful softness. However, it seems he was doomed to be a heart-breaker.
'I don't know whose idea it was to make some guys outmatch girls in feminity, but holy shit, did he grow up girly!'
Poor kid went from Shota to Trap. Wait, he was gay, right? Pretty sure I read that somewhere.
'Nevermind, the kid is going to break hearts.'
"A good change, right?"
"Yeah! I never thought I would grow older."
"You're still unaging, just in a different age. And you have all your magic as well, no skeleton required."
His eyes widened before narrowing, focusing as a spell shot from his staff.
"I have it all...Sister..."
I let him have a moment before slashing open a tear in space.
"Ready? Let's go."
He quickly walked up, falling in step with me.
"Where are we going?"
"To get your friends."
(The White Fang)
It was almost trivially easy for them to find the proof needed. The signs were all there; it was only their refusal to believe they would be betrayed that stopped them from finding out sooner.
"Scum..."
Adam, of course, gave his opinion. Since he was far from subtle, he was the distraction while she gathered the evidence that now lay in front of them.
Bank statements, secret meetings, fine living, the preferential treatment that no other Faunus got, and his false 'Leaks.'
"How were we so blind?.."
She felt sick. Did she leave home for this? Abandon her family and home just to line that bastard's pockets?
"We only saw the treat, ignorant of the collar lashed around our throats. What a joke, we were still slaves."
He spat to the side.
"It's only my desire to see this traitor sentenced before our kind that stops me from ending him myself. You were unseen, correct?"
"A ghost. I made sure to leave things exactly as he left them."
His smile would give a wolf a run for its money—all teeth and threats.
"Good. That human is useful; here's hoping Lady Khan turns him to the cause."
She was shocked; her eyes widened as she looked over at Adam.
"Don't act so surprised. I may despise most of humanity, but I know that some good exists in them. Just as I can now see, evil dwells within our people."
Her heart lightened. Maybe Adam wasn't too far gone...
(The Gates of Vale)
She walked through, Mercury and Emerald right behind her.
"It's here; we just need to find it before the old fool does."
She spoke the same way she acted, with zero hesitation. Her two followers were readily obeying her unspoken command.
"I'll find out a place for us to stay under the radar."
With that, Emerald melted into the crowd. Her days as a thief were quickly allowing her to become just another face.
"Dad had plenty of contacts in Vale. I'll get some info on what's been going down."
With that, he headed on his way, quickly ducking into a nearby alley. Following a route that only he and his father knew.
'Such good Pawns.'
Her focus was solely upon the magic; it was new but powerful. The old wizard was stunted in strength, and his skill waned with age. Giving away his magic weakened him significantly, so this was in no way his.
She followed the smell of magic to a sign, a smithy.
'They used their power for This? They indeed were unworthy of it.'
She saw the shop was closed and scoffed. It seems they needed to wait.
Fine.
She was patient, after all.
(The Beginning and The End)
"Yes, my child?"
She looked up at the one that gave her forefather's life.
"I wish to meet them."
Of course, he needed no explanation on who she was referring to.
"And if you do?"
"I will request their aid in saving my world."
"...I will allow it. However, convincing him is up to you."
"Thank you, great one!"
"Of course, Hestia."
(Earth-Death of Nier)
I rolled my shoulders as I came through, seeing both Kaine and Yonah standing alone. Of course, the formally possessed woman readied her blades. I stood aside, watching shock cross her face.
"Emil?"
"Kaine..."
He rushed towards her, embracing her fully as he wept.
"But...you died...and how are you older!"
"I survived; I spent years on my own. He helped me, gave me my body back and everything!"
"Years...How long were we fucking up here!?"
"Not long. We're from the future."
I spoke up for the first time.
"The hell are you on about?"
"This Emil is from centuries in the future. I found him there and helped him out. Now we're here for you."
Her eyes narrowed.
"And why would you do that?"
"To fix humanity's mistakes. Everything that happened here was the fault of those that came before; now, I plan on fixing it."
She looked him over, eyes taking in his every detail.
"Fine. What's next then?"
"We go home."
He slashed a gate open, waving them through. However, he looked back before he went himself.
"That goes for you both too."
The souls of Nier and Weiss seemed surprised before smiling. I held out my hand, and they took it, pulling their spirits into my body for safekeeping.
I smirked as I made a copy of all his years of combat and training, along with Weiss's magic. Learning how to fight has never been so easy. Now to get them both bodies, this story is getting a happy ending, damn it!
(The Bunker)
I watched as they looked around, amazed at the futuristic technology.
Time for step two.
I placed a hand on the console, linking up with every ship. Dismissing the Yamato, I summoned a different weapon to my grasp. The Kingdom Key appeared in my hand, the people in the room curious about my action.
Pointing towards the window, I caused a vortex to appear, large enough to take the Bunker in its entirety.
I couldn't help my grin as I sent every ship through, the Bunker going last.
On the other side, the planet of Remnant.
Oh yeah.
It's all coming together.
(Back in Vale)
She was quite the high priority. As the leader of the White Fang, wherever she went, eyes followed. This is why she hid nothing about the reason for her visit; it would do more harm than good.
She visited the Faunus Ward first.
While before such a name was derogatory, now it was said with pride.
It was without a doubt one of the most beautiful parts of the city, with its clean streets and old-vale design, more than a few art students had come down to visit.
She smiled and spoke with the people there, glad the Faunus were happy and treated right. A few members of the Fang saluted her as well, and they were helpfully answering any questions she had about the area.
The more she saw, the more she knew it was the right choice to make to get Azrael on their side.
More than a few members of the council were already making inquiries about who renovated the area. While the Faunus were tight-lipped, those who knew where to look could easily find Azrael owning the entire district.
They would either try to recruit him or silence him.
She would not allow it.
Scarce is the human who does so much with no bad intentions. Not since the days of Winter King Schnee were the Faunus treated so well.
Unfortunately, the man himself was out on business. So she would have to wait till tomorrow.
Time to see what this district has to offer then.
(Hideout-Vale)
"You two sure about this?"
He was only asking for his peace of mind. Out of everyone in Vale, that kid was one of few he could support taking care of his girls.
"Of course we are! I'm just surprised big sis took so long."
Neo shrugged before smirking, a pair of keys appearing in her hands before vanishing.
"Oh. You were waiting for Azrael to trust you first!"
She could intrude at any point she wanted; however, she let him invite her instead. This way, she knew he wanted her.
"Alright. Consider that kid and his business off-limits. I'll make sure everyone else stays in line. Besides, work has never been better. More wealth in the city means more I can skim off the top. Tell him to keep it up."
(Over Remnant)
Alright, time for the next step.
"Commander. Are you ready for your next order?"
The woman in white stood proud, eager to start the glorious work I promised.
"Of course, sir."
"Good. I want you to start building a worldwide communications network. The first rule in War is to make sure you can speak with your troops and allies. Make sure you're unseen."
She saluted, barking out orders to the other Yorha androids.
"Once you've finished, I want you to find and sort out the non-Yorha androids in 5 groups. Have each build a camp on Remnant's landmasses except for the Grimm lands and the Dragon-shaped continent, and each center will be a starting zone for our work."
I pulled down a map of the world.
"The Vale camp will report to me directly, and its cover will be a frontier village where I grew up. The name will be Overture. Your goal is to gather all information from the other centers, organize it, and send it to me. All Grimm are to be exterminated on sight."
I pointed west.
"The Vacuo camp will recon, finding out information from both legal and illegal sources. While all centers will have a scouting team, this camp is purely doing as such. Its cover will be a trading caravan and a traveling town that exchanges goods and resources. A certain amount of money will be provided as a start-up. Your name will be Medjed."
I pointed towards Atlas.
"This camp will focus on R&D. Weapons, Dust, Aura, and Grimm. Hack into Atlas servers and copy everything they have as a starting point. Ensure you are overlooked; the world isn't ready for us yet. Your cover will be a small mining village working for a minor dust distributor. The name? Snowpeak Village."
My hand moved again, pointing towards Mistral.
"This camp will be a mercenary group. No drastically illegal jobs; however, I will leave where that line is to your discretion. Your job is public support, safety, and monetary gain. Mistral has a traitor in its headmaster, sending out teams of huntsmen to die and leaving the kingdom weakened. Make up for this by being a slightly cheaper alternative. Don't be afraid to recruit more into the group; however, keep what we indeed do a secret. Any money you gain is used to invest in the company, while the rest is hidden until needed. I expect to hear great things; their name will be Foxhound."
I moved on the isle of Faunus.
"We will focus efforts here on terraforming. We are making the island more livable and erasing any Grimm that's too much of a threat. Your cover will be an off-shoot of my company, and this connection should give you some credibility. Doing this will upset the balance of the kingdoms, which is perfect for my plans. Your name will be Terraworks."
Finally, I pointed at the last base, and this one was most important in my eyes.
"I want you to build a kingdom here—one where Faunus, Humans, and Androids can live in harmony. Your secondary job is to find the Pool of Creation. Trust me; you'll know it when you see it. Ensure that this land will be one to last as long as man draws breath. Your name shall be Insomnia, the capital of the Kingdom of Lucius."
I owed the old man that much after all. Plus, I had some ideas.
"A2 and the twins will be coming with me, and as will the rest of my guests. Yorha will spread itself between all the bases and the Bunker. To blend in, around half of all androids have received Faunus features. However, we are far from finished."
I gave a smile to all the androids around me.
"As thanks for your efforts. I shall give every last one of you an Aura and Soul of your own. Not only to further blend in, but as proof that no matter what, you are people."
A sphere grew in my hand, right before I crushed it. A light settled over my androids, shrouding them in its presence. A rainbow of lights rose from the crowd, their eyes watering at the further proof of their existence.
"You have your orders, everyone. For the Glory of us All!"
I saluted to them, and they copied me immediately—a broad smile of pride on their lips.
I waved my group towards me as I walked through a gate I had made, ending up in an alley close to my home. With a snap of my fingers, A2 and Kaine were wearing more...sensible outfits.
"Sorry, but we can't draw attention."
Ignoring their grumbles, I walked to my door. As I opened it, I was surprised to see Himiko and Neo there.
"Azzy!"
And was promptly glomped. Himiko soon noticed the crowd of people behind me.
"New friends?"
As I opened my mouth to answer, more people walked in.
"Hello there, I was hoping to meet the smith."
...Why the hell was Cinder here?
"Open? Finally, I've been eager to meet you."
Sienna Khan?
"Is Azrael here?"
Who the hell is this? Wait, brown robes. Eyes like a warm fire. Divinity...
Hestia!?
"Darling has gotten so popular!"
I looked around at the crowd in my store—time for the panic option.
Quickly I chose my next Domain.
Suddenly my presence seemed like...More. As if my very existence was dripping charisma. Considering that was my choice in godhood, I wasn't far off from the truth.
I gave a smile that could warm even the coldest heart, spreading my arms wide as I looked over at my guests.
"Welcome one and all to Luciusworks! How may I help you?"
Here we are! Sorry for the delay; I wrote using an online app, and my internet was horrible. I finally got this done! Also, I managed to post a new story as well! Check that out once you're done here.
Till next time!
