At last, the day came when it was time for the heroes to go back home to America. At Charles De Gaulle national airport, there was a large group of French citizens behind a line of French officers and security guards with the French president at the center of everyone to bid all of the heroes a temporary farewell. Sabre, Leclerc, Paton, Chevalier, and Adewale were present too, smiling and in traditional military uniforms like they were doing a parade for the French Foreign Legion. "Before you go, Kids." said Sabre, he gave Luna a kind of homing device in blue that would blare a beacon colored blue. "If you ever need assistance in any way if you feel outnumbered," Sabre explained, "Zis device will give us a call with one push of zis button, and we will try to be there as fast as we can."
"Consider zem like your personal bodyguards." Macron winked at Luna.
"Wow, tres bien." said Luna. "This is awesome! Merci beaucoup, guys." she did the devil horn gesture with her left hand to show more appreciation from from the GIGN troops. Lincoln, Mason, Sam, and Jesse were just as glad as Luna was, and they were flattered to get personal help whenever they felt like it. The only one missing was poor Sebastien. He had to remain in France for at least three days so that he can recover from his gunshot wound his traitorous brother put on him. luckily, this was Sebastien's personal plane with his personal pilot.
Bruce (the name of Sebastien's pilot), smiled on behind his seat, knowing that these kids were hailed as heroes.
The best part of how Bruce would do it is that: he would be able to come back here and bring Sebastien back to his family for him for free instead of paying hundreds and thousands of dollars, in courtesy from Macron himself. This turned out to be quite a privalege for the heroes, being able to come to many places for free without any trouble (maybe except for Angola, Eritrea, Iran, and certainly the hermit kingdom: North Korea itself), and it was quite an honor for them all. The kids gave small speeches saying that it was a great, great honor to be be here in France, and hoped they will come back one of these days.
The crowd applauded and then Danielle came up to Mason, giving him one last kiss on his lips. A couple of guards from Macron's private security force tried to pull her away, but Macron raised his hand to stop them from doing so, and let the French girl have her fun. "I'll miss you, Mason." she said
"I'll miss you too, Danielle." Mason replied. "But don't worry, i'll visit you again. I know it." they hugged one another, then the crowd cheered on as the heroes got on the plane for their departure. It was looking similar to how there would be crowds of people were cheering and awaiting the Beatles themselves to come off the plane to greet them. Or it would be similar to how crowds would see the Beatles depart from their country. The heroes waved at the audience, the soldiers, Sabre and his troops, and Macron at the same time as the plane took off.
"Bruce," said Mason, "Will dad be coming back home in three days?"
The pilot was rather silent, but he said: "I'm sure he will, kiddo. He told me that if anything was wrong, or if it was going to be delayed, he would give you and your family a call. It took a few long hours, and at last, when they made it back to America, they were greeted at the airport in Royal Woods. The heroes looked around for their families as they were given a call for a ride home and to carry their belongings back to their rooms in their own houses. In the distance, there was the whole Loud family rushing over and giving Luna and Lincoln to welcome them back home. Jesse saw his dad, mother, and sister coming, and they all gave him a hug as well, then Mason's mother and little brother, then Sam and her family as well.
Not only that, but there was Yakov and his son waiting for them all as well. "We missed you guys!" said Rita, hugging Lincoln tightly. "How was France?"
"Was it fun?" asked Lynn Sr. He made a gasp and said: "it's not better than UK, is it?"
"I think, it's just as awesome as ole England, mate!" Luna said.
"Welcome back, son." said Duncan, giving his boy a pat on the back. "Glad y'all are back. Did you have fun?"
"I did, dad." said Jesse.
"Well, I must say," said Michelle, "I'm surprised that you got powers like this.
"I know mom, i'm sorry for not telling you."
"Did you get something nice?" asked Jessica, his little sister.
"I did. I gotcha a little hat." Jesse handed his sister a hat that spelled out: "J'adore France" on it with the Eiffel Tower on it, wihch made Jessica really happy.
"Thanks, Jess." said Duncan. "You're growing up to be a great hero, and you're becoming like me. Someone willing to save anyone in the face of danger, and stop anyone from committing any kind of crime."
"Yes! How about a kiss from your mama!"
"maybe when we get home, mama." said Jesse.
"Are you hurt, Sam?" asked Mr. Sharp
"A few scratches, but I'm good."
"We saw you on the news, and we thought you would have gotten injured from Les Loups enrages."
"It was a pretty wild ride," Sam admitted, "But I'm just fine."
"Lucky you." said Simon.
"Don't worry, Simon." said Sam, ruffing his chubby brother's hair. "You'll get there with me one of these days. We'll even go there as a family." The parents were more than pleased to hear those words, and hugged Sam. As a matter of fact, the others got more hugs from their family. Getting off the plane was similar to the Beatles getting off the plane all those years ago as well. It was really nice to be given such a treatment. Everyone was a little starving after the trip and the families decided to cook their loved ones a special dinner as a welcome back gift.
Yakov walked up to them, and said, "I hoped you all had a fun time in France. Was it fun?"
"Very fun!" said Lincoln. "Still wish you could have been there with us in France. It was crazy fighting Les Loups enrages like that. And we got some cool gifts from Macron and the GIGN."
"Well, about the gift, sport." said Lynn Sr, taking off Lincoln's Ace Savvy mask, "Luna told us about how you disobeyed her. Don't get us wrong, we are very proud of you for taking on a whole criminal organisation in another country."
"But Luna is older than you, and what she says goes when you are with her." Rita said. "So, i'm afraid we're going to have to talk about that when we get home." Lincoln frowned, probably knowing what was going to happen.
"Don't take it the wrong way, sweetie." said Rita. "you did a great job."
"Yeah, I wish I could have been there to fight the bad guys with ya." Lynn said, giving him a rather painful punch on the arm, one of her "friendly gestures" she does with her siblings and close friends. Lincoln was annoyed with this usual gesture Lynn would do to him, but he was used to it. Deep down, he knew that Luna would tell their parents on him for disobeying a direct order from Luna. Alas, he was ready for the consequence, whatever it was. But for now, everyone was heading home and settling down back to their houses.
Lincoln and Luna were greeted by the pets, who really missed them as much as the rest of the family in the Loud house.
"Charles!" Lincoln laughed as he felt the family dog lick all over his face. Everyone got a nice dinner, which was a nice barbecue with burgers and hot dogs on the grill for everyone to eat.
As soon as everyone was full, Lincoln looked at his new Chatellerault machine gun and wondered where he should put it. thing that Sabre and his boys gave him a nice case to put his new gun in so that some sisters like Lynn or Lana wouldn't fiddle with it just in case. He looked at his new, beautiful gun, but he knew he should gave this thing some practice. Perhaps later on tomorrow. For now, he just wanted to settle down.
He laid in his bed and thought of how great it was to be back home. He unpacked his belongings and wanted to take a nap.
For Luna, she wanted to just relax too and wanted to watch some television in the living room, and suddenly remembered Lincoln. Going to her parents bedroom behind the sofa, she said: "Mom, dad, aren't you going to talk to Lincoln?"
"Oh! that's right." said Lynn Sr. "I probably ate too many hamburgers, I didn't even notice." He and Rita got upstairs so that they can discipline Lincoln. They found him looking at his new Chatellerault gun and they were a little surprised. "Lincoln,"
"We need to talk now." said Rita.
"Oh! that's right." Lincoln remembered.
Luna looked guilty but she wanted to make sure Lincoln understood why she did this. so he can make sure Lincoln is safe at all times.
"Now Lincoln, like we said, we're really proud of you for helping your sister." Rita said.
"But you still committed an act of insubordination." Lynn Sr said.
"Do people still say that?" Luna wondered.
"Some people, yes. But that's not the issue." said Rita. "We're not changing the subject. So Lincoln, your father is right: you still disobeyed Luna when she told you to stay back at the hotel.
"But you guys are still proud of me, right?"
"Of course, Linc." Luna hugged him. "I'm still very glad that you helped me and the guys. But you still scared me."
"When you listen to your big sisters, you listen to your big sisters." Rita pointed.
"That's right." said Lynn Sr. "So now, we have to punish you for it."
"Ok." Lincoln sighed. "I'm ready. I'll even triple the chores around the house if you want."
"Well, we don't know about that." Lynn Sr admitted. "But Luna told me about this gun you received as a present. So the punishment is... You won't use this gun to fight crime for a week, along with shoveling the snow off the driveway and no video games for a week as well."
Lincoln looked at the Golden FM 1924/29, and it was really cool, but alas, the parents were in charge of the house, and whatever they say: goes. "I understand." Lincoln sighed.
"Sorry Lincoln." said Rita flatly. "But, it's the way it has to be."
"And don't worry, we will take good care of this, and put it in the attic." Lynn Sr pointed. "Though they should have gotten you a case."
"They did." Lincoln pointed, getting it from under the bed.
"Oh. Perfect." said Rita. "and we'll sure no one else touches it, Lincoln. We promise." Lincoln gave his parents his new golden weapon, and the parents gently confiscated it, putting it in the case, locking it with the key, and went out of the room to keep it away from anyone until Lincoln wasn't grounded anymore. Of course, there is more than one kind of grounding a parent can do.
Lincoln looked sad, but he knew he had it coming and had to deal with the consequences. "I'm sorry, bro." said Luna. "I love you and I was just looking out for you."
"No, it's ok Luna." Lincoln
"And come on, you still got your laser and laser sword."
Lincoln smiled. "True.
