Everyone was lucky to get out of there alive. Poor Sebastien was rushed to the nearest emergency room, still in pain after being shot in the knee by his own brother. It was excrutiatingly painful for the poor scientist to endure. The only question now was "Will he survive? Will he stay alive?" it remains uncertain, for the doctors needed to act fast to save Sebastien's life. Sure, France had one of the best healthcare systems in the world, but can Sebastien be saved and have his knee recover? Or will it be too late? In the Hospital, Mason was with his dad while Luna, and the others were with him, feeling concerned about the safety of the boy's father. Mason could hardly believed what had just happened. He let his anger get the best of him, and he cooked many Les Loups Enrages alive on the spot with his fire powers.

Granted, these guys were evil, but he never really wanted to kill anyone specifically. What's even worse was that his own uncle, Arno was behind all of this the whole time.

Danielle was in shock to see her old friend go berserk and kill many dozens of Les Loups Enrages like this. She was mostly quiet and didn't really say a word, and just looked at Sebastien, still in pain from his wound. Luna noticed Mason looking guilty and having a few tears streaming down his face from all of that. "Mason?" Luna said, sitting down next to her own friend and putting a comforting hand on his back. "Dude, are you ok?"

"No." Mason sighed. "My own dad just got shot by my own uncle, and uncle Arno was the one behind this the whole time. I let my anger get the best of me."

"You did what you had to do, man." Luna reassured him. "Arno was probably going to kill us all if you haven't gone full-angry on those turds."

"True. That's true.

"Mason," said Danielle. "I've... never seen you like that before."

"Danielle, I'm sorry I scared you." mason looked away from her in shame. "I understand if you don't want to be my friend anymore."

The girl looked a little confused. "What? Zat's ridiculous. Of course you're still my friend." she knelt down in front of him. "Look, I was a little... surprised, but I wasn't scared. You saved us."

Mason realized that his old friend was right. He did save the heroes from dying in the hands of Arno and his dastardly security force. Despite that, Mason certainly feels trauma in what just happened to his own father. The worst part of it was: he was shot by his own brother, a member of his own family. "But... can we save dad?" he looked over at Sebastien, who was still in great pain. He walked over to him, and he asked: "Dad, are you alright?"

"It hurts, Mason." Sebastien grunted. "It hurts so bad."

"Doctor." The fire hero looked at the medical professional, "Can you help him?"

"We'll see what we can do." the doctor replied: "As a matter of fact, I think you got him in here just in the nick of time. But... I cannot say for sure if we can absolutely save him. Zat wound is pretty grievous on him." the doctor then had a thinking look on his face.

"It's my fault." said Sebastien. "Zis is all my fault. I put you kids in danger, and I was blind enough to have us get so close to Arno in the first place."

"Don't say that, Sebastien." said Lincoln

"Yeah, it wasn't your fault." Sam added

"That double-crossing turd manipulated all of us." Jesse said. "But we promise, Mason," he looked at Color Fire, "As soon as we find him, we'll make sure he was never born in the first place, and make him pay for what did."

"Merci beaucoup, guys." Mason said. "But... I can't kill my own uncle. He's... family."

"I hate to break it to you," said Sabre, "but I don't think we have a choice. He's probably too dangerous to be kept alive, considering ze fact from all zees attacks he created."

Thinking more of this deep down, Color Fire realized that Arno, despite being his own uncle, had to take him down by any means necessary. Whether it would be locked up in a federal prison for life, or executed by a firing squad, or even sent to a guillotine as punishment.

Arno sure has caused France a little bit of grief, as if he was the new Maximilian Robespierre, the father of the Reign of Terror. Perhaps Arno needed to be brought to justice either way. Dead or alive, he needed to be brought to justice.

"I still can't really believe it." said Luna. "Arno was a really nice guy when we first met him on our arrival to France."

"He was always good at acting." Sebastien said. He felt bandages being wrapped around his grievous wound. It hurt him a lot like his legs was slowly being cut off. despite that, they had to make his leg feel better, or die trying.

"Sure looked like it, monsieur." Lincoln said.

"He always wanted to be an actor." Sebastien continued. "but, I never thought he grew so jealous of me. I understand why he is jealous in ze first place, but... to the point of wanting me dead?" he looked down, feeling like crying at the thought of what just happened."

"You didn't know." said Sam.

"We need to tell ze president about this," said Adewale, "Maintenant!"

"I'll do ze call." Paton volunteered before going out in the hallway.

"It goes to show." said Mason. "Your worst enemy could be your own best friend. You have to trust someone to be betrayed."

"And I learned zat the hard way." Sebastien admitted.

"Don't be so hard on yourself." said Sam. "like Jesse said: he fooled us all."

"We'll take care of him, kids." said the doctor. "But you need to leave."

"What? no! we're superheroes! I have to remain with him!"

"I'm sorry." said the doctor. "We need to perform an operation on him."

"But i-"

"Don't worry, about me, Mason." Sebastien gave him a smile. "I will be fine. trust me on zis."

Mason still looked a little unsure, and he was very worried about his father. He didn't know for sure if Sébastien was going to survive or not. Alas, he needed to leave and there were more important things to worry about than just this.

"Come on, guys." said Mason. "time for a little payback."

While walking down the hospital hallways and corridors, Luna looked at Lincoln, who was looking a little worried about him. She just witnessed his own friends' father get shot in the knee, and Sebastien could die from a wound like that. "Bro," she said

"Yeah Luna?"

"I know you.. I know you wanna help out, and I know you're a good fighter, but... I prefer you stay at the guesthouse until Arno's been stopped."

Lincoln frowned and he said: "but, i wanna help."

"I know, but this is probably too dangerous for you."

"Luna, I'm not a baby, and I can fight-"

"NO!" Luna bellowed, scaring Lincoln a little bit, taking him aback. The rocker girl realized that she frightened him a little bit and took a breath. "Sorry, Lincoln. I didn't mean to scare you." she put her hands on his shoulders. "I know you can fight, but you're my little brother and I'm only doing this because I love you. Please... go back to the guesthouse."

Lincoln did not like the idea, but he saw how sincere Luna was, and she only wanted the best for him. "OK. Just be careful, Lincoln."

"We will." Luna smiled and hugged him gently. "And if we don't get out of this, I want to let you know that I love you very much."

"And, if we are not back by morning," said Mason, "call the cavalry for support."

"Got it."

"Danielle, you should leave while you can." Mason said, "it can be too dangerous for you."

"OK, Mason. And don't worry, your pere will be fine."

"Merci, Danielle. it was really nice to see you again."

Luna carried Lincoln all the way back to the guestroom and she gave him a last hug before leaving to find Arno. Lincoln was bummed because he wanted to be out there fighting the bad guys right now. but alas, Luna wanted him to be safe.
