Mason was still in a little bit of shock after he just killed his uncle like that. He really didn't want to do that, but the man committed some atrocious acts with his group, which was no more. Meanwhile, Lincoln and Luna were somewhere private, near the river as a matter of fact, so they can talk. Near the slightly moving water in river next to these kids, Luna took a deep breath and she said: "That was so amazing!" Luna sounded enthusiastic in her voice. "I mean, look at how well you did that gun, dude!"
Lincoln smiled at being praised like this. "Thank you, Luna."
"No problem dude." Luna sounded more calm in her voice. Her demeanor suddenly changed when she suddenly blurted: "WHAT were you thinking, man?" it sounded a little bit like an angry parent berating her child. "I know that was rad, but I thought I told you to stay put in the guesthouse?"
Lincoln frowned and he didn't think it would be like this in turn of events. "But... I thought you would be proud of me." he said slowly
"Don't get me wrong," Luna continued. "I'm totally proud of you for helping us, but I'm still disappointed in you in a way." Luna frowned. "But I told ya to stay at our hotel room. You could have been killed. You disobeyed me dude, with insubordination and all."
Lincoln was starting to feel guilty and rather bad at disobeying her. Deep down, he really wanted to feel what he did was right. "I was scared, Luna. And I wanted to surprise you with the Ace Savvy outfit on a rainy day. or, in this case: snowy day."
The rocker girl made a sigh, and she said: "Look, I know you were thinking of me and and the guys. But I didn't want ya to end up like Sebastien. And... I don't even know if he'll survive, but Don tell Mason though."
"I know you told me to stay put Luna, but I'm sure if I did what you did, then you would have done the same thing I did, save you."
"Touche. Good point, Lincoln." Luna pointed. "But still, it was still very dangerous. I know that you were helping us and it was a very crafty plan, but i just... didn't want to lose you."
"I understand if you were mad at me."
"Oh no, no. I'm not mad." Luna reassured him. "But it was still too dangerous for you to do that."
"But when I saw you fight like that," Lincoln pointed, "you didn't look scared and you're generally not scared at most things."
Luna made a small look of doubt before replying: "Well, I don't know about that, dude. I was scared today."
"You were?"
"Uh, yeah!" Luna said. "I thought i would lose you forever." she put a hand on his left shoulder. "It was pretty cool, but still risky."
Lincoln frowned once more, and he said: "I'm sorry." he bowed his head slightly. "I know you told me to stay at the guestroom, but I was only trying to help you guys out. I mean, I am an important member of the team after all."
"Of course! of course you're important." Luna smiled. "I never said you weren't."
"Are you going to punish me or something?"
"unfortunately," Luna said, "I can't. I'm not mom and dad."
"True."
"Still, you managed to put up quite a fightin' display." the ice girl admitted with a smirk. "Wouldn't surprise me if someone didn't get some of this on video."
"Yeah, maybe they did. Are you still disappointed in me Luna?"
"Half and half." Luna admitted. "Half proud and half disappointed. I'm a little sure mom and dad might ground you for a week or two when we get home and tell them about our visit here in France."
"Ah, I'm ok with it. I'm used to being grounded for a week or two."
"Good." Luna was thinking that she might have been taking this a little too far and she pulled her brother in for a hug. "I'm just glad you're OK, and everyone else is OK."
"But what about Mason?" Lincoln pointed. "I... don't think he'll be able to sleep right for a little while."
Luna frowned, and even though Arno caused her, and the others quite a bit of grief, but he was Mason's uncle, her newest best friend in her life. "I hate to say it, but you're right. Yeah, we saved the day, but I got a feeling that Mason will get the case of PTSD after all that happened today. But I hope he will be ok. I told him it was either him or his uncle."
"Yeah, he did the right thing. From what happened, Arno was too dangerous to be left alive. He would probably killed more people if we didn't stop him like this."
"Right? But I want him to be OK."
"We all do." Lincoln said. "But are you sure you're not mad?"
"Not mad." said Luna. "But i am gonna talk to the folks about this. But, I think this calls for celebration."
"Shouldn't we check on Sebastien?'
"Right! Excellent thinking, mon frere." Luna snapped her finger with the gun gesture with her right hand. "I hope he's OK."
"Moi aussi, Luna. Moi aussi. And I honestly wished our family and our friends were here to see what we did to the bad guys in France. They would have been very amazed!"
Luna smiled and chuckled before saying: "I agree with ya, Linc. I agree with you completement. Well, come on. We still have a few more days here in France, and I think we can be completely calm and at ease. Yeah, just digging some positive vibes now that Les Loups Enrages is histoire."
"Agreed. There's still so much to do in Paris." Lincoln smiled. "But we should check on our friends. And we can just be there for Mason when he needs us, as his friends."
"Bro, I couldn't agree with you more on that one." Luna hugged him. "Still, I am very proud of you. You, and that big, white-haired head of yours."
